STRENGTHS

☼ Sense intent- Aylen is able to tell if someone is generally a good or bad person, or even if they’re unsure about whether or not they’ll be good or bad at any given time.
☼ Seeing Aura’s- Aylen is able to see auras around people. Everyone has their own special color, mixed with other colors that are usually marks of their past experiences.
☼ Sense Lying- Like sensing intent, Aylen is able to sense when someone is lying.
☼ Sensing the future- Aylen’s not good in this area, but because she can sense a bit of a person’s intent, and see their aura, she’s able to sense a bit of what their future might hold for them. Because of this, she took a psychic job at Charms N Thangs, though mostly just because it amused her to do so.
☼ Being Mysterious- Because she acts mysterious whether or not she’s playing psychic for Charms N Thangs, it’s hard for many people to see that she’s really vulnerable when she’s trying to focus all of her psychic senses on only one person.

☼ Sensing Emotions- Aylen is able to sense anyone’s emotions at any given time. While some people might think this is cool, it’s not for Aylen. For her, if she’s stuck in a crowd and can’t filter the intensity of all of the emotions, she ends up either passed out, or in convulsions. While she is good at filtering emotions so they won’t affect her, she’s had problems from time to time when someone with a really strong emotion brush up against her in a crowd, which will shatter her filter and overload her mind with too many emotions at once.
☼ Blindness- Aylen doesn’t usually see this as a weakness, but she knows it is. She can see a persons’ aura, and can tell if someone is trying to sneak up on her to mug her or whatnot, but Aylen can only see living things, because only living things have an aura to trigger her ability. She’s not able to see cars, and a person in a car has an aura that’s harder to notice until the car is almost on top of her. Because of this, Aylen has a special needs dog that she lets lead her around when she’s walking around the streets.
☼ Sensing Intent- If Aylen gets too close to someone who is truly evil, it makes her feel physically ill. She’s not able to stay around them for long without getting sick. Also, if a person is good enough at hiding just what they are from everyone else, Aylen has a harder time at reading them then she would others. So her sensing someone’s intent isn’t always entirely reliable.
☼ Insecure- Aylen hides much behind her mask of being mysterious and aloof. Most of it are her insecurities. No one really knows the real Aylen, soft and sensitive, and empathetic in her own right. She wants nothing more than to help people, but she’s scared to let anyone in to wound her again.
☼ Conflicted- Aylen is conflicted when it comes to the Trinity Brothers. She isn’t sure what to make of them, and doesn’t know what to do about it. She knows if she tells them who she is, they’ll want to use her. She’s afraid to let anyone know just what she can do, though she knows that working as Charms N Thangs pet psychic doesn’t give much away, she still worries a bit about it from time to time. She's also afraid that not even her bodyguards, Charles and Samuel who are also witches, won't be able to keep her safe. She's worried about their safety as well.

☼ Gentle Emotions- Anything strong sends her into convulsions, so soft ones like love, happiness, ect. makes her feel better when she’s edging into overload.

☼ Quiet places- Since most people in quiet places (library, park, ect) go there to relax, Aylen doesn’t feel like she’s being smothered by emotions.
☼ Parks- Because plants are technically living things, Aylen is able to see their auras. However, they’re usually just a mixture of whatever color the plant might be, and it’s extremely soothing for her to just sit in the park to relax. (For example, if she sees a rose, she’ll see a mixture of the red rose petals, and the green stem, almost like she can see the flower itself, just without definition.)
☼ Beautiful Auras- A lot of people have beautiful auras, and since she’s technically blind, Aylen is able to stare at a person with a beautiful aura without them feeling too uncomfortable.

☼ Strong Emotions- Strong emotions, like anger, sadness ect. are the ones that bother Aylen the most. If she’s near someone with strong emotions, she tends to try to find someone with softer ones to stick near to until the other person is gone.
☼ Caffeine- She’s usually more of a morning person than most, so drinking anything with a lot of caffeine usually just makes her jittery and makes it harder for her to control her filter on everyone’s emotions.
☼ Her vulnerabilities- She’s more vulnerable than she’d like most people to think, and it frustrates her. She hides it easily enough, but it gets harder to when people start getting to know her better.
☼ Death- Even cutting flowers makes her sad, since in a way they die and she isn’t able to see their auras anymore. She likes living plants, so if someone wanted to get her a flower, they’d have to get her a whole plant.
☼ Evil- Anything with evil intent makes her ill, so she greatly dislikes it.

