Cassandra, often called Cassie was new to the US, hired last week as a waitress. She was no poor girl but she would prefer to earn her own money from now on. She changed bank accounts and no longer uses the one money randomly gets put on ever month. She was happy to be earning her own money. It made her feel proud and independent. How she usually liked feeling. The stronger she stayed the less people saw of her alters in her mind. Multiple personality disorder is a bit too much. Especially when one of her alters is a middle aged Texan who loves shooting. But it was her first week on the job and the tips were pretty good. All she had to do was put on a smile and her British accent was enough to charm a few guys into getting more tips.
She found herself suddenly thinking about rainbows again. And how colorful they were and how the colors neatly aligned out of nowhere and how beautiful sight it was. Cassie was a thinker that was for sure. Always lost in her thoughts, though it is what makes her feel safe. She ran away from a world of supernaturals and things she couldn’t explain. Though they killed her parents and she has no idea what it was, she vowed to herself to get as far away as possible but if she would put a bullet through their head. Charming thought she thought to herself. Right between the eyes, supernatural’s caused her pain and a parentless life but revenge wasn’t going to be an option, neither was seeking them but if they ever found her, she would show no mercy.
And again, she was lost in her thoughts all over again but she noticed someone walking in, a lone diner, that’s new, she usually met couples and families but rarely lonely people dining, but she understood, some people like being alone. She took her notebook and her pencil and walked towards the table. She wondered was that table seven or was it table eight, she wasn’t sure, so she assumed it was eight, either way it wasn’t a busy night so she couldn’t get to mixed up, though maybe it’s time she learned the table numbers though. “Hello, welcome to the Golden Cuisine, I'm Cassandra your waitress for the night, are you ready to order or would you like me to tell you our specials of the day?”

To dine alone, that's little miss Jace. Her blonde locks flicked forwards in the cool air outside, letting out a raspberry of chillyness as she stepped into the warmness of the restaurant. It was amazing in there, and that was just the temperature. She had heard some crazy theory that when the seasons change, so does the temperature. Obviously this blonde was mistaken. Taking the scalf off from around her neck, she finally caught the attention of the place. A little Asian restaurant; made her feel right at home. She remembered that once a week, it might have been every Thursday from memory, Jace and her mother would go to the local sushi bar in Miami and pig out on truck loads of raw fish. Those were the times, and back then at least she knew she wouldn't ever be eating alone. But this loner was subjected to not clicking with anyone at college. It was horrific. At least at high school she didn't have many friends, but at least she had some.
Healed boots trotted as she walked passed the threshold and on the way to find a table. What caught her eye was the fact that every table was occupied by a couple, or friends, or families. Everyone, excuse the loser while she finds a seat to stuff her face at. Luckily she had enough money at the end of this week to have something nice. She was openly excited, and smiled slightly at the smell of asian food and the sight of a free table. Inconvieniently a table with 'two' seats. No need for the second, but as she sat she quickly spun to listen to the waitress. Quite the address if she could say. She listened to the girl, bright curious eyes looking at her as she pondered.
''Specials? Why not? Special me up''. She said with a tired smile. She may feel like a zombie but a girl has to eat. But looking around again she saw the couples and associates all happy and together. Jace's sense of belonging now felt a lot more minimal. Crossing her arms, she looked up at the waitress. ''Thanks - - Why not '', She smiled at the waitress. A really positive waitress by the way. But there was still something. Jace couldn't put her finger on it. It wasn't a darkness, but as he hand moved closer to the waitresses there energies crossed over. It was like a rainbow of shadows going through this girls entire body. What was this?

As the girl smiled at Cassie, Cassie couldn’t help but notice the girl scouting the place but she wasn’t about to find out why. She was too busy trying to remember the special. She know she learned it earlier in the day, she said it about five times today, not completely correct but enough to know it a little by now. “Well our special today is Wok Stirred Noodles…..no wait, stirred Shanghai Noodles with Crab and…..no wait with Shrimp haricots Verts. Yes, that’s it….lovely”.
Cassie felt stupid, she completely messed it up again. She thought about how she would be fired tonight for sure, then she randomly drifted away, thinking about the calm serenity of the ocean. Then she stopped herself from going off track again and tried to stay focus. She just couldn’t help herself sometimes going deep in thought. “Oh…wow…Sorry”. Cassie paused a bit before continuing her conversation. “Oh wow…Is that scarf yours….lovely”
She stared at the scarf, wondering it’s story then she wondered how this scarf came to be then how it made it's way to this girl and then what is this girls story. She wondered if this girl was dining alone or if she was waiting on someone. Cassie swore this girl couldn’t have been a day older than her. She then wondered if this girl has ever been in love. Then the idea crossed her mind that this girl was hot. But she just figured that was her alter “Chuck” in her head who probably wanted to come out. That pervert, but she must now stop thinking. She would look crazy, well the non medical kind of crazy. “Will you be dining alone miss? Or are you waiting on someone?”
Cassie smiled at the young woman as she looked at the menu. Then she quickly remembered she should have handed over the menu as well. “Oh wow….forgot, here is the menu, just in case you might want something to drink or something other than the special” Cassie handed over the menu and kept her smile on her face.Smiling was part of the job she assumed. Really worked though, since she’s been getting good tips all night but her jaw, damn it hurt.

