- Why are you always so happy?: One thing that Zachary has learned over the years is not to be a downer. Even with his struggles with ADHD and with the confusion and frustration he feels about Jacinta, he has still stayed positive or at least tried to. Zach has always believed that you can’t move through life if you’re not in a happy place. Feeling sad and depressed just wastes time. Smile! But with these new things that he is discovering, being happy isn't the easiest of tasks.
- Sarcasm is my middle name!: When someone says something, Zachary immediately has something funny to say about it regardless of what the context of the words may be in. Some of the things he says are funny while others are just rude and mean, but he really doesn't care. If people can't handle it than they probably shouldn't try to dish it.
- So what if I was a foot fairy: Z loves the outdoors. Being outside beats sitting in the house and doing nothing any day. He was never one to work out, but he does play sports. In High School he played Basketball and Soccer and was very good at both but was never mentioned for anything. These two sports seemed to be the only things he didn't get bored of.
- Let’s have some fun: Because Z gets bored so often, he is always looking to have some fun. People tend to like people who are willing to go out and do something different. Z is definitely that type of person. But to be honest, he may not do these wild and crazy things if people weren't watching him for it. He just loves being the center of attention.
- Just let me hold you: Zach has never been a clingy person, but when it comes to relationships, he loves to be around that person. They could be in the same house doing their own things in separate rooms, and it wouldn’t matter. As long as Zach can come in and cuddle for a few minutes before going back to what he was doing before. He is a very touchy feely person and has no problem doing this in public. Although he hasn’t had many relationships, the women he has been with seem to like this quality.
WEAKNESSES

- Diarrhea of the mouth: Saying things before he actually thinks about them is probably one of Zachary’s worst traits. He just happens to spew things out that shouldn’t be talked about at certain times or shouldn’t be mentioned period. It’s almost like he has no filter what so ever. It has gotten him in quite a lot of trouble.
- Why me, ADHD!: Yes, unfortunately, Zach has severe ADHD which has been a major problem in many aspects of his life. For starters, focusing on things is one of the biggest challenges. A lot of people don’t understand what effect this can do to a person. If he isn’t completely focused on something important (which is almost always), he won’t be able to remember it. Homework, appointments, errands. They will just slip his mind. And it isn’t because he doesn’t care, it’s just that he gets sidetracked very easily. Also, if he isn’t completely focused on certain things it could become dangerous for him. If he isn’t paying attention something is bound to happen. It always does. Zach gets bored very easily. He always has to be doing something different and exciting. He can be a bit overly hyper at times which may come off as him being annoying or a complete spaz; however, that is one thing that he is trying very hard to work on.
- Close minded occasionally: Zachary has always been a very open minded person when it comes to doing something new but tends to be completely opposed to something different in general. If he doesn’t understand something or doesn’t believe something, he has a hard time accepting it. This was the case with Jacinta. He saw her light his bed on fire, but he didn’t want to be open to this new concept of someone actually having abilities. It wasn’t possible. And if it was, he didn’t want it to be losing someone he loved in the process.
- Just Dance: Zachary definitely isn’t a dancer. When he dances, he looks like a complete idiot. Even though he doesn’t care, it is still a weakness.
- What did you say? I’m sorry, I wasn’t listening: Zach is one of those people that when you talk to him you have to ask him every few minutes if he is still listening just to make sure he stays on track. He has a very difficult time keeping up with conversation. He tries really hard to listen to some of his friends’ problems so he can help them out, but it never works. He ends up making them feel worse than they did before they started talking to him because he completely ignored them. This is also something he is working on.
- Hello world, i'm an ass hole: Zach tends to come off as an ass hole sometimes because of the bluntness of his words and attitude towards some people. If he doesn't like you well, you will know it. He has no problem starting shit with you, although he is mostly all talk. He can't fight for crap, but his intigating is plenty for one to try and handle.

Zachary Ryland Cartel was born on March 22nd 1993 in the Santaralio hospital in Miami, Florida. He was Isabelle and Nick’s second child. They had already had April four years before. By the time Zach was six, two more babies had already been added to the family, twins Sabrina and Lane. Zach really didn’t get along with anyone except for April who was four years older than him. She was the only one that could stand him really. He was a wild child constantly jumping off the walls and giving his mother hell. He sure as heck wasn’t giving his father hell. Nope, he was never home. Since his mother injured herself at work, Zach’s dad was always gone working overtime to support the family. It was rough for a family of six to be supported by just one person’s income. And it wasn’t like his dad worked anywhere spectacular. When his father did come home, he looked exhausted, depressed, and completely drained. Zach vowed then that he would live life for himself instead of having a family of his own.
By the time Zach was eleven, he was having a lot of trouble in school. He couldn’t focus on his homework long enough to get it finished. His mother was too busy taking care of his younger siblings, the cooking, and the cleaning that she didn’t take the time to notice that Zach was having some major problems. The teachers got involved, and he was very shortly after diagnosed with severe ADHD. By then, his parents realized that he would need that extra attention more than anything. Isabelle and Nick invested a large sum of money to the medications Zach would need to help him improve his behavior.
