Guinevere sighed contentedly as she sipped at the wonderfully hot Jasmine tea she held cupped in her chilled hands. She had been surprised that the bar served tea like this, but she guessed she shouldn't have been. It was a nice place, and it was relaxing. She had gotten lost- again- and had come in here to call Lily since it seemed to be the only place open. But she figured, while she was here, she could have a nice drink to warm herself. It hadn't been overly cold outside... But still. It was a nice excuse.
Someone bumped into her, and spilled her tea all down her front. "H- Hey!" She yelped, scalded from the hot tea. She jumped up from her stool at the bar where she had been sitting, but whoever had bumped into her had left, as there was no apology for running into her and making her spill hot tea all over herself.
The bartender, a sympathetic looking man, handed a towel to her from over the counter and let her mop herself up. She was mortified, and angry. "What a freaking jerk!" She muttered heatedly under her breath.
Crack! Guinevere jolted hard when a crack like a gunshot sounded from behind the bar. The bartender snarled something uncomplimentary, but it hadn't been directed at her. A bottle from behind the bar had fallen, one of the heavier scotch bottles, and it had cracked open instead of shattering on the hard wood of the floor.
Gwen felt herself pale. The things falling off shelves was starting to happen more around her, now. Her ghost was following her everywhere, instead of just staying at her apartment.
Another bottle tipped, and a third, both of them shattering on the hard wood floor. "What on earth-" Gwen heard the bartender shout over the thumping music that had mostly disguised the noise from the rest of the bar. Fear pulsed inside Gwen. How could the ghost follow her? A bottle shot off the shelf, shattering on the counter in front of her. She screamed, holding her arms up to protect her face as glass sliced into her arms. Her scream cut through the music, and a few others began to panic as well, not knowing what was going on. Blood trickled down her arms as she stumbled back, then ran hard into a wall.
"Oh god, not again... Not again..."

From an outsiders view, it did look suss. It was really inconspicuous between the two, but there wasn't anything really bad. Just a little transaction between one guy to another - thing. Just a mix breed of mandrake root and lavander, a powerful specimen of magic that Ev really wanted. So now he was in midnight bar, standing in front of some scaley freaky thing.
The transaction was simpLe but if Xzavier found out he would be really pissed. A little ingredient. That's all! And maybe a little insurance that this demon providing the root would have immunity against the Trinity Brothers going after him. That included Ev, Xzavier - - and Axel.
Ev had it in his hand, looking from the bag of roots to the demon. In a cloud of burning flames the demon disappeared and everyone was natural. With a serious expression, Ev knew he should get out of there. The Brothers weren't exactly popular in these parts. Or really any parts in this place. But he didn't care. If evil feared him, that just meant he was finally doing something right.
CRACK! Spinning around, Ev saw her. Some chick pissed off and bottles behind the bar were practically being dragged off of there shelf. A puzzled expression washed over his face as he watched the bottles crash onto the ground one at a time. Every single one sent a wave of energy that connected with Ev. The energy went from the soaked woman, through the broken bottles and to Everette. The only thing; she couldn't control it.
The woman crashed into the wall, horrified by what was happening. Glass lunged around the room as more and more glasses smashed. Ev stood forwards as people worried. This was some averagely strong but purely out of control magic. Ev couldn't chant to stop the magic, he just had to focus. Shards of glass launched towards him but off coursed around him. Arms tensed at his sides as he focused. He felt his energy being sent out to the bottles, to the girls energetic path. ''Stop....''. He calmed it, centering the flow of the power. Soon, bottles stopped falling and all that was left was a mess. Turning, Ev looked at the woman. ''We have to talk - right now''.

