Two whole days. It seemed longer. The boys are cool, especially Xzavier because of his kind of stubborn but laid back personality. She hadn't met Aaron or Axel, whatever his name is, yet but she was kind of eager. He was only a few years older then her so - she didn't know. She was just kind of finding it hard to connect to this place. It wasn't her. She was used to a highschool where people knew her and hanging out with friends everyday. Now she was - alone. She didn't really have anything here except from truck loads of nice words being sent her way. She had school in a week, a coucillor every day that starts with 'T' and two guys to look after her. She didn't really have it completely bad, but she couldn't fight how she felt. Kind of like she was lost or stuck as everyone around her moved on. Ironic for the girl that can be anywhere in the blink of an eye. A burette sat on her head as blond locks licked at her neck in the wind. A white long shirt drapped over her with a tight brown leather jacket on her, accompanied by light blue skin-tights on her legs and fluffy boots on. She was snug as she sat on the beach.
Summer was nearing but she would be lying if she said she wasn't freezing her toes off. Perched on a high pile of rocks, she sat with her camera in her hand. It was just after sun set and the sky was pink, the air full of salt. She actually smile as she looked out on the water, taking a snap of the waves on the sky when she got the chance as the tide hit the rocks under her. She watched, and thought of her brothers. For all she knew Dylan could be dead and Bobby could have changed his name to Chang and be living in Japan. She had no idea, and all she wanted was to see them. She never really used the gift anymore, but she had stayed up hours last night trying to glisten. It was pretty easy, just concentrate on one place and you will be their. But glistening to people, it was close to impossible. She actually glistened herself on the roof of 'Bobby's Pizzaria' but got back. She couldn't find them, and it hurt. But she could wait. She could wait for her brothers.
So there she sat, looking out over the ocean. They were somewhere, and they would come to her. ''Boys - - where are you?''. She whispered to herself, feeling a tear in her eye as it ran down. They had no idea their parents were dead, what the funeral was like; if Lana was okay. She needed to tell them, but she couldn't. Wiping the tear off of her cheek, she sucked it up as she looked back onto the ocean. ''It will be okay''. Standing up on the rock, she kept balance as she stepped off. Landing with a thud on her feet, she walked slowly across the sand, looking at the pictures she had taken. That was until she realized something - something a bit worrying. The sun was down. It was technically night.

Gabriel had been walking the beach all day. It was unusual for him but he thought he saw a person he never wanted to see again and it stirred up old wounds. He was angry at first then angrier when he realized he had gotten angry in the first place over someone. He tried to drowned himself in ecstasy with other women but to no avail. He wandered for a long time thinking not even noticing it had now turned night. He looked out over the ocean smirking faintly as the moon sparkled over it making it seem beautiful and despite this Gabriel had no doubt he was even more beautiful which cheered him up slightly. He looked up finally and noticed someone else was on the beach. He could tell from his distance only that it was a girl. He headed over in curiosity. Gabriel was only wearing shorts, black khaki shorts, his briefs just barely showing, they hung low showing a glimpse at his lower waist. He was tanned from the sun wonderfully but he wasn't bronze like most people who tan try to get. His tattoo on his right bicep and left lower waist was visible if one was close enough. He approached the girl casually. Gabriel now was close enough to where they could see each other clearly. He stood a couple feet from her his toned athletic built body nearly flawless which could bring cynosure to any model seeking out a stoic or perfecting figure. His soft skin colored with a remarkable blend not too white but not too bronze just a perfect tan which always is more than noticable whether he be in the sun or the shadows of the night sky. Angelic almost to every point as his eyes glistened at her with their serene and tranquil glow. Their alluring and enticing ocean blue gleamed in the moon light. He spoke and even his soft mellifluous voice was eloquence like gossamer or fine silk. "I hope I didn't startle you, I really only came over to make sure you were alright. Most people arn't around here at night by themselves unless they are troubled or in trouble. My names Gabriel, Gabriel Hart" Gabriel said as he walked to the other side of the girl then began to say something as he looked upon but paused for a moment staring in what appeared to be awe. Gabriel made a gesture of shaking himself out of a trance "Forgive me for being rude, its just the way the light of the moon reflected over you in that instant, that angle, I could have sworn.....never mind its stupid. Besides such grace is Ineffable." Gabriel said seemingly embarrassed now. Gabriel sat next to her but kept some distance so not to cross an uncomfortable boundary. His presence usually soothed and calmed people anyways but he wasn't one to force things. "Its none of my business so feel free to disregard me, but I have seen that look before, seen people go out to places and lose track of things, even I have found myself wandering out her longer than I intended today trying to get things sorted out in my head. Thats what your trying to do arn't you? Sort things out, fight the urge to question good things yet debate whether it is necessary too to worry about very possible troubles in spite of what may seem like a new start away from such problems. I would have to ask out of sincerity whether or not perhaps I could do anything to help? I mean its not like we are likely see each other again in this huge city, could be a chance to get things off your shoulders without worrying about judgement or people changing because things suddenly became more personal to them based on what you tell them. Iv'e had that problem too many times, people say things won't change then next thing you know friendship turns to complication, a helpful guardian big brother turns into an overprotective annoyance for you, and parents who say you can tell them anything always looking at you now with worry and distress..... So, whats up if you don't mind me asking?" Gabriel finished waiting calmly next to her for any response not likely to take offense to any reaction really.

