Gabriel spent most of his time in various clubs. They tended to be key locations of seduction, impulse, and bad decisions. Tonight however was special. He was given a challenge, one he couldn't refuse, one he had accept out of pride, arrogance, and a wager he cherished in the closest thing to a friend one might find themselves being to Gabriel. His challenger was a vampire, he met the vampire seventy years ago and took him under his wing at first because he needed to use to vampire for a task that needed to be completed, a suicidal task. But to Gabriels surprise the vampire survived. After this Gabriel let the vampire hang out with him and though he wasn't particularly fond of him the vampire began to amuse Gabriel and through either luck or a more powerful anomaly Gabriel began to like the vamp. For fifty years the vampire tracked Gabriel down and they competed in an annual competition. Forty Eight hours, no paying for, no blackmailing, and no powers. Who ever scores the most women wins. Gabriel always won save for one year he allowed the vampire to win mostly out of laziness. But the last year something unexpected happened, Gabriel legitimately lost. Since then Gabriel has been convinced he was cheated and took extra measures in ensuring the vampire be monitored the whole time better than before. The vampire had spys watching Gabriel as well, most Gabriel could spot, but some alluded even him. The competition had already begun, they had went their seperat ways and would meet in two days and pool their surveillance, witnesses, and claim their scores then compare accordingly. Gabriel was giving the vamp a head start as he traditionally did. Gabriel was wearing a more expensive and sophisticated attire than he normally did. Generally speaking he usually tried to wear as little cloths as possible but sometimes he would pull the whole bad boy persona. Tonight was a different case, he had to be sharp, he wouldn't lose again. He had some women chosen but he wasn't going to rush into things, he still had time. He generally gave a twelve hour head start but this time he decided his buddy only gets ten and since they started it had already been 5 hours. Gabriel sat at the bar and waited. He generally had no reason to drink other than the fact that no women feels secure drinking and getting bought drinks from a guy that won't drink himself. Sends for a bad message. Gabriel didn't have much taste for beer but a rum and coke or jack and coke was a party waiting to be had. Gabriel could see all the connections between the people in the club. The lustful intent and physical attractions. It fed him and yearned to be toyed with. Staring at a young couple in the corner Gabriel grinned devilishly. As a waitress cam over to them with their drinks Gabriel may or may not have influence the waitress to drop her reiciept binder in the mans lap, then reach and grab it simultaneously, and more importantly noticeable feeling the man up. Also Gabriel might deny he had anything to do with the man about to advance on the waitress right before his girlfriend slapped him and started arguing with the waitress. Gabe left it at that, he watch amusingly at his troublesome handy work with great admiration.

Walking into the club, he sighed. This was almost like his workout for the night. He would come here and have a few drinks, no alcoholic of course, enjoy the music and watch the other people enjoying themselves, then he would go out into one of the alleys and hopefully find some vampires trying to feed off of someone. Now that was usually the most fun part of the night, believe it or not. However he had been learning to control his senses more fluently, even inside the club with the flashing lights and loud music. It had got him thinking...If he had such powerful senses, wouldn't he be able to sense something, even inside such a crazy place? He knew it was merely an experiment, but it could be a bit of fun. If he didn't change up his workout, it would become boring and he wouldn't find himself motivated to do it anymore. Therefore dead people= bad.
Who would've thought, that he of all people would be out here fighting and saving lives. Now he really was like spiderman! Expect better looking and without the whole web shooting thing. He was always the type to risk his life for an innocent, even one he didn't know, but getting involved with vampires, demons and killer psycho's was just a whole new dymanic for him which he had oddly adopted into his mindset and nightly activities. He probably should be doing this with his brothers, not only for bonding reasons, but because he could end up in a situation where he needs one of his big brothers to save his behind from a nasty vampire. Maybe he should have even invited Eli, why he didn't, he wasn't too sure. There were just some things he enjoyed doing by himself. He still felt bad for what had happened to Eli, despite the other man embracing it, and therefore didn't want to jump into the whole Batman & Robin scenario, because he was still enjoying being spiderman! Wow, didn't he read too many comics as a child...
He purchased a coke at the bar, before moving in more and resting his drink and forearms on a bench above the dancefloor, as he looked down, admiring all of the flashing lights. For some reason, the loud music and the lights calmed him and just made him feel relaxed. Some people get calm and relaxed from herbal tea, Axel gets relaxed from flashly lights and head banging music. At least he wasn't boring.