When this happened, his family fell apart. April left, getting her own job and buying her own apartment. It upset Zach because their relationship slowly started to crumble. He wasn't sure if April was jealous or just didn't like him anymore, but he felt like he lost his sister at this point. He wasn't sure what was going on with her. She did keep in touch with the family, but even though her parents would tell him things were going great with April, he knew they were lying.
By high school, Zach had been able to work through some of his issues in regards to his ADHD. He was still having trouble with his homework and grades, but he just had to work extra hard on that stuff....if he actually took the time to do so. One thing was for certain, he had no problem making friends. He was fun to be around, always smiling and making people laugh. It was hard not to want to hang with him. During his freshman year, he met Jacinta Landers. He completely fell in love with her. She was basically his first for everything. They were like the IT couple. They were the couple that you could see thirty years later still together. However, during their senior year of high school, Jacinta and Zach got into a huge argument which revealed that Jacinta had abilities. She lit his bed on fire. Zach didn’t know how to handle the situation. He freaked and completely shut Jacinta out of his life. He couldn’t accept her for who she was because he couldn’t accept what it was that she had done. How was it even possible. He was too busy still being freaked about the whole situation that he didn’t realize how hard it was without her with him. The last time he spoke to Jace was when his parents made them stand next to each other for a picture at their graduation. And even then, it was only a few words. By the middle of senior year, they were official over.
Zach spent his last summer in Miami. He had no clue what happened to Jace and wasn’t even sure if he wanted to know. His mom would always ask about her, and Zach really never knew what to say. He wasn’t going to tell his mom. One, their family was never much for talking to each other about personal things. Your business was your business. And two, how could he explain what had happened? He felt that the best way to just move on from all that had happened was to leave. By now, his parent's finances miraculously improved, and they were able to pay for some of his college. After taking out a few loans and being accepted for a paid internship working at an up and coming business, he moved to California where he would study business management at Los Angeles College. He really wouldn't have gone to college if it weren't for the constant pushing his parents gave him. Zach honestly felt that he couldn't really perfect anything because of the ADHD. But Business seemed easy or at least easier than anything else, so he went for that.
Now, it is his first semester in the college life, and he is just happy to be away. Although he has always been one to believe in be optimistic about everything and leaving the depression at home, he thinks about Jace quite often and wonders what it would have been like if he did try to understand. He lives in the dorms on campus with his ass hole roommate Trenton who he doesn't get along with at all, and his classes are going okay. But something is missing. He hasn't heard from his sister in forever, and he misses Jace with a passion. Little does he know, Jacinta Landers decided to go to this very same college, and his sister April also moved to LA recently.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I’m not really sure what is going to happen between Jacinta and Zachary. He is obviously going to see that his first love is here at the same university as he is; however, he really doesn’t know how to talk to her or even if he wants too. He hasn’t changed his stance on things. He will always love her and has kept her secret, but it is just too much for Zach to even think about. He doesn’t want to be involved in any of it. I was thinking that maybe he is turned into a werewolf or vampire. Then, he would seek the help of Jacinta. I’m not even sure if she would help him after everything that happened, but this could possibly bring them closer together again. Not sure what Charlie wants to do with them yet.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Avery waited impatiently in the closet for Bridget to head up the stairs. He could hear her yelling for them downstairs and then her heading up the stairs. He smirked. Tanner and Avery had both decided that scaring the crap out of her would be a great way to start the beginning of this lovely evening. He still couldn’t believe that they had gotten everything ready for tonight as quickly as they did. Tanner and Bridget had thought of the idea the night before and decided to steal some equipment from Zap Zone and then have Tanner figure out how to wire in all the stuff on his computer so they could play at the frat house. It would be way more fun, plus it would be just them. He had no clue how Tanner had done it. Something that he had thought would take hours upon hours had only taken Tanner two. He was so pumped right now. He was decked out in a pair of army cargo shorts and a black t-shirt. His arms and legs had traces of paint on them and his face had streaks of black marks. Tanner was also wearing something similar. They really loved this roleplaying thing. He wondered what Bridget had decided to wear.
Avery could hear Bridget get closer to the room and Tanner chuckle. Avery grinned “Stop man,” he whispered. He didn’t want Tanner to give them away. Tanner quickly shut off the laser when he heard Bridget stop in front of the door. Of course Bridget would say something about them being gay. She always did. And when she did, he just rolled his eyes and chuckled. The only reason she did that was to keep reminding them of that first day that they had all three met. It was hilarious, and Avery had no problem reliving it every single time Bridget brought up the gay thing. I mean no straight guy ever wanted anyone to tell them that they thought he was guy, but the memory of kissing Bridget for the first time luckily overpowered that embarrassment.
Avery almost burst into laughter when Tanner mimicked Darth Vader. He was just too funny. Avery attempted to do an army roll out of the closet, which actually turned out a lot better than he thought it would. His roll ended in him facing Bridget in a crouching position with his gun pointed at her and laser aimed at her pelvic region. It wasn’t done on purpose, but him crouching was level with that portion of her body. “You have met your maker,” Avery said to where the laser was pointing making mouth movements after he spoke to mimic a Japanese movie redone in English. Avery lost focus after that and burst into laughter. He was pretty sure that everyone in the room would have thought that he was talking to Bridget’s vagina.
