Merry exhaled slowly, this was her big night. She was in a belly dance troupe that met a few times a week and it was time to belly dance her way under cleige lights. She'd invited Connor and Rodney to see her dance and was happy to have them in the audience. Her pink belly dance dress sparkled in the light and silver combs held her curls back in some sort of order as they trailed down her back in a shimmering cascade. She swayed and moved to the music. She loved Sting's music and how it made her feel lighter than air as her hands made delicate gestures and her hips wiggled and showed off how much she worked out. She smiled seductively at the audience and let the music take her over. The spell going off around this time made her move more sensually than she would have and take more risks. She felt alive and happy and as she moved across the stage it showed in every feature.

A smile spread across Rodney’s face as he watched Merry belly dance in front of everyone. He tried to drown out the looks from the other people in the audience and just pretend that she was dancing for him and him only. But of course Connor was in the room which put quite the damper on things. He knew Merry had feelings for him. He wasn’t stupid. In fact, far from stupid. He could also see the way Connor watched her. He cared about her too which made it very difficult for him to sit next to him right now. But he wouldn’t cause problems. That just wasn’t Rodney. He knew that he meant something to Merry which meant that he had to respect that. Rodney watched as Merry’s hips swayed back and forth, the silver dangling gems from her pink dress moving around rapidly. Her pale skin was bright and sparkly from where he was sitting. He couldn’t wait until after the dance, so he could give her a big hug and hand her the red roses he bought for her. Rodney couldn’t help but wonder if Connor had done the same.
And just Merry’s hips shot from left and then to right, that small hint of jealousy that had been mustering within Rodney grew. Grew into something that wasn’t just jealousy, but hate, hate for the guy sitting right next to him. For some reason, all Rodney wanted to do was one up Connor. Make himself look better in the eyes of Merry. He felt like he had to. He wasn’t even sure if Merry knew he was here just yet. So, he did the first thing that came to mind. Without any hesitation at all, Rodney stood up and yelled at the top of his lungs towards Merry. “WHOOOOOOO! YAY MERRY!” Rodney clapped loudly. He was certain that at least now she would know that he stood up first to show his support, not Connor.

He came here because he was asked to, there was no other reason. At first he put up a fight, as there would be so many people pressing in around him. How would he escape if it all became too much for him? Merry was troublesome, but quickly becoming essential to his life. She kept him calm, at peace when he wanted to lash out at anything that moved. Putting on a nice suit, a silk tie, and placing on his grandfathers watch he was out the door. Sharp and punctual were two words that easily applied to the man, he was never late for anything if he could help it.
Arriving to his seat, Connor was instantly annoyed with the seating arrangements. He had to sit here next to someone he knew to like Merry, she had mentioned him once before in passing. Tonight was going to be a wonderful night after all. Though when Merry started dancing, his mind went blank, all of his thoughts erased in the moment. She was like a siren, haunting, pulling him in with her seductive nature, he almost feared that death was waiting for him at the end of this tantalizing dance.
With each sway, each movement, his obssession only grew worse. Love was in the air, such a deadly use of magic, as it led to obsession in the hands of the wrong person. As he watched her, his eyes started to shift to their soulless black colour as if he was going to feed. Shaking his head, Connor did his best to try and come back to reality, but it was barely working. Luckily for him however, the dance ended, and he was free of her spell for the most part.
There was loud applause, a cheer from the man beside him which angered him. Pretending to yawn, Connor would swing an arm as if he was stretching which was intended to take Rodney to the ground with a swift "junk punch" as it was called. If he was sneaky enough in his execution it would work like a charm, allowing him to slip out of his seat, moving towards Merry with more than one idea in mind. "You cast a spell on the entire audience." he said simply, before looking over at Rodney.
Under the effects of the spell all he wanted to do was one up her. So before him, he would attempt to bend Merry back, smirk devilishly, and kiss her. His throat burned with the desire to taste the blood in her veins, the blood beneath the soft flesh of her lips. If no one came to her aid, obsession would win in the end, he would bleed her dry.

