Xzavier headed towards the wooded area out in front of him. It was getting darker by the minute, and he could already see the haze of the full moon above the trees. He’d been tracking this werewolf for a while now trying to decide on when the best move would be, but he had waited too long and someone else, one of Axel’s friends, well acquaintances, was turned. There was no way around it now. She had taken the life of an individual and destroyed it completely, cursing him with a life of danger to the people he loved and death to himself. There was no way Xzavier could let either of them live. Not when he could be gallivanting around LA biting people on the full moon.
Xzavier entered the woods his silver hunting dagger clipped to his belt and his shotgun with bullets filled with shards of silver held tightly within his hands. Tonight was the night that Shannelle Gray must die.

Shannelle wandered around and howled at the moon every now and then, as she had once again felt like she was way too much locked up and once again, the wolf in her had gotten the upper-hand on running off into LA Echo Park. She had trained.. She knew how to transform at will, but she was still incredibly hungry.
She felt safe for once, as she hadn't seen any dangerous hunters in a while and the one or two hunters that she knew, didn't seem like that much of a danger, especially not Matt, who she told she was a werewolf, but had still been allowed to treat his wounds. He was one of the hunters she didn't fear. She sniffed the air and froze as she smelled a human, making her growl slightly.

Xzavier hadn't killed many weres in his time as a hunter, but he did now how to find them. In a way he felt slightly bad for the event that he would be doing tonight. From what he had heard, Shannelle was a very nice human being. Very kind, sweet, and sincere, but every hunter knew not to get close to people like this. You never knew what they were hiding. Getting to know Axel and even his other brother Everette, he was starting to see that maybe evil things were sometimes good, but it never changed what they were at the end of the day. And Shannelle Gray was definitely a monster. What excuse could she be given for turning an innocent boy who probably didn't want anything to do with something as horrifying as the life that Shannelle had to live.
Xzavier knelt down touching his hand to the soil. It was damp beneath his fingertips as he continued to press them into the print of a were. Shannelle must have just left the creek which meant that she must now be in the opposite direction of it. Xzavier stood and positioned himself the opposite way of the creek and moved forward again slowly on the prowl for Shannelle. He knew that he had to be careful. Shannelle probably already caught wind of his scent, so she already had the upper hand here. Now if he could just spot her before she spotted him, everything would be fine.

Shannelle felt her werewolf senses sharpen, as she looked around and howled loudly, to let whoever was here, know that she was onto them. She however had no idea that it was in fact Xzavier who was hunting her. For her, he was just a prey, a toy to play with. And as she got this in mind, she slowly crept forward and stopped, frozen in her tracks, before growling lowly.
There he was, she thought, as she got closer and closer and took a step forward, making a branch snap loudly, making her look at it, slightly bewildered, before looking back at Xzavier and growling again, as her wolf-senses almost completely took her over.

Xzavier heard the growl and stood up slowly immediately on alert. The growl had been near him which meant she was not far at all. Xzavier prepared his gun ready to pull it up and aim it when needed. He listened carefully trying to hear anything that may be helpful in finding her. She did know he was here which meant that she had the upper hand. There was no way of sneaking up on her now. So, he had to be ready for whatever came at him.
Xzavier stood in the same spot but spun around slowly surveying the darkness the trees of LA Echo Park had hovering above him. He heard a snap behind him and spun immediately lifting his gun ready to aim. He did not have her in his sights, but from the low growl he knew she was there and where to point. All she had to do was charge him, and he'd grip the trigger. All he had was two shots. That was the mistake he had made tonight, bringing his double barrel instead of his assault shotgun. But it would have to do.
Shannelle charged. It wasn't like he could see her, but he could definitely hear her, and she was coming right for him. Xzavier readied himself preparing to pull the trigger.

Matt, from his position behind the tree where he had taken cover after tracking Shannelle and the hunter that was following her, he could see the hunter grabbing his double barrel shotgun and he himself could hear the growling coming from Shannelle too. He had only wanted to know which werewolf not to kill, which was Shannelle, but he couldn't, he just couldn't let this hunter kill her after she saved him without having anything in return or any reason to, except... Humanity.
It made him bite his lip, he needed to do this smartly. But before he could actually come up with a good smart plan, he saw how the hunter already knew her position where she would come from and pointed his weapon. Quickly Matt made a run for it, grabbing his own gun and loading it while he was running as quietly as he could, which luckily he had learned pretty good from his teachers and on his own on hunts.
When he was close enough behind him, Matt quickly grabbed the guys arm and tried pulling it behind his back with force to keep his gun down. 'Don't shoot, I think we both know what's probably in the barrel of that weapon, but you can't kill her.' he said sharply before he let him go and stepped next to him, quickly glancing where Shannelle was probably and trying to make her notice him, hoping that it would reach her somehow. 'This isn't her! I know, she saved my life from werewolves in this very park all on her own decision, so let me make myself very clear.' He said before he stepped more to the side in the path of a possible shot and pointed his gun at Xzavier. 'You try to kill her, and don't think just because you're a fellow hunter I won't try to stop you.' He said with serious narrowed eyes in a way of warning.

