Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her heart pounding in her chest. Lelia was running for her life, for almost fifteen blocks now she had been fleeing, chased by a demon. She had no idea what she did to provoke it, but she wasn't going to stop to find out what he wanted. Panic stricken, she did the only sensible thing, run into a dark forest? The thought that she might be the dumbest person in the world crossed her mind as she passed the treeline, she could barely see three feet in front of her. "Awesome Lelia, run into a dark forest while be pursued by a nightmare creature.." she mummbled to herself as she wiped around a large tree trunk.
Luckily she would lose the demon on her trail almost immediately after, she tripped over a tree root, and made a straight drop down into a ditch. Upon landing the wind was knocked out of her, rendering her unconcious, but she was headed there anyway. The amount of drugs and alcohol in her system made it a miracle at all that she made it this far, no normal person would still be as functional as her. Laying there face down, Lelia slipped into her little "coma" until the sun rose in the sky.
Waking up in a panic, Lelia would shriek loudly, rolling over to make sure that no one was nearby. Blinking her eyes slowly, she looked up at the sky, covering her eyes with her hands. "Ugh." she groaned, feeling like she had been beaten into submission with a bat. When she was satisfied she was alone for now, Lelia scooted underneath the lip of the ditch, incase the demon came back, and pulled her cellphone out of her pocket. Eyes watering, she dialed the only number she could think of, hoping that it would be Merry that answered. "Pick up, please pick up I need.." she muttered.
Lelia's heart sunk when the answering machine picked up, she almost started crying hysterically. "Merry.. I don't know where I am. I'm in the woods somewhere, someone was chasing me. Can you please come find me? I need help.." she cried into the answering machine, closing her phone after it rudely beeped in her ear to signal the end of the recording. Wrapping her arms around her knees, she waited to see if she got a call back or Merry would find her with their magic. She was colder than she had ever imagined possible in L.A. due to the chilly morning air.

Merry picked up the reciever and put it to her eat, putting a stop to the voice mail and dialing Leilia's phone number, "Leila, its Merry. Don't worry. I'll activate the GPS on your phone and find you okay? I need you to stay put unless you think you're in immeadiate danger okay?" she said as she swapped over and pushed a few buttons on her smart phone while she talked to her cousin. She snatched up her purse and headed out the door with the quick ckick of boots echoing, locking the front door behind her.
"Are you okay apart from not knowing where you are? Do you need me to take you to the hospital?" she asked calmly trying to get the other woman to calm down and asses herself if possible. She tried to get Leila to calm herself, "Repeat after me, Leila, "The power of two shall heal me through." It was a simple spell and would help clear the fear from her mind and any immediate life threatening injuries.
She synched her GPS with her car and drove out to the forest. It wasn't in LA by any stretch, closer to San Bernadino truth be told, one of the few areas that had been replanted by the state the last time the Santa Anna's had burned the San Bernadino mountains. She parked her cat and pushed a button. Her GPS giving her directions to her cousin. "Leila, can you hear me?" she called.

Lelia was immediately relieved to feel her phone vibrating, quickly answering the call, she nearly broke out into happy tears now. "I never thought I'd be so glad to hear one of call me." she said, sniffling after the sappy line. It had been a long night, especially with the fall. She had no idea if she had broken anything or not so she chose not to move at all. "I won't. I don't know if he's still out there, I'm hidden in a ravine underneath the lip.." she said, her voice shaky as she looked up to the top of the ravine, there didn't seem to be anyone there. There was an explosion of emotion within Lelia, fear, angst, relief, and regret. When she saw Merry's face she knew that she would see the damage she caused.
"I think I'm fine, nothing feels broken. I haven't moved, but I fell from pretty high up. I'm lucky to be calling you at all.." she said, laughing softly as she choked back another wave of tears. She was acting like a little kid again, afraid of the mess she had gotten into herself, as always she was dragging someone else in to help her clean it up. Sighing, Lelia repeated the spell with Merry, but she couldn't focus on anything so she had no idea if it had even worked or not.
In the distance she could hear Merry's voice calling for her, but she was afraid to reply at first. What if the man was waiting just above her, waiting for her to make the mistake of revealing where she was. Deciding to suck it up, Lelia took a deep breath and screamed, "Merry I'm over here!" hoping that it would be heard. Grimacing as she tried to move her cold, stiff, and incredibly achey body to a standing position. Her head felt like it was splitting open, that seemed to be a common occurance in her mornings so far, she had to figure out how to be more careful.
"I'm down here in the ditch! Please tell me you brought a rope with you, the side is too steep and muddy!"