He turned as he heard a roukus occuring not too far behind him. He saw a woman fighting with her boyfriend and a waitress looking stunned and remorseful. What the? Only in La Fever, he thought to himself. These things happen from time to time, he had been involved in one of these roukuses at one point, strangely enough. And he was sure more would come, if vampires decided to continue coming here and seeking out innocents to feed on. He saw a man nearby, rather attractive, which made him shiver inside softly, before he turned back to the dancefloor, confused at what had just happened.
It wasn't long before another one of those 'roukuses' happened, though a less noticeable one. He saw a woman on the lower level, chatting up a guy and he just felt something odd about her. Not only for the dark clothes and gothic look, but because she was the one making the first move, it was usually the other way around in a place like this. He advanced, realizing it was time to get some ass kicking under way, and he quickly caught up to her, before losing her in the crowds, but noticed the alley door close. He quickly followed behind. When he walked out, he walked out slowly and suspiciously. It did seem quiet, until he heard a yell from a man. He bolted over to where the noise was coming from, finally seeing the woman pinning the man against the wall behind a large dumpster. He ran over, throwing the woman off of the man. She lunged at him, but he dodged, kicking her into the wall, before lunging his wrist toward her and sending a sharp stake through her heart, watching her turn to dust. He eyed the scared man now. "Call me spiderman...And go home, forgetting this ever happened." He watched as the man ran down the street, still obviously in fear. One good deed done for the night, it seemed.

Gabriel had never seen such routine and unchanging atmosphere before. He figured even with his help in a place like this not much would change for the better. Or at least what Gabriel viewed as better. It was in this moment Gabriel found what he was looking for. A young man walked in, teenager, young adult at most. The younger ones were always the best choice for what he had in mind. Gabriel watched as the kid observing something. He glanced to the general direction and picked it up immediately. It seemed a vampire was toying around with a mortal, how lovely, Gabriel didn't mind such things but this guy noticing such things first off and reacting to stop it meant one very clear thing, this was going to be much more entertaining than he originally thought. Gabriel followed the situation pausing only for a moment then standing in the doorway watching just as the vampire was staked and the boy insisted the terrified man go home. Gabriel had a devilish smile on his face clearly amused with perhaps a hint that he felt impressed with the boy. Gabriels ocean blue eyes looked over the young man as he dramatically gave a slow clap in admiration for the good job done. "Bravo, bravo, bravo. Impressive for such a young man. I have seen vampire tear the greatest of warriors apart with their bare hands before they even had time to see what was going on much less do anything to stop it. I remember this one time back in the civil war.....no, no, I won't do that again, no reminiscing of the past we don't have time. Oh how rude of me." Gabriel said as he gracefully made his way over to the young man as if he shouldn't be taken as a threat nor had any fear of the young man harming him. He held out a hand "Names Gabriel, Gabriel Hart. The pleasures all yours I assure you as I have dubbed you a very fine title this evening, one that shouldn't be taken lightly......" The pause was purposefully drawn out. With a friendly grin and over confident attitude Gabriel finally spat it out "My wingman!" Gabriels tone was as if the title was something all men would die to obtain. Greater than any king or president, celebrity or rock star.
Gabriel decided it was best not to go arrogantly explaining the honor of the situation. The young man would ask his own questions if he had any and Gabriel was more than happy to answer them. But first Gabriel wanted to clear out some details "Now don't fret, this night isn't just about me you understand. It is about us. I am after all your wingman too and my friend, you mine as well cancel any plans you have for the rest of the night because I can promise your going to go home with a beautiful.....no, if you want, many beautiful women. I know what you might be thinking but don't worry I promise none of them are escorts or strippers or anything crazy like that. In fact it is really this simple. You pick, I tell you what we are going to do, and just like that we make our move while you hope for the best and I make it happen. So when did you want to start, we have time perhaps a couple drinks first loosen up, or are you one of those guys who needs a game plan for everything." As usual Gabriel was now talking as if the young man had already agreed to everything. It was a flaw Gabriel refused to recognize, the flaw that he never accepted or understood anyone telling him no, he didn't see why anyone would want to. After all he offered so much for them to gain. But none the less Gabriel was excited, he thought this was going to be an average day, and on the day of days for picking up women and a lot more to lose, adding all this, this new friend. It amplified things ten fold which was a pleasant surprise. Gabriel awaited a response and an answer and supposed questions one might have in the situation. Gabriel was never one for formalities or clarity of specific details unless the situation really dictated so but in this case he couldn't let this opportunity just walk on past him without doing anything about it.

