- Budo- Not a Martial art form that normally tests for belts, Budo believes that you should learn the art to train your body and becoming in harmony with it and your mind and spirit. Jyo studies under his best friend who is a master, but often finds that he’s unable to concentrate.
- Business- Gangland is a business to Jyo. Drugs and violence aren’t uncommon to the hippies in Corporate America, why should he look at what he’s doing as anything less?
- Loyalty- Believe it or not, Jyo can be very loyal to his Gang, and a few select people outside it. To anyone that betrays him or his gang, Jyo is a deadly force to be reckoned with.
- Relationships- Jyo is a natural born flirt and ladies man. His mother would tell you that Jyo flirted with the nurses while they were in the hospital the week after he was born.
- Power/Psychic- Jyo has precognition and retro-cognition and Prescience. He can tell when things have, are, and will happen, making him a vital asset to anyone with him on their side

- Concentration- Jyo doesn’t normally concentrate on one thing at a time. He thinks he’s a master multi-tasker, but the truth is, is that he often forgets details of what he’s doing because he’s to busy trying to do five big things at once… He’s definitely not the one to trust to bring the hot dog buns home for dinner…
- Ruthless- If you’re from a rival gang, a betrayer to his gang, or not a member of his gang at all, Jyo could care less about you, in fact he’s likely to kill you himself, just to prove he can. It’s the law of the jungle. If you don’t like it, make money yourself and buy form the rich white drug dealers.
- Kids- Jyo doesn’t want kids himself, but he loves them. This is the guy who’s been suspected of disloyalty twice because he wouldn’t shoot another pregnant gangster, or a Schism man carrying his own babby to the park. Jyo will stop what ever he’s doing, even if it’s important to protect the life of children.
- Family- Jyo has a warped sense of family, because of what happened at home. He refuses to become a father, because in his experiace fathers are deadbeats with no balls who can’t do anything for themselves. And he refuses to make a woman a mother because mothers are just there to be abused. But brotherhood he understands as doing everything for you brother, sounds good so far right? Doing everything for your brother until you have to double tap him for not doing the same for you.
- Powers/Psychic- Jyo is neutral to the world of magic because he doesn’t know he’s a psychic. His father was the psychic in the family before Jyo, but because Jyo cared so little for his father, and because his father couldn’t cope with the things he saw and drank himself stupid, neither one ever talked about their vision. On top of that, he has no control when a vision will come or what the vision is. All he knows is that there are times he’s saved his brothers’ and sisters’ lives because of the random strange things he sees. He doesn’t know there’s a word for it and he doesn’t know that’s it not abnormal. The only people he’s told about the visions are Ice and Ice’s baby momma.

- Money- Jyo grew up so poor his mother often couldn’t afford basic necessities. Now that he has access to loads of money, he only gives it up in the case of the Virtues Fraternity and Providence.
- Girls/Sex- His mother would tell you that Jyo could flirt with everything in a skirt from the moment he popped out. To this day, satisfying his body is on the top of Jyo’s most likes list.
- Fraternity- Jyo’s oldest brother left for College and Med School when Jyo was inducted to Rose after his little brother died. Therefore the only people Jyo had to lean on were the members of the Black Rose Gang. He quickly learned that when everyone gave their all to a cause, nothing could stop a faction of people that called each other brother.
- Parties- Jyo lives to socialize with his brothers and sisters. Though of coarse when their not around, he’ll party with anyone willing to fraternize with a hardened killer.
- Loyality- Even if it puts you on the wrong side of the line from him, Jyo loves to see people stay loyal to their cause. He absolutely loaths disloyalty. He’s killed people disloyal to other gangs before...

