It was night as Daryl had his hands stuffed away in the pockets of his jacket as his footsteps at least sounded softly on the pavement as he kept walking. It hadn't taken him long at all to track down who he had bitten and actually turned over two months ago when he didn't have control of himself and the thoughts going through his mind at that exact time, which caused him to attack and turn the girl that had caught his attention so quickly, that he even now couldn't get fully out of his mind, and even more so because of how he couldn't forgive himself for turning her into a werewolf and then not doing something about it, especially since the attacks he had been reading and hearing about from papers, people and the news on TV.
Still he had kept himself hidden away back at home, at work, not really doing something about it, afraid of her reaction of him once she found out, but eventually he decided that for one he could just keep an eye on her when he really found her without her knowing it, and if that didn't succeed because she already had too good senses already, he could just try and hide the fact that he was a werewolf, or better said, the werewolf that put her life up side down and then around and around for a few times he could imagine.
Daryl of course didn't want to scare her or come over as some creep, but he eventually found Shannelle as he had soon enough found out her name was, as she was walking along the streets and alleys even too, not really sure where she was going to, but at least he saw her again this way, at least he was following her now and keeping an eye out, especially since it was night and all that, but he had to admit he carelessly enough didn't even know if it had already been a full moon or not. He kept a good distance behind her, but good enough to be able to smell her and see her clear enough to not lose her suddenly. He just didn't know how to approach her, especially in these dark places. He eventually partially bumped into something on the ground with his foot, making it tumble someone across the ground, but kept walking while biting his lip and preaching to himself in his head as he hoped she didn't notice, or at least if she did he didn't freak her out instantly.

It was totally not hard for Shannelle to notice she was being followed. Not since she was way more on guard, since.. well, two months ago, where her life basically went to hell. The attacks she had caused, only proved this more and more and it totally sucked. More in the sense of words than anything else anyway.
Work had been awesome today, because she might get the chance to become a cashier in the future, instead of just being a shopgirl. That hadn’t changed at all. Her want to work and get some money in her pockets to use when she wanted to go to a club or something like that. It was exactly the reason why she was here on the streets anyway.
She suddenly heard a sound and stopped walking. ”You know,” she started, while turning around, ”you could keep following me or just start telling me what the hell you want from me.” She said, as her eyes flickered dangerously and most of all, showing that whoever it was, had gotten her close to pissed off.

Daryl soon enough noticed how Shannelle obviously already knew of his presence as soon as she responded to the thing he had bumped into with his foot just a few seconds ago and the way how she did that by stopping in her tracks and staying where she stood. This was going to get tricky, and not the funny or interesting kind, this was going to be pretty difficult and awkward.
Daryl looked at her as she started talking and then turning to look at him, for a second not having any words to say because of her presence and appearance still getting to him a little, since it was the first time actually looking at her since he attacked her and since he found her again, before this he just looked at her back, that made it a whole lot easier.
He bit his lip as she continued by saying that he could keep following her or just start talking, but talking about what? If she was going to be too paranoid or pissed at him, it could be quite the problem to hide the fact that he was a werewolf too, the werewolf that sired her nonetheless. He looked at her and then cautiously put a few small steps towards her, also so she could get a better look at him and he smiled slightly trying to show that he had no hostile intentions at least. 'Take it easy, I was just out on partrol...' He started explaining as he pulled out his badge and held it up for a moment, thinking it was the best solution to not have to go to the whole werewolf subject. 'I noticed you walking here alone through these dark alleys and streets, and there's still enough crime around here, so I was just taking a detour and making sure you were safe.' He said, hoping that it actually sounded as believable as he thought it did.
He was still hoping she wouldn't notice his slight nervousness about the truth that he knew was out there and she didn't, and a part of him still wanted to tell her already, but especially with how close she was to actually getting pissed off, he thought that would be a very unwise thing to do if he wanted to have any form of contact with her after this, which he did really want, otherwise he wouldn't have tracked her down in the first place and come here when he found here and gathered enough guts to actually do something about it.