OOC: Hope it's not too late for me to still join in xD
It had been quite the week again for Daryl at work, let alone the other stuff back at home and around his werewolf life that kept playing next to everything. It wasn't like he couldn't handle it, it was more that he just wondered why it had to be so much of everything at once always when it got busy for him. Still he had a night off from work at least so he decided to instead of ordering something to eat or making something very simple for himself, he would go out to get something a lot better to eat.
He stepped through the front entrance and quickly scanned the room around him, quickly noticing that he was only one of the two people now inside her and getting a table that was actually alone, where as the rest were at least friends, couples or colleagues, but he didn't have that much friends back at work, he mostly kept things as professional as he could back there. After noticing how he was still looking around the room like a crazy paranoid person, he smiled slightly because of himself and then walked to an empty table, taking a seat on one of the chairs there and slightly looking to his side to the table not far from him where the other solo person was sitting and making her order.
At least there were still lovely ladies around here, that was a definite plus, and even though his head was still mostly focused on someone else still after more than two months, it didn't stop him from noticing how good other ladies looked, it was almost one of his hobbies after all, and after all he just saw it as a compliment towards them, nothing sexual or objectifying about it in his opinion. As he sat on his chair he leaned backwards, and automatically without that much to do at that moment without a menu or something, he started looking around, analyzing partially how some of the couples or other people were but especially what they were eating, trying to get an idea from that what he should take.

Cassie was a bit worried she didn’t come off insane. Why did she make that remark about the scarf. It was lovely though, but did she need to say that? Cassie knew she was weird and that she had three other people living in her head. But at times they seemed more normal than her. Cassie took out her pen and her paper and got ready to write down any order this woman may want to take. But she was suddenly distracted. This guy walked into the restaurant. He was a good looking bloke. He was scouting the place a bit. Boy was it a busy night but there were a few empty tables luckily. She couldn’t help but not look at him, she was mesmerized by him as he confidently carried himself. Cassie had a real fancy for confident men.
She tried to look away and quickly looked down at her stationary but she couldn’t help but glance at him every chance she got while standing there. Though only a few seconds have passed it seemed like she glanced at him over a hundred times. She couldn’t help herself. And just her luck, he sat down in her section. How lucky was she, now if she could remember the table number would be really handy right now. But she tried to focus at what the woman was telling her. She heard her vaguely. She turned her attention quickly back to the woman. “Pardon miss? Oh wow..I'm sorry i think my mind just wondered off on me”. Of course she didn’t, she was too busy focusing on this guy. She couldn’t wait to get this woman’s order down to make her way towards the guy’s table. She was lost in her thoughts again, this time not about scarves and where they came from or what it’s story was but about this guy and what is his story. Guess she liked stories she thought to herself.

This was really different. Like extremely different. Not once when her and her mother went out to an asian restaurant were they waitered by crazy people. Crazy was a harsh word, but the rapid questions and basically mentally slapping herself at her mistake kind of weirded Jace out. Also from the fact that she was spacing out all the time. It made Jace feel - uncomfortable. She tried to get a word in to interact with the girl, but it seemed impossible. It seemed like the girl had one to many thoughts going on at the same time to Jace. It was worrying, and Jace didn't know how to react. Um, is she on crack?
Another thing were the vibes. Yes, this chick got vibes from people. Jace could feel negative, positive or neutral vibes from people. Her mother used to say it was connecting with people's auras that made it happen. She wasn't sure what it was exactly, but the feelings she was getting from the girl was multiple. All three gategories were flowing into Jace, which made things weirder. It was like she was getting a room full of emotions from one girl, which was weird enough. Taking the menu, she couldn't take her eyes off of her. But then she felt the girl's energies condecending with another guys. Some cutie a few tables away, and the girl stared at him. Weird enough, now Jace knew she had to get out of there.
''Um, no worries. Listen, I might wait a few minutes to decide. You can go serve that guy - or someone else''. She gave her a friendly smile and then looked down at the menu. As soon as the girl's eyes were off her, Jace got up and moved the hell out of there. Whipping the scalf back around he neck, she shook her head of these magical thoughts that were back in her head. She didn't want to be different - just a girl. Nothing else then that and it was becoming hard to interact with people in this city when it is a friggin' side-show. Moving through the door, she paced away. Calling a pizza tonight she thought.

