It was just past midnight. The moon was in full view as it floated above in the heavens. . Full moon at that. By this time at night the animals were out and about, finding their next game to play. Kai at the moment was standing on the ledge of the building that stood right across from his beloved bar. Bloodlust. It was settled deep in L.A. In the more darker part of the city. Not exactly an area were you would catch most people of the world. It was were a lot of vampires and demons come here just to have a good time. On occasion humans come of their own accord. Mostly to find a vampire who would be willing drink from them. There were actually humans a got a kick out of it. Of course there were other...pleasures....that the humans would offer. Kai only had one rule. No human would be killed in or around his bar. If a vampire took their human home and ripped their head off then so be it but not in his place. Thankfully, all those who came respected that one rule which helped business run smoothly.
After so many years of running this bar, Kai had gotten to the point where he wouldn't have to be there every night. He could take off a couple days here and there. His employees had his number if anything ever came up that needed his presence. As he walked back and forth on ledge the air was still and cool. It was quiet. Kai took in some air and then sighed. As if he really needed oxygen. Kai then a step forward and landed perfectly on the ground. Fixing himself up he walked towards his beloved bar and went in. Inside, it was a full house. Some vamps drinking on a few humans. As long as they kept the place clean he didn't care. He walked behind the bar nodding to one of his employees. He looked over the drinks to make sure they were stocked up. Then he grabbed a grabbed a glass and poured himself some bourbon.

Jayla walked into the bar that was called 'Bloodlust' and made a face at the vampires drinking from humans, as that really was a sight she hoped to not have to see very often. She had heard about this club from a fellow vampire she had met and decided to check it out instantly. So, here she was, looking like a lost puppy in a crowd of bloodsuckers.
She however, didn't really show she wasn't at ease at all and let her eyes wander further, before going to the bar and sitting down. She was labeled as a demon, even if she wasn't, so, let's not pretend to be human here, she scolded herself, seconds before putting up a smile, that was actually bright enough and more like the old Jayla. “Do you have anything that doesn't require blood?” She asked casually to the bartender, as she leaned backwards and looked at the people in it.
Her pink tunic shirt, gave her the innocent edge she had been looking for that night and her black ripped pants, made it look more tough, so she was looking like she was really contradicting both ways to look at her, let's just see how everyone else here thought of her.

Kai drank the bourbon in an instant. It was good after feeding. After that he went back to make sure that the bar was all stocked up. Couldn't run a bar without drinks now could he? Everything seemed settled in the drink section. Then he decided to got count the money in the register. Through all he was doing customers were coming and going. He didn't pay much attention to them since he had employees to take care of them. Right now he just cared about counting the money. Once that was done he closed the register as another customer came in. A blonde woman. He didn't recognize her as one of his regulars. He was always welcoming new customers, it was good for business after all.
She came up and sat at the bar and Kai just leaned over to see what she wanted. He smiled at her comment. "I promise not everything we sell has blood in it." He said turning around decided to get the girl a martini together. When it was done he placed a napkin in front of her and then placed the cup on top of that. "Since you're obviously new I'll give the pretty lady the first drink on the house."

Jayla let her eyes wander once more and looked at the guy who was apparently the owner or one of the managers anyway, by the looks of it. She waited patiently for someone to answer her question. When the guy she had been looking at, did, she smiled and leaned forward a bit, to have a better look at him. ”So, most of it does?” She asked teasingly at the guy’s promise.
When he got her a martini, she sat back again and smiled gratefully, as he put the martini on a napkin. ”You have a good memory.” She noted then in a complimentary fashion. She then took a small sip and looked at him again. ”I heard from this place, from a friend and thought it was worth checking out.” Especially since she was new to the neighbourhood.

Kai just smiled at the girls humor. It was partly true. Considering that the majority of the customers were vamps he did have a healthy stock of blood for any of their needs. The good thing about vamps was that they could have "human" food as long as they kept a healthy feeding habit. Which worked for Kai since there was a lot food that he thoroughly enjoyed and hadn't ever tasted until after he had become a vampire.
She then commented on his memory in which he took pride in. "It definitely helps when catering to others in different ways. Has always worked to my advantage." his memory had always been a very useful tool in the past and he took pride in it. "Well you're friend has good taste. Are you a local to L.A. or a newbie?" he asked casually. That was when he noticed out of the corner of his eye a few of the vamps that were feeding of humans. "Hey!" he said to get their attention. "You want to continue this? Take it to the back. And don't forget the rules." he said sternly. The vamps listened very well and did as they were told. The remaining customers just continued on with their conversations. "Sorry for the show. I try to get keep the more...unattractive things about the place hidden as to not scare away the customers."
