Noah was standing in front of Bloodlust, the word of a new Vampire in the area was going around. He decided he’d check it out and see who this guy is. He wanted to know what his deal was in LA and what brought him here. Noah stood in front of the door as he opened the door and walked. There were various vampires and a few humans around. They all stared as he walked in. He was an elder amongst vampires. One of the oldest in the area so making this meeting with this new vampire even more important. There wasn’t a vampire closer to his age than this one.

He sat at the bar a bartender asked him what he wanted. “I’m looking for the manager; I’ve got business to talk with him”. Noah looked around at all the vampires, he felt at home, it was loud, music, and drinking and everyone had a good time. Noah felt he kept good order in the area; there haven’t been any reports of missing or dead vampires that he is aware of. Getting acquainted with this new vampire was important to him. He was respected by vampires in the area, but there were a few who hated him having power over them. Though they didn’t know how much he kept order between vampires and humans.

Noah looked at his watch to see what time it was wondering what kept this guy. He was about to ask the bartender where the manager was until he turned around and saw him heading towards him. Noah smirked a little; he may be the leader but doesn’t mean he didn’t have to be nice.

Crash. That was the sound of the body falling to the floor. Kai let out a satisfied sigh as he wiped his mouth of the blood that was now trickling down it. Kai was taking the night off from Bloodlust tonight but he hadn't had a drink in a while and was starving. One of the perks of being the boss was that he could not be at the club and not really worry about it because he had hired some reliable people to watch over it when he wasn't there. It gave him the chance to enjoy himself some nights. Kai did a small jump and then he was on the roof. He didn't even bother with the body tonight.

Kai always liked walking on the edge of the rooftops. It was like if he missed a step was going to fall to his death. He was a vampire after all. He just kept walking when he felt his phone vibrating. Taking it out of his pocket he saw that it was work. With a sigh he answered it. "Better be important. Who?" someone wanted to see him? "Fine, tell whoever I'll be right there." he hung up and then started walking towards his beloved bar. It didn't take long. Eventually he found himself walking through his familiar doors and up towards the bar. When he got there the employee pointed out the man that sitting at the bar. Kai didn't know him and he had a good memory. "So apparently you were looking for me. What can I help you with?"

He didn’t seem too happy to be here. Noah smelled something on him, but said nothing. Noah just smiled a little and tried to get comfortable. “So I heard you are new here. As one of the eldest vampires here, it’s my duty to keep the vampires around here in check. I heard about you, and decided to come and introduce myself. And let you in on a few guidelines from around here”. Noah took a sip of his drink the waiter put on the table earlier. He looked at him, not showing too much kindness but trying to be nice.

Noah looked at the chair next to him suggested that Kai come sit next to him. “Come on sit down, have a seat, tell me who you are, what you are doing here, I’m sure you have a story”. Noah took another sip of his drink as he turned around and turned around facing the bartender assuming Kai will take a seat next to him. He’s got a lot to learn about this vampire, and he has all the time in the world to listen. Well, all night.

Eldest vampires huh? Well, Kai wasn't sure how new he could be considered since he had opened the bar well over a year ago but of course he never met one of the elder vamps from L.A. He didn't really care for it after all. He figured if he just kept to himself then it would be no problem. Whatever though. Looks like he was stuck dealing with this first. Hopefully it wouldn't take to long though because he would rather be out and about right now. Kai just put on his facade and went with the flow. He was good with acting, with the some of the things he had done over the years he had practically mastered the art of acting.

Before sitting down Kai got himself a glass and bottle. Might as well make himself comfortable. "Not exactly sure what you'd like to hear. The name's Kai, been vamp for four centuries now. Arrived in a L.A. a little over a year ago. Been traveling around before then. That's about the gist of it." he said casually. Of course there could be more, like how and why he turned, some of the stuff he had after he left his coven and so on but he wasn't exactly one to be sharing his whole life story. If this guy actually asked for it then Kai guessed that out of respect he'd have to share but only if he was asked.