"Don't worry, honey. I'm on my way." Merry said gently in the phone as she put it on speaker phone and drove to the forest. She'd put some rope in the car when she'd heard the situation Leila was in, "You're a Lovelace, of course you're lucky. We're Irish." she smirked as she drove trying to get the young woman to laugh, "The powers that be look after their own Leila. Don't worry." she took the phone with her and made sure she locked the car from the remote in her hand.
It was a short hike before she saw the ditch and heard Leila's voice, "Hey honey I got some rope and gloves so we can haul you up without tearing up our hands with rope burns." she dropped a set of leather gloves and tied the rope to a tree to brace, "Sunny weather light as a feather. Sunny weather light as a feather." she chanted as she tried to ease her cousin's weight on the rope and tried to help her up. It took her a little bit but eventually Leila was over the lip of the ravine.
"There. Now lets get you home for a warm bath unless you think you need me to run you to the hospital?" Merry asked as she picked up a gray poncho from the pack she'd brought and passed it to Leila so she could wear it. "The car's not far." she said as she waited to see if her cousin needed anything. Reaching over to straighten the poncho she hugged her gently, "We missed you. Its so good to see you." there was no assumptions just acceptance. Merry didn't want to scare her away with any plans.

Lelia watched as Merry appeared at the top of the ditch, dropping her down a pair of gloves. She didn't waste any time moving toward them, though each step made her back hurt a bit. Sleeping on the hard ground made her incredibly stiff, though she was used to waking up in odd places by now. Sliding the gloves on, Lelia took hold of the rope, and pain stakingly dragged herself up the side of the ditch with Merry's help. It was slow going, it was starting to get warm, and she could feel the beads of sweat forming already. 'Ugh. I need to hit a gym more often' she thought to herself, taking a deep breath to steady herself.
Taking the grey poncho, she smiled at Merry, though her eyes showed that she was still weary of it all. Shaking her head, she coughed gently before looking away from Merry in shame. "Sienna might be there or come home while I'm there, can we just go to my place?" she asked. It was probably incredibly hurtful to openly admit that she was openly avoiding family, but she had her reasons, she just didn't measure up anymore. She couldn't look either of them in the eye anymore while she was like this, on the inside Lelia was ashamed of who she had become.
"Yeah.. missed you guys too.." she said quietly, holding it all back. She had to be stronger than this, the last thing she needed was a breakdown. The last thing she wanted to do was depend on anyone too much, that was a recipe for pain and suffering in her eyes. In fact she could have gotten Merry killed by having her come out here to save here, she was so stupid! Punishing herself mentally, Lelia followed Merry to the car and slid into the front seat. "Is she still out looking for me or has she given up?" Lelia asked suddenly, wondering what Sienna was up to but not having the heart to directly ask that question.
"Doubt she'll give up that easy.."

Merry clasped her cousin's hand and walked with her out to the car, "Sure we can head to your place, hon." she said as she clicked her seat belt. "Sienna's still looking for you." she confirmed as she drove and focused on the road.
"I can understand needing space to sort things out, Leila but you know we love you regardless right?" she said this carefully as she drove into the city and waited for traffic to let up and give her a chance to get some speed going. She exhaled, "I'll take you home and we can patch up anything that needs it." she admitted as she kept her gaze forward.
She wanted to ask all sorts of questions. Was she being safe? Was she using protection, did she use clean needles all the stuff that parents and family asked those who checked out for the streets. She wanted to know her cousin wasn't getting hassled or shot at. White girls in LA didn't always get treated right on the gritty streets. It really depended on what you considered your turf and what gang owned it.
Inwardly she sighed and bit her lip. "So...how are you? Its been a while. Sienna is doing okay. Tana and Tara came back from San Fran last week and Dad's got a hate going on with a guy I like." she bit her lip and flushed, "His name is Connor." she babbled for lack of anything else to say. "Dad acts like he's the worst person in the world." she sighed and glanced over at Leila to see if any of it really mattered or if she should just shut up and drive.

