Three weeks was definitely a long time. Fortunately Jay, Axel and even the circle had come to visit. Hell, even Kyra came and tried to smile. But it had been so long in the hospital, and she just wanted to leave. But she was definitely not in a good place. Hospitals were not fun. She had sat in a bed, watched reruns of Jersey Shore and eaten horrid food for three weeks. And - you know - practised magic. Technically, she should be dead. She had nearly died. Selena nearly drained her dry, and with minimal blood transfusions she had to help the circle from a hospital bed with a broken leg. So yeah, the past month hadn't been nice to her. But she was feeling better - kind of. She was still in pain, kind of weak and had to do physiotherapy everyday. But she had just two days until she got out. And she was so excited to get back to things. Cutting hair, going to college, hanging with her friends and getting back into coven stuff. Magic wasn't the same just by yourself, well for Jace it wasn't. She might be a super witch with - demon power inside her, but she missed the others. Claire's wise words, hanging with Ev, perving on Wes and yeah, even Kyra's bitchyness. Going back to her super strange life sounded great at the moment.
In a hospital gown and with braces around her casted leg, Jace used her crutches to hobble down the hall. She couldn't eat dry peas and crappy meat anymore, she desperately needed a packet of Cheetos and a soda. She was not taking no for an answer. It wasn't easy with crutches, but they had to do. She wished this didn't happen to her. But she didn't blame Ev. He didn't know Selena was going to do this, it was just unfortunate. She just hoped he didn't blame her. Moving further, she saw the machine around the corner. Only a few feet away, she held some coins in her hand as she got to it. It was never easy being disabled so she bowed over as far as she could as she went to put the coin into the machine. It sunk in but the machine - to her luck - stopped. She couldn't help but roll her eyes. ''Really people, really? It wasn't like life wasn't sucking enough at the moment''. Smacking the machine, she realized something. The lights in the machine were off. Also all the lights in the hospital were off. It was really strange, and with a confused look she hobbled on her crutches into the hallway. Here, it got really weird.
It was like a photo. Everything was frozen. The water cooler, the doctors, the nurses, the clock and even the fly in the air. With one hand, she rose her finger up to touch the fly in front of her. Once touched, it just fell through the air down. Okay, this was freaky. But was it her doing this? All strange crap happens around her, right? Burning beds, storms, exploding fountains. It probably was though, and she sighed. But then from a distance, she saw something move. A shadow. With a curious yet worried expression, she eyed the shadow as she tried to keep stable on the crutches. Was there someone not frozen? Why? But then she saw them. A man came from the corner, a blade in his hand. You didn't have to tell her twice; it was a witch-hunter. Freaking out, she turned but forgot about the crutches. They crashed to the ground but Jace shot forwards. She limped, grabbing onto the wall for support as she glanced back and saw the hunter moving towards her, fast. ''Someone, help me!''.

Mike entered the hospital with one thing on his mind: to talk to a girl named Jacinta Landers. He had heard the talk in the supernatural community about a big event that had transpired right before he had arrived. He wasn't sure of the details since it wasn't in any of the police reports and no one here knew him well enough to trust him, but from what he had heard, something had happened to cause one of the most prominent women in LA---a Selena Hart---to take a swan dive from her office window. Shortly after that, the crime rates had sky-rocketed, and from what he heard, this girl Jacina might have an idea of why. As he continued down the hall, the lights suddenly shut off. Instantly, Mike's body became rigid and he unholstered his sidearm, taking the safety off. Something was going down. Cautiously, he moved forward, his eyes taking in every inch of his surroundings. Hearing something crash to the ground, he quickened his gait into a careful run. "Someone, help me!" The cry encouraged Mike to quicken his pace even more and as he neared the vending machines, he saw a figure with a blade in their hand. "Police! Drop the knife now or I'll shoot!" he warned.

