Daryl kept looking somewhat up at Cassie as he had told her about wanting dessert while still enjoying the taste he had from the food he had just eaten. When she said that she might have the perfect dessert in mind for him he smiled and nodded and was just about to say that it sounded good, but before he could she already excuses herself and walked off, clearly toward the kitchen. He only followed her with his eyes for a second and then smiled while slightly shaking his head. 'Lovely.' He said quietly in himself, but he didn't mean it as mocking Cassie it was just... he was for now actually enjoying himself, and even though she was kind of strange, she was still cheerful and that automatically cheered him up somewhat too.
So Daryl started texting one of his pack back at his home if everything was still okay and it didn't take even a minute before he got the message that everything was pretty surprisingly calm, even though except for Daryl everyone was even at home already. He smiled as he had just texted back again and looked up at Cassie once she was back,before looking down at the saucer and the apple pie and smiling. 'It looks great, thanks.' He said before looking surprised with a smile when she said that he didn't have to worry and that it was on her. 'Just the apple pie I take it?' He asked with a laugh, just wanting to make sure because he didn't want all of his dinner to be on her expense after all. 'But thanks, I'm sure I will enjoy it a lot, even more now.' He said thankful and showing his appreciation for what her as he meant it and looked at her for a few seconds longer before looking at the piece of apple pie and then starting to eat it.
He couldn't take too long to finish it, but he could at least take some time to enjoy it and then just pay the rest of the check and leave. He could use some sleep too, hopefully for one night since that day two months ago having one of those exception nights when he didn't have a dream or better yet nightmare about what he had done to Shannelle, and the reaction he could only expect from her once she knew that it was him, that he was the one that had almost completely turned her life upside down and almost ruined it for her, if she didn't see it as completely even... He shook it off, smiled weakly deciding to just not think about that yet, and started eating the rest of the apple pie and clearly enjoying how delicious he found it.