Once more she was relieved, Merry wasn't going to fight her on her choice. She honestly didn't believe she would, having known Merry for quite some time she was perhaps one of the most agreeable people Lelia knew. The only time Merry fought with you was when it was important and you were being stupid to the point that it was directly hurting herself or someone else. "Thank you, I just don't feel.. comfortable.." she said, too many memories attached to that place for her to deal with. The thought alone made her feel like she needed a drink. "I see.. I wish she would just stop for now. I don't see why she still cares so much.." Lelia muttered, obviously having no sense of self worth anymore.
"Yeah. It's just.. you guys don't deserve my mess." she said, she wanted to add on that she was just a coward but she didn't. She couldn't face the memories, she couldn't face Sienna, and more importantly she couldn't face herself. Every mirror in her apartment had been smashed by her first, there was actually a few scars from where the glass had cut her on her knuckles. Removing the gloves she used to climb, Lelia boredly looked out of the window as they drove. She gave Merry the address, though she had a serious expression on her face. "But please, you can't tell Sienna where to find me.. not now." she pleaded.
There was so much she should have said to Merry while they were right here, but no sound came out when she opened her mouth. Instead she played with the window controls like a small child, occupying her mind for a moment until Merry started speaking again. Her voice was the perfect distraction, it kept her from thinking about her life before now.
"I'm alright, besides this headache. Decent apartment, decent job. I get hit on by alot of jerks, but the pays alright." she said, shrugging her shoulders. She was relieved to hear that Sienna was fine though, living some sort of life despite Lelia not being a part of it. "Did she finally get the job she was after? I know it couldn't have been easy, what with chasing the renegade sister and all.." she trailed off, biting her lip. Lelia's eyes lit up though when Merry mentioned a boy.
"Ooooh. Little miss Merry has got herself a boyfriend huh?" she asked, grinning deviously. "How did you manage that one? Showing a little more leg now huh?" she teased, though she understood all too well. Robert had always been protective of Merry, this was probably even worse than normal. "He'll come around sometime, he can't hate every male that looks your way forever." she said, laughing. "He has to at least be nicer than some of the guys I take home. Uncle Rob would have a fit if he saw some of the men who hit on me." she said.
"If it counts for anything, I bet he's a pretty cool guy."

Nodding her chestnut curls Merry grimaced, "I get it. Dad's a bit odd. Its enough to make anyone climb the walls. 'Or out the window.' she thought to herself but said nothing. That would require explaining her little "Spider Monkey" escapades with Connor and if she got teased she'd probably die right there in the car. "You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. None of us are." she says to her quietly, "We don't expect you to be anything other than who you want to be, Leila." she added as she turned and drove down a street to find the apartment.
"Its not a mess, Leila but if you don't want me to pry I won't." Merry said gently, "You're way too hard on yourself. You always have been. Cut yourself some slack." she nodded at Leila, "Alright. I won't tell her, but if she asks me I'm not gonna lie. I'll tell her I ran into you. That's the best I can promise." It weighed on her to keep anything from Sienna but she was afraid Leila would bolt and destroy the life she was building. Baby steps were good.
"I'm glad you're doing good. And believe me if I have to deal with another winky wagger in the library I'm gonna scream so I totally get your issues. Dad would piss himself if he knew some of the things I get asked on a daily basis." she snorted and then smiled at the mention of Sienna, "She's doing alright. She got that position she wanted. Its hard work but she seems to like it." she informed her and nodded as she turned into the apartment complex that Leila lived in. "I think she's hoping you'll come back when you feel ready. She doesn't want to drive you off you know."
"He's not officially my boyfriend. He liked my blood type. He's a vampire, Leila. They didn't handle it well." she showed her hand to the blonde, the bite was faint but was still there. "He didn't mean to hurt me and drove me to get help. He's a nice guy but he's got his problems too. The need for blood is hard on him. I hate seeing him hurt so much." she looks at her and smiles, "He's cool. Just like you." she winked and nodded as she opened the door to the Camero, "So care to give me the tour to su casa?" she asked with a gentle smile as she grabbed her purse and made sure Leila had everything she needed before she locked the car with the churp of an automatic locking mechanism.

