Reginald stepped into bloodlust. He was wearing a black suit with a red tie and looked quite dapper as he listened to the driving music. He nodded to some familiar faces and old friends. He looked to be in his mid twenties and in fact was feeling quite alive from all the romance in the air. He knew his daughter was off to the woods and in truth was rather glad of it. She'd never seen him looking this young and he really didn't want to be tempted by her when he had this much power flowing through him. So tonight he looked ready to find someone to go home with. He couldn't wait until she saw how much he'd changed. The music pulsed and he began dancing with a young woman that he didn't know very well. Letting their bodies do the talking for him as he relished the freedom he had in this form. If anyone asked he would claim to be one of his sons and let the rest settle itself as it would.

April felt more than ready to dance the night away. She felt vibrant and active and she couldn't have this much fun in L.A. Fever, so, she went to Bloodlust, a club where she didn't have to hide what and who she was. "Another one!" She happily called to the bartender, as she ordered a new tequila. She then let her eyes wander in and smiled as she saw a man dancing with a woman. "Keep that in mind!" She half-yelled over the music, as she got up and smirked. "Mind if I cut in?" She asked teasingly, wanting to get to know this guy more. She looked at the woman, who looked slightly disappointed and then looked back at the young man.

Reginald smiled warmly, "I think we can make an exception this one time." he leaned over to the girl and palmed her number, "Melinda I'll call you about that secretarial position on Monday. I think Jack over there thinks I've monopolized you enough." he gestured for her to move along and then made room for April.
"Pleased to meet you." he said with a cocky grin as the music sped up and he moved with it with a jubulance rarely seen in the young. He'd been studying the dances and had been keeping up with the slang so he could blend in.

April smiled happily as he said he would make an exception for her, as she didn't see the first reason she came here; Emery. The girl was someone you hated or loved and she maybe did both. Or maybe it was because of the love uproar in town, as she called it now. What else was it? It wasn't as if it was normal for people to throw themselves at each other, especially not for her. But whenever around Emery, she simply couldn't help herself.
When the man in front of her said something to the woman, she didn't really bother to listen to, she smiled and looked at him, as the pace of the music quickened and she quickly moved to the beat. "Likewise." She said, with a smirk.
She liked dancing and if she could meet new interesting people along the way, why wouldn't she like it? This guy was certainly not someone she hated to be seen with. Even though she didn't even know his name, or most of all, what he was. It was kind of intriguing for her to find this out and besides, tonight was after all, all about having fun.

Reginald eyed her, "My name's Reginald. What is yours my dear?" he said as he regarded her with approval, "I do believe you are new in town. I certainly wouldn't miss a lovely lady such as yourself." he said with a grin as they continued to sway and they lost each other in the music.
He touched his daughter's mind and projected the image of April into her mind. She didn't appear to be focusing on anything other than trying to stop feeling so dizzy. He could tell she was with Trenton and dropped contact with her. "Its been an interesting night. Have you noticed people acting weird?" he asked her by way of conversation.

"I'm April." April greeted back with a smile, feeling good that he seemed to approve her. "Yes, I am new." She told him, as she smiled. "Thank you for your compliment." When they lost each other in the music, she was lost in thoughts. Although, now, it was only for a moment. Because she wasn't really going to lose contact with Reginald. Maybe, just maybe, there would be something in it for her too? She sure hoped so. "Yes, I have noticed." April said, as she looked at him, knowing this was meant as a means to a conversation. "What do you think caused this?" She really was curious to what he thought about it.

His blue eyes sparkled with appreciation, "Its not a compliment if its the truth my dear. Its just being honest." He admitted to her with that grin that had sent lesser women to their knees and that his daughter ignored regularly. He felt their bodies move and he felt the spell dance about them. He shrugged his shoulders, "Probably some witch wanting something she shouldn't have. Anytime someone casts a spell for less than pure reasons it comes back to bite folks on the ass."
It was like like the girls that prayed to find that right guy or not to be alone without prefacing their thoughts with the caveate of "by thy will." Prayer had to be specific and humble to it rippled in ways that darkness could twist and convert to its purpse. He thought of Trenton. His daughter had been lonely and there was a delicious irony in the only male that found her attractive being a vampire who's very nature would corrupt her if he was given time.
"You never know who you will meet on a night like this but its nights like this where you meat the most interesting folks I think anyway." He said with a shrug of his shoulders to her.