She was hyperventilating. Gwen knew it, but she was helpless to stop it. Why was the ghost following her places and destroying things everywhere she went? Blood ran down her arm and dripped onto the floor. A cut on her cheek she hadn't remembered getting dripped blood down her face and onto her neck.
Then, suddenly, the panic slowed. It eased some how, and a voice reverberated in her head. Stop, she heard it, almost soothing in a calm voice. She shook, violently. Her adrenaline was too high for her to feel the cuts on her arms from the busted bottle. She tried to take a deep breath, tried to calm down, but her breath hitched. She jolted when someone spoke to her.
''We have to talk - right now."
Guinevere's eyes shot to the guy that spoke to her. Her eyes were huge, and she knew they were wide with fear. "W- What?" She gasped out. She shook. "Did you see it? The ghost?" Why else would he demand they have to talk? Was he one of those psychic people that could see ghosts and he somehow realized it was trying to attack her?
It had gotten noisy again, although the music had cut off and people were either leaving or going back to their conversations, now all talking about the strangeness of the bottles flying off the shelves. Guinevere could see the bartender and a couple of the waitresses cleaning the back of the bar up, giving those who got cut by flying glass free drinks.
God, she could use one right now. A shot of tequila. Or five.
The bands of iron that had clamped around her chest in panic were lessening their force, and she found she could breathe almost normally again. She turned to look back at the guy who had demanded to talk to her. "Did you see it?" She asked him again in a frightened whisper.

The blood gushed from the laseration on her face. She was so freaked, so scared of what was happening? Looking at him, so exhilirated with a desperate look of confusion in her eyes, he knew this wasn't a commonly calm thing for her. He stepped forwards, ripping off his scalf from his neck so she could use it for her wounds. Whatever was going on, he would help her.
''Its going to be okay''. He wasn't sure if it was. He wasn't sure of anything right now. He wasn't sure if they would see Axel ever again. He wasn't sure if he could stop whatever this new evil was. Maybe saving this girl was going to help him believe that he can actually do something now. The roots slid into his pocket, and when she said it he was struck with confusion.
''The what?''. That wasn't a ghost. Witches can't see ghosts but sense them and what Ev sensed was a direct link to this girl's energy. What was going on? Maybe, just maybe, she thought it was a ghost? Does she even know that she is a witch? He looked at her with a puzzled expression. ''That - that wasn't a ghost. That was you''. The words seemed a lot more blunt then it was intended. But if this girl didn't know what she was doing, how much damage had occured throughout her life that she had blamed on a ghost?

Guinevere jumped a little when he took his scarf from his neck and used it to wipe at the gash on her cheek. She hadn't felt the pain until then, and when she felt it, it caused her to jolt a little. She tried to stop jolting and shaking so he wouldn't have such a hard time trying to stop the bleeding on her face. Would she scar from the cut? Well, it'd be an interesting story anyway...
"It's going to be okay."
Gwen blinked slowly, trying to get her helpless fear under control. She took a deep breath so she could talk. "Is it?" She asked softly, wrapping her arms around her stomach to try to keep it from jumping quite so much. She didn't feel like it was going to be okay, but she dealt with this stupid ghost more often then he did.
''That - that wasn't a ghost. That was you.''
Guinevere stared at the guy in front of her, confused. "Me? How could I throw bottles I couldn't even reach?" Her brows knit together, and she began to question the sanity of the guy who was helping her. She really needed to get his name...
"I don't understand... It's just a ghost, you know? I'm not doing anything... The ghost has been following me around and breaking things for a couple months now... Usually it stayed at my apartment but now..." She motioned to the destruction behind them at the bar. "It just follows me everywhere..."