Merry finished her dance with a flourish and curtsied to the audience. There were applause and then she heard Rodney cheering her on. She laughed happily, and waved at him, bouncing lightly as she took the stairs, "You came! I'm so happy you got here." she said as she made her way past the crowd. Then suddenly she sensed Connor and her eyes grew wide, "I didn't I swear its just the heat more than anything I'm s---." she was cut off by Connor swooping in and kissing her.
She was too stunned to melt like they did in the movies. And too busy trying not to fall over as the crowd parted around them. "Its good to see you too, Connor. Though I have to say I've never been greeted like that coming off the stage." she slowly got her balance and straightened herself a bit. She sensed Connor was in a dangerous mindset and she projected calm at him as much as she possibly could, "You both look amazing. I'm so glad I had someone here. Dad had a client pop up suddenly and I really wanted someone here and you both came. Its so great." she was happily enthusiastic as she looked between the two and tried to keep them from killing each other.
"So have you two met? Its actually kind of funny, I met you both on the same day. I mean I must be the luckiest girl in the world to meet two fantastic guys the same day." she looked at Connor, "I like the suit. Very fancy. Have you been doing any modeling?" she teased him lightly.
She glanced over at Rodney and her face lit up, "Oh my goodness are those for me? I LOVE Roses so much!!!" she practically bounced in place. "I'm feeling so spoilt tonight. Rodney you are amazing. These are so pretty! Thank you. You are awesome."
She slowly slipped out of Connor's arms and hugged Rodney, "Thank you so much!" she said to him. "I'm so happy to have you here." and she was genuinely happy.
Still, she could sense Connor was not thrilled and moved back towards him leaning against him and projecting calm and reassurance at him, "I know you've been busy helping Ai, Connor. It really means a lot to me that you made it tonight." she said as she looked up at him and leaned against him slightly. "My feet are killing me. Can we go to an ihop or something? I am starving."

It only took a few seconds after Rodney stood up to yell for Merry that everyone followed suit and applauded for her. Her dance was completed and a smile was spread across her face as she waved at him. He waved back. He could see her make her way down the stairs, and just as he was about to head her way, Connor did the unthinkable, and by the time Rodney realized it wasn’t a stretch, it was too late for him to stop it from happening. Connor’s fist punched at his groin, and just as any other male would do, Rodney went down grabbing for the injured area. Of course Connor would do that. After all, all he ever did was try to steal Merry from him.
It took Rodney a few seconds to be able to stand straight up again without wincing. He breathed out slowly one last time before glancing around looking for where the hell that jerk went. When he spotted him all he could do was grit his teeth and say aloud, “You little a-hole.” Rodney watched has Connor grabbed HIS girl and pressed his lips against hers. All Rodney wanted to do was rip that girly hair right off of his head. But then he’d risk being called a girl himself due to the catfight-esque of that specific move.
Rodney tried to hide his wince as he hobbled over to Merry and Connor. When he got there, Merry had already pulled away and commented on Connor’s apparently very unexpected kiss. It was on! It was clearly a strike at Rodney. But just as Rodney was about to say something to Connor, Merry told them that they both looked amazing. Rodney glanced at Connor’s wardrobe. It was completely lame all around. This was a nice event yes, but a tux? Really? “Yes, fancy for a funeral,” Rodney commented as he chuckled. “I guess he didn’t get the memo that this was casual wear.” He smirked ignoring Merry’s comment about them not ever meeting. He really didn’t need to meet this guy to know he was an arrogant prick that just needed to go away and quick getting in the middle of what Rodney and Merry obviously have.
Rodney was so caught up in bashing Connor’s outfit that he hadn’t realized Merry had noticed his roses. She took them from his hands, and he gave her a smile. “Oh, yeah. These are for you.” He welcomed her hug very openly. As long as she was out of his arms, he was happy. He wrapped his arms around her and smirked at Connor almost as if to send him a ‘haha I’m winning’. But the hug only lasted a few seconds and then she was moving towards Connor again. What the hell! This was irritating Rodney, and when she mentioned ihop, Rodney was pretty sure excluding Connor was not something she would be interested in. “Yeah, let’s go get something to eat. I’m buying!” Rodney quickly blurted. There was no way this was going to be easy, but maybe if he bought, it would give him the upper hand.