Cassie was continuously staring at this guy. She couldn’t help it, she felt drawn too him. She felt something about him. Something she liked. She was obviously noticeably distracted since her current client was giving her a chance to talk to this guy. She got her opportunity. She looked at the girl. “Oh wows…lovely...thank you”. Cassie smiled slightly. She turned around and made her way towards this mysterious fellow. She smiled slightly as she stood at his table. Pen in hand and of course began her announcement. . “Hi I’m Cassie and I’m your waitress for the night. Let me tell you our special for the day. It is Wok Stirred Noodles…..no wait, stirred Shanghai Noodles with Crab and…..no wait with Shrimp haricots Verts. Yes, that’s it….lovely”. Cassie handed this mysterious guy the menu as she smiled at him. “How may I help you tonight?”
She didn’t know what it was but she couldn’t keep her eyes off him. She wondered why she found him so interesting, she wondered where is from, what brought him here, where is from. There she goes again, getting lost in her thoughts, wondering things she don’t need to. She just couldn’t help herself.

Daryl wasn't the type of guy that laid his detective badge on the table and expect a discount or something, especially not since he already had all the money that he would want, so he just kept it hid away attached to his belt and with his shirt partially over it and his jacket mostly. He had taken out his cellphone for a moment, checking some of his messages again and then eventually looked up when the girl sitting alone too at the other table suddenly got up and left. This instantly made Daryl frown a little and wonder what actually just happened there, and was this waitress involved with it? Did she say something inappropriate or something like that?
He really didn't know, but he didn't really take the chance of staring at the waitress and giving her the wrong idea, he wasn't here to flirt or go after girls or something, his mind totally wasn't set to that or someone else yet, and he knew it would take some time to get his mind changed again too. When the waitress came to his table and started her speech, which didn't seem to go without a hitch, a few hitches apparently actually, but smiled calmly when she finished as he looked somewhat thoughtful for a moment as he took the menu from her and gave it a quick look before looking back up at her. 'I think I'll have the special then, if it's correct what you eventually said, and a soda would be fine with it.' He then decided as he handed the menu back to her and looked at her calmly if she got it.
Still his look became somewhat more questioning when he noticed how she kept looking at her too, as if her eyes just couldn't leave him or something. That obviously caused him to think about what it was that this girl was looking at with him, or if here was something sticking to his face or something that might have drawn her attention and that it wasn't him entirely, but that last option seemed a little too far fetched for the way she was looking at him. 'Is there something wrong?' He couldn't help but eventually ask her as he pulled up an eyebrow in a calm questioning way with the same calm smile again friendly on his face.

Cassie smiled as the guy handed her the menu. She then wrote down the guy’s order as she tells the guy his order just to make sure it’s what he wanted. “So today’s special and a soda, just a moment please”. Cassie smiled as she was about to leave the guy asked her what was wrong. He obviously noticed she was staring at him all the time. She tried to keep her smile as she tried to figure out what to say. “Oh….wow…lovely, I was just wondering if you were dining alone. We usually don’t get good looking fellows dining solo here. But guess you are a first then. I hope I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable”. Cassie smiled as she put her notebook in her side pocket and turned around and headed towards the kitchen. She was still giving slight glances.
Was he watching her, didn’t he believe what she said. She really wondered. But she couldn’t resist. She had to ask him one more question. She wouldn’t feel good if she didn’t. She knew she would regret not asking him. So before she could reach to the kitchen she turns around and head towards the guys table. She was standing at his table a bit shocked a bit speechless. “Oh…wow…lovely… Excuse me sir, it’s a bit inappropriate and I’d regret not asking but you wouldn’t mind me asking for your name” Cassie smiled, fully knowing she felt a bit dumb for asking. But she kind of felt something special about this guy. She obviously couldn’t stop staring at him, so there had to be something.