Talk about denial. This woman would have come to the conclusion that it was aliens before accepting that it was her. She shook vigorously, and he tried to put the scalf onto her wound, but it was just smudging blood. She had to calm down, and stairing at the wound he conducted a little bit of supernatural first-aid. His eyes didn't leave the wound, the blood still coming from it. ''Drips like blood, freezes like water. Drips like blood, freezes like water. Drips like blood, freezes like water''. He chanted under his breath. He focused on the spell, and focused on the spell's energy. The intense spell dried the blood on her face, constricting the wound into a fine red line as he wipped the excess blood. It was fine now, but magic was far to extreme for her now. Lowering the scalf, he looked into her eyes. But yeah, she was in denial.
''I'm sorry, but a ghost has an energy like anyone else. When I stopped what you were doing, it was you. There is no ghost, at all. I promise you. But I am pretty sure that - your a witch. I can feel it''. Taking her hands, he lured her towards a table. One not covered in glass by the way. Sitting on a seat, he moved the other out for her. With his hand and not his mind. He felt real bad for her, and he was lucky. Weird things never really happened to him before he started practising. And now it is nearly completely under control. It isn't like he would put her in the circle, but he wouldn't hesitate to helping her.

Guinevere watched him as he muttered something under his breath. His statement about it being her was still ringing in her ears, and something she hadn't felt since she woke up began to stir in her. The way he had been so sure about the strange things that had happened around her had actually been her. She missed his words, but the cut on her cheek tingled suddenly and she blinked. She reached up to touch it, but her hand stopped halfway.
"But I am pretty sure that - your a witch. I can feel it."
A... Witch? What was he talking about? Vaguely she realized she'd missed most of what he had said before, but it didn't matter. Why had that feeling come back, so strongly this time? A sense of... Rightness filled her. Like something she had long since forgotten had come back to light. "Witch...?" She muttered as he grabbed her hands and pulled her gently to a table. But that couldn't be right. There was no such thing as witches... Right?
So why did that feel so right when he said it?
"H- How could... That be possible?" Wait, was she actually believing this guy? She didn't even know him, despite how kind he was, he could be some sort of psychopath.
The front door opened, and Gwen looked up. She needed the distraction, and was shocked to see Lily standing in the doorway, though she had called her friend to come get her. "Lily..." She muttered it, too shocked to call out, but the half-asian woman saw her anyway, and headed their way.
----
(I'm just gonna post for Lily in the same post with Gwen, since it seems kind of silly to post for both of them with both accounts... But if I need to I can edit this post and post for Lily on that account anyway.)
Lily sighed as she drove into the Midnight Bar's parking lot. Gwen was making it a habit of getting lost, and then going into places for Lily to conveniently come and find her. She wondered absently if this was Guinevere's way of getting her friend to come out and have some fun at night, instead of working. She wouldn't have been surprised.
As she pulled up, she saw a large group of people coming out of the bar. Lily's cop instinct kicked in and she frowned at the large group. Most of them weren't together, just singles leaving. She couldn't think of a good reason why that many people would leave at the same time unless something bad had happened.
Getting out of her car, she hit the lock and slammed the door as she strode up to the bar, threw a smaller crowd of people. "-Bottles breaking with no one to push them..." She heard a passing woman mutter to her companion. She frowned and paused at the door. That sounded like Gwen's... Ghost. She didn't think Gwen was being haunted by a ghost, but Lily had no other way to describe the strange things happening around her.
Walking inside, she paused as she looked around for Guinevere. Spotting her, she started over, only to jerk to a stop when a familiar face sitting next to Gwen caught her attention. Lily blinked, shocked, as she strode up to the table. "So, Ev, I see you've met Guinevere. And her... Ghost?" She raised an eyebrow curiously. What would Everette think about a ghost following around Gwen?