The usual routine after a night photo-shoot; looking back on the photos trying to figure out what they are. Luckily, advancements in technology make this kind of thing much more easier. Unfortunately, she still could barely see it. She knew it was of the ocean, but they looked weird. Maybe the pictures were just unfocused. It would make sense since their composer was pretty messed up right now, but Lana stood strong. Fairy or seventeen year old, she wasn't weak. So she didn't want to seem it, so she did what she did best. She sucked up the feelings and hid them inside for another day. She couldn't do it right now. She was in a new city at a new school in a new home. Lana seriously didn't have time to break down. But then she saw him. Sitting against the rock, her attention was caught by - - him.
She might be a super fairy and potential vampire hunter, but she was also a teenage girl. When you a teenage girl, you have certain - thoughts. You know, desires and expectations. Adolesent hormones on parade but with her mother's death and her life being turned upside down, it felt like ages since she had felt these normal feelings. When he caught her eye and moved towards her, she gave him a suspicious look as he moved over in front of her, look into her eyes. Wow, talk about captivating. The Evans side of her was wondering what the hell was going on here, the Lana side of her was wondering if he worked out on a daily basis. The fairy part of her though sat neautral, and told her just to smile. She did as he seemed genuenly concerned and introduced himself. It was cute, and she now couldn't help but smile. It wasn't everyday that someone shows concern to a stranger, and she was happy it was her. "Hey, I'm Lana. And I guess I'm kind of a mix of both. Kind of trouble, but definitely troubled". She gave him a smirk and then looked back onto the ocean. He could tell that, was she that transparent?
He walked around her as she held her camera in her hands, and seemed amazed by something. The wind blew through the strands free from her hat and she looked to him in his gob-smacked state. It was kind of cute but different, he seemed like someone she had never met before. Someone very very different then the usual guys she would meet. But as she observed the moonlight glistening a white haze off of his built body, she couldn't help but chuckle slightly to break the tension. "What is it? Why are you looking at me like that?". She smiled puzzeledly while she spoke, and then he spoke. It was ellusive and kind of seductive, and he seemed to be able to make her cheeks blush in the night sky. When he said it, it seemed kind of romantic but also cheesy. But Lana kind of loved it. "Right - I'll try to forget it then".
After taking a seat next to Lana on the rock, she turned her neck to look at him, but her body still faced away. Really, she didn't know him. He could be a psycho for all she knew. She looked to him though as he spoke, and listened to everyword. Was he psychic? Was he psychologist? There had to be some reason he was so kind of pursasive and emotional and meaningful at the same time. Seriously, where did this guy come from. But from everything he said, Lana was left with a distant smile and a look of repressed feelings waffeling on the surface. "Um - a mix of things really. My - my mom died a few weeks ago and - my brothers don't know. They are overseas and I can't contact them. I am living with my two cousins who already have enough on their plate and not to mention, life is just getting a bit too difficult". She sighed and looked down slightly, before looking up to Gabriel. "People aren't exaggerating when they say one event can change your whole life. I don't even know what my life is anymore. But - I'll get through. But thanks for offering help but - I am pretty sure you weren't exactly hoping to spend your night listening to a girl's problems. I appreciate the gesture though". She smiled and reverted her gaze onto the ocean again.

