STRENGTHS
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1 Very analytical: Mike tackles a problem from all angles and is good at solving things, which helps him during cases
2 Pretty good fighter: Has taken self-defense and martial arts classes since he was a kid. However, though he’s a good fighter, he’s by no means a black belt and he’s always looking to improve his knowledge of self-defense.
3 Kind hearted: Mike is compassionate towards others, works to help anyone he can to the best of his abilities.
4 Knows about the Supernatural: Mike has known about the Supernatural since he was a kid due to the fact that his best friend was a vampire. He has seen both the good and the bad side of the Supernatural and unless something goes against his moral code, he’s more inclined to side with the Supernatural world.
5 Loyal: loyalty is very important to Mike and he’ll stick by those he’s loyal to until he’s given a reason not to.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1 Human: Mike is only human with no supernatural abilities which means that he can be hurt easily
2 Cynical: Even though he’s kind-hearted, in some ways, Mike’s view of the world is jaded which comes from being a cop and can at times be pessimistic, though he’s working on changing his outlook.
3 Acrophobic: Mike is extremely scared of heights, but tries to manage it as best as he can. After all, if he’s chasing a suspect, it’ll do him no good to lose it if he has to follow them up a flight of stairs or something.
4 Temper: though not shown very often, Mike can have a quick temper, and when it explodes, watch out.
5 Richard: even though Mike hasn’t seen his younger brother in years, he’d still do anything he possibly could for him and would drop everything and run to him if he thought he was in trouble.
LIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1 Helping people: he became a cop so that he could make a difference. Even though there’s a lot of bad in the world, he hopes he’s at least making things a little better.
2 Chocolate brownies: though he eats pretty healthy, he enjoys junk food in moderation, especially chocolate brownies.
3 Music: especially rock and roll, though he’ll listen to pretty much anything. It helps him to unwind and sometimes can trigger ideas when he’s working on a case.
4 Reading: sometimes, he just likes a quiet night where he stretches out on the couch and read a good book.
5 Hanging out with friends: even cops need downtime and what better way to relax than to be with friends?.
DISLIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
1 Not knowing where Richard is: his younger brother Richard took off shortly after he was turned and Mike hasn’t seen him since. He doesn’t like it, but has no idea where to start looking for him.
2 Fakes and phonies: with Mike, what you see is pretty much what you get and he expects the same courtesy form other people.
3 People who think they’re superior: he doesn’t like being looked down upon, and it can really grate on his nerves.
4 Blurring the line between right and wrong: Mike has a strong moral compass and understands that there’s not always a clear-cut answer, but also knows that there’s some things you just don’t compromise on.
5 People setting him up: he’s a big boy and perfectly capable of finding his own date, thank you very much..
HISTORY
Mike grew up in New York with his parents Keith and Sarah Corbett and his brother Richard, who was four years younger than him. His was a typical childhood until he was about ten-years old where he made friends with a fifteen-year old boy named Jesse Soul. To Mike’s surprise, never came around until it was night and he always had an aura of mystery about him. It was about a year later that he learned his friend’s secret---Jesse was a vampire. Mike became intrigued with the Supernatural world and Jesse explained everything about it in terms that the boy could understand and without going into detail, though he gave more details when he was older. However, when Mike was sixteen and Richard was twelve, tragedy struck. Richard was in a car crash and was gravely injured. To save his life, Jesse turned Richard. The boy seemed to take to being a vampire pretty well, but when he was fifteen, Richard ran away from home and no one’s seen him since. Devastated by his younger brother’s disappearance and feeling like he let him down, Mike vowed to never make that mistake again and started studying criminal justice in high school and college, joining the police force when he was old enough. Due to his friendship with Jesse, Mike is well-versed in the Supernatural world and tends to side with them unless something goes completely against his moral code. He has just recently moved to LA and Is working at the Los Angeles Police Department.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Experience | Other Characters
Mike walked up to the crime scene.
“What’ve we got?” he asked.
“Nasty attack. I’m surprised there’s anything left to identify,” another officer asked. Mike knelt down by the body and narrowed his eyes. Things were messy. Werewolf probably, he mused. Their attacks were usually messy and nasty-looking. However, in their human form, they probably felt bad about what had happened…unless they turned out to be some kind of psychopath that enjoyed destruction and carnage. There are creatures that get off on that sort of thing, he reminded himself. He took note of the deep scratches all over the body.
“Oh, boy. This is bad,” he muttered to himself. The body actually looked like two werewolves had gone after it, which was pretty strange. Werewolves didn’t tend to attack in packs. In their wolf form, they tended to fly solo, though in human form they’d gravitate towards one another. “CSIs get everything they need?” he queried, standing up.
“No, they’re still gathering stuff.”
“Okay.” He ran his fingers through his hair. This wasn’t good. Not good at all…