April asked herself if she saw it for real; the appreciation in his eyes, but when she heard what she said, she knew it couldn't have been her imagination. So, she smiled. "Well, then I can surely say that I like your honesty." She said, as she felt her stomach knot up at the grin he sent her and immediately knew she wouldn't be the first to feel its effects, even though she kept her face as void of emotions as she was able to do normally. Not now, though and she was sure he noticed.
"Probably. But the witch must have been strong to have this effect on the entire town. It's like Valentine's day all over again." And she didn't much like Valentine's Day. It was that one day in the entire year where people felt like they could openly profess their love to each other and act like goodie-goodie teenagers.
April knew all too well about prayer. It was how she got into the position she was in today. It was how she reeived her powers and sold her soul to a demon, to protect her family from harm. That was a prayer that went answered and she was still paying her dues for it, not that she was going to complain about it. It also gave her freedom after all.
"Yes, I met you." April couldn't help but say boldly, at his comment about how a night like this could bring forth some interesting meetings. Then of course, she wasn't here if she didn't already believe that. Especially not with a guy as intriguing as Reginald.

Reginald laughed with that seductive chuckle his kind were known for. His now brown hair teasing the lights with its mahogany coloring. "You will have to tell it to my daughter. She routinely ignores my advice." he said with that rakish grin, "She thinks I am far too cruel in my word choices. I see it as a chance to fix that which does not work." He felt another song start up and began moving to it. "Indeed, only a strong practitioner could have done this but the powers that be are not going to appreciate it. They hate it when the natural order is disrupted with petty desires that pale in the grand scheme of things."
He nodded at her bold statement, "Indeed. To which I thank the darkness below for such a boon as to bask in the presence of such a beautiful spring darkness." he smiled and tilted his head, "Would you like to find a table? All this dancing must make you thirsty. I promise, no strings attached; unless you like that sort of thing. In which case I am all for playing with string."

The seductive smile he sent her, made her knees slightly go weak. What the hell was going on? Why did he have this effect on her? It wasn't rational.. Hell, it wasn't even sane. A smile appeared on her face as she heard what he said. "I'll keep it in mind." She stated dryly, as her eyes got a teasing, almost seductive look, as well.
"Yes, I agree. It never end well.. But nothing's wrong with a little havoc amongst town. And I'm sure this witch is young.. So if manipulated by the right forces, she can be of certain value." April said, as a smirk played across her face.
A smile appeared on April's face, at his comment, as she thought what a charmer he really was. Not that it felt bad to have this kind off attention for once. Most of the time it were just guys that were too horny to think straight, in which case she most happily killed them. But this man.. Reginald, he was different, in a good way different. "Sounds like a good idea." She said, as she laughed slightly at his comment about strings, which she found well-placed. And who knew what tonight would bring.

He moved with her over to a secluded table and ordered a gin and tonic for himself before waiting for her to order what she would like, "I suppose it would behoove us to find out who is behind this fortuitous event. I've been a bit concerned with family issues. My daughter is at that age where I want to make sure she is supervised. I don't want her turning into a goodie two shoes like her mother was." he said with a wry grimace. "She delights in vexing me. In any case I think you and I could certainly wreak a little havok of our own. If you'd be willing to work with me I could see that you were very well provided for in exchange for services that I need."
He looked at her, "I have need for many things however; which ones are you willing to meet my dear? It always is good to play with ones strengths I believe. And you look to be very strong indeed."

"Unfortunately, I'm no seer." April said, as she walked with him to a more secluded table and ordered a glass of red wine. "Oh, how I hate goodie two shoes." She commented, as she looked at him, focussing her attention on him. "I am very lucky to not have to worry about my own family." She stated, letting him know that she did listen.
"Well, i'm sure we can. I am after all looking for someone to do just that with." April told him, as she leant in, to show how he got her attention. "What do you have in mind?" She asked him, tilting her head slightly to the side. "My one strength of power I am proud of, is fire." She then carelessly let him know, not worried about any consequences it would bring to let that one slip.