Calmly Daryl kept looking at Cassie, a little wondering still why she was starting at him almost, but maybe it was just something small and hopefully she would just answer him. First he nodded with a smile to let her know that it was the right order that she repeated to him after writing it down and was at least happy that she had gotten that right in one time, after the attempts for telling him the special of the day. He pulled up an eyebrow at first when he heard her explanation for why she was looking at him like that and what she was wondering herself and laughed softly because of it. 'Yeah, I'm alone, not really anyone to dine with, and a little rest once in a while for myself is a good thing with my job. That's why you didn't make me feel really uncomfortable either, I'm used to quite a lot from all the criminals.' He told her honestly with a smile again as he looked at her to see if she understood, and laughed slightly because of the last part he said somewhat giving away his job as a LAPD detective, while wondering how he should take her remark about him being a good looking fellow, except from it being a compliment either way.
He followed her with his eyes for a moment as she eventually turned around to take care of his order and after thinking to himself for a moment again what was up with her, just because he got the impression pretty quickly there was something... Unusual about her, but he didn't exactly mean it as a bad thing either yet. He didn't know that she was still giving him glances, nor did he know that she eventually came walking back to him after she was well on her way to the kitchen. He slowly looked up when he felt her presence so to speak when she was standing at his table again and he saw her slightly shocked and speechless expression. 'Something wrong?' he found himself asking again because of it but when she started talking, he mostly noticed at first the first few words and the way she said them: 'Oh... Wow... Lovely...' How should he look at that too anyway when he was sure he had heard her say that exact same thing earlier? He shook it off slightly and listened to the rest that she asked him, which came down to her actually asking his name. Not really expecting that question he was a little speechless for a moment himself, then shrugged and smiled slightly. 'I guess there shouldn't be any harm in telling you.. Daryl, the name's Daryl Carter.' He told her, as he smiled as normal as possible again, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable either by making her think he was thinking strange things of her, he just didn't really know what to think about her, a very big part because of how even now she obviously kept staring at him.

Cassie knew she shouldn’t have asked the guy his name, it was unprofessional and not part of her job description. But she couldn’t help herself. She just felt she should have asked him. Like something forcing her too. When he said his name, it was a nice name, short, and simple. Common yet not common enough she thought to herself. “Oh…wow…Darrell…that is a lovely name”. Cassie smiled delightfully, happy he told her his name. Maybe he meant well she guessed. He was kind enough to do this, so he should be a nice guy. “I’ll be right back with your order sir…oh…wow…I mean Darrell…yes…Darrell…lovely”. Cassie walked off carrying his order to the kitchen.
Cassie came back out taking care of the other costumers but constantly giving glances at Darrell, even saying his name in her head, it sounded lovely. She swore she was going mental because she was giving slight glances at this guy the entire time. She served the other costumers and then she headed back to the kitchen and it seemed Darrell’s order was done. She took his order as she put the biggest smile she ever could and made her way towards his table.
Cassie was at Darrell’s table she put his plate on the table and then put his drink right next to it. She smiled as she looked at Darrell. “There you go, today’s special, lovely, enjoy”. Cassie walked away as she quickly turned around and quickly talked to Darrell again. “If there is anything else you need, do not hesitate to ask. I’ll be here I no time…okay…lovely.” Cassie turned around once she saw he was ready to eat as she made her way to serve other costumers though, still giving slight glances at Darrell, even though it is a bit weird, since he’s eating. Maybe she’ll stare less now.

There was something about this girl, he kept repeating that in his head automatically the more she talked to him and the more he heard the same sentence come from her, but he still wasn't the type of guy that would already judge her as weird, maybe strange, but that wasn't in a negative way, that was just the best he could do after just knowing her for since he sat down and she came to him, so he decided to just not focus too much on it and just give her a chance, he would notice soon enough if he was right that there was a friendly and nice girl under the strange way she was acting, but it could always be just him... But why would she be specifically be acting and looking this way at him? He couldn't really believe that at the moment.
When she responded to his name he smiled and nodded when she said that it was a lovely name and choose to just give her a friendly and thankful smile for giving him that compliment, because at least it felt like a real compliment with the way she had said it. 'Well thank you, that's always nice to hear of course. And Cassie isn't a bad name either.' He told her friendly again with a smile and short wink, but together with the wink, he started debating with himself in his thoughts if it had been really smart to say that to her, with the way she was already acting. 'Of course.' He then eventually said simply with a simple nod when she told him that she would be right back with his order and tried not to watch her walk off to the kitchen too much, trying to make sure he didn't give her any wrong ideas, his thoughts were mostly totally somewhere else, with someone else.
When that went through his head Daryl didn't have the time to actually think long about how she had said his name while telling him that she'd be right back, because quickly enough he was looking straight in front of him, his mind going to what he could remember about the night he had attacked and turned Shannelle, but also to herself and how he was ever going to try and make things up to her, how he was ever going to win her trust to let him be a part of her life, in whatever way, but he just wanted to make it up to her, to help her with whatever she needed...
Daryl was shook up from his thoughts when he heard the sounds of Cassie returning to his table and her putting his plate and drink down on the table right next to each other. He looked at it for just a moment, smiled when he got even more hungry by the looks of it and then looked back up at Cassie when she spoke to him again. 'I'm sure that won't be a problem, and sure, I will.' Daryl answered her with yet again a honest friendly smile about his order and that if there was something else that he shouldn't hesitate and that she would be there in no time, okay that one got him thinking again of what she thought about him, but on the other hand, it didn't hurt if a friendly nice girl treated you like a VIP right? So after watching her walk away for just a short while, he looked at his food and started eating, only having the feeling at the same time that she was still looking at him sometimes, but didn't want to look back as he was too busy with his food and still didn't want her to get a wrong idea or just embarrassed if he looked back at her and he was right.

