Thayer was in a state of panic, he had to get out of there. He had no choice. He had failed Selena and the Hart Enterprises twice; he couldn’t stick around here anymore. He just couldn’t. Thayer ran into his room after his encounter with Axel, he picked up the biggest bag he could find and just started tossing clothes in there. He really didn’t care if they were clean or not, he just needed clothes and enough pairs of underwear. He then went down to his knees and took out a small jewelry box. It belonged to his adoptive mother; he then forced that into his bag.
He walked around the room in a panic, looking to see what else he needed of importance. Selena was just going to have his head he knew it. It was their fault anyways; he had Axel in here for like an hour and no one from Hart Enterprises showed up. Thayer then zipped up his bag as he threw it over his shoulder and he ran out his room in a panic state. Where was he going? He didn’t know but staying here wasn’t an option. He hated going though, this school had an amazing dance program and he was really enjoying it.
Thayer ran out his room as he ran down the hall. He then ran down the stares as quick as possible as he was out the door and outside on campus. He suddenly heard a “Hey” he wasn’t sure it was for him but he wasn’t sticking around to find out, all he heard was footsteps behind him and someone screaming “Hey” telling him to stop.

Emery let the body crumble to the grass in front of her, her eyes slowly swirling from a blackish back to her original green. She leaned against the brick red A House building trying to regain her composure. Sometimes the rush of draining someone could get a bit intense, especially when she took too much. But what a feeling! It was a good thing she didn’t care about people. If she did, being a succubus wouldn’t be this easy. But even draining someone to the point of death by kissing them wasn’t the farthest she could go with her powers. There were other ways to drain people that she had learned over these few years of being a succubus. The demon who had given her this ability didn’t just leave her to do it all on her own. No, he taught her and now used her. But that was okay. That was something she was used to, being used. In this case though, she enjoyed what she was doing.
When the light-headedness stopped, she smiled pushing off the wall. She didn’t normally hunt on campus. But she couldn’t help it if she got hungry on the job. The best thing about being a bartender at Bloodlust was that she heard things. Oh say the fact that two of the three Trinity Brothers went to the University here in town. She had also heard a few things about an evil company, but she was a little fuzzy on that. She probably shouldn’t have killed the guy though. The last thing she wanted was the LA cops being after her. She was already wanted in a number of states. She had to make sure that if she did get into trouble it was after she killed the Trinity Brothers.
Just as she was about to investigate the area a bit more, the presence of something familiar made her freeze. This feeling was something not new to her, but it was something that caught her off guard almost every time. There was someone like her somewhere near where she was at. An incubus. She was still impressed at some of the abilities she had. Having ‘cubusdar’ was just one of the many. That was what she called it anyway although it wasn’t something that happened very often. She had only come across a few of her kind since she had become a succubus, but oh were those encounters interesting. If only she knew where he. Just as this thought came into her head, a guy burst out of the A House building, bolted down the stairs, and took off towards the front of campus. When he passed her, that feeling became much more intense making her eyes begin to swirl black once again. Yep, that was him. Emery glanced back at the entrance of the building and no one was following him at all. Why the hell was he in such a hurry? She could tell he was panicked. That’s what made the feeling so much more intense.
Emery didn’t normally want to help people, but he wasn’t just a person. He was an incubus that probably didn’t know what the hell he was doing because he hadn’t noticed her one bit. “Hey!” She yelled after him, but he didn’t stop. Emery rolled her eyes and began to run after him. It really wasn’t her responsibility to see what was wrong with this incubus, but if he was in this town killing people, she couldn’t risk the possibility of her getting caught being that she would probably be here for quite awhile. “Hey, stop!”
It took Emery a few seconds to catch up to him. He was fast, that was for sure. She grabbed onto the duffle on his shoulder and yanked hoping to stop him.

Thayer just kept hearing someone trying to stop him and calling him, but was probably one of Ariel’s henchmen or…well henchwoman? Either way he wasn’t sticking around to see what they were going to do to him. Suddenly out of nowhere someone grabbed him by his duffle bag with clothes as he spun around pushing that person’s hand away in a panic. He turned and all he could do is stare this girl dead in the eyes. He wondered why she tried to stop him, did he drop something? Was he sent to kill him, what was her deal?
Thayer just stared at her “Who are you? What you work for Selena? I tried and failed okay, I couldn’t get the brothers now leave me alone!†Thayer just turned around and continued to make a run for it again. He didn’t even stick around to really hear who she was or what her deal was but he just had to get out of there as quick as possible, he wasn’t sticking around to be one of Selena’s torture monkeys. He was getting out of LA, he had no other choice than to do that.
But she didn’t seem to give up, he could hear her behind him and within seconds he was on the floor, talked out of nowhere and on his back just staring at this woman and when he was more calmed he looked this woman in the eye and he felt weird. This certainly wasn’t one of Selena henchman he though but, there was something about her that made his whole body feel weird. Like she was a being, a kind he was familiar with but he couldn’t put his finger on it. His body has never felt this way before.