"Yeah well, you've never met any men that are exactly like me before. I don't expect you to react any other way." he said with a laugh as he watched her expression. The colour under her skin was so tempting, the redness that showed through the surface. For a moment there he could have sworn he was slipping into his feeding mood. All noise phased out of the room, there was nothing but the quick rhythmic beat of Merry's heart that was like a drug to him. He was trapped in the moment until he picked up another coming towards, causing him to snap out of little dream, a feral rage building inside of him.
Connor offered an innocent smile, looking back and forth between Rodney and Merry. "I'm sorry sir, have I done something to offend?" he asked in a playful tone, knowing pretty well that it would only ramp up the tension this game created. There was a charming smile that flashed on his expression, even if his mood suggested murder. Straighting his tie a bit, he fussed at his jacket as Merry seemed to take notice of it all. It was for her, he could not imagine looking nothing short of excellent for her. "I'm sure your father would have loved to be here, I actually ran into him a few days ago. He seemed nicer than normal.." he said, seeming confused about what she might have said.
Snapping back to the conversation at hand, Connor eyed Rodney with an amused smirk. "If you would like we could have one right now, then I wouldn't seem so out of place." he said in a calm manner, though his rage was boiling over the edge. He had never gotten a lid on his fledgling rage thus far, everything was at risk tonight, not just the man standing in front of him. Connor felt like an addict, one going through a serious withdrawl as he felt Merry's warmth nearby. All of that faded however as he watched her recieve the flowers, even hug the man. Why was he such a jealous mess? Was this really a part of who he was?
"See, you even brought the right flowers for one?" he said, smirking. Rodney was quicker than him however when she mentioned iHop, he didn't even get the words in his head before Rodney had shouted them out. Things were going nuts in this moment between the two of them, if this wasn't brought under control tonight it would go from international house of pancakes to international house of blood. "Not a problem Merry, you know I wouldn't miss this for the world." he said, with a laugh. He would let Rodney think he had won for now, "Go on ahead with him, I will catch up in a moment." he said, swatting Merry's butt playfully as he wandered off, opening his phone to make a call.
He had come here on foot tonight, it was better if he let them go ahead so that he could just beat them there.

"You are unique that is for sure. I never know what to expect." she agreed as she settled herself a bit and straightened her skirt. She sensed his growing rage and tried her best to ease it 'I'm right here, Connor. Did I do something wrong? I don't understand...' she asked him as he went from hungry to pissed, "I told, Dad you were assisting Ai and he relaaxed. He thinks that is a great idea."
Merry went from happy to completely confused in five seconds, she totally did not get where any of this was going. Her lips still tingled from that kiss and she could smell Rodney's aftershave from having hugged him for the flowers. This was not going well. At this rate they were going to have to end things early and she'd have to raid her cousin's stores of blood to keep Connor calm. She sighed and shifted gently. She would be easy to find tonight. She jingled like a cat.
"Guys, please come on don't fight. Its a nice night out and fighting would just ruin it. I really need to eat. My blood sugar is starting to crash from all the glaring." she said as she pulled out her keys and looked between them. "Its nice of you to buy for us, Rodney." she said with a grateful smile as she looked and tried to figure out in bro speak. She was lousy with male issues. She kept projecting her presence at Connor to calm him down. She relaxed when he laughed and then nodded at the comment of catching up "Okay, we'll--"
She jumped when he slapped her ass teasingly and spun around. Shocked that he had done such a thing, "What has gotten into you tonight?" she asked in complete bafflement before she shook her head gently, though not unkindly, "Come on, Rodney." she said as she began walking out to the car with the football jock. "Food beckons."
"He's never acted like this before I just don't get it...." she said with a shake of her head, "Are you okay, Rodney? Did you fall on your knee again?" She had no idea he had been man tested by Connor. Her angle had completely hid that from view.
'You only did that because Rodney is here. I don't understand you, Connor. You keep sending mixed signals. You want to be around me but you push me away and now suddenly the only reason you're showing interest in me is because some other guy is? That's kinda messed up.' she sent at him. There was no anger in her tone more like utter confusion.