It was honestly all she knew anymore was how to kick herself, she spent the last few years doing it. It was surprising at all really that she had managed to put together some sort of life for herself here. In all of the other places she had stayed she did nothing but get into trouble, party, and almost pass out in the street on a nightly basis. The fact that she was getting herself together somewhat seemed like a victory for her, maybe even a small victory for Sienna. Though she was not sure in the long run what it all meant, even if she managed to get her life together, how could she bring her sorry butt home after all of this?
"Yeah, I get it. You guys are all super weird. I still don't understand this whole super forgiveness thing, is it a family power I didn't recieve?" she asked, raising a brow at Merry. She was almost serious, for some reason she was the only one out of the Lovelace bunch who seemed to be unable to deal with hardship properly, the only who couldn't forgive people for the things they did to her. She wasn't sure if she was alone, but she knew hatred, she fanned the flames. Lelia could never picture Merry actually hating anyone however.
Shaking her head at Merry, Lelia sighed. "You would make a half way decent guidance counselor you know? You don't pry, you listen, and you usually have helpful advice. I swear you're just like my mo-" she started, though she caught herself before she could finish her sentence. They were all so much alike that it hurt her just sitting here hearing it, it reminded her so much of what she had exiled herself from, what she had lost. Lelia's brow shot up though as if she had just registered what Merry had said.
"What do you mean Tara and Tana just came back? What are they up to?" she asked, as if she had forgotten what the two of them did. It felt like it had been that long, but she was more self absorbed lately, she gave little thought to anyone but herself and her sister. "Anyway, at least Uncle Rob doesn't have to worry about you much. You're not some party girl that jumps into bed with the hottest guy to say hello after a few drinks." she said, her face flushing a bit as if she was guilty of such a thing. Lelia nodded when she heard about Sienna, "Glad to hear she is doing alright. She almost caught me back in Seattle, probably would have side tracked her."
Stepping out of the car, Lelia looked over the top of it towards Merry blinking slowly. "A what now..?" she asked, as if she was in disbelief. Lelia had seen her share of weird things, even demons, but she had yet to actually encounter someone who claimed to be a Vampire. "If he bit you, maybe you should have.." she started, but then realized telling her to kill him was judgemental. She didn't want to be like Robert, Merry already had one of those, but she was a bit concerned. "Are you sure you can trust this guy if he can't trust himself?" she asked, turning and motioning to her door.
Turning the key, Lelia opened the door to her small one bedroom apartment. As one would expect it looked like a bomb had gone off inside of it, her clothes were absolutely everywhere. When you spent more time in clubs and strangers homes than your own this was the result. Pushing some clothes into a pile with her feet, Lelia made a bee line to the fridge, but then thought of Merry and fought back her most basic urge. "Uh, can I get you something to drink?" she asked, wondering if there was even anything in there besides Vodka.
"Sorry for the mess, I'm usually never home enough to clean up. I don't entertain alot.."

Merry tilted her head and sighed softly, "You are yourself. You don't have to step in line with the rest of the family you know. You're allowed to be an individual you know." she murmured as she ran a hand through her hair and looked at her cousin with understanding, "Hey I'm not all that goody two shoes. I am sneaking out at night with a vampire. I'm not going to point fingers at you."
When Leila mentioned her being cousilor material she smiled, "I'm happier as a librarian. Less chance of making a mistake." she admits as she heard Leila choke up. She nodded quietly, "I miss her too." she says softly. "Tana and Tera are working in a circus and have managed to do well with it. They miss you. Maybe you could peek in at some point?" keeping the suggestion light as she looks at her and chuckles softly. Her eyes bright as she thought about thinks she thought Leila might be willing to do.
Merry shook her head, "He's pretty adjitated with Connor. I think he's very worried. And seriously, with my dad do you think he would even let me think of having sex? Really?" she exhaled and shook her head "Sienna is smart. Eventually I think you will have to talk to her but it doesn't have to be till you are ready."
When she mentioned Connor she shrugged and smiled softly, "He made me promise to not let him get out of hand." she says gently trying to be descrete, "And its just...he makes me laugh and I haven't done that in a long time. Its just nice to be an individual you know? I get so sucked into everything as a group I like being me sometimes."
She walked into the apartment, "Don't worry about it. I barely have time to do my chores at times." she wasn't going to ruin the short amount of rapport with Leila over a messy house. "If you want I can come by every so often and help you out." she offered as she made her way carefully through the walkway. "A drink would be great." she admitted with a nod and tried to downplay the mess. She wasn't going to ruin the moment.