He watched as the man ran off down the alley, before turning to hear loud clapping. He saw a man, the man he had remembered seeing inside the club when the altercation with the couple and the waitress happened. Coincidence? He knew of vampires, and therefore Axel automatically assumed that this man was one, himself. The confidence, everything about him just seemed to ooze creature of the night. Oh, and he was talking about the civil war. Not from a historical context, but from a personal one! And luckily he stopped himself from going on about the civil war, Axel wasn't much of a history person and it would just make him more inclined to shove a stake through this guy's heart.
But as he watched the man speak, something about the man just seemed like it was impossible for him to be a vampire. His charm, charisma, everything. He knew vampires were masters of deception, but there was something about this guy that he felt like he could trust. Introducing himself and then putting his hand out to shake, Axel shared at the hand for a moment before looking up. "If you think I'm going to shake the hand of a vampire, your either completely stupid, or...Well there isn't any or. Completely stupid."[/color[, almost instinctively blurting out his name. "Axel Evans." Maybe the name would scare off the man or something. He still tried hard to not underestimate this other man. If this man really was from around the Civil War times, he would be extremely dangerous due to his experience.
The man spoke of them being wingmen for eachother, and having drinks together and picking up ladies. "As awesome as it sounds to be the wingman of a complete stranger, I'm taken and would like to keep it that way." He couldn't deny that there were untapped urges which were fighting to the surface so strongly like he had never experienced before. Why was he suddenly feeling so...Strange? He really couldn't work this man out, his intentions or what exactly he was doing. Why couldn't the man just fight, why did he have to begin talking to Axel? If he was trying to catch him off guard, it was definantly working because it intrigued, yet confused Axel at the same time.
He got ready to get into fighting mode, it would really make things easier to just fight this man, for him to be a vampire. "Are you going to continue talking, or are we going to fight? While sleeping around with ladies might get your rocks off, I get my rocks off by beating people up. More particularily, evil people" He just hoped he knew what he was getting himself into, it was the talkative types he had to watch out for. "Who are you?" He finally asked. This man was just so mysterious, yet it made Axel so curious at the same time.

Gabriel put his hand down as the young man wrongly accused him of one being a vampire, two his intentions towards him, and third trying to fight him. This was more than Gabriel expected for certain and with a great burst of laughter Gabriel almost keeled over clutching his stomach then slowly regained his composure. Gabriel had an expression of approval. As if Axel was auditioning for number one comedian and won Gabriels vote and interest. He shook his head and shook a finger at Axel "You! You are something else. I sometimes forget exactly how amusing your kind can be." Gabriel finally gave a deep sigh and completely retained his barrings. "Now that the jokes are done and over with lets talk about our plan of attack inside. I think it would be best if we play the hero card a bit more since you are into that sort of thing. I'll confront the women first and will say something to offend her then you will arrive at the scene and step in getting me to leave and defending the girl which will get her to open up to you at least enough for a conversation starter. I will let you take it from there. The next one we wi-......" Gabriel looked over Axel who hadn't changed from his state which Gabriel thought was a joke.
This made Gabriel realize that Axel wasn't joking around at all. But Gabriel didn't change his attitude at all, in fact his smirk grew into a devilish grin. "Axel you can relax, I assure you if I wanted you to be harmed you would be in a state in which death would actually be a welcoming gift and you would certainly have no idea I was responsible. Second, take a good look at me. When was the last time you saw a Vampire go out in the sun and get an amazing tan like this? Now normally I would be insulted for having been accused of being such a lowly creature like a vampire but you have been quite amusing this evening so I will let it slide. The fact that you would even consider trying to fight me is entertaining in itself. But you don't have to try and keep humoring me Axel, I already approve of you, no need to continue with trying to impress me." Leave it to Gabriel to flip any and all situations to be about him. Of course he would make it look or even really assume Axels intentions were meant to gain Gabriels attention, approval, or affection. It always had to be about him anyways because why would anyone possibly want it any different?
Gabriel looked Axel over one more time with his alluring gaze assessing the him from head to tow and his confrontational demeanor. Gabriels grin couldn't fade even in the open challenge to fight. Gabriel knew Axel wasn't your average human and he still wasn't giving up on his chosen wing man either. "I am sure your gal will have no issues helping a friend seek a passionate lover for his own happiness since you already have yours. And no, I am afraid I won't be fighting you but you are more than welcome to try and fight me though I warn you I make a much better friend than enemy. And ease up on the accusations will you, first vampire, now I am automatically evil? I am not evil Axel, in fact I am far from it. I spend my life bringing people together, building passionate relationships, and helping people fulfill their greatest desires. I am thee match maker, I make Aphrodite seem amateur, and am everything a cupid wishes it could be. Allow yourself to have the honor of meeting the great spirit of desire." Gabriel took a bow then stood back up ready for his own questions. "And since we are now sharing and I have shared who I was tell me more about you. A normal human doesn't walk inside a club and pick out a vampire and kill it then challenge what he believes is a second vampire without having a trick or more up his sleeve. So whats so special about you Axel Evans?"