He laughed lazily, "My daughter will come around I'm sure. After all its not like she has a choice." he smiled wickedly, "You my dear made the smart choice in coming to our side. I think we can definitely find something rewarding for you to do with your time and talents if you wish." He sipped his drink and surveyed her with his dark blue gaze. "Hart Enterprises is the other big dog in town and in fact they are the law firm I use when I find myself in need of such. But what I personally need is a lady that is willing to wine and dine the rich and famous so that I can get them to sell their cruise line over to me. See I deal with travel to exotic ports of entry. There is precious little that hits either shore of this country that I don't know about."
He leaned forward, "My daughter is an empath and a psychic. With some persuasion she helps me read potential clients and gives me the dirt on them but currently I'm trying to see if I can arrange a marriage with a well placed gentleman to help ground her and give her stability. Until that happens I can't expect her to come into the fold and assist me. You on the other hand are charming, graceful and have the potential to get rid of any problems for me with your fire gifts."
"You can do far more than an empath and with you on board I can find things for my daughter to do that are more in line with her gifts so we all benefit. She vets out the trouble makers and you dispose of them and its a win win situation. It would require you to meet with my daughter Marina but given how accepting she is of everyone, so long as you treated her decently she'd accept you." He passed her a picture of his daughter, "You'll find her in the company of Trenton Moore in the evenings. He's quite besotted with her and being as he's the number two vampire in the city I am not going to pass up a chance at an advantageous connection."
He smiled, "So that is it. Its simple really. I don't require you to sleep with anyone unless you want to and I will cover any expenses for clothing and lifestyle you feel you must incure. I would hope you could coax my daughter into accepting her station in life, she's a bit reluctant to truely comprehend that she should dress and act according to her station. Between you and Trenton I think you can turn my "ugly duckling" into a swan. Leave the corruption to Trenton. He's not going to be able to resist bringing her into the darkness he's already getting quite skilled at removing those he sees as hurting her. Eventually, he'll slip and start to corrupt her but by then I'm sure there will be wedding bells in their future."

April smiled and listened to what he said, at his proposition. He knew how to make people listen to them, as she was already 100% interested in what he had to offer. And she didn't see the use of letting that show. Not, now that she was positive she liked him. When their drinks arrived, she took her glass and took a careful sip from it, already having quite an amount of alcohol in her system. All the while, she made sure to stay quiet and let him do the talk. "I know it is the best side of all." She said, with a smile, as she looked at him, happy that she was right to believe he was a demon. He after all, seemed to be just that.
Hart Enterprise? How come she never heard of that? She asked herself, as she took another sip and placed the glass back down ot the table. "I am more than willing to accept you on that offer." She said, about him needing a lady to wine and dine with the rich and famous. Who didn't want that? She then went back to listening to him, deciding not to overthink everything. There would be plenty of time, when she was more sober.
"I might be able to help you with the persuasion, too. I'm sure, if I play it right, she and I can be what humans call friends." Yes, as if she believed in that. Friends.. That was what she used to have, before she sold everything she owned. Before she knew the delight of torturing and punishing people that she thought deserved it. When he said he thought she was charming and graceful, she couldn't help but get an appreciative look in her eyes. It was nice to hear a man like himself say that to her. "No problem at all." She said, about getting rid of those people he spoke of.
She nodded, at the mention of it being a win-win situation and looked down at the picture of that girl; Marina. "That won't be too hard." She said, as she looked up at him again. "Number two? Is that Trenton guy going to be a problem for me?" She then asked, wanting to know what she was getting into with her fake friendship with that Marina girl.
"You know, talking about being willing to cover for those expenses might not be the smartest thing to do with a woman around." She joked lightheartedly, as she leaned back slightly. "Well since Marina and I are both women, it shouldn't be too hard to take her shopping for a nicer warderobe. As you are already mentioning, I don't think I need to convert her further into darkness than that Trenton guy is already doing. It's part of why I like vampires, some pretend to be good, but they never hold onto that promise. In the end, they're all just as evil as us." She said, taking another sip. "I think we have a deal. I'm in." She said, slightly unsure, if they should shake hands or whatever on that.

Reginald smiled at April and nodded, raising his glass as he did so, "Indeed. To darkness and the secrets it hides." he said for a toast as he looked over at her and admired her form. "I'm glad to have you on board my dear. You'll like the dark side; as my daughter jokingly says "We have cookies." he winked at her and took another sip of his drink.
"If I were you I would not try to fake being her friend, April. Doing so will just make her hate you. She's an empath and can sense if you are even the least bit insincere. The minute she senses that she'll strike like a viper." he assured her, "She has had too many people try to be her friend because she was wealthy. Just last week she had some Witch do a 180 on her the minute she figured out Marina was wealthy. She and her boyfriend will be coming by. I'm sure we can dangle some suitable bait to corrupt both of them."
"Trenton is protective of her. So long as you don't hurt her or make fun of her you should be fine. Besides you're a demon. Thus far he's only taken out a few pesky human cheerleaders that he felt were making fun of my daughter." he waved his hand gently and then offered his hand to her, "Taking her shopping sounds like an excellent idea. She does know how to dress she just doesn't like using my money. She feels like she is a burden." he rolled his eyes and grinned before offering his hand. "Its a deal, April. Shall we go to dinner to celebrate? Anything afterwards is completely up to you of course." he winked at her.