He couldn't be surprised. He had no idea that he was a witch trinity thing until weird things started to happen to him. But practise makes perfect. Now he can control his magic, focus the energy he has even if it does seem to be getting more and more powerful everyday. But this woman was freaked. Ev was a sensitive guy but he didn't do well with freaked. No wonder he had a tolerance for Kyra. Lack of emotions all wrapped up in pom-poms. Ev sighed as he looked towards her as she said the word. She would have to get used to it because the ghost thing wasn't the excuse anymore. Ev tried to channel his energies around the room. Like a sonar, he tried to scan the area for any 'paranormal' stuff. No such luck really but she really wasn't being receptive to the idea that she is a Sabrina. That's how the jock would put it anyway.
Ev did feel bad. He couldn't help it. You had Xzavier who could basically have a shell around him; he is that hard. There was Ev who was the more level headed and calm one and then - there was Axel. All he knew about Axel was that he is alone and laid back. Seemed to be a kind of mixture of both Xzavier and Ev, which was kind of weird and even when Ev would look at him; he could see his father. Ev didn't like the fact, but he would do what he did best and kept his lips firmly shut. The brother who was a seriously confused wicca sat at the table, light eyes looking at Gwen until he saw her turn towards the door. Ev looked too, craning his neck around so he could see. And to make matters worse it was Lily, and with this going on Ev really didn't have time for twenty questions.
Ev sat quiet for just a second. He looked from Lily to Gwen and kind of found it a pretty weird coincidence that they knew each other. And also what Lily said; ghost. It kind of made sense that Gwen would have went to a PI to try and figure out what to do with this ghost theory. Too bad it was really wrong. Raising an eyebrow, he sighed. "Then consider her ghost busted". Rising from his seat, he moved towards Lily and took her arm, turning them so he could talk to her. "She is a friggin' witch, Lily. There is no ghost around her, it is her energies that are doing it. And the more confused she gets well - shit breaks". Ev sighed as he looked towards the glass. If only he could make the mess clean up itself. But if your looking for a spell to do that; go to hogwarts.

When Lily had reached them, she had reached out to Gwen, clasping her shoulder and squeezing it once with reassurance. She could see in the woman's eyes that she was panicked, although upon seeing Lily, she had noticed that the panic had gone down. Gwen settled her head in her arms, just as Everette stood suddenly and grasped her arm and turned her away from Guinevere.
Lily was vaguely shocked by the move, the pressure on her arm was hard, but not quite painful. Everette never did things like this, and it greatly surprised her. But that was eclipsed by what he said.
"She is a friggin' witch, Lily. There is no ghost around her, it is her energies that are doing it. And the more confused she gets well - shit breaks."
What the hell was Everette talking about?
But when Lily glanced back at Guinevere, who was staring at her with a look in her eyes Lily had never seen before, she found it very difficult indeed to disbelieve her friend. She turned back to Ev, eyes blank. "Ev, how would you know if Gwen was some sort of supernatural... What do they call it, magic user? Creature?" She asked with no tone to her voice at all. She didn't think of Gwen as anything but human, but she didn't know what else to call it. But the conviction in Gwen's eyes, something Lily hadn't seen there even when she told Gwen her name, made Lily keep an open mind. "And why is it that Xzavier seems so... Touchy about some subjects? And don't tell me they aren't related Ev. You're not a good liar."
Lily wasn't sure if Ev could fool other people when he lied, but Lily had always been able to see through it. She waited, staring at Everette with an intensity a cop in interrogation would have envied.

This was a primo big woopsy for Ev. This was the biggest secret unthreading in front of Lily. If he told Lily who he was, who the three of them were then it would just make things even more and more worse. Ev wasn't just a witch, but one out of three brothers gifted by ancestral shamans to protect the world from evil. It doesn't exactly just roll off the tongue. It was too risky, but even though he trusted Lily he couldn't betray the others. It wasn't in his nature, and also he did not want shit to stir in the Evans household. It was apparent that Lily didn't believe him, which he didn't blame her. But she then questioned how he knew. Awkward!
She then linked other things. Probably the constant mysterious disappearances over the years with them when something weird comes up, and also with the fact that Xzavier got twitchy when the supernatural came into question. But he had decided. He didn't have much time to come up with anything else. Sighing, he looked down. He could not betray Xzavier or Axel. He looked now up to Lily, feeling a bit flustered. This wasn't a small thing he was about to tell her. ''Okay, promise me you will keep a tight lip on this''. If Xzavier was here, he would probably hit Ev so hard his eyeballs would switch sockets. ''I know Gwen is a witch - - because so am I. I have been for a while now, but Xzavier only tries to protect me. That's how I found Axel, how some of the things get cleared up around here. Its how I stopped Gwen from destroying the bar. Crazy right?''. He smiled at her to try and lightened up what now seemed like a very, very heavy mood.

