Ridiculous. She felt – and probably looked – ridiculous. Why had she been waiting to go home until after her boss left? It was seven-freaking-thirty and overall, an hour until it would be dark outside. She had unnecessarily been scolded by her boss and on that note, she totally took back her words of him not being the baddest man in the world. He was bad enough when he wanted to and boy, did he want to. It had felt like 'everyone-go-off-at-Shannelle-day'. And it sucked.
So, when she was finally done working, she decided to walk back to the campus, like she usually did, because she liked the fresh air. Although, she did wish she now liked to run even faster, since there was probably a full moon popping up soon again. She hated the moon with a silent passion and she'd much rather not go outside at all when it was one of those days, in the hopes of not having to transform into a freaking werewolf. Yeah, it was a miracle Kyra didn't seem to know what she was, or did she? Well, she didn't know. She really didn't know.
Shannelle pulled out some knots in her left shoulder, after she came back to her room on campus, from a terrific – not too fun – day at work. She kicked out her shoes and dropped down on her bed, not even bothering to look if Kyra was even in the room or not, before exclaiming, ”God, I hate my job.”

Walking down the corridors of the university, she begun to open her door, hot off some magical experimentation. Everette and her had secretly practiced a few spells in the chemistry lab just for fun, as she promised. Most of the spells were successful, due to the two coven members being both involved, however some were a rather hit and miss. They nearly blew up the sink in the labs, luckily for them, such a frieghtening situation was avoided. That was all they needed, to be known as the people who blew up the sink in the chemistry labs. She didn't even want to be known for being in the chemistry labs at all. She had a reputation after all, and although her witch duties compelled her to go against what people percieved her as most of the time, she ensured that the perception of her remained the same. And normal, too.
She walked into her dorm, noticing that her roomate Shannell was already home from work, and apparently whining about something. She was hoping she would have been asked to stay back later so that she could have the place to herself for a bit longer, but she couldn't have what she wanted all the time it seemed. She smiled at her roomate. If she wasn't good looking, she would be ashamed to hang out with Shannell. Luckily people thought she was some cool chick, as long as she didn't try and steal her crowd or popularity, she let it go for now. [purple]"Finished from work already?"[/color] She commented, not really sure what else to say for the sake of making conversation. Her and Shannell weren't very close, after all they had just met. But she just felt like Shannell was completely different to her. Hmm. Maybe she could groom her into something special, then maybe like some of her spell attempts tonight with Everette, it could be a hit and miss altogether.

Shannelle didn't know very much about Kyra, other than that she wasn't liked by everyone and seemingly not by Eli, as far as she knew. But, to her, she seemed nice enough. Not that they'd be the best of friends, probably, but yeah, still.. nice enough to hang out with and share a room with. When she heard her reply, she smiled dryly and slightly sarcastic. ”Yeah and it sucked. I hate my boss. I hate him. Made me stay an hour late, just so he could yell at me for coming in late yesterday, like it's all my fault.” She said, as she sat up and looked at her. ”Not that you care.. Sorry, I'll shut up. What happened to you anyways? Finally spending your time in chemistry?” She asked with a smile. She didn't know much about her and frankly, she didn't even know if she wanted to, but she was still her roomie and so she had to deal with it.. eventually.
”Oh, I'll probably be stuck in here in a little while.. it's only for a short period of time. But, I'll probably call in sick and I'd like it if you cover for me..” Yeah, great way of saying; hey, I'm a weirdo that has a monthly period of time I'm hiding for the world! Great, just great. And she'd probably not even have said it if she knew Kyra was a witch, but she wasn't a telepath.

"Sorry Shann to sound abrupt, but I really don't care too much. When I asked if you finished work, I didn't need to hear the lifestory on 'I hate my boss', 'work is so hard' yada yada yada. Do you see where I'm coming from, I'm your roomy, not your therapist. I think we can be great friends, but if those are your bottom lines, you might be spending your time with a vacant bed. Not always so pleasant." She smiled softly. Did this girl really need to go into detail on work? She knew she was just trying to make conversation, but jeez, really? She did seemingly have a lot to learn, maybe she just needed a direction, or a friend like Kyra to guide her. There were definantly worse people to be friendly with her, she could think of a few names off of the top of her head quite easily.
She decided to answer the girl's question which was better than having to hear about all this work nonsense. "Yes, I spent some time there tonight, Everette just basically threw himself at me to join him in trying out some different experiments. Total drainer, like you have no idea Shann, next time you can take my place or something because that was just a total wipeout." So what if she threw Everette under the bus and made him look like a total doushbag-drainer, which was partially true anyway. She couldn't outright say she was practicing magic, what would this girl think of her? What if word got around? She'd be spending her university life with Maggie Vartaker, the student cleaner who has been at the university for thirty five years!
No wonder she was being extra friendly tonight, she was trying to bargain with her and ask favors! It was so evil, it actually reminded her of something she'd do. "So, if I'm supposed to be doing such a favor for you, are you going to at least have the decency of explaining why you are even calling in sick. You don't look sick, you do look a little downer from usual, but I just gathered it was one of those off days people like me don't have. Oh well, I suppose I can cover for you." What else could be said, she was a nice friend.