- Parental responsibilities- Probably the only Gangster you will ever meet that uses a condom. He refuses to become a parent because he won’t turn into his.
- Asian Food- Because his whole life people expected him to eat nothing but rice with chop sticks, Jyo has developed a distaste for Asian Food, especially Sushi. He’ll only eat it if his brothers and sisters want it, and he gets out voted.
- Drugs- Despite Black Rose demanding that all of its members stay off their product, Jyo would have hated it anyway. His little brother was killed because he looked like a guy that owed a rival dealer money.
- Religion- Jyo looks at religion as an opiate of the masses. While he believes in deity, he believes that anything that would take away from a person’s choice because deity told them too is bull, and a way to mind control them.
HISTORY
About twenty years ago, a gang came on the scene turning Gangland on it’s head. It was founded by a woman, tired of being abused in Gangland, history knows her as only The Cat. She founded it under a flag of an all black rose stem with five thorns each standing for one of the greatest five people; God, Family, Rose, Council, individual; and three petals for their three virtues; Fraternity, Providence, and Patience. For years the gang held together, until a group of rebels decided that the individual mattered more. They split off, and civil war ensued and has continued till today. In the middle of it, a member of the schism faction returned to Black Rose; he pleaded with The Cat and begged her to let him prove himself to her. She allowed him, and for his double betrayal became known as the Snake. He was a loyal member, teaching the Black Rose how to fight the people that were once their brothers and sisters, and became the only lover of The Cat. To this day, no Black Rose has lived up the glory and combative skill these two members had, only a few have come close. Jyo is one of those people.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
He became a member at a young age, about fourteen, because his home life was broken. His father was a violent drunk and his mother worked all day and all night to support them. When his father drank Jyo and his older and younger brother had to flee the house to escape abuse, but his family lived so far under the poverty line that they went out of the frying pan and into the fryer. Gangland ruled their streets with an iron hand. He saw it as join or be killed, either at home or on the streets. If he was going to die anyway, he figured he’d make the best of it, and make some dough while he was at it. A few Asian gangs tried to recruit Jyo, but he held strong and out till he found his perfect fit. When his younger brother was killed by Black Rose’s schism group, Jyo put in work with the Black Rose to get revenge. But the money was great, and the people were friendly, especially a guy known as Ice. Quickly Ice and Jyo were best friends, and Jyo became inducted to the Black Rose.
His life’s been a blur since then of women, violence, and streets. A good portion of his money goes to helping his mother support his older brother while the guy studies to become a doctor. The rest goes to help Ice support his kid and baby-momma. He doesn’t quite know how it happened, but eventually around the time he was becoming a young adult he became a member of Council, the Black Rose leadership group. That meant he had the run of the streets with only a few select people, Ice included, to check him. Jyo was already deathly loyal to the Black Rose, and this cemented his views on the reality that the Gang really was his only home, and that he was going to die for these people, as the individual ought for Council, Gang, or family.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
To be honest I have no clue how I’m going to grow Jyo in this universe. But, I think as he grows and develops he might grow up and start to see the dangers of Gangland… Also I’d like to see him grow into his powers. Maybe become a murder for higher for the highest bidder…[/BLOCKQUOTE]

”Yea I hear you. Oh, you guys are out of formula.” He stopped and waited for a moment while someone could be heard shouting on the other line. Then a moment of silence. “Yea, kinda one. I’ll pick you guys up some.” Another pause and the man smiled. “Alright. See you later.” Jyo hung up the phone and looked at it a moment. Ice the only reel brother Jyo had. And the only one that knew Jyo was psycotic. One second Jyo was there the next he wasn’t and the one following that he knew something that had or was going to happen. Other times, he just knew things about the now. He sighed and pulled his gun out as he rounded a corner, sure enough there was a schimist. Jyo smiled. “Well hello there, traitor.” Jyo stopped, this wasn’t right… He stopped then smiled. “You’re here for forgiveness?” The kid looked at him shocked. Well the Snake turned, so could someone else right? Have to give them the chance based on the concept of fraternity and patience right? “Come on.” Jyo put his gun away and waved the kid with him. Well the day won’t be a total loss with only six hundred brought in… I got a new Snake.