Gabriel crossed his arms and started to encircle Axel, his seductive eyes seemingly piercing through the young man as a sinister twinkle in Gabriels eyes sparkled. "You know it has occurred to me that I came out here first and for most to make sure you didn't get yourself kill, not that I would have mentioned it if you didn't make this dramatic scene, second to offer you a privileged many men have actually died to try to obtain...I know I think its a silly thing to die for too but what can I say, I am that good. And third came practically barring a friendship invitation in arms and what do I get? Not even a simple rejection, no, I get insulted, disrespected, and threatened. The way I see it you owe me some sort of apology. Tell you what I will call us even if you help me tonight and will even promise you won't have to get intimately involved with any women noting your devotion to your girlfriend or I be forced to hold this grudge against you and lets just say for more than three centuries I have yet to found a man living very long that I had a grudge with. Now now, before you act hasty I never said I did anything" Gabriel assured Axel with a innocent expression on his face. "Just stating a fact, people I hold grudges against, first lose their loved ones, then friends, sometimes mere associates, then they die....it really is tragic but then again it is a curse I have to bare." Gabriel had a pout sad look on his face which was purposely exaggerated displaying sarcasm in his last statement. "Well Axel, what do you say?"

He had never really thought of his "kind" as amusing, though apparently this guy thought he was amusing. Was he supposed to take that as a compliment or an insult? And before he was even able to comment on the matter, the man had already begun speaking again, acting as if nothing had ever happened and that they were buddies and already agreeing to his stupid wingman adventure. He chuckled softly at the man's comment. "So I get to be the hero, huh? Does it involve me staking you, as well? Because If so, I'm up for that act." He was still trying to work this guy out, he had no idea what benefit he was going to get from this. Why did he need a wingman, he was confident this man would have no trouble getting the ladies, especially in a place like this. It seemed a bit too suspicious for his liking, hopefully this man's intentions would become clear soon.
He grinned at the other man softly as he begun another tirade. "Are you threatening me, now? Because I've never heard them before..." But as the man continued, he realized that perhaps he really wasn't a vampire. It was impossible for a vampire to get a tan like that, let alone even have exposure to the sun, right? And although his suspicions hinted at the other man being a vampire, there was something about him which screamed something completely different. But what? "Okay, not vampire. Then what? Banshee? Witch? Unicorn? Am I getting close?" He was teasing, sure, but if this man wasn't going to fight him anytime soon, he might as well verbally assault this man. He didn't exactly seem like he was the type to go out of his way to help people, or anything. He seemed like someone who could easily be swinging more on the 'evil' side than good, at least thats what he thought.
His mouth opened slightly as he stared blankly at the man, who had completely turned this around on him, making it appear like Axel was trying to win this other man's favour? Was he kidding?! Maybe he wasn't harsh at the very slightest when he referred to this man as stupid, because he was doing no such thing. "Impress you? Huh? Why in the heck would I need to impress you? You've done nothing to give me any reason to even trust you, let alone impress you." Now this was becoming more annoying. It would have been so much easier for the man just to morph fangs and attack him, then he could stake the man and get on with his night, like saving people. But while innocent lives could be at stake, this man was continually annoying him. Possibly distracting him, it could be his grand plan, or something? He seemed to know a little too much for Axel's liking.
"Again, with the question of why would I want to help you find someone? How do I even know you won't just kill them, or something?" He raised his eyebrow as the man spoke of being far from evil and bringing people together. Matchmaker?! He had never encountered, let alone even heard of such a thing in the supernatural community. Before he could redicule this man further, he begun asking questions about Axel himself. He smirked softly. "Maybe you don't know as much as you think about humans after all, huh? If I had any tricks up my sleeve, I'm definantly not going to share them with you." He couldn't even trust that everything this man was saying was a complete ploy against him, and that this man knew a lot more than he was letting on.
