Marina was going on her first date with Trenton. She'd spoken with Zach and he'd gone to leave as she and Trenton headed out on their date. She was wearing a silver cross he'd given her and was in a generally good mood as she headed out. Trenton had given her some distraction from her life and helped her remember she had a right to a private life.
Then the world began to spin, her head buzzing as she gripped Trenton's arm to keep from falling over. "Trenton, do you feel that? The world just got..." she blinked and felt the rush of the world, "Very shiny." she tried to shake her head clear, "I think I need to sit down somewhere the world is spinning and everything feels sooo...nice." she giggled like she'd had a few glasses before she got there and she didn't smell like booze at all. "Why is everyone so happy? And fucking like bunnies?" she babbled. "Can we get out of the dorm? Its about to get very busy in the building." She leaned against him slightly as she hummed to herself, "It feels nice. The city is a wonderful place don't you think? Its like bubbles of love began bouncing through the air."

Trenton had been heading out with Marina when she suddenly grabbed onto him. "Are you okay?" he asked in concern. To his surprise, she started babbling about the world being shiny and spinning. To add to that, he could suddenly smell various scents intertwining at the same time. What in the world is going on? he thought to himself. They needed to get out of here...quickly...
Trenton quickened his pace, though he remembered to stay slow enough to allow Marina to keep up with him. "Yes, I think you do need to sit down," he agreed as she giggled. But where could they sit? If I did not know any better, I would surmise that she is intoxicated, he thought to himself. But he did know better. He looked at her in surprise and concern when she asked why everyone was so happy and going at it like bunnies. "That is what you are sensing?" he queried. Oh, my, That would explain why the scents have suddenly intermingled he thought to himself. He needed to get Marina away from the campus before all of the emotions overwhelmed her. Almost as if she had read his mind, she asked if they could leave. "Of course, Bella. Right away," he agreed and he once more hurried his pace. As he did so, he could hear Mari talking about the city being a wonderful place like bubbles of love bouncing through the air. Oh, dear. Let's see now, where can I take her that will be quiet? he mused. He had been planning to take her to a nice little restuarant, but given the fact that she had just started sensing varioius degrees of romantic encounters, he was not sure taking her to a restaurant would be a good idea. However, the only place that he could think of that would be devoid of all the emotions she was feeling was a cemetery and he positive that was not a good location for a date. "We must get you away from the emotions coursing through the city, but the only location I can think of is rather un-conducive for a romantic evening. Do you have a place you desire to go to?" he asked.

She leaned on him for support a bit when he moved her out of the dorm area, she managed to keep up, barely. "I think the forest would be good. There won't be anyone there. It won't confuse me so much." she admitted as she looked up at him, "You could build a fire. We get some sandwiches and marshmallows and have a sort of picnic?" she suggested as she looked up at him.
"The sooner we get there the better. I don't want to do anything because the whole city is doing it. If I want to kiss someone it will be because I want to do it." It was a testament of how little she knew that people were acting like rabbits and she just wanted to kiss. Her thoughts were a tangle as she looked at him. "It will be quiet in the forest if nothing else. Maybe we could get a tent and I could stay out there for tonight? Its going to be way too busy at my dad's place. He's going to act like a drunken sailor on shore leave with a full paycheck and a brothel next door."
She looked at Trenton hopefully, "I'm not sure what to do during daylight hours though. I mean you can't camp out like me. But maybe it will be easier for folks during the day? Assuming they don't call in sick or something."

Realizing that Marina was still having trouble keeping up with him, Trenton slowed his gait even more. He nodded in agreement when she suggested the forest stating that not a lot of people would be there and it wouldn't be as confusing for her, also stating that they could get sandwiches and marshmellows and have a picnic. "I understand completely," he assured. Whatever emotions are running rampant, it makes sense that she would feel them and want to avoid them, he thought to himself.
Marina went on to say that the sooner they got to the forest, the better because she wouldn't be influenced by all the emotions and that if she kissed someone, it would be because she wanted to not because she was being influenced by other emotions and/or whatever was cusing the emotions in the first place and that it'd at leasdt be quiet, and added something about pitching a tent and staying there the night since her father was likely to be extremely busy. "Yes, I can see how his powers would go into overdrive," Trenton mused.
Then she brought up the fact that he wouldn't be able to stay with her because of the sun and that maybe it would be easier for people the next day, providing that they didn't call in sick. "I will be able to smell the sun long before it rises, there is no need to worry about that," he assured. "Come. Let us go to the woods," he stated and continued off.