"Yeah, I know. I just wonder sometimes why I am the one who seems so different." she said, shrugging her shoulders. The different between all of them was noticeable, but she seemed to be the only Lovelace without the strength to deal with hardships. She ran away, that was something she couldn't stop thinking about, when the chips were down she backed out on everyone. Lelia chuckled at Merry though, shaking her head. "You're sneaking out with a vampire to do what? Nothing you would get in trouble for, I'm sure." she teased her cousin, it was true after all.
Shrugging her shoulders and nodding, she could understand the reasoning. Some people took their advice too literally, there was a good chance that Merry could end up ruining a life too. Lelia doubted that, but being in a position of authority wasn't for everyone either. "Well, at least I think you would do fine. Even if you're lacking on some experiances." she teased once more, grinning. Her smile faded though as Merry mentioned missing her mother, Tara, and Tana missing her as well. "A circus huh? I guess I need to get out more, never heard that, you figure I would have caught wind of something like that." she said pausing to think for a moment.
"Maybe. I just.. I wouldn't put too much hope in that thought for now." she said, not wanting to break their hearts when it didn't happen. "Regardless, it's your life. He should back off a bit or else you'll end up a sheltered shut in by the time you're forty." Lelia said, only half serious. She felt that maybe he didn't place enough faith in them to look after themselves, though with their family massacred she couldn't entirely blame him either. "He's going to have to get used to the fact that it's going to happen." she said, before moving to the cabinet. Taking out a cup, she sighed as she opened her fridge. "Yeah well, hopefully I'm smarter then, so the doesn't find me until then." Lelia said, sounding sort of cold.
A clanking sound came from her fridge as she shifted the bottles of alcohol around, trying to reach some juice she saw in the back. "Promise or not, do you think you could stop him if he wanted to eat you? I would be prepared to do what you have to do." she said, her street instincts kicking in. She was no stranger to fighting back and if she had to she could cross the line into hurting someone to save herself. Handing Merry the cup, Lelia quickly shifted all the clothing off of her couch into a basket, standing back to look at it. "I can understand that though, you never did get much time to yourself." Lelia said, notcing a bra hanging from her TV.
"Don't worry yourself about me, I got it covered. Just a rough couple of weeks." she said, reaching into a drawer and removing some pills for her head. Taking them, she plopped down on her couch for a moment, staring at the wall in thought. "No one's tried like.. scrying for me have they? I did my best to shield my apartment but.. I'm not exactly witch of the year.."

Merry clucked her tongue gently and shook her head, "You are way too hard on yourself. You just need to take things one step at a time." she said as she listened to Leila, "I'm not doing anything with Connor. We just go out. I can't even call it dating cause he's just enjoying seeing the world a bit. I don't think he's gotten out much since he was turned."
She sat down in a cleared space and watched her cousin, "I won't tell them anything. If you make it by it will be a surprise." That was the only way she could manage to balance the issues that Leila had with the other twins. "I promised Connor that if he got out of hand I'd do what I needed to to protect myself. I'm not so naieve that I think he won't hurt me if his urges get to be too great." she said quietly as she looked over at the blonde woman and blushed, "Leila I realize that but honestly I'm so far from having sex with anyone that I can see why he'd have a hard time with the idea. I mean I don't even know if Vampire's can HAVE sex. Not something you just ask someone you don't know.." she admitted as she took a drink of the juice she got handed.
"I don't think they've tried scrying for you. Sienna just got her job and has been settling in and the twins just got back from San Francisco." she murmured as she took another sip of juice, "Leila, honey...why are you so down on yourself? We've never said you weren't good enough or that you didn't do things as well as the rest of us. I don't understand why you're so hard on yourself." she rose and set the glass down, "At the risk of sounding pushy why don't you go grab a nice long soak in the tub and I'll see about making us something to eat. You've taken a tumble and it will help."