Aylen’s mother was a kind woman, but she was also very naïve. Before she became pregnant with Aylen, she had moved in with a man she had met at college in New York. She fell in love with him, and understood that she was just stupid when the man she loved would hit her, understood that she was just a foolish girl who didn’t know better. Everything changed, though, when Christiana realized she was pregnant. She began to realize everything that her lover said was a lie, and began to save up money to escape with. When she started to show, though, she had to take what she’d saved and run. Christiana had little money, and no family or friends. She was on her own, and pregnant.
Christiana never once thought about having an abortion. She loved the child she carried, despite who the father was. She moved to Los Angeles, because it was as far from New York as she could get. She fell in love with the city, and even found a kind man to help her raise the child. They were married only a few months after they met, and by that point, Christiana was almost nine months along in her pregnancy. The man, Kyle, was kind and sweet, even to Aylen who wasn’t his own.
Christiana didn’t know that Kyle was also a Witch. When Aylen was born, and the doctors told them of the girls blindness, Christiana was distraught. Kyle, though, knew someone that could help. He knew of a woman, also a witch, that could help with the blindness. He told Christiana of this, told her that it might not work quite the way she wanted it to, but Christiana didn’t care. She wanted her daughter to be able to see, and jumped at the chance to get the child’s vision back. She soon realized she had been much too hasty.
Growing up, Aylen was always oddly mysterious, but she was also open and loving to her parents and to everyone else. She used to try to help anyone she sensed was sad or upset, even though the strong emotions made her feel ill. She was a happy child, and learned quickly to cope with her strange ability. Aylen, ever since she was given this ability as a baby, has been able to see a person’s aura just by looking at them. Not many people were ever able to lie to her, because she would know when they did, and she would tell them so. She also could sense a person’s emotions, and would try and help them however she could. She was a strange girl, but her mother always thought of her as the perfect child.
Going through school, Aylen got teased a lot. She never told anyone at school about her abilities, and just let them think she was blind. She refused to go to a special needs school, despite what anyone told her to do. The one time her parents had gotten her there, she refused to do anything until the school informed her parents they couldn’t help their daughter.
Aylen didn’t really care about getting teased much. She just ignored them, and let them say what they would. Soon, the teasing stopped, and Aylen was content to just be alone.
Her solitude lasted up until her senior year of high school, when one of the more popular boys came up to her and asked her to prom. She had liked him very much, mostly because of his beautiful aura. This boy would be the first person that ever fooled Aylen into believing that everyone was good.
She went to prom with him, and the two were very close, or so Aylen thought. She liked him very much, though when he said he wanted to go all the way, she didn’t. She said she wasn’t ready for that type of commitment yet, and he got angry. It was then that Aylen realized that this kind, gentle boy had been hiding his true nature the whole four months they’d been dating. Despite her refusals, he took what he wanted from her, then left her alone, stranded in the park with her clothing torn and her heart broken, and her world shattered. She stopped being a naïve child then, and started to see that she hadn’t been focused enough on how people could really be.
Ever since then, Aylen has remained closed off to everyone. She has few friends, and hasn’t dated since the last boy that had shattered her peaceful world. She acts mysterious and aloof from everyone just so she doesn’t have to show them just she hides under the surface.
Now that Aylen is living out on her own, her mother and father, now rich thanks to Kyle being an amazing lawyer, hired two chauffeur/body guards for Aylen, so she is fairly well protected. The two are brothers, Samuel and Charles, and both are protective of Aylen though not because they’re paid to be. They both genuinely like her, even though Aylen named her new seeing-eye dog after Charles when he irritated her. Both of them are also witches.

I want her to slowly start to open up to someone, maybe all of the Trinity Bros. I could see her being a valuable asset to either side, so maybe she has to turn to the Trinity Bros for protection at some point during the rp.

Aylen smiled as she sat in the park, the shifting colors of the plants soothing and comforting her frazzled nerves. She had just come back from a long day of reading desperate women at Charms N Thangs. Apparently, someone had liked her enough to spread it out to all her desperate-for-a-man friends. She hated people like that. It was easy enough to sense what kind of man they wanted, even if they didn’t know it. It was just up to Aylen to tell them, and in a way that wouldn’t utterly piss them off. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes, sighing. “I hate women…” She muttered to herself as she rubbed her temples to soothe away the last of her headache. “I really, really hate women…” Not that she really liked a lot of people anyway.
Aylen sat up, turning to stare when she sensed someone walking close. The aura was a shifting mass of reds and blacks, and her stomach dropped to her feet. She felt herself paling, but she looked down at her Seeing-Eye dog and ruffled his warm fur. He licked her hand, and the dogs simple pleasure calmed her, where the strange man’s aura had frightened her. Despite everything, Aylen had never truly felt evil before, but this man that had walked past… He had frightened her deeply. She hid it well, using her faithful companion to get rid of the effects of that sense of evil, but she still felt a lingering fear even as the man had walked past, leaving her alone again in the park. “Let’s go, Charles,” She said to the dog. “We need to get out of here.”