Shannelle smiled faintly. ”Okay, that’s a good point. Why did you say I thought you didn’t care anyway?” She asked, as she remembered herself that the girl really didn’t. Well, nothing new after her conversation with Eli about Kyra, the other day. And yet, it really was a good point where Kyra was coming from.
A smile appeared on her face, as she listened to what she said. ”Well, I never met Everette anyway, so, good luck with him.” She said as she looked at her. Well, she didn’t know the girl was practicing magic and she didn’t care anyway. It was enough to deal with her own mess.
Shannelle looked at Kyra and got up, with a small shrug. ”I’d rather not go into detail too much about it.” She said, having no idea what she would do once she found out Shannelle was a werewolf. When she said she’d cover for her, she smiled, but looked suspicious moments later. ”This is the first time, you’re being this easy about it, what do you want in return?”

She looked up, letting out a silent "oh" response as this girl didn't know Everette. Of course she didn't, Kyra didn't even think straight. She was so used to knowing a lot of people around here, at least by faces or names anyway; except the weird ones she tried to steer clear of. Shannell seemed to be still finding her place at this university, so she could understand that she wasn't too familiar with the 'crowd.' As annoying as Everette could be at times, he was apart of the 'it' group, she would like to think. The it group involved those with magical powers who could just do so much more cooler things than people without these powers. They were just cool, enough said!
"Sorry, his someone in my group, sure you will meet him eventually, I usually bring him along to parties from time to time when we are short in numbers, see it looks bad walking in with less people in the group. You should totally come one night, it'll be fun and a chance for you to meet some of the Los Angeles university crowd; possibly even meet 'someone'?" She smiled softly towards Shannell. She really couldn't see that happening without her guidance and presence. Shannell was a beautiful young girl, she could totally kick ass in the luring in men category, she just didn't know how to kick the ass yet. And boy did she have the ass to kick.
She sighed softly as Shannell refused to go into details about it. "Okay, I suppose I'll let this one slide. Just this one, though. As long as your not going out smoking pot or something with weirdos, I really hate the smell of the stuff, it stinks up the room. I don't enjoy sleeping with a gas mask." She could be nice, she really could. She just hoped this girl was being honest with her and not trying to use her to get out of work. Kyra could be pretty influencial when she wanted to be, but that wasn't the point. Shannell asked what she wanted in return, causing her to smile innocently. "What makes you think I want something in return, who are you taking me for? But seeing as you offered, I wouldn't mind if you could kind of shoo for the night. Me and the boy were planning somewhere special, and unfortunately the uni dorms are as special as going to get." She wasn't really asking for much, if the girl didn't have anywhere to be, she could just camp out the front in the cold, as long as the two got their privacy.

Shannelle looked at Kyra and listened to what she said, keeping in mind what she was saying. The silent ‘oh’ she had been making, looked so comical, that Shannelle didn’t know whether it was wise to laugh or not. She eventually smiled at the invitation. ”I think I’m totally going to take you up on that offer.” She replied, with a smile on her face, as she looked at her.
Shannelle laughed. ”No, I’m way past the stage of drugs.” She said, happy Kyra was going to let it slide, even if she was. When Kyra said what she wanted in return, she laughed. ”Sure, I’m just going to bother my brother then, sure he won’t mind.”

She smiled towards Shannell as she said she'd take Kyra up on her offer. Good, she'd hopefully be able to mould the girl into something amazing. She had the looks for it, she was just lacking the social aspect of it. She didn't appear to be the type who knew how to communicate with guys in the right way, or anyone in general. She'd have to work on that. She could make all the girls drool over Shannell in no time, as long as Shannell decided to trust her and go along with everything. "Perfect, I'll definantly update you on the details, won't be hard though, seeing as we are you know, roomies and all." She smirked again, still glancing over at the girl, thinking of ways to create an even better Shannell in her mind.
She giggled softly at Shannell's response about the drugs. "Good, because that could make things difficult, and I might even have to disown you as my roomate. But, now that we have that understanding out of the way..." She grinned as Shannell suggested going and annoying her brother. She was sure Shannell would be doing the annoying part to perfection. Harsh, but true. "Perfect! You go do that, oh, but before you go, would you mind tidying up your side of the room? You see, I don't need the boy assuming I'm living with someone messy do I? It just wouldn't sit right with me, you know?" She smiled again, before walking over to the bathroom. "So anyways, I'm about to go have a shower, I guess I'll see you tomorrow morning some time?" She smiled cheerfully, before closing the door behind her in the bathroom. Yay! She was getting somewhere with this girl.