Gabriel listened carefully, listening to every detail, he didn't respond immediately after she finished, just a light nod and looked over the ocean where she was looking. He turned to her again. It was the part where people said I'm sorry for your loss, you'll make it through this, I am sure your brothers will be alright when they find out, this responsibility doesn't fall to you, and so on and so fourth. But it was all garbage, it meant nothing, it usually was to make the person saying it feel better than the person they were saying it to. So Gabriel respectfully responded with a different approach. "Lana? Beautiful name. You know, your much stronger than most, certainly more so than I. If I had to endure the things you have said I can't say I would be calmly sorting it out over an ocean view thats for sure. You should realize though that regardless of what happens, no matter how confused you get, or how lost you find yourself that no one not family, friends, or enemies can change or tell you who you are. Only you. I can't tell the future unfortunately Lana, but something tells me that you will make the choices you were meant to." Gabriel chuckled faintly and grinned charmingly at Lana as she stated how he was spending his time listening to her problems unintentionally. "I can think of worst ways of spending my evening than helping out a beautiful girl. Besides it isn't like I am perfect myself. We all have our ups and downs and frankly it is important to at least know we don't have to be alone in the struggle."
Gabriel kept a slight smirk on his face but turned back to the ocean. "Its strange you know. one minute you think everything is perfect then the next a domino effect of pain and chaos erupts. You begin to wonder where those guardian angels your suppose to have are, where that benevolent god is, or the heroes that swoop in on tv and save the day at the last minute. I'll tell you what Lana, how about this. Unfortunately I m not any of those things otherwise you can be certain I would help but the best I can do is lend a friendly ear and keep faith that your everything that I think you are when it comes to having the strength to discover who you truly are and shape this chaos into a purpose, plan, and eventually the life you truly deserve, a wondrous one." With that Gabriel stood and faced Lana with an almost regretful look on his face "I probably have already overstayed my welcome here and poked enough around your personal matters that aren't any of my business. I wouldn't want to appear any more foolish looking than I already do now. I told you I had come over to make sure you were okay after all and more or less you are alright. I better go before I make a liar out of myself. Though I will admit now after meeting you, there are plenty of reasons why I'd want to stay. Take care Lana." Gabriel turned to walk away. He wasn't sure if it was just him

It was kind of weird. Somehow, someway when her world was looking down in the dumps, like everything that could have gone wrong had, this guy seemed to make things better. Maybe someone up above was watching out for her, maybe her mother sent him too her. It would make sense because Lana had to admit, she probably hadn't met anyone like this. High school boys were sex, parties, football and jokes. It wasn't like real relationships could properly be conjured in a educational area, but he was definitely something else. And Lana liked it. She couldn't wipe this smile off of her face and for some reason she had poured her heart out to this stranger, and he didn't pity her. He didn't give her the cliche that everything will get better and all that crap she had to deal with recently. It was the truth. That she could mold the future, she could make things better. And when he spoke to her, she couldn't take her eyes off of his. It was captivating and cute, everything that could be good for her right now. Little did she know that there was definitely more then meets the eye with Gabriel.
Then he had to go all super cute and call her beautiful. Her, beautiful? She blushed again, at this point if she did one more time her face would light on fire. She smiled and looked down slightly, and then back up to his face. "Beautiful? Its been - a good long while since anyone called me that". She grinned and then went into flirty mode. Wow, it seemed like centuries since she felt this. And she liked it. His gaze was sent out over the ocean now, and Lana looked to him with interest as he spoke about guardian angels and that he could be her shoulder. It was sweet, and really REALLY romantic. With that, Lana shuffled over towards him a bit more, breaking that line her orchestrated so it didn't make her uncomfortable but moving over closer was kind of better. "I think I can do that. I think - everyone needs someone to talk too. I don't have brothers, or parents to talk too. Not even really any friends. But I am happy to say - that I now have a friendship I would be happy to keep".
