Merry is shy and retiring but don't count her out for all that. She can be a spitfire when it counts and will stand up for the right thing. Though she is thoughtful and shy she is not afraid to speak up with friends and family. She's recently graduated and is in charge of the LA Library's magical artifacts. Play nice if you want a chance to see them or she might show how much of a spine she really has.



Merry needs to grow as a person and come into her own in the magical community. To that end I'd like the opportunity to let her grow. She's genuinely a sweet girl who doesn't make waves.

Season One

In a normal Day in the Life, Merry runs into all sorts of folks. Cassie is one such patron and while she isn't sure of the girl's motives she thinks she is friendly and likes her. (Closed)

So far, she's met Rodney briefly during library hours and while she thinks he wants to ask her out she was kinda vague on the particulars. (Closed)

Connor is a whole nother basket of eggs, she doesn't know if he wants to kill her or date her. Can we say confusing? (Closed)

After Connor dropped her off for the evening she had her cousin Sienna look at her hand at the Lovelace Manor. Having a nurse in the house is useful for unexpected injuries. (Closed)

Axel is Rodney's Wingman and roomate and he decided to see for himself what Merry was like. Her bite from Connor has distracted her but she thinks Axel is a loyal friend to Rodney. (Closed)

Season Two

At the tea house Merry went with Connor based on a feeling he had. She doesn't know what they are talking about but she's glad Connor is happy and connecting with someone other than herself. She finds out her father is a vampire and resolves inwardly to try and mend the breach with her father and Connor. (Closed)

The next day Merry gets a call from Lelia and goes to pick her up from the trench she fell into. Trying to help stabilize her mentally she helped her straighten out her laundry and cooked food for her in the thread Perfect Insanity. (Closed)

The following day she meets Jayla in the library and tries helping her find the right library book for her in the thread Can You Help Me? (Closed)

Finally Merry gets to go to Charms 'N' Thangs to meet up with Everette and get her hand healed. He assures her she's doing alright and she invites him on a picnic so he can relax. Everette ends up hanging out with the Lovelace clan to relax and get himself better grounded before he comes back to hunting refreshed and invigorated. (Closed)

Needing a break, Merry takes Connor to her cousin's circus in Cirque de l'amour. She's trying to get him to stop brooding an he is introduced to the concept of donated blood from the blood bank instead of hunting. (Closed)

In the Clear with Jyo Kido is Merry's first meeting with Jyo. She doesn't know he is the Gang Leader of Black Rose and suggests several histories of gangland and its history. (Closed)

In A Quiet Night Merry meets Wes and Trenton at the library.

Without Love is her dance recital is when she meets with Connor and Rodney. The Tension is palatable as she sees their hackles rise. Connor kisses her for the first time and she is angry it took Rodney being there for him to show interest. (Closed)

We All Fall Down is when Connor realizes Anne has been living under their roof all along. He panics and begins trying to coax her into casting a spell to cure Anne of her vampirism. (Closed)

Connor Douglas

Connor is a chance for her to step out of her shell and help someone else. While there is this dance of danger going on deep down she just wants to help him.

Rodney Samuel Brentel

Rodney is just sweet. If she could get him to talk to her maybe they could go out for coffee. She's thinking of asking him herself but has to wait until he gets the courage to come back.

So I'd like Merry to find out who killed her mother. I've not fleshed out too much of the idea because I wanted the players to be able to flesh out the story. The main part that Merry finds out and comes to terms with it.

I'm open to suggestions and offers. Anyone who knows this character knows she tends to get into mischief without anyone helping her. ;D

@everette All those ideas sound really cool! I like them. Let me know when you want to get started on them or just put a thread with my name in it, hon.

RODNEY/MERRY: So, i'm not sure where you wanted to go with this. I know you said that a vampire was going to be her love interest (i'm assuming Connor hehe). Anyways, Rodney could just have a major crush on her if you wanted. Maybe he could become friends with her but never get to where he wanted to be with her because of this Connor guy lol. And when he finds out about the supernatural and that Connor is a vampire, he would be concerned for Merry because he does love her as a friend too. Keep? Edit? Scrap?


Both those ideas work for Rodney. Be sure to run it past Connor for his imput that way the two of you can figure out some epic plottage. Rodney might be trying to save her but he loves her so he's got that issue to work out. Definite growth there. Especially since Connor wants to be a good vamp and work for the brothers. Ya'll could have a rivalry going and she might not even know. LOL

Maybe Emery knows what happened to her mother? Sounds good.

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out a plotline for these two, since they are kind of close and of course cousins. But maybe Merry can eventually help Sienna finding Lelia? I don't know, my muse is already sleeping atm, so if you got some ideas? Let me know.

Merry&Jayla
Jayla is a Banshee, but good-natured and kind and wouldn't hurt a soul. However, she would like to know more about herself and about Banshees and stuff, which I'm sure Merry can help her with? I think they have potential of becoming good friends later on, too.

Merry&Shannelle
Shannelle.. I've abandoned her, it's true. She has just become a werewolf and already knows who turned her; Daryl. Merry and Shannelle can meet up anywhere, since i don't really have an idea for plottage with these two.

Sienna and Merry could be trying to find out the mysteries of the house and who killed Merry's mom. Sienna may or may not like Connor depending.

Shannelle and Merry Would probably get on well. Maybe Shannelle is using the magical archives?

Merry and Jayla could get on well. Merry sings opera and other stuff so they have that connection and magic.
