Whoever said that it wasn't the blood that corrupted you was wrong, horribly wrong. Even now as she screamed for her life, Connor stalked her through the campus library. Funny how it all took place where he had first made a mistake, where he first tasted Merry's blood. Even now she could probably feel it, the primordial rage building up inside of him, the hunger, he was actually enjoying all of this. To some this would seem random, those who did not know Anneliese, did not know that her blood and techniques were like poison. She had a way of enacting plans that took years to start, but when they did, they were catastrophic.
The trigger was her death or what Connor percieved to be her death. The night her vampiric powers vanished from her, the mental blocks she had placed in his mind came crashing down. She was the reason he was sane, not the other way around. It wasn't his hatred for her that had made him the mild mannered fledgling with a slight anger management issue, it was her. Without even knowing it she had warped his mind, twisted it to her own will, and brought him down to her level before she made him whole again. It was a slow decay over weeks, however the first time he slipped up and killed, it had all come spilling out.
Now, due to all of that, he was playing predator with one of the exchange students. Crawling along the ceiling like some sort of movie monster, he moved at terrific speeds, zeroing in on her with no problem. The sound of her heart, racing as she fled, gave him all the reason he needed to chase. That was exactly how he was doing it too, as his eyes were closed. Each step, cry, whimper, every inaudible prayer she muttered under her breath could not save her now as she tried to run for the doors. However when she got there, his pray would find that he had dragged three heavy book shelves in front of it.
The only other entrance to this cage was the roof lights, that was her only salvation. Unfortunately for her all the doors were bared, all the ladders broken, and anything that could have aided her in reaching such a height had been completely removed from her reach. She was alone, trapped, and she would die like a test rat in a maze. "There is but one way out of this maze, if you can guess it before I catch you, you will be free." he said into the darkness, his voice echoing everywhere which startled the girl all the more. Little did she realize that it was a lie, the only way out he spoke of was to willingly walk into his arms.
Backing up slowly down an aisle, no one had taught her never to turn your back to open space apparently, not in a horror movie. When she turned around again, Connor was standing there, eyes closed. Her heart started to race as she looked upon him, he could remember the sound of Merrys heart so vividly. Merry, she had been just as afraid as this one, though he didn't torture her. Mother wouldn't have liked that, no not one bit, she would have punished him, burning him with the light only to save his life repeatedly. That was how the true Connor within refered to her, that was why he had wanted her dead while he was sane. Part of his sub concious remembered, remembered all the torture he had suffered at her hand.
There was a blood curling scream as he proceeded to torment her, but in the end he would turn her, if only for the little sport he had planned. He wanted to play, to make Anneliese happy, he would take down a Hunter in her name and offer the body to her.

Xzavier held his shotgun in one hand, barrel pointed at the floor as he slowly moved through the building hallways. Where was that bastard? He had weaseled his way in here with a human female victim yet another one to add to the list of women he’d killed in the past week or so. Xzavier had been hunting him for a while now, but this vampire was nothing like a fledgling. He was smart, keen, and very swift, hence the reason he and Lana had lost track of him tonight. They had already found one body tonight in the middle of campus by the fountain, and Xzavier could sense that he was still around but wasn’t exactly sure where until he heard the screaming echo and then disappear into the Theodore Library building. He was still surprised at how oblivious these people were. Humans were guaranteed to be around campus chilling without a care in the world completely nonchalant and nonresponsive to the sound of screaming coming from a girl who was obviously in serious danger. That was fine, though. It made Xzavier’s job a hell of a lot easier without any distractions.
Wasn’t this library around here somewhere? Xzavier told Lana before they entered the building to go around back and head towards the main room of the building which he assumed would be the library. Xzavier was still in hallways apparently completely separate from an actual library. But no one in their right mind would ever expect Xzavier to know where he was when it came to a University or a College of any kind. Xzavier never went to college. Decided it was best to just keep fighting the good fight and making crap for money. It was better than wasting away his time at a college when things needed to be taken care of back at home. Although he would never tell any of his family that neither Everette, Axel, or Lana. For him, schooling was never important. As for his family, well, he’d still make them go. He needed some brains to stay lively in the Evan’s family.
As Xzavier maneuvered his way around corners slowly his shotgun up and ready preparing himself for a surprise attack, Xzavier heard another scream that was muffled. Had he finally found the library? Xzavier quickly picked up pace finally coming to double doors that read Theodore Library entrance. Well that was great. There was only one entrance into and probably out of the library, and it was these double doors. And judging by how slick this killer was, he was pretty sure that he had already barricaded the woman in the library where he could chase her and hunt her down without having to deal with anyone stepping in. Xzavier fidgeted with the door hoping that his assumptions were wrong, but they weren’t. The vampire had indeed made sure that there was no way of getting in or out. The only thing the vampire must have not expected was that Xzavier wasn’t a regular hunter. He had superhuman strength thanks to the trinity bloodline. It wouldn’t take him too long to get in. In fact, it would probably take him less time if Lana would hurry her little ass up. Her strength would be greatly appreciated as well. He hoped that messing with the door would at least give this chick inside some time to run with the distraction. But had Lana waited for him or was she also stuck in the library with this crazed vampire? Xzavier’s face hardened as he thought about the possibility of something happening to Lana during this kill, and as he did so, the importance of getting these damn doors open quickly became even more necessary.