Rodney rolled his eyes when Connor asked him if he had done anything to offend him. “Damn right you have.” Rodney couldn’t believe he just said that. What had gotten into him? He was saying things that normally Rodney was to mature to say. Or things that he thought about but never had the guts to bring up. But when Connor mentioned Merry’s dad, Rodney couldn’t really say anything. He wanted to, but it would more than likely be against him. That was one part of Merry Connor had that Rodney didn’t. Rodney had yet to meet the infamous Robert Lovelace. It bothered Rodney that Merry didn’t think him important enough to meet her father.
When Connor threatened him, Rodney clenched his fist. Oh how he wished he could punch that face right in, but as much as he wanted to, Merry wouldn’t be pleased in the slightest. And they were in public too which wouldn’t go over well. But when Connor said something about the flowers he had bought for Merry, he was about to say screw the fact that they were in public and screw how Merry felt about him. “Well, I’m sure the flowers are better than that fake ass kiss you just planted on her.” When he spoke, it was almost like he wasn’t the one speaking at all. This was a part of him that he’d never seen before, and it was uncontrollable. These bad comments just seemed to be spewing from his lips without a care in the world. This was when Merry spoke up and told them not to fight. As much as he liked her, it was so hard to listen to her. She didn’t know what he was willing to do at this point to get rid of Connor and keep her to himself. He honestly wasn’t sure either.
Rodney’s eyes moved from Connor to Merry when she thanked him for buying for everyone. When he said he was buying, nowhere in his gesture did he mean Connor as well. So now he was going to have to buy for him too. But before he could even protest, Connor said he’d catch up later and slapped Merry’s butt. Rodney glared at Connor as he walked off. If he’d stuck around, there was no doubt about it. Rodney would have punched him and a fight would have ensued. He didn’t care if it was playful or not. It was uncalled for and just a way for Connor to get under Rodney’s skin even more than he already was.
Once Connor was gone, Rodney and Merry headed out to the cars. Rodney snickered at Merry’s comment. That was it. “Never acted like this before? He’s an ass hole Merry. And you deserve better than what he can give to you.” Rodney stopped walking. This was ridiculous. He’d waited long enough to saw what was just seconds from coming out of his mouth right now. He couldn’t believe how much he wanted to prove to her that he was better than Connor, and he wanted more than this friendship that they shared.

"Keeping the crowd guessing is one of many useful tools." he replied cooly, though he seemed rather disconnected from reality. His mind was swimming as the power in him tried to fight against whatever was dictating his actions, but no matter how it struggled there was no victory. Even Connor would never intentionly threaten to take someones life in front of someone he cared about. Perhaps he didn't care as much as he thought, maybe whatever was happening was about to reveal the lie that he told himself; that this could work. Giving Merry's hand a gentle squeeze, he reassured her that he would not act without physical provocation.
With a smirk of satisfaction, Connor put his hands in his pockets. "Perhaps, but did your "gift" feel as satisfying?" he asked, seeming to not even notice Merry anymore for now. There was only this terrible buzzing sound in his ears, this man that he wanted to smite with every ounce of his being right now. The sound of their blood rushing through their veins was deafening, it threatened to drown out their words as his urge to fight rose rapidly. It almost felt like being sick as a mortal, as if he was going to hurl, or that was how it seemed to those watching him. It was the fighting that triggered it, the rush of blood, the fighting that would ensure that this night ended in a blood bath.
"I apologize. You're quite right, there is no need to fight. I also apologize for the tap, I figured it might go over with you better than it did." he said, shrugging his shoulders. Even she knew the true reason for it, knew that he was lying about why he had done it. He didn't care however, in this moment none of that mattered to him. Connor nodded at her, flashing an apologetic look as he heard her voiceless concerns. He was aware that what he was doing was less than fair, she just wanted a decent night out without his aggression ruining it for her. Part of him fel ashamed, like he should disappear, but the jealousy in him wouldn't allow it. If he left that meant Rodney had a clear shot, like hell!
When they left however, Connor would compel some unlucky straggler into the bathroom, ending their life. He was starving and would not risk putting Merry's life in danger any longer. Though while he fed, he could hear everything that was going on outside in the parking lot, his anger growing. He was especially listening for Merry's response, figuring she couldn't possibly understand the extent of his hearing.

