STRENGTHS

• Jace possesses an admirable inner strength. It is the strength of a powerful witch. To not shun from what she believes in but to stand up to others. When the situation arises the shy and coy Jace goes into hiding, and the strength within comes out.
  
• Jace has the natural magic of from her mother and the demonic energy of her father. This makes her a highly powerful but inevitably dangerous individual. But in no way will she ever be defenseless.
  
• To her friends she is loyal. It doesn't have to be a coven bond, or even an associate but if you are in trouble, she will be there for you. She puts those in her heart before herself, and doesn't want to change that about herself.
  
• To have a strong will extends off of her inner strength. The ability to do what she sets out to do, to have the determination to do what her head desires opposed to her heart.
  
• Jace holds a strong independence. In a way it makes her kind of a loner, trying to isolate herself a bit. But it is only because she doesn't want pity or charity or to have to depend on other people in LA. She wants to stand on her own two feet.

WEAKNESSES

• Under pressure, she doesn't cope well. If it is overwhelming, she can either unleash her strength or she can cower, and look for the easiest way to avoid the situation, or she will get really really pissed off.
  
• When her mind is set there is no questioning. If it is seen as a bad idea, she will find a way to still go for it. This usually leads to bad things happening and a lot of guilt afterwards, but it is apart of her that makes her instincts even more stronger.
  
• Whether it be fears of the darkness inside her or even fears of what is to come, but she is very fearful. When weird dreams come to her to she sees a sign of fate, it scares the hell out of her and closes her off more to people.
  
• The darkness within her arises at many times. Usually she uses it as a powerful tool but once she gets too emotional, stressed or overwhelmed a sudden thought could cause a great deal of trouble.
  
• A lot of messages and signs come to her in her sleep. She shares this in common with one of the members of the coven, Everette except her visions are on the past. Though having these visions usually gives her zero peace when she is sleeping, causing some tiredness and insomniac tendencies.

HISTORY

When I speak of magic and witches, you might think of robes and wands. Teens running around screaming play on words and sparks destroying giant snakes and much more. If only you knew. Magic was not that simple. It was hard, it was dangerous and it was to be learnt and not picked up. From the 1600s in Salem, the Covak line of witches brewed. That is how far back Claudia Landers was able to trace it back to. It was a line of witches blessed with the invocation of the natural elements. Swirling the skies, florishing the lands, sparking the deepest flames and washing the purest waters. All this magic wrapped up in a blessed family of purity and power. This line lead down through the years to Port Graidian, a town off the coast of the USA. Here the previous generation of Covak witches lived, and fortunately they weren't the last compared to what had happened.

Four cousins of Covak blood form there own coven, a circle of magic that they could use. Fire, air, water and earth in a unique link. They practised magics together, advanced things. But when a demon, Vince, from the depths of the blackest magics rose in order to prey on the impressionable witches, he was forced to withdraw hurting them. All because of a girl. Claudia was the most purest soul he had ever seen. In a way he was disgusted, but also saw its beauty. The elegence and the power she held inside never left his mind or his frozen heart. Claudia fell for the stranger as well, driven to him by his mysterious personality. There love excelled and not only was he involved with the coven now but Claudia was fixated on spending her life with him and with that, fell pregnant.

Though Vince was sent to destroy the coven, and cut off the Covak witch line. So he set them in sight of a mystical crystal, a quartz so different it seemed impossible. He drove the coven to believe that it held more pure power they could harness, but when they activated the crystal, evil unleashed. The evil possessed one of the witches, causing the three others to go up against it. But in order to reverse the trouble he had caused, putting his loved one and his baby in harms way, he used his energies to destroy the evil within the cousin, but killed him and another coven member, breaking the circle and forcing Claudia to dismiss witch craft for the sake of her baby.

Jacinta Landers was born on February 5th, 1993. Claudia was living as a single woman now in Miami with a beautiful little girl. But she wasn't going to hide the magic from her daughter, but was not going to let her be naive with it. She would let her daughter have the power, but not let her have a coven. It makes her more powerful, but also allows her to make rash decisions with magic. But when Jace was seven, a little ballerina with a skirt complex, she began to teach her. She showed her how to brew potions, showed her the Covak Book of Shadows and taught her through her childhood. Jace was only let to do minor magic, nothing to big as she grew up. But then again, Claudia had no idea that Vince was a demon, and that Jace was infused with dark energy along with white magic.

Jace grew up alongside her protective but free-living mother, excelling in average marks in school and having hopes to do something with her life. She just had no idea what. Jace progressed with magic rapidly but not obsessively, sometimes doing some chants with her mother. Though in the early years of adolescence, things began to happen. In anger odd things would happen. Spontaneous fires and broken glass, able to control elements to her desire. It was weird, and her mother could not explain it. She had the solo magic of a coven of at least six, and it worried her. So when Jace got humilated by her boyfriend at a freshmen dance in high school and caused the whole gym to ignite, her mother locked away the potions and books, suppressing magic for a bit and Jace went with it, but she could not stop the weird things that would happen to her.

With good enough grades and looking to the future, she set her sites on Los Angeles College. She wanted to set her mind abroad, majoring in psychology, pop culture and english at the college. She has finally arrived in Los Angeles, in hopes of finding a new life and maybe herself in the process, no matter what weird things happen in the process.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Jace is a highly-powerful witch. She will show a great advantage on the side of good, though she is conflicted with her father's power inside of her. In college and a freshmen, she will try to fit in but probably clash with the coven already present there. And through the coven, she may create a friendship with one of the powerful brothers.
