STRENGTHS
▬ Liar; She has an incredible silver tongue, able to conjur an air tight lie almost on command. A life of substance abuse and living in rougher areas has taught her what it takes to survive. She can be incredibly street smart, knowing just what to say to get by without getting hurt.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Manipulative; She comes and goes easily in your life, only staying long enough to get what she needs. Telling you anything you want to hear, Lelia will do anything to get her fix, or whatever else she needs to get by. She has very few qualms about using people for the things they have, making sure to keep her distance emotionally from others.
▬ Fighter; Lelia is tough when it comes to dealing with threats, especially on her own life. She can take care of herself, and no matter what happens she usually lands on her feet. She has that tough outter shell where she doesn't let it show she is bothered on the surface, no matter what is going on.
▬ Connected; Lelia knows where to get what you need, who has it, and where they keep it usually. She is very well connected, and keeps close tabs on those around her. She never goes into a situation without the details, she is very knowledgeable in the field she has to compete in.
▬ Instincts; She has incredible instincts, having lived her life by herself the past several years. That terrible gut feeling that says somethings wrong? To her that is always a sign to back down or out. She has an incredible sense of danger, knowing when something is just too big for her to handle.
WEAKNESSES
▬ Family; The main reason she ran off to begin with was losing her family. She cares for them more than she wants to admit, rather than dealing with her pain she numbs it by pretending her life didn't exist before now. Even now there is a chance that they could talk her off of this ledge she has put herself on.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Pride; Even she can see that this life is no way to live, but she is far too proud to admit that she was ever wrong. This is one of the main reasons Lelia hasn't contacted Sienna or Merry. She can't admit to the fact that her choice only disgraced her parents memory and shamed those who were alive still.
▬ Emotionally Distant; Lelia has issues, that much is easily obvious. She can't commit to anyone, nor does she have very many friends. She is terrified to let people in knowing that they could be taken from her as quickly as they entered her life. She has this pessimistic view that forces her to believe that her only option is lonliness, doing things on her own.
▬ Sienna; She misses Sienna more than she would ever admit, but she knows how much leaving must have hurt her. Realizing this, she figures it would be best to let Sienna move on and try to forget her rather than facing anything she could possibly have to say. This is perhaps the hardest feeling to kill for her, thus why even after all this time she hasn't managed to push it out.
▬ Addiction; Years of pushing different substances have unfortunately left her as a junky herself. She has a dependancy on what she sells, getting her into trouble often with those she sells it for when she comes up short month after month. Many mornings she wakes up in places she has never seen before, in beds with people she can't even remember the name of.
LIKES
▬ Dancing; Given the kind of life she leads dancing is the only time she can actually express herself. Any given night one can find her on the dance floor of the local night clubs, though she tends to live dangerously and haunt Bloodlust.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Partying; She spends most of her nights out a party somewhere, drinking, and dancing with strangers and friends. Rarely is she ever at her home, as it is a reminder of the family she no longer has around.
▬ Thrill Seeking; Lelia will do anything to get her adrenaline pumping. She is very daring, doing things like rock climbing, street racing, and other dangerous activities that carry a high risk of injury or death. It is the only thing that makes her feel as good as her bad habits when she is without.
▬ Art; Lelia can draw and she can do so very well. One of the few things she actually likes about herself is her ability to illistrate the things she sees in her mind. There is no greater feeling than being able to turn your thoughts into something more tangible.
▬ Travelling; Her soul belongs to the open road. She loves being able to go anywhere, do anything, and to see it all. This is the one thing that anyone could offer her that she would never turn down.
DISLIKES
▬ Crashing; Whether it be after drinking, adrenaline lowering, or other undesireable activities she hates it. Living her day life is a challenge for her when she would rather spend her time partying, trying to escape the things she had to deal with in her head during the day.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Questions; Not unsual for someone like her, but Lelia dislikes being asked questions. She hates to talk about her past and several aspects of her current life she would rather not share with the class. People who talk alot and love to gossip are her worst enemy.