Shannelle didn't like it. She didn't like it one bit and while her insides screamed for her to start running, her mind told her to thread carefully and look at the guy's plan and what exactly it was that he wanted. Whatever that was, anyway. She narrowed her eyes, as she looked at the guy in front of her. ”Just on patrol? Sure, that makes it so much less suspicious.” She told him, as she kept looking at him, almost ready to attack him, if necessary and not caring one bit about the fact he may be a cop. She just.. didn't buy his story one bit and wasn't easily going to, if it was up to her, at all.
She shrugged slightly and as lightheartedly as possible, while keeping her guard up and her hands clenched to fists. ”I'm fine. I know these streets and I can defend myself.” Yes, she could now. "So, thanks, but no thanks." She said, before starting to walk again. If she could get away, she could go to campus, where Kyra was, hopefully.

It didn't take much for Daryl to notice that Shannelle felt anything but comfortable with him around her and the situation that was continuing to be kind of awkward and difficult to handle. When she narrowed her eyes he kept looking at her as calmly as he could with how nervous all of this made him feel, not good to say the least, but kept his expression pretty calm if he said so himself. 'Well I would think that knowing I'm a cop and not some creepy criminal following you would make you feel better.' He remarked as he shortly frowned somewhat and then sighing shook his head. This was all but going to be easy, and if this was going to continue this way, he would have to tell her sooner than later anyway because if he screwed this up too much, it would only be near impossible to get to know her and all that.
Daryl's eyes went down for a moment as he looked at her clenched hands to fists and bit his lip before looking at her again, being happy that even if she would attack him anyway, he would most likely be able to pin her down quickly enough if he had to because she was newer to all this and her reflexes and stuff than he was, so hopefully that would give him the advantage if necessary. 'Look, you might know these streets and no offense, but look at yourself, if you aren't a very tempting target for some creepy criminal, you will be for whatever was or even is responsible for those attacks recently, so why so defensive?' He kept trying to ask innocently as he just started following her when she started walking away, taking a risk with that but it would hopefully be worth it. 'I don't think you can't handle yourself, that's not for me to judge, but would you rather have m take a risk with your well being?' He tried asking innocently too and kept hiding his nervousness as good as possible.

"Honestly? No, it doesn't.. Not really." Shannelle admitted with a shrug, as she looked at the man in front of her. Him saying he was a cop, didn't mean he really had to be one, right? She sighed and looked at the air for a moment. "If you really are a cop, show me your badge." She then said, before looking back at him, with an expectant twinkle in her eyes, telling him, she wasn't going to be fooled very easily.
When she saw him looking at her hands, she realized he knew what she was planning and thus, she forced her muscles to relax again and close her eyes, for the briefest of moments, before opening her eyes again and looking back at him. "Right there, you've got your answer." She said, as she refused to bring it all up agian and make her look like a fool and a victim and she refused to be a victim again. She had just been able to pick the pieces of her life back up and so, she refused to let his words get to her. "I don't want your help. Now LEAVE ME ALONE." She then shook her head and made her way across the street. 'Why can't you just get the message here? Why are you so adament on helping me anyway?"