Merry looked between the two men with a look akin to confusion and horror as they began to fight. “Connor its alright. I’m just really hungry and my head is feeling funny. I’m feeling very confused. Both of you did very sweet things please don’t feel like I was trying to compare you. I wasn’t I swear I’m sorry if it seemed like I was.” Her eyes grew wide and she bit her lip as she tried to make sure they didn’t kill each other right there in the event hall. “Please let’s just go to eat. I just need to eat something my blood sugar is making me say stupid inconsiderate things and I’m sorry I don’t mean to.” She exhaled softly and looked at Connor “It’s been a long day for all of us. I think food will help all of us.”
“Rodney, I…Connor hardly says anything. I honestly have never seen him like this. I swear.” Her eyes were wide as they walked, “I don’t know what has gotten into him. He’s normally very stoic with a touch of sarcasm.” She held his arm as they walked and she looked at him, “I’m sorry he said those things to you. He shouldn’t have done that.” She paused by the cars and stopped to lean against her 2012 Bumblebee Camero, “My dad has this week free if you have the time would you like to have dinner at my house? He’s met Connor, and I guess they didn’t click well? I wasn’t there, so I don’t know but I do know my dad wants to meet you too to see who I am around. My family just wants to know who I’m hanging out with. They can be very…outgoing. They’ll probably ask you a 101 questions and such. Maybe you could visit the house for dinner?”
She exhaled softly, “I’m sorry I’m so awkward about all this. I’m just not used to people disagreeing so vehemently. I wanted everyone to see me dance and I didn’t know it would cause problems.” She ducked her head, “I really liked it when you cheered for me. It made me feel important. Sometimes, with my family it’s hard because I get lost in the shuffle. I mean I’m the oldest but I feel like I have to be the responsible one all the time. You remind me that I’m special and that’s the really great thing about you. You make people feel wonderful and it’s such a gift and it makes me so happy to be around you. I just want you to know how special you are. I mean I know there has been a lot of anger tonight but it’s important to me that you know just how much your being here means to me and how much I appreciate that you’ve been there for me in the past. I don’t want you to ever feel like I’m taking you for granted.” She looked into his eyes and smiled, “I love the flowers. I know I said it before but I like roses no matter what Connor said about them.”
She did sense Connor and mentally hugged him, ’My father wished to meet him, Connor and he’s a really nice guy. Please, I know you’re upset right now but try to see past that. He’s a genuinely good guy and he’d be a good friend. Please don’t be mad. I don’t want either of you mad. I truly am touched that you came to see me dance. I didn’t mean for the bad things to happen. Forgive me for bringing you into such a public space. I just…want to show you things and make you smile and not be so sad. I want to lighten your sadness please tell me what I can do to make you smile? I just want to help you. You have shown me so many lovely things I just want to do the same for you. I want you to see the beauty of things when you can.’

Rodney listened as she went on about how she Connor wasn’t normally like this, but Rodney didn’t believe her for a second. I mean yeah, he may be different around her, but tonight he just showed his true colors and Merry was to love struck to see it. At least that is what he thought. He was sure that Merry was so into Connor. And when she asked him if he wanted to join her for dinner where he could meet her father, Rodney was sure it was only because she felt bad that Connor had already met him. He wished he could just end this all and tell her how he felt. But it wasn’t like it mattered. She was so about Connor that she probably wouldn’t even care. All of his anger and frustration kept building, but Merry changed the subject, and what she began talking about really made him rethink the feelings that she may have for him.
The words she spoke went right to his heart. She told him how great he made her feel about herself, and it made Rodney smile. That was why he was the way he was. Because he loved to make people feel good about themselves. Feel the way they should. Merry was perfect in his eyes, and letting her know that was so important to him. And when she raised her head to look into his eyes, he wanted that satisfaction the ass hole Connor had mentioned before. The satisfaction that he would feel when his lips touched the girl of his dreams. Everything fell silent for Rodney. Rodney didn’t even hear her last comment about the flowers. All he could think about was kissing her. Rodney stepped forward without any more hesitation and planted a kiss right on her lips. He couldn’t believe he was actually doing this. A shy wall flower going in for the big kiss.

Infused with the power of his latest victims blood, Connor hoisted the remains of the human husk and made his way out back. Dropping it off in the nearest dumpster, he sighed as he watched himself do the very thing he had always hated. He was becoming more and more like Anne in his eyes, something that bothered him to no end. As hard as he tried to escape her, she kept on pulling him back to her without having to do a damn thing. Inwardly he was starting to believe he was the monster she made him out to be, and being away from Merry now he could think clearly. Though she kept trying to appeal to him, Connor honest despised the bond formed between him and Merry. The ability for her to communicate wordlessly with him further made him feel like an alien in this world.
Was she actually inviting that man over for dinner? There was a loud sound, like steel scraping against stone which filled the night air. Connor hit the dumpster so hard that it was actually sliding away from the building. Where his fist had struck there was a large indent that took it's shape. It was almost impossible to compose himself now as he tried to straighten his suit. Focusing all of his mind on fixing his tie, he made his way around the building towards the parking lot. He could feel this nagging, icy feeling as Merry tried to speak to him over the distance.
Just like in films, Connor happened to round the corner at the "right" time as he watched Rodney step forward and kiss her. None of what Merry was saying to him mattered anymore, the smile that she spoke of putting on his face had vanished and was replaced with absolute rage. He couldn't figure out why however, wasn't he the one who previously said that it was in his best interest to let her go? The idea of doing such a thing was much harder to put into action than he thought as he witnessed this moment. It didn't matter to him much if she kissed him back, he was irate either way.
"Well, this is just golden." Connor said with a sarcastic laugh. Clapping his hands together slowly, the monster that Anne had tried to turn him into was actually taking shape. It was all he could do not to turn the fangs loose on Rodney in this moment, break his neck in half. "I was wondering when you would try to make a move on Merry, as everyone keeps reassuring me Rodney is a nice guy." he said, with a smirk on his face. He felt bother rage and satisfaction, as he now felt even more justified in his actions should he choose to cross this little gap and wipe that dumb face right off of Rodney's skull.
Glancing at Merry, his eyes flashed a hurt expression as if her asking him out to dinner had been taken as a sign of her changing her mind about him. It was clear from the way he stared at her that he had heard every word she said.