Cassie continued her waitressing duties; she waited for a happy couple and wondered if she’d ever be as happy as that one day, maybe with Daryl, who knows? She just met the guy, what was she filling her head with already. Then a family of four was there. She saw it already, her future, two kids, Ben and Abigail, they’d be the most perfect children in the world. And every time she waited these tables, she couldn’t help but give slight glances to Daryl, sure it was to see if he was finished but also because she couldn’t help herself. He was a drug to her already and she was addicted. She really needed to calm herself down. She always got lost in false thoughts, ideas she made up herself, hints only she picked up when there wasn’t a hint to begin with. But she composed herself and did her job.
Moments later Daryl was seemingly finished. Cassie spent all night eyeing him, she couldn’t help it, and she had a crush on him it seems. So she made her way to his table as she smiled at him “Oh…wow…lovely…I’m sure that was delightful”. Cassie slowly takes Daryl’s plate off the table and his cup as she looked at the man and continued her waitressing duties “Is there anything else you would like sir…oh…wow…I mean Daryl, yes…lovely”. Cassie nervously stood there as she awaited the mans order, she thought she could stop refereeing to him as man, she could think of him as Daryl, that seems logical, they were on first name basis.

Daryl did follow Cassie for a moment with his eyes after a moment of focusing on his food, but that was mostly because his mind was just still trying to figure out what to make of it, at least she was friendly though, in an odd way but why be too picky about people that might turn out to be very good people and somehow possible friends? Not that he was really planning the latter just yet, just because he didn't know if he would get the chance to come here, and then if she would even be here, and he wasn't going to change his entire schedule either for someone he just met.
So he just shook it off eventually to stop thinking about it and just enjoy the peace and mostly quiet for a moment while eating his food. It didn't take very long for him to be finished with how he hadn't eaten anything since early in the morning, and Daryl could have a good appetite, a human one... He didn't go further into that thought either, he just started thinking about those things again after what had happened, or more... After what he had done. He sighed as he figured he was happy that at least those thoughts started up just after he was done eating, that way he had at least been able to enjoy it for a moment.
Daryl was still picking up some pretty small pieces of food for a moment before he put his fork and knife down and took some good sips from his drink. Just as he looking slightly to the left and upward in thought for a moment, about more work related things by now luckily, he was taken out of those when he heard footsteps coming closer and instantly recognized as he turned that it was Cassie again and smiled friendly and as he nodded to her statement about being delightful. 'It was very good yes thank you, and I could use a small dessert, but then I will need to go, so I hope it's something that's quickly made.' He told her with her question if there was anything else she could do and with that he smiled for a moment before taking out his cellphone and looking at some things on it, if he had any missed calls or messages or something.

Cassie was delighted to hear Daryl enjoyed his meal. It wasn’t like she cooked it but it was a satisfying feeling. She was just happy he was enjoying himself and he even wanted dessert. He wanted dessert she thought, she was even more delighted. “Oh…wow…lovely…I think I may have the perfect dessert for you…lovely” Cassie excused herself as she walked towards the kitchen. She opened up the fridge and then took out this cake.
She opened the lid of the cake box and it was this Apple pie. The first thing she had when she came to the US, it was the most delightful thing she has ever tasted. So she was sure he was going to enjoy this one. She slowly cut a slice for Daryl as she slowly put it onto a saucer. She then looked around the kitchen for a tiny fork. She found on luckily as everyone looked at her a bit weird. She was doing the entire job the people in the kitchen usually did, but she assumed she’d go the extra mile for Daryl.
Cassie then grabbed the saucer and put a smile on her face as she walked out the kitchen and walked towards Daryl’s table as she gently laid the saucer on the table as she smiled at him. “Some lovely apple pie and don’t you worry now, it’s on me”. Cassie smiled as she put Daryl’s check on the table, without the costs for the apple pie of course as she then smiled at him. “Now you enjoy…yes…lovely”. She then awaited his approval as she went on to serve other costumers.
