Kyle listened intently as the class played their instruments. They're all doing really well, he thought to himself. His gaze drifted to one student in particular: Eli. The boy could jam. Even when they were playing classical, like they were doing now, he always managed to put a good spin to it. Hmmm...I wonder...he silently mused. They were having trouble coming up with music to accompany their show. Maybe Eli could give them a hand. Finally, the music ended. "That was beautiful. You all did well. Class dismissed," he told them. "Eli, would you mind sticking around for a little bit? I have something I need to discuss with you," he continued. Hopefully, the boy wouldn't mind even though it wasn't really his thing.

With a strum, it qued everything. The pitter patter of a chiming high hat rang. The resonating chords of a keybaord shot from beside him. He strummed again, this time appegiating the chords. It sounded so clean, so cut. He played the intro, easy chords but needed more texture to make it sound amazing. So with a microphone to his lips, he sang. "Oh what the hell she says, I just can't win for losing. And she lays back down.
Man there's so many times I don't know what I'm doing. Like I don't know now.
And she says oh, I can't take no more. Her tears like diamonds on the floor. And her diamonds bring me down.
Coz I can't help her now, She's down in it. It's hard to think but now she can't win it's Hard to see them on the ground.
... His diamonds falling down".
As the warning bell rang, it seriously was time for them to stop. So they did, the violinists rushing off to pack up so they could get to there next bullshit class. Eli just kind of looked down slightly before unplugging his guitar. He sat it on the stand, kidn of avoiding having to go to his parents diner. It wasn't going to be fun. A lot of fun stories about Trinity's success in life. It was great, also knowing that your parents think your head is dwelling in the clouds when you a pretty sure that there heads are firmly up there asses.
Though when he went to leave, backpack on his back he heard his teacher. Kyle was a cool dude. Kind of cute in that 'bang-the-teacher' kind of way, and taught a mean music program. When he wanted to talk to Eli, he worried. Did he do something wrong? It wouldn't surprise, especially in situations like this where he had no idea what he had did but it was wrong anyways. Classic Eli people and as the others left, Eli adjusted the bag on his back and walked on over to the teacher. "Uh, what's up Reardon?

"Uh, what's up Reardon?" Eli asked. "Don't look so nervous. You're not in trouble," Kyle told him with a small chuckle. "As you may or may not know, we're doing a rock version of Romeo and Juliet," he continued. This is definitely a challenge, he thought to himself. But if anyone could pull it off, it was his students. Which brought him back to the subject at hand. "Now as far as props, cast, and the like, we're set. What we need...is music. And I was wondering---if you have time with all your classes---if you wouldn't mind maybe coming up with something for us?" he requested.

Not in trouble. That was a nice change in pace for him. Usually it is 'go to the dean' or 'don't come to this class again'. But he was fine, and relief washed over him as he gave a smile to his teacher. But if he wasn't in trouble, which rocked, then what did they need to talk about. The year only just started, so usually he would be figuring out mentally what the possibilities were. But right now; he was drawing a serious blank. It was something that seemed kind of cheesy. A Romeo and Juliet Rock musical? Sounded like shotty boring music to him, so when he heard it he fought to roll his eyes. It was Shakespeare stuff, the kind of stuff that he failed at in high school. But he might as well get all of the info before completely dismissing it. Well, no. I didn't know about that but school is where you learn about new stuff, right?".
When Reardon sold it to him, he wondered. If it is a college production then more or less agents will be there. Exposure was always good, if not just for Eli then for his band. They would have an opportunity to do musical works to redefine that ancient literature shit that old guy made up. He was in, but it was a question if the band would be in it or not. Rock was there specialty but he didn't exactly want to make the decision for them. "That sounds cool. I am pretty sure me and the B.H.B will be able to help". He gave a nod and loved that he had the decency to not say the full name of the band in front of a teacher. Broken-Heart Bastards; not exactly PG-13 material.

"Well, no. I didn't know about that but school is where you learn about new stuff, right?" Eli asked. "My thoughts exactly," Kyle agreed. "That sounds cool. I am pretty sure me and the B.H.B. will be able to help". Kyle bit back a chuckle. Well, he certainly has manners, he thought to himself. "Now I understand that Shakespeare probably isn't up your alley, but I think it'd be a good challenge for you musically," he told him. Then, "And I appreciate the abbreviation, though it was unnecessary. I just wouldn't announce during the performance that the name of the band is the Broken Hearted Bastards," he said. "I've heard some of your sets. You guys are good," he continued.

This was what he always liked about Reardon. What he liked about every teacher that was laid back. Sometimes Eli didn't even think of them as authority. That is easily seen in his respect levels, but also because of the way he can click with them. Eli and Reardon both loved music, so the clashing rate between them is at a minimal point two.
Eli gave him a thankful nod when he complimented on the band. They did pretty good if Eli could say himself. And he did - often. ''We do what we can, you know? But if you want you can drop by LA Fever some time and check us out''. Hopefully not any time soon because thanks to his run in with Evans, he is banned from LA-F for a little while. Which sucked shit!
The third warning bell rang, and Eli had to go. Reardon has his digits anyways if he had to call about anything. Eli sighed, hands in his jacket pockets as he looked from the time on his phone to Reardon. ''Anyways, I had better go. But give us a ring when you need me''. He gave him a smile as he walked towards the door. Psychology; here he comes.

Eli gave Kyle a thankful nod. "We do what we can, you know? But if you want you can drop by LA Fever some time and check us out." "I just may do that." Kyle was about to say more when the bell rang. "Anyways, I had better go. But give us a ring when you need me." "I certainly will," Kyle promised. He watched as the boy walked out of the class and then turned his attention to his lesson plan for the next class. He let a small smile grace his features. Things were coming together for the production.
OOC I think this wraps it up.