Merry felt Rodney kiss her and she reacted with surprise, taking a step back and looking at him wordlessly a moment with a soft smile as she felt Connor approach and saw his reaction, she stiffened and put her hands up towards Connor "Please don't fight. I don't want fighting. I don't want anyone kissing me if they're just doing it to make the other jealous." she looked at Rodney and then back at Connor. She wanted to just run the other way. Her cheeks flushed with shame as she ducked her head, she turned and started to run off. Gently pushing past Connor and not even caring what direction she was going. "Neither one of you even told me how you felt until the other said something and then you get mad at me for trying to not get yelled at. Its not fair or right." she said as she used her dancer's speed to just guide her past them. She didn't care how much they wanted to kill each other. Her heart ached and right now love was the last thing on her mind as her slippers hit the ground with a slapping noise.
I just wanted people to see me dance. I didn't want you to fight. I didn't mean any harm.." Her dance shoes hit a wet spot and she fell hard. Twisting her ankle and scraping her knee on the way down. That was the last straw. She let out all her frustration in a cry that echoed in the alley, curling into a ball and hugging herself. Her costume was ruined and her leg was bleeding from where it hit the asphalt. Her ankle was sore and she just tried to cope with all the frustrations that she was feeling.
When they did arrive she just hugged herself, Her hair tumbled about her in disarray from her fall. "I'm sorry, I never meant things to go so badly." she felt like a horrible person who had been torn in half by both males and her heart was bleeding as a result. "I just wanted to dance." she hiccuped softly as she looked at both of them, "I didn't know. I didn't mean to make anyone jealous. I just wanted to dance and be happy and not be lost in the crowd like at home. I didn't mean to be a horrible person and hurt anyone."

When Merry pulled away, Rodney had a hard time letting it happen. He wanted to kiss her more, and it seemed like all it was was a peck. But he could understand how she must feel. I mean this was a bit ‘out of the blue’ action for Rodney. He still had no idea what was coming over him. Normally this would have never happened. I mean, he’d always wanted to kiss her, but like this? Not what he had in mind. But he did see a small smile on her face which gave Rodney hope. “Merry, I….” But before he could continue his sentence, he heard someone begin clapping, and his eyes moved to where the sound was coming from. Rodney couldn’t believe his eyes. He was almost positive Connor had left the two of them alone. Apparently, he was just waiting around for the right moment to come in and screw up everything.
When Merry said that she didn’t want anyone to kiss her if they were only doing it to make the other jealous, Rodney felt hurt that she would even think that. I mean granted to the average person, it would see that that was the case, but Rodney didn’t even go in to kiss her until Connor was out of the picture, so he hoped she would notice that. But before Rodney could even explain himself, she was already walking away a bit frustrated at the two of them. “Merry, come on don’t….” and then bam, she toppled over into a puddle of water scraping her knee and destroying her beautiful dress. Rodney quickly ran over to her. “Merry!” He knelt down next to her, and he knew that Connor was probably going to be right there with him once she fell.
When Merry started apologizing, it bothered him that she was even put into this position in the first place. If Connor hadn’t been such a creeper and been watching their every move, none of this would have happened. “This isn’t your fault at all Merry. SOME people just don’t know how to be mature about a situation,” Rodney said glaring up at Connor. He knew he was being a complete hypocrite, and he knew he was starting shit yet again, but it was like no matter what was going on, Rodney couldn’t stop some of his thoughts. And with his thoughts, just came constant spewing of comments that were uncalled for. What was wrong with him! This was not him at all, and he knew that, but it was almost like something else was controlling his emotions. He would have stopped the moment he saw that he was upsetting Merry. Hell, he wouldn't have even started. Something was definitely going on here.
