STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Cunning - Morgan has lived for a long time hoarding powers and keeping herself under the radar of hunters. If she has her way this pattern will continue and she will acquire more power without anyone being any the wiser.
- Power - She has made a habit of collecting favors from the wealthy and powerful and has no problems using this to her advantage.
- Computer wiz - She may be old but she does know her way around computers. She has no problem using this to change up the grades and attendance of those pesky NY fae to get them in her office.
- Leadership - She is a leader and those around her know it. She is an alpha female. Don't mess with her.
- Martial Arts - She's not just a power wielder she knows how to fight when she needs to.
POWERS:
- Power stealing - She can steal powers from the fae.
- Fairy fire - She can cause a greenish yellow fire to form where she wills it.
- Biomancy - The ability to heal herself from injury. While this does help her if she uses it too much it can do more harm than good.
- Teleportation - She travels short distances by appearing to be enveloped by crows.
- Glamoring - She can cast illusions on herself to make herself appear different.
- Energy Constructs - She can use energy to make anything she desires or can think of. This power exhausts her after use and if used too often can kill her.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Temper - Her rages have brought people to their knees and it makes it hard for her to fight when she gets truely angry at someone.
- Lonely - She lost her spouse a long time ago and she still morns his loss. Those that know this can cut through her emotional armor like butter.
- Migraines - The amount of power she wields causes her to get wicked migraines that can cause TIAs or mini strokes. If this happens often enough she will die.
- Family - She has a daughter with downs syndrome and this can be considered a weakness that can be used against her.
- Sob story - If you can spin a good story of how crappy your life is she will probably let you live.
LIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Intelligence - If she has to deal with folks its easier if they are smart.
- Technology - She loves the latest gadget or gizmo that comes out.
- Theatre - She loves Broadway and musicals
- Singing - She likes to sing. She'll never be star quality but it makes her happy.
- Nutella - She loves this stuff.
DISLIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Impudence - She hates smartasses
- Broccoli - It tastes bitter to her.
- Stupidity - If she has to deal with stupid people they usually die.
- Loose Ends - There is no need to be messy.
- Hunters - They make her life so much harder than it needs to be.
HISTORY
It was a cold rainy day in 1662 when Morrigan Brandubh came into the world. Born of a violent rape the young woman that would eventually become Morgan Brand had a horrible life from the start. Given over to a brothel in shame she was forced to earn her living in ways that would horrify and shock the people of today. It wasn't until she tried to escape her life at sixteen that Morgan realized the truth of her origins. She got help from an unlikely source, a male fae. Running off with him she soon found herself falling in love with her rescuer.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
At first life was beautiful. Morrigan had two children and a home to call her own with a loving husband by her side. Then the day came when she was tracked down. Her husband was captured and sent off to places unknown and her children were sold off while she was locked away. She spent time in prison being used and abused and after a while she grew numb to the affects until the day they brought her husband to her and began to torture him while she watched helplessly.
Once they were done they tossed him in the cell with her and the unthinkable happened. She tried to heal his wounds as best she could but she was so weak she stole his power instead killing him. Not knowing what she had done she wailed loud enough for the guards to come take her husband's body away.
This trend kept going for a while, bodies being dropped in on her at the brink of death only to have their life accidentally taken by her until one day she was removed from her cell. She was bathed and dressed as if she was royalty and presented to a man who called himself her father. He told her that he had captured her and tortured her in order to mold her into the perfect killing machine. One that killed without thought or remorse. He explained that her family's powers came about from stealing from the fae and that if she wanted to regain her respect the best thing she could do would be to go along with the family plan. Not knowing what else to do she agreed and bided her time.
Eventually she was told to marry a demon in the hopes of linking the family lines together. Secretly her father wanted her to kill her husband and allow her family to steal his power. Feigning acceptance she presented her father with what he thought was a dead body but in reality was her husband sleeping. Taking advantage of the confusion Morrigan took her father's power and killed him. Deciding to leave the scene she and her new husband fled and traveled the world for many years till they arrived in America. Eventually, she and her husband parted ways and she went in search of her children.
