As soon as she heard the knock at the front door, she was on her feet. Her phone dropped into her pocket as Charlie made her way off of the patio and downstairs. Daniel was here! It was goofey and really weird that she is that excited for her brother to be on. In most sibling relationships, there isn't this degree of excitement that a brother has come to visit. But Charlie shot down those stairs as fast as she could. Daniel was - kind of the first child to rebel against their father. See, their father had a kind of one-sided view on how Charlie and Daniel were going to live their lives. Daniel was supposed to go to college, study sociology and get a job. That hasn't really happened, and Daniel is a performer - like Charlie. In fact, Daniel was in the Glee club a few years before Charlie, so it is natural they both love music. And if that love for music is above their father's expectations then so be it. But another main reason for her excitement is that she just thinks it is fair for the two of them to share the load of their father's disappointment together, because living with him he brings home college brochures of Yale and Harvard, preping early interviews and such. It was driving her crazy, but right now daddy dearest had an emergency meeting at work, so they would be home alone anyways. No problem for Charlie, she was cool with it. She got to chill with her brother, so what could be better, right?
Getting to the front door, she ripped it open and saw him. A bright smile shone across her face but the drama queen that she is had to put on at least a little bit of a show. Something playful, so closing the door slightly with her upper torso hanging out it, she pondered. "Oh, I'm sorry. Are you lost?". She giggled as she pushed it open and stepped out the front door to meet her brother. Something else that probably allowed them to connect more, is that Daniel is gay. Charlie loved the fact because their isn't the clashing tough boy/soft girl thing, it is a bit of both because Charlie is far from prissy, and Daniel is far from butch. So it allows them to be more sensitive, and connect on a good level. On a level that too each other, they are friggin' awesome! She wrapped her arms around Daniel as she hugged him. "How are you! I've missed you so much, how is San Francisco?". They had a lot to talk about, so why not start off easy. But as she hugged him, she felt something. Like static electricity, just stronger. And - weirder. It was like touching Daniel flicked something inside her, and she suddenly felt - woozy. Really woozy. But letting go, she kind of felt better. But the nausia was obvious on her face, as she looked to him and then touched her stomach. It was weird.. But she was so happy to have him back, even if it just for a night. It was enough. But coming to speak of it, he did get here pretty fast. Her brother; the fastest man alive much? Still, she grabbed one of his bags and lugged it inside, shutting the door behind him. Nothing could ruin tonight, except her father but they could work around it. What Charlie didn't know - is that they weren't alone.

In the annals of big brothers Daniel kind of blew chunks, at least in his mind. He couldn't ever seem to get his shit together if you were to listen to his dad and how he went on about business school and taking over the family business, not that Daniel understood how or well Celestial Institute became the family business but there you go. Family business it was and he was destined to take it over. Man card or not.
Sighing he brought the last of his stuff to the front door, he was keeping his apartment in San Fran but dad, in his infinite wisdom, had coaxed him to come back to New York for a little bit. For Charlie, so he said. And that was his weak spot. Charlie didn't ask for her brother to be a stoner loser and a washout so he worked on cleaning up, for her. It should have been for himself but for now it was her and the memory of Seamus. He ran a hand through his hair and shrugged casually before knocking on the door. Time to face the music. When Charlie went to close the door open he braced himself a moment, "Hey someone has to pay for this stuff. I did not come 3k miles with this junk food not to be let in." he joked as he held a bag of goodies up for inspection.
Reaching over he hugged her one armed and smiled down at her, "Hey sis. I've got chinese out here so if you can help grab it and the munchies I'll get my luggage." he added. He felt her grab her stomach a moment and steadied her, "You okay? I brought some chocolate and Midol if you need that too." he looked at her concerned and gave her some room to move, carrying stuff in and putting it away as quick as he could so he could help her.
He could unpack later, right now he wanted to get her laying down. "Put a movie in and take a load off. I'll get us some sodas and dish out food. You probably just need to eat something." He pulled out two plates and began putting a little bit of everything on them. Lo Mein, Beef and Broccoli, Curry chicken, egg rolls and duck sauce. They were ready to roll. Bringing the plates over to the bar he set up the tv tray for himself a moment before carrying Charlie's on a lap tray for her. "One coca cola with a little ice and dinner is served!" he said as he gently set the tray in her lap before taking his own plate and soda for himself.
(OOC I'll bring Morgan in after a few rounds between Charlie and Daniel.)