She could feel the wound on her leg ripping open. She shouldn't be doing this, but then again witch-hunters shouldn't try to kill her. She groaned as she pulled herself forwards. She tried to start a line of fire between them, but he moved to fast. It wasn't looking good at all as she worriedly dragged herself down the hall. Blood began dribbling from the cast onto the floor as she moaned in pain. It was so hard to do this, but she just couldn't seem to catch a break. But then things looked up. She saw a cop jump out. Why wasn't he frozen? He held a gun at the hunter in front of them. Seriously, a gun! ''No, back''. Shooting her hand up at him, she telekinetically shot him back into a patients room behind him. Oh god, you do not shoot a witch-hunter, you run from them. Hobbling forwards, she fell into the room with him as the door slammed closed behind her and locked itself. She groaned in pain as she scrambled to put her back against the door as she looked at the cop.
''Who are you?''. Then suddenly, a vicious kick hit the door. It banged but she pushed against it to keep it closed. ''Go away!''. She screamed at the door but then suddenly, he stupid magic took over. The gaps on the edges of the door disappeared. The door melded into the wall as the door disappeared. She was amazed but grateful. At least the hunter was away, but now they were trapped in the room. Well, she was trapped in a room with a cute stranger who is probably thinking she is a total freak. She grunted as she adjusted her broken leg. ''Why didn't you freeze like the rest of them?''. She asked as she looked at the blood oozing down her leg.

Mari felt a surge of emotional energy as she was recovering from her dad's latest beating. She had lied and claimed she'd fallen due to leg spasms and now the nurses had finally left her alone. She felt that surge and she ran towards it. Hobbling in her own special way of course but doing her best to get there.
She didn't know what she would find. Hostage situation, demon attack it could be anything. She got to the door and saw the guy projecting hate and rage kick at the door. A door slammed shut and she watched the door seal itself. She dove and gripped one of Jacinta's crutches and swung it hard straight at the hunter's kneecap. She didn't know who was in there but they weren't going to get hurt if SHE had any say about it.
"What the hell do you think this is you lousy bastard? Charmed???" she shouted and swung the crutch to block the next blow, "Go away or so help me I will make you sorry you pathetic piece of crap!" Her brown eyes flared with anger and she projected fear into the Witch hunter's mind. Finding the emotion within him and amplifying it. She mind screamed at him a cry of empathic battle. This being was NOT going to hurt anyone on her watch by god!

"No back!" the girl shouted and Mike suddenly found himself in a different room. Whoa. Weird way to travel, he thought to himself. Suddenly, the girl fell into the room as well. "You okay?" he asked as she put her back to the door. Realizing what she was trying to do, he moved along side her and placed his hands on the door. "Who are you?" she asked. "Mike Corbett LAPD. And you?" he replied amidst the banging. "Go away!" she shouted. Before Mike knew what was happening, the door disappeared into the wall. "Whoa. Next time you might wanna be more specific with that spell," he advised. "Why didn't you freeze like the rest of them?" she asked. "Everyone else is frozen?" he questioned. Well, that'd explain why no one seemed to hear all the commotion, he mused. Then, "No clue. As far as I know, I'm not immune to spells." She shifted and for the first time, he noticed blood flowing from the girl's leg. He took his jacket off and began to place it on the wound. "This is gonna hurt, but I need to stop the blood flow," he stated. "So, you mind telling me who you are, what you are---no offense meant by the way---, and why you're being hunted?" he questioned. He had a feeling that the girl might be a witch, but he didn't want to come right out and ask her. That would've been rude. Then, he heard a muffled noise from the other side of the wall. "What's going on out there?" he wondered.