Mari walked with him and sighed softly. It was going to take them forever at this rate. She felt flushed and giddy and not quite herself but it did seem like but a moment before they were out of the university corner store with sandwiches, the makings for smores and drinks. She passed the bags over to Trenton and exhaled before looking at him, "If I hold onto the groceries could you scoop me up and run us over to the forest? I think if I have to walk all the way there I'm probably not gonna make it. Even without the world being Topsy-tervy I can't walk that far on my own."
She didn't drive and didn't know if a vampire even needed a car, "Dad uses any excuse for his powers to go into overdrive and he doesn't leave bodies to trace. She admitted as she looked at him and sighed, "So how are you feeling, Trent? Are you feeling okay? No oddness happening?" she asked as she looked at him. She wanted to hug him and kiss him and it kind of depressed her because she couldn't tell if it was her or the spell. She suspected a bit of both and decided that once she got into the forest things would ease off some.

They had only been walking a few more minutes when Marina asked Trenton if he could scoop her up and run to the forest as she wasn't sure if she could make it. "Oh, yes. Of course. I apologize Bella. How remiss of me," Trenton replied. Fool! You should have thought of that right away! he chided himself. He knew that Marina's physical handicap was not conducive for long walks, and yet he had kept her walking even this far. She should not have to walk like this. I should be taking care of her, his thought continued. Surprised at the intensity of his protection over Marina, his eyes clouded. He wasn't usually so vehment with her. What was bringing this on?
Trenton was broken out of his reverie by Marina's voice. He gave himself a slight shake and then refocused his attention back on her. She was asking if he was feeling okay or if he was feeling anything odd. "My protectiveness of you is somewhat heightened. But other than that, no "oddness" as you call it," he assured her. He then scooped Marina in his arms, holding her to him semi-tightly. Then, he raced through Los Angeles until they reached the forest.
OOC Maery give me permission to have Trenton pick up Marina.

Mari felt herself scooped up by Trenton and in a blur they were in the forest, "Trenton don't be so hard on yourself." she said as she looked him in the eyes and cupped his cheek, "It takes some time to get used to thinking of others when you've been independent for so long." She smiled at him and relaxed, "This is much better. Thank you." she said softly to him as she looked at him and clutched the groceries and the tent they had grabbed.
She nodded to him, "I'm still feeling odd but its hard to explain. I want to hug you and kiss you but nothing really more than that right now because that wouldn't be proper but...I like you. I feel safe with you and I haven't felt safe in a very long time. I keep hoping you like me too but I know its a lot to expect and if you totally aren't into me I get that really I mean yeah its kinda hard with me being human and all I imagine it would be like dating a blue plate special." she blushed and looked down, "Thanks for being so nice to me." She set the groceries down and began looking at the tent to figure out how to put it up. The clearing they were in had a fire pit and a park picnic table, "This will do nicely for a date." she said with a bright smile as she began unpacking the tent and trying to figure out how to put it together.

Once they were in the forest, Marina seemed to relax. Good. This is good, Trenton thought to himself. He didn't quite know what to do when she appeared frazzled or out of sorts. He smiled gently when she reminded him that he would have to get used to thinking about others when he was so used to looking out for just himself.
She then went on to explain that she still felt odd...like wanting to kiss him even though it wouldn't be proper, but other than that, she wasn't feeling anything else. Hearing that she liked him, Trent grinned, but then deflated slightly when she told him that she would understand that if he didn't feel the same way. "I like you too," he told her and then had to bite back a chuckle at her analogy.
He watched as she began to unpack the tent. "May I be of some assistance?" he requested.

Mari smiled at him and stretched slightly. Her body straightening as the quiet of the evening washed over her. Her skin looking pearlescent in the light and her blond hair shimmering as the moon played over it. Her eyes looked at his and she moved closer to him. "I'm so glad to hear that." she said with a huge smile on her face and then impulsively hugged him. "I was hoping you did but I didn't want to assume anything." she admitted with a bright flush to her cheeks as she relaxed next to him. Her mind was open to him and if he peaked he could see she was interested in learning about him and all that he had seen.
Glancing over at him she smiled and stepped back, "Of course; I guess I need to learn that I don't have to do everything myself any more." she stepped back to let him tackle the tent, "I'll set up the food while you deal with the tent. Can you eat regular food? There is so much I don't know about you that I want to learn. I don't mean to be nosy or rude though so please tell me if I get too personal." she said to him as she began unpacking things, putting down a table cloth on the table and laying out the food for the two of them if its found he can eat. She had left him to make some of the food choices so she glanced through the bag. "I know this wasn't what you planned but I like spending time with you, Trenton." she said as she looked back at him warmly. "I haven't had someone to talk to like this for a long time. Its so nice."
As the evening wore on, Mari relaxed and settled herself a bit more comfortably in the camping spot. After cleaning up the remnants of dinner, Mari crawled into the tent that had been set up for her and drifted off to sleep. Trent watched over here while she slept until he had to leave before the sun rose.
