He really didn't know why he was here at first. He barely remembered his own death truth be told. Things tended to be a bit hazy when you're dead and have no coporeal body. At first he had watched his daughter. He actually rather enjoyed it for all that he was too weak to take a viable form. And she was too weak to see him for what he was. He visited her in her dreams but all he'd been able to gather was that Brentel was gone and she had been being tormented by her brother before she zapped him full of goodness. Only time would tell if that would lead any where.
He'd have been furious at her but he had learned that she hadn't sent Diana and Trenton after him. They had shown up on their own and decided to end him. As it was Trenton was doing his damnest to restake his claim with her now that Reginald was dead and Brentel was gone. That shmuck Philip was off in NYC and so it was that Reginald found himself more than a little bored and traveling with the speed of thought. He'd ended up in April's place and now he watched her as she walked downtown. He didn't know why he did this but it amused him for the moment and gave him a chance to plot against Corvin. He could see how that old bastard was looking at his daughter and it infuriated him.
April, can you hear me?' He asked her as he stood next to her and tried to whisper in her mind. He didn't know if it would work but it was worth trying. After all, he had all the time in the world.

April's heels clicked softly on the pavement, as she was looking for her keys in her shoulder bag and a slight sigh escaped her when she couldn't find them and in the process dropped her back. Annoyed she dropped to her knees, suddenly very happy she was wearing jeans and not a skirt or a dress, because it would then be rather embarrassing, moreso than it already was. When she gathered all her stuff and put them back in her bag, she triumphantly held up her keys, having finally found them. "I knew they were in there somewhere.." She mumbled as she got back to her feet and started moving along the downtown streets again. It was weird, for her to be so.. human, but she had rather gotten used to it and the vibe San Francisco had, was something intoxicating.. But in a good way.
When she then out of no where heard a voice, she froze and looked around. "Yes, I hear you," She said, still looking around for the man whose voice she knew all too well; Reginald. "I thought you were dead, how come I can hear you?"

"Well its a technicality. I am dead and my body was destroyed but my soul remains. I suppose its for some other purpose but...it does make me lonely for company and you always were so good at making me smile." He said to her with as much sincerity as he could muster, "My nature overwhelmed my common sense. Had I not given into my base needs none of this would have happened. That being said it was a bit sick of the powers that be to stick an angel in with a bunch of incubi and expect nothing to happen to her.'
He leaned against a car, although he couldn't be seen just yet. He was too weak for that, 'I think if circumstances were different and I was not an incubus my daughter would have been a lot better off. But then I never expected to HAVE a daughter. By the time she came along too many bargins had been made to back out and so I did the best I could given what I was to become.' He said in a soft tone, 'I would ask for forgiveness, but I don't think my daughter can see me. And with what Trenton is trying to do to her its almost impossible for her to focus to sense me. He and Corvin are playing a game that is likely to hurt her very badly and for all that she is an angel she is still my daughter. I made a lot of mistakes April. I went insane but I always tried to do my best by her.

April smiled at what Reginald said about how she could make him smile, which was nice to hear from his mouth, as he still meant quite something to her, which was insane, because he was an incubus and was probably unable to even feel something for anyone. Whether it be friendship or something else, but she didn't really mind being used like that. It caused her to become friends with Marina and that meant quite a lot to her.
She listened to what he told her about him being an incubus and sighed as she looked in the direction she thought he was in. "We both made bargains, it's just how we deal with them that matters, I think. I mean, yes, you're an Incubi and yes, Marina is a Cupid, but you're her father as well." She fell silent and bit her lip thoughtfully. "I cannot see you either, I can hear you, though and vaguely sense you, but I can't see you." She told him, as she looked at the street she had been walking into. "I already told her to be careful with Trenton, but he's given her a kitten and now she's all happy, so I doubt she will listen all that well. And I don't know Corvin.. Should I go back there, you think?"
April was still working for him, or a part thought so. It just wasn't such a responsibility or a job to look after Marina, she just did, as best as she could, even though she felt she was slacking. And yes, technically now that Reginald was dead, she would be working for Marina, but it didn't really feel like that, other than that Mari gave her money whether or not she needed it.

'I doubt that she thinks he's all that and a bag of chips. She's not that easily swayed. She was raised with evil after all and it does affect her. I think we just need to find the right moment to have her see his true colors. What her life would be with him. You know it would be worse than with me. he added as he drew closer and looked at her, 'Help me, April. From here. Help me get a physical form so I can protect my daughter as i should have done from the beginning. Help me to be...well not good but not so rash and impulsive.
He sighed sadly and inwardly wondered if it was working. It was so hard to tell when you had only the ability to talk to a few people. She waited quietly to see what she would do as she looked around herself for him. She had no reason to trust him or even like him but it was worth a shot in any case. He wouldn't be worth much just by himself.
