HISTORY
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
Robert met Melissa Daniels almost 30 years ago at a Science fiction convention. They continued to date and spend time together till they married one balmy day in June. In short order they had a child and named her Merry because she giggled as a baby shortly after her birth.
Robert was a wealthy entrepreneur who managed his own record label and he signed many famous singers. He and Melissa managed to bring the business into the thriving mega corporation it is today.
Life was good till the night Melissa was killed. That night is shrouded in mystery all Robert knows is that Merry was sleeping in her bedroom and over her head was written "Someday soon." in Melissa's blood.
Melissa was unrecognizable. Bits of her were strewn throughout the home. After that night something in Robert broke and was never the same again. He became obsessed with finding his wife's killer and would be gone for days at a time. He was on the verge of losing custody of this daughter when he met the woman who turned him.
She was beautiful and lonely and after hearing his tale she turned him so he could find what happened to his wife. He didn't realize what he would become at first but soon grew resigned to his fate.
As soon as he was able to comport himself with dignity he took over as patriarch of the family. Because Merry is his child from his human life no one has attempted to turn her yet. There simply are too many benefits to the vampires having someone who's parent is a vampire.
Robert kept Merry isolated from the vampiric community to protect her but with Connor entering into her life that has changed. He is no longer a witch but he taught his daughter all he knew in the hopes that she could live a better life.
He has often thought of turning her and played with the idea but her joy of life makes him hesitate (as well as the idea that it would be a bit incestuous to do so). He has occasional bouts of moodiness and can be paranoid about what what she is up to.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Robert loves his daughter and will probably hurt anyone who tries to hurt her. This makes him very chaotic at times but he does what he can to keep his daughter safe from harm. This means he could go evil or stay good it all depending on what is most advantageous to his family.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

20 Years| Merry
Robert looked down at Celeste and brushed the hair out of her eyes. The bite mark was completely healed and he had managed to help soothe her pain from her last breakup. He'd been caring for the girl since he rescued her from a john years ago and she had turned into a healthy and vibrant woman who had confidence in herself.
Hearing noise in the other room he made sure her daughter had dinner after closing all the curtains just to be safe. Melody was a happy child and only knew Robert was a friend of her mothers that had helped them out. He preferred to keep it that way to avoid awkward questions. Relaxing quietly he read a bedtime story to the child and once she was asleep he quietly let himself out into the night.