Then things turned sour. She didn't know what happened, but the look in his face was like her made a big mistake, a mixture of guilt and disgust with himself. He appologized to her, and she worriedly tried to get a word in. She didn't want to be alone right now, and he was going away. She went to reach for his mid-tanned strong hand, but missed as he went to walk away. "No, wait.". She said but he probably couldn't hear her. Quickly, she rolled across the rock and flipped her feet onto the sand, running after Gabriel. "Gabriel! Gabriel, wait". Running up, she finally caught his hand and turned him towards her, her catching his gaze again. "Please don't go. It might seem insane but - meeting you has been the best thing about moving here so far, and I don't want you to leave. Please, just - - walk with me?". Both of her hands now curled over his warm strong hand. She needed him, she needed him to stay.

As Gabriel walked away he counted slowly in his head, 1..2...3..then he heard it. His name, the call, the queue. A self gratifying devilish grin made its way on his face as he kept walking away. It faded as she caught up with him and grabbed his hands. He listened to her speak and only gave a heart warming smile at what she told him and lightly squeezed her hands back so that they were both holding each others hands and not just her holding his. Then in his dulcet, honeyed sweet voice, he pulled Lana slightly closer and stared deeply in her eyes as he softly spoke "Seem insane?" Gabriel shook his head ever so slightly and continued "No, I understand completely, it makes perfect sense. Please, lets continue on then" He said as he let go of one of her hands so they were side by side at hands and he carefully and gently pulled her to begin walking down the beach at an easy going pace. When they began walking he kept focus on what was ahead of them however he was still mostly keeping his attention on Lana in reality. "It's a beautiful night, its easy to forget in the hustle and bustle of the city here. It is nice though. It kind of helps wash everything away doesn't it? To go from the chaotic business of city and suburb life to this. The ocean free from everything, moving under the stars and moon care free, powerful, yet majestic. A complete contradiction to what lay but a few miles from it with the buildings, lights, and people. But I have always believed everyone should live to experience such sensual experiences, to feel good, live to the fullest, and experience all the pleasures this world has to offer. Most people forget, lose themselves with routine, lock themselves to the wrong people who usually don't even feel the same things they do or want the same things they do, and in a constant battle to condone themselves to the will of society."
Gabriels wore a calming face. It was more than just being laid back or taking in the moment, it was like he truly was completely carefree and that no matter what happened things wouldn't change that or for anyone with him. Without trouble, worry, fear, or concern. Gabriels shining sea colored eyes glanced over to Lana as he gently brushed away a bang that fell in front of her eye and smiled pleasantly as he spoke "Perfection is such a rare to find in an imperfect world, but for what ever reason, I think we might be getting close, makes you can't wait to see what happens next doesn't it?" Gabriel paused a moment then added looking forward then back to Lana "I can't tell you everything going to work out, be okay, but in this short time with you I can tell you one thing. You certainly deserve that kind of happiness." Gabriel decided to shift things a bit. No reason not to take his time. He did have all the time in the world after all. "So, school is starting soon. I see it all over the pace, always the back to school rush from parents and overly thought out shopping from guys and girls insistent on dressing to impress or one up each other. Its actually quite amusing for me, and I know, I am sorry. School is probably something you didn't want to think about right now. Hopefully you can forgive me." Gabriel gave an adorable puppy dog eyed look then grinned.
Gabriel then added "Tell you what, I actually have a favor owed to me by the owner of the mall close by to here." Gabriel pulled out a strange looking card that resembled a credit card but was specifically designed to reflect the mall like a gift certificate would but unlike any they sold in the mall. "Its the only one, you see I invested allot into helping get the mall open and was given this as a gift. There is a limit unfortunately, about five hundred dollars per store, but there also are allot of stored in a multi-storied mall so I think it will be fine. Also I have to give it back after I have used it once, only problem is I never had any reason to use it, I mean its been three years, I would have used it by now if I was ever going to. Gather up your girlfriends or whom ever and go buy anything that will make you feel better. New cloths usually help women not that I am a stickler for such stereotypes but its been blatantly obvious to me here that thats exactly the case." Gabriel smiled a friendly smile as he handed the card and a white card with his name and number to her. It was an appropriate way of doing things. He wasn't going to ask a girl he just met to go with him so he could buy her a bunch of things, he also wasn't going to invite himself or try to be invited, also he now gave her a reason to call him without it being awkward or weird, simply to return his card so he could return it to the owner of the mall. It was all considerately but purposely thought out.