Why weren't they twins? Since a home cooked meal was out of their menu, she was going to get pizza anyways. But some oriental food and a session of regret after eating seemed so much better now. She hugged him, having that brotherly warmth and comfort. The last time she hugged her dad would have to be when she recovered from the hospital two years ago. He wasn't the most effectionate or - well - human person in the world, and family wasn't exactly his thing. Especially when her mother is always away on business trips so Charlie is kind of casted aside - alone. There is Ayden, but her homelife was definitely very isolated. She might as well live there alone since the house is usually vacant, but now she had Daniel. Daniel was not always at his best. The amount of times she has had to cover for him when he has been shooting lines all night or having an OD was rediculous, but she never said a word and her parents never knew. As long as she could keep him safe to a degree; that was all she cared about. But it is the older sibling that looks after the younger; not the other way around. But having his hugs was a good comfort, expecially since he was like expert at hugging.
But her stomach felt like it was flipping inside out repetitively. It was nausiating, and as he looked at her she grew a disturbed expression on her face, as if she had tasted something weird but she was definitely feeling queezy. Maybe it was because she hadn't eaten all day or something. "No, I - I'm okay. I just feel a bit, you know". She said as she grabbed her stomach still, feeling like a screw was being driven into her gut. This was definitely weird, she felt fine a minute ago. All of a sudden, she felt a wave of worry wash over her as she looked to Daniel. Wow, he must be changing over a new leaf if he is this worried. "Don't worry, it's probably cramps. Ugh, cramps covered in cramps". Something you probably shouldn't say to your brother, but it just shows how close they are. But she decided to take his advice, and with a smile underneath a very uncomfortable expression, Charlie turned and moved through the front door again. Before she knew it, she was sitting on the couch putting on the 2004 movie Raise Your Voice. Outdated by societies standards, but Charlie definitely isn't one to conform. Besides, any movie with good music is good enough for her. She sat on the couch, but she was feeling - weird. The stomach ache was going away, but she was feeling really spastically. Like it wasn't even her feelings she was feeling, but someone elses. It was hard to even explain in her mind, but she felt like what she was feeling wasn't hurt, and she tried to shake it off but it was still nagging inside her. And it wasn't a happy feeling; but angry and focused at the same time. Was mooshy foods getting stressful for Daniel or something, or was Charlie angry? She didn't know because - she had never felt like this before.
Soon, Daniel came out with a tray with all the foods she shouldn't eat but will on a plate. "Brava! Oh, and thanks" she said with a smile and steadied the tray for herself. She couldn't shake this weird feeling, but looking to Daniel she decided it was time for them to talk. "I'm happy your staying though. Even if it isn't for long, it is something. It gets a bit lonely around here". She sighed and used her fork to play around with a piece of brocolli as she spoke. "But I worry about you, you know that. Have you been going okay, like with the ....... stuff". Drugs Charlie, drugs. But she didn't want to seem harsh, but she wanted to know. The amount of time she has had to stay up all night to make sure he doesn't drowned in his own vomit and makes sure she leaves the window open for when he comes in so he doesn't get in trouble. Not that she held a grudge or anything, but she feels like she deserves to know even if Daniel chooses to get defensive and stuff. "I mean, the last time we spoke you said you were clean. I was just checking to see if you were - well - keeping it up". The nosiest bitch in the world award goes to Charlie Smith, but she needed to know.

"Don't gotta explain just rest up and eat something. I'm supposed to be the big brother here remember?" he said jokingly as he made sure to clean up after himself. Dad was a neat freak and even though they had a maid it didn't mean he was a slob. Well unless he went on a bender and then he'd be out of it and come to with a house that was a train wreck.
Sighing he shook that thought off and sat in a chair while the movie played. His eyes brightened at the bit of fluff on the screen but he focused on what his sister said, "I'm clean for the moment. You know how it is, one day at a time." he admitted as he shrugged and dug into his food. Chewing so he wouldn't have to talk. This conversation was getting to be a drag and it made him feel like an epic chump but he tried to keep it together and not go lock himself away in his room. He hated the inquisition it sucked big rocks and he wasn't really in the mood for it as he focused on the television to distract himself.