▬ Sob Stories; Everyone has one, she doesn't care to hear yours or tell you hers. She believes that life should be about living, doing what you want, not dwelling on things you can't change, despite her doing just that most nights herself.
▬ Clingy Men; While she loves to go out and flirt, she hates running into that one night stand that calls her all the time. Lelia hates strings, especially when she didn't find the guy attractive to begin with. The worst sort of person is the one that clings on after a drunk encounter.
▬ Herself; Every day of her life, regardless of whether or not she is sober she is aware of what she has done. Lelia hates herself for not being able to get through this, like her sister did. She hates the fact that she can't stop wallowing in self pity and pick herself back up.
HISTORY
There were alot of adjustments to get used to in her life. Lelia grew up in the English country side with her mother and sister, but was quickly forced to move when her mother got a job offer. California wasn't so bad, though she missed most of the friends she had back at home. Moving halfway around the world was not exactly easy for anyone, yet in time she would adjust to the difference. Just like her sister, Lelia had also been affected positively by the change for awhile, until their father started to get sick, putting alot of strain on the family after such a life altering transition.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
They all handled their grief in different ways, Lelia was not as strong as she pretended to be on the surface. At first she seemed like she was starting to deal with the pain, having Merry and Sienna at her side, but then the worst of it hit. Their mother died in a car accident, that was the final pillar that collapsed her ability to cope. Shutting down entirely, Lelia locked herself in her room for several days, only coming out once she had made up her mind to leave. Without any real notice, Lelia left, leaving Sienna behind to grieve the passing of their parents alone.
It was not long before Lelia fell in with a bad crowd as a way to cope with life. Too much happened too fast, she just wanted to forget that it all had happened. Meeting up with a man who promised to help get her set-up, she soon fell into a life of delivering illegal things, partying, and she became an alcoholic even though she'd never admit it. She threw away everything because she couldn't cope with her own life, wanting to be numb to the pain. She went on like this for a few years, drifting from place to place until she came to settle in LA. It was here she would finally stop to drown herself in her own self pity, picking up where she left off by falling in with another rough crowd.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Well she has a substance abuse issue (though in posts it'll be left to assumption due to the site rating haha) so I would like to see her overcome her problems, including being an alcoholic. Having been hurt by losing her family so quickly, I'd like to see her eventually make the right sort of friends, getting her to open up and let people in closer. As for fitting her into the overall scheme of things, I'm not sure where she'll fit just yet but hopefully through interaction I can figure that out. Eventually she'll come to make amends with her twin sister, as best as she can given the situation.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

The sunlight from the window landed on her cheek, causing Lelia to stir. Opening one eye slowly, she raised an arm to cover her eyes and block out the sun. Her mouth felt dry, not an entirely new sensation, and she didn't recognize where she was. All she could remember was going to the dance club last night, some songs that played, and some guy she was talking to. Sitting up slowly, Lelia yawned as she looked around the room, this definitely was not her home. That was when she finally became aware of another presence, there was someone sleeping in the bed next to her. Blinking her eyes for a moment, Lelia slipped out of the bed quietly, finding her pants and her jacket.
There was nothing out of the ordinary here for her, sneaking out of their homes after a night of drinking and dancing. God forbid if she ever stayed she might find someone she liked, but everything in her screamed to run. She could never stop long enough to let anyone close to her heart, she never wanted to feel that pain again when they left. Hitting the side walk on such a bright morning, Lelia fished a pair of glasses out of her pocket, sliding them on so that she could actually see her surroundings. She was downtown somewhere, the area didn't look as bad as she was used to, but she couldn't read the street sign from this distance, especially not with her head feeling like it was going to split in two.
"Just my luck.." she said, sighing as she looked around for her car. Nothing, it was nowhere to be seen, he must have driven her here. Sighing softly, Lelia started to hoof it, realizing she would look stupid if she went back inside and asked for a ride. What was she going to do, go back upstairs and tell him that she didn't realize she didn't drive her before she bailed on him? That would go over pretty well, even she didn't have the ability to lie that well. The neighborhood didn't look so bad, maybe she could hitch a ride with someone, she was definitely no stranger to that either.