When Emery grabbed his duffle, the guy spun around and shoved her hands away from him. There was a moment where their eyes met, and Emery could see that he was almost terrified. So much so that Emery wasn’t sure if she wanted to even deal with this right now. She had a job to do, and this guy was going to screw it all up for her. Why did she have to run after him? It was probably her inner self wanting to help him when she probably shouldn’t care at all. They just stared at each other when finally he started asking her questions that she really couldn’t answer. She shifted her weight to her left foot and crossed her arms over her chest as he continued. “What are you talking about? Selena? I don’t know who the fuck that is, guy!” This guy didn’t listen to her though at all. He just kept talking. The word that caught her off guard was ‘brothers’.
”Wait, what?” As soon as he finished what he was saying, he turned and continued running again. She dropped her arms and continued tracking him. Now, things had changed. What other brothers would this guy be talking about? She had to get him to stop and talk to her. Maybe if she could find out more about this Selena girl that he had mentioned, she could figure out what was going on with the Trinity Brothers. “I’m not gonna hurt you!” As much as she kept trying to get through to him, he just seemed to run even faster. “Damnit, just chill out, will you!” When Emery caught up enough, she threw her leg out kicking across his ankles making him fall to the ground.
Emery caught her breath and leaned forward resting her palms on her bent knees. She glanced down and the surprise on his face said it all. This incubus had never met another one of his own kind before. “The feeling will pass with time. Feel like talking now?”

Thayer just felt he was tripped and crashed to the floor. He couldn’t believe it, why was this woman insisting on following him. He found it weird, but he also had this weird feeling since she stopped him earlier, a feeling he’s never had before. It worried him what that feeling may be, but he was more worried with who this woman was. He tried to crawl away a little but she was there and then he for some reason, he knew it, she was like him, he was at aw, not sure what to do or say. It caught him off guard but he did not know what to make of it. “Wait…you…you’re just like me”
He said it in disbelief. He slowly got up from off of the floor as he stood there, scared, amazed and just speechless. He couldn’t believe there was another being like him here, let alone on the same campus. His passed his hands through his hair and kept his hand up there, scratching his head. Trying to wonder what she wanted with him. Why she felt instinctive to follow him but most of all, why he felt so weird near her. “I…I…can’t believe it. You are just like me, why did you follow me”
Thayer just didn’t know what to make of it all. He was just confused he couldn’t believe that something else like him was in LA. “But why? When did you learn of your powers? Have you killed everyone you drained?” Thayer then stopped and looked down worried. He couldn’t stick around here anymore. He had to get out of here, but he also wanted to know more about this girl. “I…I…really need to go”. Thayer’s eyes filled with water and emotion as a single tear slowly glided down his right cheek. “I…I…did bad things here and I’m in a lot of trouble, I really need to go, they…they might just kill me”. Thayer had the urge to run away, but he also felt he couldn’t either. It was hard for him, he had no clue what to do.

”Ding, ding, ding. One point for the incubus!” She gave him a smile as he stood. It was strange finding someone like him that had never experienced that feeling of belonging. That was what it was really. It was only a feeling that occurred when you were around like individuals. And it didn’t become much use to her until he had mentioned the brothers. She knew then that this was an opportunity.
Emery watched as the he ran his hands through his hair. She could tell he was very confused and trying to gather the thoughts that he did have. It was probably a lot to take in especially with all of the other stuff he seemed to be dealing with which she still wasn’t sure about. But right now, the only way she was going to find out who this Selena chick was and where the brothers were was if she did a little bit of pretending. “Well, you came out of that building in quite the rush. And you didn’t seem like you were okay at all. Where I’m from, our kind sticks together.” She shrugged. “I had to make sure you were okay.” It was a lie, but he wouldn’t know that, and with as much as she lied, she doubted he’d find out either.
As the questions began to spew from his mouth, Emery wasn’t even sure which one to tackle first. “Wow, hold up private little investigator. I think we should probably start with names first don’t you? I’m Emery.” She held out her hand grabbing his without any hesitation and shaking it. She was almost positive he wouldn’t touch her because of the awkward feeling. He looked pretty freaked anyway. But when he looked down and told her he needed to go, Emery realized how truly scared he was. She let go of his hand and stared at him. It was time for a little pep talk. She knew she didn’t know him at all, but she wasn’t going to let this opportunity slip away. “Hey, these bad things you think you did, we all do bad things, okay? And whoever is trying to kill you? It’s not going to happen.” She smirked at him. “At least not with me around. Look, I’m new in town. Whoever this Selena girl is you mentioned, I’m guessing this is the woman who is trying to kill you. Guaranteed she won’t be looking for you at my place. You can come with for now, ask as many questions as you want, and we’ll figure out a move that doesn’t involve you running.” If she could just get him to come with her and talk to him where he’d feel a bit more comfortable, things would probably work out just the way she wanted them too.