How many fairies does it take to kill a vampire? One, and her name was Princess Awesome. When she tripped on something on the grass, she fell slightly but got back up. Okay, she was at college twice this week. She hated the place right now though, but as she moved around the outside of the building she thought. Okay, this was good. She was keeping busy, getting into trouble and pretending that the world wasn't going to end. It was really good. I mean, her cousin is possessed by a demon and zombies are lurking the streets, but whatever right? There was bigger fish to fry, but she had kinda made a bet with X. He helps her, and she helps him. Her side of the bargain was a vampire called Connor, and seemed to be killing people alot. Such a vampire! And he had now been trying to take over the library to kill some chick which is just sick, so she was going come through the back and do the surprise thing.
One thing; no door. Sighing, she kept her hand on the strap over her shoulder. "Should there be a door, or something?". She sighed, but at least there were small windows. So moving towards the wall, she decided to take a peak. Reaching, she craned her neck to look inside. God, it looked so dark - and boring. Seeing the books and the tables, it just reminded her of sleeping or something. Besides that, she saw it. A girl, terrified with this vamp stalking her. Where the fuck was Xzavier? But she had to do something, so reached into the bag. See, Xzavier might march around with wooden bullets or whatever, but Lana decided to go with the traditional way of killing a bloodsucker, and pulled out a long stake and held it in her grip. Her pink streaks glowed for a second before pink light radiated from her body as she disappeared in rays of pink, and appeared in the library.
She appeared in the air, and crash tackled the woman. Bursting into a commet of light, she glistened once again. Call her quick, but soon enough the girl was safely on the grass outside the building and Lana was already back in the library. With the burst of light, he feet smacked onto the ground from the flip as she looked to the vamp. Hmm, creepy! She held the stake and gave him a small wave. "Okay, here's the problem. See, vampires stalk out clubs for drunk skanks or alleys for the hurrying innocent. Not - a fucking library". She smirked as she charged towards him, stake at the ready.

There was an amused smile that threatened to overtake his expression as she saved his victim. He was hoping that someone would come along, though he hoped it would be someone to eat as well. This one had an attitude, one that made him more irritable than hungry. Laughing softly, which echoed in the quiet and spacious library, Connor tilted his head a bit. "You would expect to find me in the first place you assume to find us? Why would any intelligent Vampire waste their time with such a thing?" he asked, chuckling again. "There is nothing innocent to corrupt anymore in places like those, I rather like the process of breaking them." he said calmly.
Though it seemed she was not here to make idle chat with him, she was quick to draw the stake. A blind charge at his front as well, earning a soft "tsk" from him as he simply did what came natural. Bending his legs a bit, he sprang over her, roating in the air, and landed quietly behind her charge. He was going to be more annoying than the simple minded vampire who thought they could win with sheer strength. "You barge in with such tough banter. You can do better than that, I assume." he said. Part of him knew that she possessed what it took to end him, though goading her was still fun to him.
"Answer something for me, humor me." he said slowly, placing a hand under his chin. "What is it about my kind that bothers you so much? Why kill us, depict us as monsters, and protect the mortals? Would they protect you in return?" he asked, shaking his head. "Most likely not." he replied to his own question, as if she wasn't even there. "So is it about personal thrill? Or are you too, infact, a killer?" he asked.
ooc: Going to throw on the summary just so this can end.
After a long, drawn out battle where Connor tries to wear his enemies down, eventually the combined strength of Lana and Xzavier pulls through in the end. Just when he thinks he has one of them on the ropes, seperated from the other, Xzavier comes out of seemingly nowhere and puts a broken splinter of wood through his chest, causing him to explode into a pile of ash. As he goes out, the bond he held with Merry is shattered, a ripple that is easy felt over the distance between the two of them. However as he dies, he manages to send one last thought, a final image of a box he hid underneath the floor boards while he was still sane.