Lelia seemed to visibly relax after she sat down, a smile even coming to her face. Her mood would start to pick up from here on, her headache fading into obscurity. Laughing quietly, she shook her head at Merry as she patted the seat next to her. "I'm hard on myself because I was an idiot. Here I am, still being one right in front of you." she said through gritted teeth. It was hard for her to stay in this mood however, her body was starting to go back to feeling better once more, especially after the events of last night. "That's what I meant by teasing you. You won't do anything, and I would really call it sneaking. You're old enough to make your own choices." she said, shrugging.
Relaxing to the point where she looked like a lazy bum, Lelia sprawled out a bit where she sat. "Good. I'd rather not have them kicking down my door, somehow I doubt they would agree with my terms. They would all probably all be up in arms, ready to drag me home." she said, sighing and laughing quietly to herself. Somehow that image was funny, yet terrifying at the same time. She was not ready to deal with it, not everyone was going to be as encouraging and nice about it as Merry she figured. They would all have something to say and once it was said she would probably run off again. Glancing over at Merry she held out her hand, "Give me his number, I'll ask him! Hahaha." she said, teasing her cousin again.
She was pleased to know that hadn't been using magical means to track her, though she wondered then how Sienna got so close. They were twins however, she could just as easily channel Lelia at times as Lelia could her. Even across the distance Lelia sometimes felt like she could feel what Sienna was feeling and it was heart breaking. Though it could have also been guilt amplified by the illegal substances she placed into her own body. "You don't have to say it, that's just how I feel alright." Lelia snapped, she was always testy afterwards when she felt herself crashing. "Everyone else got over it and I stormed off like a damn child. Look at me, I'm a mess!" she snapped, before storming off to the bathroom.
It was easy to tell that she was just angry with herself, she didn't really mean to yell at Merry like she did. Reverting back to her sad self, she started weeping again as she turned on the shower. Standing under the water for awhile, she thought about the fact that Merry was here trying to take care of her and she was basically telling her to tell no one she was okay and to go away. Sighing, she spit out the water that was in her face, turning off the shower. She didn't really realize it, but she was in there for almost twenty minutes, time flew when you were thinking.
Opening the bathroom door, Lelia walked across the apartment as if she had forgotten Mery was there, but the truth was she just wasn't shy. "Good luck finding anything in there to eat." Lelia called to Merry, remembering that she hadn't been shopping in awhile, though there was probably something in there.

Merry shrugged, "Yes, well it would be a rare person who could put up with Tana, Tara and my dad." she smirked and relaxed. She was glad Leila seemed to be calming down, it made things much easier to deal with. Then the grumpieness kicked in. Had to hate drug crashes. They made everyone bitchy and just not nice to be around. "You're welcime to call Connor and ask him if he can have sex. I'm sure he'll get a kick out of it." she smirked and offered her phone, "I dare you you know it would be the best prank phone call ever." she grinned and her eyes twinkled as she sat back.
Then Leila snapped and stalked off. Merry opted to clean the house and put some soup on to boil. There wasn't much to eat it was true but Merry did manage to get the laundry sorted into piles and loaded into the washer by the time Leila pranced out naked. Through a process of trial and error those clothes that weren't dirty were neatly folded in a basket. The bra having been removed from the television and put in the delicates pile. Merry dished up the soup into two clean bowls and put them down next to the place settings. Just spoons and paper towels really but Merry wasn't picky.
"Hungry?" she asked as she looked up and made sure the burner was turned off for the stovetop. "I didn't think you'd mind soup." she added for lack of anything to say.

Coming out of the bathroom, Lelia noticed that Merry did some cleaning while she was in there. Blowing air into her face, she moved the wet hair from her eyes as she found something to slip into. She felt bad for being so pissy with Merry, however she also couldn't bring herself to say she was sorry either. It was another one of her biggest flaws, that word just didn't really work for her sometimes unless she was worked up. Deciding to take Merry up on her offer however, she found Merry's phone but instead of calling she sent Connor a text. It made her laugh on the inside, since he would assume it was Merry who sent it, she didn't bother stating otherwise.
"I can always eat, you know me." she said, smelling the aroma of soup in the air. Merry was pretty resourceful, the cupboards were almost bare as it was, she had only just gotten paid today. "I'm surprised you found food in this place. I haven't been to the store in a few days." she said, peeking into the bowl. She wasn't picky, nor did she even bother to figure out what sort of soup it was. Instead she just picked up the spoon and started to shovel it into her face like she had never eaten before. Sometimes she lacked proper manners, something she was taught but over the years she kind of ignored.
"While I was in the other room I sent your boyfriend a text. Hope you don't mind, I asked him." she said, there was a smirk on her face. She definitely wanted to see Merry's face when she realized that Lelia most likely didn't say who the text was from. Looking at Merry for a moment, she opened her mouth as if to say sorry, closed it, and wrinkled her nose. Instead she shoved more soup in her face to keep herself from looking stupid as she lacked anything comforting to say about her little scene.
"Still work at the library then? Always figured you would have become a singer or something." she said, looking up at Merry as her face hovered only inches from her bowl. She ate soup like a four year old, but it didnt bother her, just the mess she made around her bowl on the table.
