- Heights – She’s absolutely afraid of heights.

HISTORY
Raye was born on February 14th 1988 at the San Francisco General Hospital in a C-section that gave birth to David and Raye Shields. Both grew up on the richer side of town until their parents got divorced because of their father’s job as a marine, when David and Raye were only 9 years old. Seeing that Raye absolutely hates her father’s job, she didn’t hesitate one second to go with their mom. Raye actually hasn’t seen her father in over six years now, as he came to visit her a couple times before in the past, but more about that later in the history.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
Their mother; Josephine Barnfields, is a hairdresser and a successful one at that. She go into an accident when David and I were little and she got into a wheelchair ever since, refusing to learn how to walk again. It is also a big reason why we moved; the place where her mother now works, is invalid friendly and she can easily access it and move around in her wheelchair. Yeah, try finding a place like that elsewhere, I bet you won’t find it.. ever.
About 7 years ago, Raye’s life completely changed, when she met the one year older Xzavier Evans, whom she immediately felt an attraction to. They were both hunters, as she grew up to be a hunter – her mother was a hunter, until she retired and became a hairdresser, and raised her and David to be hunters, too. There was an instant connection and the two fell in love. They eventually started sleeping with each other, too and she fell pregnant, around the same time he left for his own personal drama. At first she was fine with it, because she thought she could just do it on her own, but when her parents found out, on separate terms, both got angry and it actually went as far as that her mother kicked her out of the house. She got herself a job and started going to school to become a teacher and slowly got slightly more and more resentful of Xzavier for leaving, making her choose not to go out and find him and tell him about their kid. She also decided she was going to keep the kid and asked a few hunter friends to help her do so. One of them took her in for a few months until she had herself a job and a condo.
Now, six years later, she raises little Riley all on her own, with the occasional help of her friends and she became a kindergarten teacher, once hoping she will reach up higher and teach at a high school. Her brother is on and off in the picture and her parents – mostly her Dad, refuses to see her, although technically she wasn’t a child anymore when she got pregnant, she was 19. She finds it really irrational and thinks that if she’s ever going to forgive him for it, he needs to come to her and not her to him. Her mother has been on the road of forgiveness for a while now, but even that is a slow process. Her brother David tries to keep out of it, for which she can’t really blame him. She’s still a hunter and has completely given in to that lifestyle, next to being a teacher and raising her daughter.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Raye has a past with Xzavier, he’s the father of her daughter Riley, even though he doesn’t know that. She’s also a hunter and knows her way around with people, besides that, she lives in New York, although I do plan on having her come to LA around Season 4?[/BLOCKQUOTE]