LAPD? The cops were into this, but why? She kind of felt lucky since, maybe he might be able to clean this up after. But right now, unless he went all 007 and stuff then he was kind of useless. The best weapon against witch hunters were witches, but this one seemed to be able to block her magic because she was willing him away, but with no success. The only spell to help was her subconscious taking away the door. Amazingly enough, she was grateful for it. They were safe for now and she laid back against the wall she breathed heavily, exhausted. He seemed surprised but he didn't freak out like she invisioned. He was - fine actually. He actually gave her advice and she was more shocked them him. Tilting her head, she looked to him. ''You know about magic?''. She asked as she heard the banging on the wall. Witch hunters were skilled but beating through a wall, no way.
What he seemed more shocked at was the time stuck thing. She smirked in astonishment. He didn't realize? The frozen objects, flies in mid air, statue orderlies. It was actually kind of funny. ''Detective, haven't you seen the freeze frame. I mean - - look! That patient can't sleep standing up with his eyes open can he?''. She pointed to the old man and then lowered her arm. Time to enter this detective into a magical world of freaky. But when he decided to play the strong man, he helped her splitting leg. He was cute, really, and she smiled slightly as he helped her leg. She did love a man in uniform. Growing up she loved Captain America. Definitely in uniform. She winced in pain, but sucked it up. When he asked his questions, she could feel like she could trust him. So sighing, she did.
''Since you asked so gentleman like, I'll give you the cliff-notes version. I'm a witch, well more a grey witch. I have both light and dark magic, call me bewitched. But - the names Jace. And the hunters obviously don't like me, so they try a stunt like this. I can't cut a break right?''. She sighed as she put her hands to her hair, feeling stressed. Selena bleeds her dry and breaks her leg, now hunters are after her. Great! But then she heard sounds behind the wall. He head against it, he could hear a girl's voice and a struggle. ''Get away from the wall''. Pushing herself up, she limped to her feet as she swung her arm over Mike's shoulder to try and support her.
''Okay, if what I feel behind that wall is true, then we have to get there. So - wish us luck''. Giving him a smile, she then looked back to the wall. Holding her hand at the wall, concentrating, she channeled her power. ''Plaster and wood, burning and blowing''. She chanted it twice until it happened. Feeling the power force through her hand, she gasped. The wall in front of her exploded. It crumbled and shot plaster across the floor as she looked through and saw a blonde girl verses the hunter. No way! Limping forward a bit, she looked to the hunter. ''You want me bastard, come and get me''. The hunter charged towards her, but she had a plan. Pushing Mike out of the way, she fell backwards onto the floor. Don't worry, she has a plan. She curled up as the hospital bed behind her shot towards the hunter. It went over Jace, missing he but swung at a high speed and hit the hunter. It was launched across the hall and into the wall as Jace removed her arms from over her head and looked to see if it worked.

Mike concentrated on finishing the dressing, his brows furrowed in concentration. Okay Mike, not too tight, but not too loose either, he reminded himself. Then, he finished what he was doing. "There. That should hold," he told her. He then chuckled at her amazement that he knew about magic. "Yeah, one of the perks of growing up with a vampire for a best friend," he told her. Jesse. He'd probably know what was going on. Mike remembered that the vampire had always kept tabs on the supernatural dealings of New York and teaching Mike different ways---human and supernatural---of protecting himself. He flushed slightly as she pointed out a patient that was standing still. I can't believe I didn't notice that, he thought to himself. He knew better, especially as a cop. "I guess I was a bit distracted by the lights going out," he admitted. The girl then answered his question, stating that she was a witch, more specifically a grey witch. "That's pretty rare, isn't it?" he queried. Most witches either chose one side or the other, white magic or black magic. As far as he knew, there weren't many that chose grey magic, using both light and dark. She went on to say that her name was Jace and that hunters didn't like her because she was a witch. "Jace? Is that short for Jacinta?" he questioned. "If so, I was coming here to talk to you, but I think we better save my questions for a later date," he continued. He started to say something more but the sound of a struggle from the other side of the wall interrupted him. Jace told him to move away from the wall and he did so. Then, she started to climb to her feet. "Easy," he cautioned, reaching out to help her. After making sure she was okay to stand, he stepped back as she held out a hand and started chanting a spell. Suddenly, the wall in front of them exploded. "Cool," Mike commented. Then, he saw a blonde-haired girl battling the man who had tried to kill Jace. Jace called out a challenge to the hunter and then pushed Mike out of the way and the officer watched as a hospital bed shot towards the hunter, htting him. Mike chuckled in appreciation at the sly move. Then, he quickly went over to grab his gun, put the safety back on, and then reholstered it. Thank goodness it didn't go off when I was thrown back, he thought to himself. After this, he went back to where the blonde-haired girl was. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Mari winced as the door exploded and chunks of wood cut her, She gritted her teeth and kept fighting through the pain. She looked back as the hunter went after Jace again and she turned to see if someone was going after her. She felt warmth drip off her back and she took a step forward, there was a man with a gun a police officer.
She exhaled slowly and felt her vision go wonkey. "I think part of the door hit me...." she murmured as part of her felt the world start to spin, "My name's Marina. Could one of you get me to a doctor. I think when the door exploded some of the splinters hit me..." she fell forward slightly and bits of the door stuck out of her back, blood pooling around her as she tried not to pass out. "My medical card and ID are in my wallet here..." she pulled it out and handed it to him before she began to feel the world go fuzzy, "Is she okay? I saw that guy go after her. I didn't want her to get hurt..." Her brown eyes looked between the two and she slowly began to lose consciousness.