Lily watched as Everette all but kicked himself for saying something she figured Xzavier had told him never to say to her. She only figured it would be Xzavier because that was the type of person he was. Like it was some misguided attempt to keep her safe from whatever magic using people there were out there. If that was the reason... Anger bubbled, sizzling underneath her skin.
''I know Gwen is a witch - - because so am I. I have been for a while now, but Xzavier only tries to protect me. That's how I found Axel, how some of the things get cleared up around here. Its how I stopped Gwen from destroying the bar. Crazy right?''
Lily didn't speak for a minute. She didn't know what to say, but she barely managed to hide the anger. She wasn't sure it was completely hidden from Everette, since Gwen had noticed and had hurriedly stood to move over to her.
"Lily..."
"Be quiet Gwen," Lily said, never looking away from Everette. "Is this... Witch thing easily managed?" She asked him. She wanted to ask if that was why Xzavier broke up with her out of the blue. It would be like him, trying to protect her from something he didn't understand. Not that she understood it any better, but she could protect herself.
She could, right?
"I think... I think now that I know I'm not being attacked by a ghost, it'll settle down," Guinevere said softly as she stretched out a hand to Lily. Lily curbed the impulse to jerk away from her friend, and let Gwen lean against her slightly. The woman looked exhausted and upset, but she didn't look panicked anymore. If anything, she looked almost elated.
Guinevere turned her eyes to Everette too, but she smiled at him while she felt Lily's tightly controlled anger. "Thank you," She said softly, even as tears swelled in her eyes. She didn't let them fall, but felt an urge to laugh and dance and cry with a joy she hadn't felt in so long. "This is..." She had to swallow so she wouldn't cry. "This is the first thing that's felt right since I woke up..."
Lily let herself calm some as she wrapped an arm around Gwen's waist and hugged her. Gwen was all but vibrating with joy, and Lily had a hard time staying angry with so much glee bundled up next to her. Gwen let out a laugh and wrapped Lily in a hug. "Maybe now I'll remember," She said softly.

He held the silence and Lily's stare for the long minute. He didn't flinch or move. He barely took a breath. It was hard, and the friendship they had could be destroyed. But it was the only way. Gwen needed help. A untamed witch is dangerous, it is driven by confusion and will and there is no way to contain it - without practise. But when power is completely destructive, even giving the impression of a ghost to the knowing, it is dangerous. Dark magic, but he couldn't be sure. These thoughts went through his mind as he gazed into Lily's eyes, and Gwen came over. She seemed to realize she was a - a witch. It was hard for Ev to think it, and then the obvious question came at Ev from Lily. Ev sighed, scratching his head as he looked from Lily to Gwen.
''Practise, really. Either that or I can bind her magic, harness it to ritual stuff. An individual witch, it can get messy. Other then that there isn't much we can do''. Stipping the magic. That was the thing he wasn't saying. He could get the circle, and drain the magic from Gwen. It isn't dangerous, but tricky. It is more advanced then they had ever practise, and the circle might not want to do it. But if push comes to shove, it would have to be done.
''Lily''. He had to go. This was strange enough, and now he had to get to his and harvest these roots. A normal life right? He looked down slightly, but then back up to her. ''We have to talk, I know. But - I have to go. Please, just don't say anything. Life is stressful enough as it is. But - you know that. Just look after her, okay?''. A smile slid to Lily and Gwen, as he walked out of the bar. The scalf dangled by his fingers. Then it hit him; did he get Xzavier in trouble. He isn't a witch, but unless it piped up suspicion in the most curious person he knows, they could be in trouble. But time would tell, and Ev put his hands in his pockets as he ventured down the road and to his car.