She found them to her sorrow, her daughter had been thrown into the same life she herself grew up in and her son ran a bordello of his own in New Orleans. Biding her time, she managed to work her way into where her daughter was and they tried to escape only to be stopped by her son. With her back to the wall and desperate to be free with her daughter she lashed out with her gift stealing power and killed her son. The merging of the energies twisted her but she and her daughter escaped.
Eventually, she recovered and did her best to take care of her daughter on her own - The child having downs syndrome in an age where such children were often abandoned. Morrigan did her best to give her daughter the life she never had. Recently, she married and fell in love with a mortal man who had a heart condition. This opened her heart to others but when he died she went back to her power stealing ways justifying it as a way to keep her daughter safe.
As the years passed she grew colder and harder. The pain of her son's death and her first husband's death ate at her and made her harden her heart to others. Not wanting to be hurt again. She began practicing her power draining on fae folk. Changing out the gifts as she learned to control her powers. She found it was easier to close her heart to the agony she caused and the dead look in the bodies of her victims. She actually began to enjoy it as she felt the rush of power. What she wouldn't admit was that she was addicted to it and needed it.
It was a wonder that she didn't get caught as the centuries passed but she was always able to evade capture and keep harvesting abilities. In time her ability to summon crows made people fear she was the reincarnation of the war goddess Morrigan. A myth she encouraged to drive people mad with fear. Combined with her fairy fire she was able to terrify entire fae circles into giving away others of their kind. A fact that made her feel a sense of pride.
As the years continued her wealth and power grew and she began to use it to build a life of considerable decadence. Keeping in mind her daughter as she made men and women give themselves over to her in the very ways she had been forced to submit so long ago. She had become the one thing she despised a creature who no longer cared for others but only for herself and her daughter.
Then one night in Detroit she saw a rare sight. A purple moon which meant that a new batch of fairies had been created. After making sure her daughter was asleep, she crept upon the fairies while they were partying and attacked. She managed to steal the powers of six; killing them as a result but the others got away.
After what seemed like an eternity; she managed to get the jump on one of the fae. A small puny boy named Hensley who seemed to not really grasp the danger he was in. After securing him away from her home she is now plotting how best to finish the plan she started.
She began simply enough by building an academy and securing her position as principal. It was here that she would send out letters to any and all students that she thought had fae potential. The first few accidents could be explained away. After all its amazing how allergies can subdue a victim long enough to steal their power. Soon more would come to the school only to realize the true terror that reigned in the school. It is still rumored that at night in the old basement by the boiler room you can hear the anguished screams of the students who died and an evil wicked laughter that chills the bones of those unlucky to hear it.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I would like to see her develop into a strong woman whose twisted sense of justice causes her to come into conflict with Lana and her fairy friends.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

She found herself looking at the file of a transfer student from LA High. Lana Evans seemed to be quite the trouble maker and was known for damaging the locker room after cheer leading practice. Looking at the girl's picture she flipped through the file until she had read it all. Then it was off to search the net for medical records on Miss Evans. Interesting, she had several trips to the hospital until recently. Then the visits stopped. She would have to call the girl in and finish what she had started. With Hensley in her custody and Lana that would leave four of them.
Rising she stretched and looked at the latest collection of drawings that Sioban had made. She looked like a young girl of 18 still thanks to her half fae heritage and her mothers demonic energies but she would never grow past the mentality of a seven year old. She just could not keep track of things. The one thing the child excelled in was music. She could hear a piece once and replicate it almost exactly. Her mind seemed to be able to make sense of musical notes easier than the written word.
There was a knock on her door and she looked over as the secretary told her that her next appointment was here. The boy had sassed his teacher in class and was on the verge of being in serious trouble. With a slow smile she turned and nodded. When she was done the young man would be wishing he had been polite.