Hand in hand with him, they started walking. A cool breeze washed over her, flooding through her bangs and over her face. A little bit chilly but looking to Gabriel, she wondered if he was cold. Maybe he was just playing cool, acting like it didn't phase him. All she knew is that she had grown up to fear what is in the dark, but at night right now, she hadn't ever felt so safe. With her hand in his, she acted on want. Her other arm crossed her body, and wrapped around his arm so she was clung to him. Not needily or clingy or whatever, but comforting and she smiled while she did it and they walked. The waves came in, bashing over the sand and rock in a roaring hum. She looked at it as she heard what Gabriel said. She listened, and had to admit she loved his perception on things. It was much more boarder then she would have though. She smiled, and looked at him. "I guess. If I had to say, I would just say in this city - nothing is what it seems. When you think about it, I could walk past a man on the streets and he could be a father of two, a rapist, a drug dealer. Back in Detroit, there was a specific stereotype that most abided by. Every day is a battle. In LA, it's different. In ways it is kind of better, but nothing is what it seems here". She sighed as they kept walking. By this, she meant a lot of things. The run in's with evil freaks, finding out a national wide enterprise harvests demons and that evil is just around every corner. It wasn't a safe feeling, but she couldn't say that right now.
Suddenly, they stopped. Lana turned in the glowing moodlight and looked at him. With the moon glistening on his face, his mid-tanned complexion beaming like the sun, she looked into his eyes. They reminded her of the sky, of home. He moved a bang out of her face, and it made her nervous. She cleared her throat slightly, looking into his eyes. What he said, made her heart jump. Perfection, could he get any cuter? She couldn't help but smile really, and she was captivated by him. And wanting her happiness, she smiled cheesily and her hand slowly touched his, feeling soft warmth, and a strength and passion she had never felt before. "Thankyou. You too, but I feel as though you could possibly be a primary contribution to making me happy". She smiled brightly, biting her lip as she looked up at him.
Now the talk reverted to school. She smirked, and the thought sucked. The new girl, she had almost forgot. Upon being attacked, living in a new city and meeting new and strange people, she hadn't had much time to think about it. But it was true, but she wasn't excessively worried. Ev was planning training her for the field, and she wanted to try and make something of herself in this city. But she had to go shopping. "Ahh, the back-to-school-shopping nightmare. The mass hysteria sweeps". She smirked as she found her hands rubbing his, along the veins and over his thumb. She smiled at him, but then he pulled out a card. As he explained, her smile disappeared to disbelief as he explained it and held it out to her. Oh god, that was far too much. She felt so bad right now. "No, Gabriel I can't -". But this wasn't just for her, it was for him. He was doing the cute guy thing, so she had to respect that. Mostly because she also liked it. "Thankyou, but I will take it under one condition. You have to come with me. To be honest, I haven't really made any friends here and unless I want to go shopping with my fashion-disaster cousins, I guess I could use an honest oppinion. What do you say?" She smiled, taking both of his hands and doing the puppy-dog eyes. Then from her pocket, she felt the vibration. Pulling out her phone, she looked at the screen as saw that Everette was calling her. Horrible, horrible timing. "Um - I have to go. I'm sorry but - 555-0126. This way, I know you will definitely be calling me for this date". She smiled, looking up into his eyes.

Gabriel found Lana to be fairly interesting for a younger girl. Normally they were annoying and childish or at least what Gabriel viewed as such never understanding these newer generations well but Lana was a bit different. On top of this Gabriel also didn't hate talking to her, he was use to acting, but he found he didn't have to pretend too much with her. Something else pulled at Gabriel, like he was missing something, something that shouted that she was more unique than he realized. This sparked a curiosity on top of the already flared attraction. Gabriel knew he was going to like Lana, at least in the sense of enjoying her company more than he normally otherwise would.
