STRENGTHS
▬ Magic; Wes is especially gifted in the art of Wiccan magic, even Telekinesis. He can wield even the most advanced spells to full potential with a bit of practice, though what he is known for is how well he can wield the telekinesis gifted to most witches.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Athelete; He can take a beating, that is for sure. Wes is well built, strong, and incredibly durable. Even off the field he has a commanding presence, able to easily handle himself in a fight even without his powers. Most women faun over him due to the fact that he is packing some serious muscle tone.
▬ Clever; Unlike most meat head jocks, he is very quick on his feet. Wes can react quickly to most situations, figuring out a plan of attack that could work for the situation. He has become pretty good at improvising, using whatever is readily available to him to succeed.
▬ Commanding Presence; Another noteable thing about him is his commanding presence. People listen to him, as if he was a natural born leader. While they might not all like him, they begrudgingly respect him and his abilities.
▬ Manipulative; Wes knows exactly what buttons to press, when to press them, and when to sit back and watch you meltdown. He is excellent and getting other people to do what he wants, holding the past over them, generally doing whatever he has to do to succeed in his goals.
WEAKNESSES
▬ Temper; It's not exactly a secret, Wes has an alpha male personality. When pushed or challenged too much he quickly loses his temper, though only in extreme cases is it ever violent. He can be quick to cast judgement though sometimes he can be talked down by the rest of the coven.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Insecure; While he is sure of his own abilities and recognizes talent amongst others, he views it as a threat to his own self image of being the best. He feels no remorse and does not hesitate to hinder others for the sake of his own personal image.
▬ Kyra; It goes without saying that she is one of his greatest weaknesses. Even if he can come across as a jerk sometimes, he still cares for her. If someone were to get their hands on Kyra he would do anything to get her back, even walk blindly into hell.
▬ Lazy; When it comes to school work, it is definitely not always his strong suit. Being uninterested and lazy by nature when it comes to academics, he'll often find someone to pawn his homework off on. His entire sports career rides on his grades, thus making this the one thing that could make or break his normal life.
▬ Pressure; Wes is under nearly constant pressure, from friends, from his own expectations, but mostly from his father. He is expected to be the best in everything he does, often being pushed and bullied into accomplishing just that. That is where his attitude usually comes from, the reason that he can be a jerk himself.
LIKES
▬ Magic; He loves it almost to the point of being an addict. He uses it for everything which is why he seems to be one of the most knowledgeable in the circle. For him using the craft is like using his own limbs to accomplish a task.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Sports; Being a football captain himself, he is obviously into sports. His reasons for playing are not his own, but he feels free when he is out there performing for the crowd.
▬ Fame; Wes is a glory hound, doing anything he can to earn recognition for everything he accomplishes. He loves to be in the spotlight, part of his conditioning as he grew up. He has a massive ego and believes that he is meant to do something far greater than anyone could dream of.
▬ Heavy Music; The louder the better, Wes drives the people around him nuts. His music of choice is metalcore, it gets him going when he is in a rough patch, usually just before a game. Concerts and parties are what make up his choice of nightly haunts.
▬ Girls!; Even though he has a girl friend, that doesn't always stop him from looking. Wes would do anything for Kyra, but tends to have wandering eyes more often than not. He even uses his status and such to his advantage, thus how he gets through his immense homework loads.
DISLIKES
▬ Rodney; A fellow football player, Wes hates him with a burning passion. There is a war between the two of them, though if asked why he couldn't give you a straight answer. Perhaps it was born out of pure competative spirit, it's been quite awhile since he cared.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Demons; Once he became aware of them, he was disgusted with the idea of their existence. It wouldn't trouble Wes to go out of his way to take out a demon, especially since he loves to prove that he is the best at what he does.
▬ Everette; He doesn't dislike the man himself, but the speed at which he is picking up the craft. This is the only person that Wes considers to be a match for him and is afraid that one day Everette would be better than him. Short of helping the Hart Corporation, Wes wouldn't be troubled going out of his way to knock Ev down a peg or two.
▬ Losing; Wes is a terrible loser, usually causing him to lose his temper as well. He broods over a loss for days, usually holding a grudge against whoever beat him. He is in it to win, every single time, so unless he let you win prepare to fall out of good graces.
▬ Rules; While he has no problem making them and expecting them to be followed, Wes tends to break his own rules. Everything is a guideline to him, a challenge that he feels he has to put to the test everytime it stands between him and something he wants.
HISTORY
His mother taught him magic, his father taught him everything else. His entire life has been a vortex of pressure, pressure to be someone better than they had ended up. From a very early age Wes was pushed to be the best at everything he did, taught to excell. There was no excuse for failure in his family, failure was met with the proper punishment or being scolded. While his mother was a bit more lenient, his father absolutely rode him through out his childhood and teenage years. Claiming to do it out of love, his father saw raw talent in the boy, talent that he absolutely refused to let go to waste.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
By the time he had finished highschool, Wes was a star athelete, a model student, and a fairly strong witch. He was living up to all the dreams of his parents, though none of his own. Every single day of his life he woke up only to realize that the path he followed was far from being his own. This is what created the aggression within Wesley, the anger, and violent temper that most people have seen at one point in the friendship with him. Moving on to college, Wes hoped that it would be different, that he would have a chance to start over away from their influence.
Meeting Kyra was the very thing that tempered his anger, his aggression, making him into a more likeable guy in his college life. Though the life wasn't entirely everything he thought it would be, he still carried with him the ghost of their expectations. Joining a hidden college wicca group, Wes quickly felt like he was at home amongst them, a place where he could be himself. It was not long before he realized however that he was the rising star amongst them, the one who knew the most about the magic that they practiced.
Establishing himself as the self titled "Ring Leader" life went on as normal for him here, as normal as he felt it would ever be. Even though it was everything he hated, he felt that he had it made here in this group. They could do whatever they wanted, at least that was the way he dreamed about it in his head. No one really understood that he was simply a ticking time bomb waiting to happen, ready to explode and shake the foundation they had all worked to build. All he needed was a trigger and that would come in the form of another talented witch, Everette.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Obviously I will actively be involved in expanding on the circles plot. But I would love to see Ev and Wes become mortal enemies, fighting on opposite sides somewhere down the line ( assuming that's fine ). Seeing as how Ev is a threat to the position of 'leader' he feels he has earned, I could see him possibly helping the Hart Corporation indirectly to hamper Ev's advancement since he is envious of this destiny they are all suppose to have or will have.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