Daryl looked at Shannelle as he heard how she said that it honestly didn't make her feel any better or safer and he shook his head with a sigh and for a moment pinched his nose in slight frustration for how this was going. 'So much for making people feel safer when you're on the force.' He mumbled mostly at random because of it before lowering his hand and looking back at her again. When she eventually said that if he really was a cop he should show his badge, he rolled his eyes for a moment but then pulled his badge out and put a step forward as he kept the badge up in a very clear way for her to see. 'Look, I'm really an LAPD detective, cop, however you want to call it, you want to feel if its really or something?' He asked her as he pulled his eyebrows up for a moment but then biting his lip and calming himself down as good he could from feeling helpless that he couldn't make this go any better.
Daryl kept looking at her a bit trying to figure out how or what was going through her head at that moment as he saw her relax the muscles in her hands and close her eyes even for the briefest of moments. When she opened them up again and he heard her answer which said that he got his answer to his question, ,he rolled his eyes again and shook his head as he looked away. When she said to leave her alone and that she didn't want his help, he did consider for a moment leaving her alone, but eventually made the decision to not give up that easily and walked after her when she started making her way across the street. 'Listen, I know you're saying that, and maybe think you don't need help, but I'm really trying to help here! It's just a little difficult to just blurt it out.' He tried explaining again, even though he himself though it sounded as a pretty lame attempt again.
When he finally heard her question as she kept walking why he didn't get the message here and why he was so adamant on helping her anyway, he bit his lip and quickened his pace of walking for a moment until he was right next to her and looked at her at the same time. 'Because I'm responsible! Because whatever might happen to you or around you, it's probably my fault!' He said as he looked at her, getting somewhat desperate of how he was going to do it and feeling more and more willing to just come clean completely and tell her the truth about himself, if she didn't figure it out from his word already somewhat, hopefully she at least didn't see it as a threat, because that was the last thing he meant it as and fortunately his eyes didn't show any signs of violence or threatening looks or something like it.

”Sorry to disappoint you, but you're whole behavior doesn't really make me feel safer.” Shannelle said, as she glared at Daryl and clenched her hands to fists, as if she wanted to hit him, which was an urge she could ever so easily ignore. When he showed her his badge, she looked at it, before sighing and lowering her guard ever so little. ”Fine. I believe you.. On the being a cop part.”
Shannelle placed a hand on her neck, as if to massage it, as she attempted to walk away again, before freezing on the spot. ”What?” She asked, as she slowly turned back around and took a few steps toward him. ”Say that again. Blurt WHAT out?”
When the word was out, she was so shocked, that she just stared right up at him and then she shook her head as she took a step backward. ”You did this to me? You made me into.. Into..” She shook her head. ”Stay away from me.” She said, as she took a few steps back.

Daryl opened his mouth, about to say something to Shannelle's words about his behavior not really making her feel any safer first made him bite his lip and look slightly away downwards and sighed. 'I can't really explain why I'm behaving like this, not without making things worse.' He tried to explain her as he smiled in a weak attempt while looking at her again. When she at least agreed that she believed him about being a cop, that was a step, but really not a big one, not with all the corrupt cops these days.
Daryl looked up now for a moment, quickly letting his brain work out the best possible answer it could think of and trying to prevent further damage for how badly this was going, but if any other situation or time would have been better? With how suspicious it would look anyway and especially how bad it would be once she knew who he actually was. When she froze on the spot as he was following her now he stopped in his tracks too and kept looking at her as she asked him what and turned around slowly to walk a few steps toward him and he sighed. 'That I can help you, but you can't really know with what without freaking out even more...' He tried explaining before biting his lip, deciding it wasn't really that good of an answer to begin with at all. 'But don't tell me that I'm not right, that there is a part of you that needs help, that WANTS help with something?' He asked but mostly pretty determined about that being the truth.
As the words had come out Daryl was instantly slapping himself inwards and even punching himself, especially with the shocked look on her face as she took a step backward and shook her head, only made him have a painful sting in his chest of realizing how she would look at him now... As her questioning words drew through his mind, he bit his lip and painfully nodded in honesty then, seeing no point in lying anymore. 'Yes...' He said, not really saying the word either, not really saying the point in it. As she shook her head, told him to stay away from him and then took a few steps backward again, Daryl was about to step toward her again but then obviously stopped and stayed where he was as he looked at her full of guilt now that it was out already. 'Look... This isn't how I wanted to let it come out... I know what you think, but I'm not like that... I didn't do it on purpose, I saw you a few times before the transformation and I wasn't home in time and with you on my mind it just... Took over from there.' He tried a bit desperately now because of the way this was going but not wanting to give up. 'But I can help you, I know how that sounds but... There are still enough things.. He said before he lowered his somewhat risen arms in a weird physical attempt to come over as honest as he was. 'I never meant to hurt you, to turn you into this..'