Gabriel had an expression like he was sad that Lana had to go but understanding as well. He soon threw on a grin once more and responded briefly with the only thing he really needed to say "555-0126....its a date." Gabriel pulled Lana closer and leaned in and gave her a quick peck on the cheek. He had no intentions of making things more intimate than needed. Just a polite taste to help inspire a desire for more and a respectful gesture to show he was more than willing to patiently wait. He took a few steps back and shoved his hands in his pockets and finished with his final goodbyes.
"I would be lying if I said I expected to find such a wonderful and breathtaking girl on a walk that was intended to lead me to be alone with my thoughts not find company in which I felt the need to share such thoughts openly, and more so, want to share them. Like I said, it is funny how things work out, makes you kinda excited to see whats going to happen next. I know such a remarkable girl probably has plenty to deal with both personally and socially, so I will try to call during hopefully a convenient time, and hopefully before you forget about a simple, cheesy guy like me." Gabriel said clearly making sure she knew he held her above himself which would be amusing to those who truly knew Gabriel and knew he held no one above himself especially when it came to appearances.
But there are always variables unseen that make for spontaneous enjoyable surprises. With that he turned and slowly made his way back to walking down the beach. Gabriel had been to L.A. a couple times before. Generally he never stayed in one place long. When you live centuries long you make it a point to see the world. In Gabriels case he had many conquest that required traveling as so like to sleep with a women from every country, to sleep with a women with every accent including different dialects of the same country, and to sleep with the most famous and royal of families in different countries.
But Gabriel had plans to stay in the city for some time. And as the moonlight lit up his figure in the cool night air displaying a being with the grace and charm of something divine and the confidence and spirit of life itself. But for all the pleasure and desire inspired the unfortunate truth is that no true happiness can be forged through the path Gabriel walks for Gabriel embodied only the carnal, primal, and physical desires of the world not the surreal, meaningful, and soulful emotion that comes from knowing love and companionship beyond the physical touch.

It was officially a date. Who knew that taking a shoot of the ocean would end with Lana meeting the guy that most girls wait their own life for. Maybe it was god's way of saying 'we took so much for you, so here is some more back'. She had met a guy that had made her freaky and twisted worlds seem a bit more better. Right now, being attacked and being a fairy didn't mean as much anymore. It just meant that Lana had a chance to be with a guy who was romantic, passionate and caring. He was no loser, no jerkoff that woudl break her heart. She felt something with him she hadn't before. It made her smile, so looking into his eyes as her verified the situation, her breath was taken away as he leaned in. A kiss touched her cheek, so delicately but enough for her to feel his smooth breath against her skin. But as he went to pull back, she had her eyes closed as he looked at him, big teeth-baring smile on her face as she blushed once more. Yeah, she was ready to explode in joy now. "Definitely - a date". She said softly, smiling up at him.
The next thing he said made the smile on her face impossible to remove. She almost wanted to scream, just for the hell of it. It was too good to be sure. He was obviously interested in her, not trying to lead her on or anything like that. But she was a fairy. If things were to get more intense between them, she would have to tell them. Her cousins knew, and they didn't seem to bad about it. But if it was a relationship, her story would have to come out. About how her cheerleading squad performed an initiation on the blue moon, causing them to become fairies. And then the bad came, and took the lives of more then half of them. The stupidest mistake of her life, and she would have to share it with him. If he favourite movies taught her anything, it was that she couldn't have the secrets. It would ruin her. So looking at him as he spoke to her, she made a promise to never forget. "I think it would be pretty hard to forget you, Gabriel. But - just in case".
She pulled out her camera and held it up to her eye, taking a quick snap of his face. And what a perfect face it was. The blue eyes, the smile, the jawline and the hair. She looked at it with the night sky behind him, and looked back up at him with a cute smile. "Just so I don't forget". She winked at him playfully and turned to walk away. Only after a few steps, she turned back for a second. "You better call". She smiled back at him and continued walking as he continued on. Once out of sight, she turned back to watch him walk into the distance. Then like a girl who just one a spelling bee, she through her arms up in the air 'wooing' like a woo girl and dancing on the spot. Maybe things really would be good in LA. Dancing on the spoke, pink light radiated from her body as she glistened away, getting home before Ev pitched a fit.