As the man circled him, he watched intently, standing in the same spot, ready to get his guard up at any given moment. "Aren't you just the hero, then. Looking out for me. Maybe you should be the hero in the little act of yours, since your apparently so considerate of others..." Did this man have tickets on himself, or what? And not just normal tickets, but the whole deal-fine seating, bottle of champaigne, the lot! This guy just oozed charisma, non stop! Although it was annoying, there was something about this man which intrigued him. "Your not getting any apology from me. If anything, you should be apologising to me. You expect me to think otherwise about a mysterious man who pops up in an alley after I slay a vampire? Nothing suspicious there. And enough with the girlfriend talk already, I have a boyfriend." He was at the stage of really not caring what this man thought, or said for that matter. He raised his eyebrow at the man again as he subtly threatened him. "So they just 'mysteriously' die? Bit of a coincidence, huh? I say your crazy if you think I would want to take part in your little game, which could easily be a trap for all I know. If your not going to fight, then I'm going to go and find someone that will. You know, innocents in danger...That kind of thing which you don't seem to care much about." He walked past the man and went back inside the club, going over to the bar to get another drink. He had forgotten that when he spotted the vampire earlier he had ignored his drink. Pity there was no alcohol, because he really did need some right now.

Gabriel took the blunt remarks without much regard. Things were not going the way he planned and this young man was far too confident for his own good. Coming from Gabriel who was probably the most egotistical man in the club and maybe even the city itself it was a bit funny for him to think such a thing but this meant only one thing. Gabriels enjoyable game he had planned for him and Axel would have to be changed, modified, and adjusted to where it would most likely be just Gabriel having any fun and Axel struggling to get a grip of his soon spinning out of control world. Gabriel was already at the bar drinking a rum and coke right next to where Axels drink was. He figured Axel might find it odd that Gabriel ended up in front of him without actually passing him but the truth was Gabriel never actually left the bar. The games had already begun and the pieces already picked out the only thing that needed to be established was the rules Gabriel would play by and it was at this time Gabriel was sure of what he needed to do in order to enjoy himself this evening. Gabriel turned to Axel as he approached the bar. Gabriel had a amused smile on his face as if everything had actually gone his way and he hadn't been insulted and had his chosen guest that night turn his back on him, but most importantly Gabriel never accepted the fact that Axel had said no and even specified that he wouldn't play his games. Unfortunately things didn't ever work like that in Gabriels world and as far as Gabriel was concerned everyone lived in his world.
"I was beginning to wonder who left their drink here. Its best you order a new one, who knows if anyone messed with it or not." With a charming smile and a sweet voice Gabriel asked the bar tender if she could get the young man another soda, the same thing he was drinking before on his tab. He then gave her a wink and she smiled at him as if she had been struck by cupids arrow by Gabriels flirtatiousness attention and began getting the new drink. "I'm Gabriel, Gabriel Hart. You must be Axel Evans. I have heard allot about you ya know. Word travels fast among my people, my kind all looks alike, I wouldn't start questioning things, its more complicated than you think. So word is you have a boyfriend eh? It is strange you know because I could have sworn I saw someone of his description in here with another man. I hope I am mistaken, after all I don't actually know what he looks like or who he is, just what the traveling word tells me." Gabriel pointed over to a table where a man and a women were making out. Gabriels influence already began engulfing the scene. If there was even the slightest doubt or curiosity that what Gabriel was telling Axel was true or could happen, of his own creation, Axel would see exactly what he feared. His beloved boyfriend making out with another man. Gabriel reinforced his own innocence as if he had no sides or any hand in this. "That's not him right? I mean first off wouldn't he tell you he was going out if he thought you might want to tag along? And second I think he looked over to you a couple times, if it was him he would come over and greet you right?"
The man was very attractive, an actor mostly doing low budget film stand ins and had done a t-shirt commercial. Very handsome. The man was fairly large, looked like one of those guys who lived in the gym their whole lives and took ridiculous amounts of supplements. About six ft one, big burly arms, large chest, the whole nine yards. Picking a fight or starting a scene with a guy like this would not be a very good idea. The other man laughed as the man depicting Axels boyfriend nuzzled at his neck for a second. They appeared to be having such a great time. Gabriel sighed and looked away from the scene like he either didn't want to see the truth or believe he was right or like he didn't wanna see Axels reaction. "There aren't many of my kind you know, but what we do, what we live for, it isn't this. We bring people together, not hurt them." Gabriel said, not completely lying as he did bring people together, just in a sense of a more literal interpretation. "I have had my heart broken a couple times before. There isn't a worse kind of pain." Gabriel took another sip of his rum and coke and looked over to the couple who he had manipulated into fighting. Things were a bit more settled and the two were back in each others arm flirting and carrying about like the whole thing didn't even happen. Gabriel grinned. He knew they were closer than they were before because of what happened, how they almost lost eachother, made fools of themselves, and realized they did in fact regret it, they did in fact truly care. Gabriel wasn't a romantic in that sense, and he certainly had no respect for relationships but he had a cupid like talent to him from time to time.