She said her name was Emery, she seemed like one of those free spirits. Positive and willing to help him. Boy did he need the help, he was on Selena’s to kill list and had nowhere to run too. She said that she was new, it was obvious though, she had no idea who Selena was, but Thayer thought if he accepted her help, he’d have to tell her everything. But maybe she knew the things he did, she was like him, so she must have killed a person or two in her past. Or even more. Thayer wasn’t sure what to make of all of this but it certainly a lot to take on all at once. “Uhm…uhh…thank you I guess, but I really wouldn’t want to get you in trouble”
Thayer thought enough people has been caught in his life and has been in danger. Even his roommate Eli wasn’t home for a while, he probably got to close to Thayer, that’s why. Thayer felt like a walking death magnet but he kind of was. “My name is Thayer by the way sorry for all the questions and thank you for the offer, but you really should offer your help if you don’t know all that I’ve done”. Thayer knew she might have an idea of what he was going through but was it worth bringing in someone else in his screwy life? She volunteered he thought, so she must be a powerful succubus. Because, she seemed like she really didn’t fear helping Thayer.
“I’m not sure I should involve you. But you’re right; they wouldn’t be able to find me at your place”. Thayer felt a bit of relief. Having to talk to, he’s never had that before. Someone to truly understand him, he never had that before. Maybe she could help him after all, not with Selena and her band of thieves but with his ability, controlling it and maybe not kill so many people down the road. “So guess it’s off to your place we go?”

((((OOC: So, I’m thinking this would be Emery’s last post in this thread. I don’t know if you wanted to post back or not. Just let me know what you wanted to do, so I can move it to the archives if you wanted my post to be the last one. )))))
Emery watched him. She could tell he was still contemplating this whole thing. Of course he was though. Some random girl starts to follow him promising him help when she really didn’t know what the hell she was getting herself into. Yeah, that was something to worry about. After all, it seemed like the last thing he wanted was to add on to the bad things he’d done and get her killed. “I’m flattered by your concern, really, but I can take care of myself. We can take care of each other.”
She nodded when he told her his name. It was a name she’d never heard of before. He seemed like an okay guy, but he kept going on and on about the bad things that he had done. Emery was almost positive that it was a mix of killing, manipulating, and feeling bad for enjoying some of it all of which to her were the farthest thing from bad. She sighed looking down. “When I first became a succubus, there were things I did that I wasn’t proud of either.” She swallowed hard as memories of her past flowed through her thoughts. She could remember the small amount of draining that she did to Caleb to make him weak enough to start breaking him down, beating on him just like he had done to her over the years. The surprise on his face when the girl that he destroyed let him have what he deserved, all of the blood, the closure Emery needed to feel for so long. It was all there that night. She could remember going back home to see her coke head mother and the man that she was supposed to call step-father shortly after killing Caleb. She could almost feel the pleasure now when she gutted them like fish just like Caleb. She wanted that though. She wanted to kill all of them. And she did. And even though it was different, those first killings made her stronger and made her who she was today. Her eyes focused on the ground, and she noticed the tennis shoes of the guy in front of her. She must have zoned out. She glanced back up at him. Those things that she had done to the people that hurt her, in her eyes were not bad at all. They were amazing. They were revenge. Thayer on the other hand would think of them as horrible. But if she could make him understand the power and strength in being an incubus, maybe that would change. “Look, things happen that you have no control over especially as an incubus. There’s a lot of things that you don’t know about and a lot of control that you can have. And if you let me, I can help you that.”
Emery waited as he made his decision. When he agreed to go with her, she smiled. “Okay, good idea. Besides, campus life was so six years ago.”