Noah took another sip of his drink, hearing Kai’s story. There wasn’t much to it or he kept it at a minimal. Noah figured he heard enough and that this guy wasn’t too much trouble after all. He felt calm, but had some business to attend as well. Kai might know something he hoped. “I see, well it took me a little while to find you, you really keep to yourself”. Noah put down his drink as he got a little closer to Kai’s face, with a very demanding stare. He was just going to lay down the rules, so this guy understands how things work. “Now that we are acquainted let me fill you in on how things work here. You find yourself in trouble, you come to me, you turn a human into a vampire, you bring that vampire to me. I’m the one who take care of all problems vampire here. I got people all over the place”.

Noah got closer into Kai’s face clearly trying to intimidate him. “And if you ever find yourself in any trouble and you don’t come to me”. Noah smirked a little, showing no remorse or fear towards Kai, just being blunt. “Don’t be afraid of vampire hunters trying to get you, don’t be afraid of humans trying to get you, worry about me, because I won’t be trying to get you. I will get you”. Noah slowly moved back and picked up his drink had another sip as he tasted the last drop. He poured himself another glass as he looked at Kai again, finishing his speech. “I’ve kept vampires on the down low too long, for anyone to ruin it. Got it?”

Noah took another sip of his drink as he tried to put on a less intimidating face. Looking calmer and less threatening. “So now I think we can talk business. I heard a vampire was killed near Midnight bar last night. You wouldn’t know anything about that now would you?”. Noah put his elbow on the bar as he turned and looked at Kai, waiting for a response.

Kai just watched the guy closely. He figured this guy wasn't here to try out the bar. He meant business. And he certainly made his point come across quite clearly. What amused Kai was the fact that this guy, who he still hadn't heard what his name was, was trying to intimidate him. He even got more and more into his face. Kai thought that any closer and he'd be kissing the guy. Inside he was smirking but he thought it would be best to at least let the guy think Kai was intimidated. Kai wasn't one to get intimidated that easily. After all his years of traveling hardly anything worried him but he just played along with this guy. "I highly doubt you'll have any problems from me but fine. It'd probably help if I knew your name don't you think?" he asked casually as he poured the liquid in the glass and took a drink.

Then he brought something about a vampire getting killed last night near another bar. "Afraid I can't help you on that as much as I would like to. I was actually here all night. Gotta keep the customers in check sometimes you know." he said with a smirk.

Noah chuckled a bit, his name? Guess this guy wasn’t too familiar with the area or him it seems. So Noah couldn’t be bothered. He didn’t know this guy to well either. So he decided to be a bit of a jerk. He usually was, bad habit he guessed. “My name you ask? Kid, I’m about a decade older than you, we only recently became acquaintances, and for now calling me Mr. Vandervoort will be just fine”. Noah chuckled again as he took a sip of his drink again. This guy didn’t seem to phase by hi threats, but he assumed at least some got into this youngster head.

Noah looked down listening to Kai say he doesn’t know anything about what happened. He assumed he didn’t. Being in owner of the bar he’d assume he hasn’t but he hoped at least one vampire in her talked about it. Guess he was wrong. Well he tried at least. But he did have an idea who may have some answers. “Well it’s a shame you didn’t hear anything” Noah stepped off his chair as he took the last sip of his drink leaving it empty as he sticks out his hand wanting to give Kai a handshake before he leaves. “Well thank you for your time Kai, let’s hope the next time we meet are on good terms as well”. Noah smirked a little waiting for a while waiting for Kai’s handshake.

Mr.Vandervoort? Honestly? Well, there wasn't much he could really do about it right now. If that's how this guy wanted to play then so be it. He really didn't care. He was sure he'd be able to find out his name on his own but he could do that later. Kai just looked at the guy and took his hand shook it casually. "Pleasure is mine. And like wise." he said returning Noah's smirk. "And don't be a stranger. Drinks are on me next time."