Shannelle sensed something was wrong and stood rooted on the spot, for just a moment, before she got closer again, advancing on the hunter with steady steps, not fully sure about what was going to happen or who she was dealing with. when he came into eyesight, she bared her teeth, but looked in a different direction there and then, looking straight at Matt's face. What was he doing here?
She heard his voice, but couldn't make out what he was saying and thus looked at the other hunter again, confused and slightly rattled. What was going on? When the words fully registered in her head, she howled softly and took a step back, before advancing on Xzavier again.

Just as Xzavier was about to pull the trigger, someone from behind grabbed his arm pulling it up behind him. Xzavier almost lost his shotgun completely with this move but was able to keep it held in the arm not being attacked at the moment. He had been so focused on Shannelle, he hadn't even heard anyone come up behind him. Real nice Xzavier. Way to be an awesome hunter. Xzavier winced as he listened to the guy behind him. He could now see the outline of the werewolf who had stopped charging at him but had now seemed to be unsure of what to do next. She was obviously just as confused with this intruder as Xzavier was.
The guy let go of Xzavier making him stumble forward. Xzavier shook his arm to bring feeling back to it. He glanced over at the man who was trying to make excuses for keeping this beast alive. He even mentioned that he himself was a hunter, and Xzavier couldn't believe that another hunter was actually thinking of letting the wolf go. "If you were a real hunter, you'd understand that she may be a human sometimes, but three days out of the month....she is a killer nothing more. I can't let that happen." Xzavier said sharply.
The wolf then howled pulling Xzavier's attention back to her. He could hear her paws charging towards him again. Ignoring the words of the other hunter, Xzavier lifted his gun and pulled the trigger a silver bullet flying out and connecting with meat. He knew that Shannelle had been a good person, but he had to do this. It was his responsibility. His job as a hunter.

Shannelle wasn't really surprised to see Matt, as in the way that she was wondering what the hell he was doing here, although she did ask herself this, as a part of her wanted to keep him safe. She was more worried he'd get hurt, then she was that he'd be at a place he shouldn't. He was a hunter, he should be able to hold his ground.
When the bullet hit her skin, Shannelle looked surprised, but soon stopped advancing and felt her body go numb, as she slowly started to turn back into a human and just as she did, she felt the cold grass on her almost equally as cold skin. "Matt.." She whispered, now able to say something.

Matt's eyes frowned and narrowed as Xzavier quickly enough went in against him by saying that if he actually was a real hunter too, he'd know that she might be a human some of the time but three nights of the month she was a killer and nothing more. 'So you're going to kill a human just because three nights of the rest of a damn month she can't control herself!?' Matt asked in disbelief as he shook his head.
'No!' He yelled when he saw how Xzavier raised the weapon again and pulled the trigger. Matt couldn't do anything about then that, his eyes automatically quickly going to Shannelle who dropped on the grass and saw instantly how she started turning back, not trying to focus on what she was or wasn't wearing, which wasn't hard with her being hurt.
Matt quickly made a grab for Xzavier his shotgun and pulling it out of his hands to instantly after that hitting him in the face with the weapon to knock him back and then throwing the shotgun somewhere in the bushes randomly, he wasn't here to fight this guy, he didn't even know if he could actually win it, so he was going to wing it, to save Shannelle. He made a run for her and knelt next to her just to hear her whisper his name now that she was able to speak again. 'We really need a better place to meet than this.' He whispered softly to her as he checked for her wound mostly to see how bad it was. 'I got you, I got you Shannelle, come on, we have to get you out of here, I'll get that bullet out of you and your wound cleaned and treated up.' He said softly and trying to reassure her as he softly but quickly picked her up from the ground in his arms. He glanced to see if Xzavier wasn't going to try anything and then started to run slightly, but planning on picking up the speed soon enough if she wasn't deteriorating.

The hunter ripped Xzavier's gun out of his hand and smashed it against Xzavier's face stumbling back and falling instantly. He figured the guy would attack him, but he wasn't expecting the gun. If anything he could see a fight between the two breaking out. When the hunter first spoke, Xzavier could tell that Shannelle obviously meant more to him than the regular killing of a supernatural, or it could have simply meant that the hunter truly believed that she was not kill worthy. But there was no fighting. The hunter went to Shannelle's side instantly. Xzavier could barely see the two figures because of his blurry vision, but he knew that he was helping her. He was only able to hit her once meaning that she was going to survive. If he was a hunter, he knew the quickest way to get any type of bullet out.
Xzavier stood shaking his head slightly. He could feel the blood from the butt of his own gun sliding from his nose down over his lip. There was no doubt his nose was broken. Xzavier glanced over to where Shannelle had been laying. Yep, neither her nor the hunter were anywhere to be seen.

Shannelle could see what Matt did, through her eyelashes and tried to keep her eyes open, as she was turning back to a human in rapid speed. When Matt knelt down next to her, she shivered slightly and looked at him. "I guess that means we're even." She joked, as she looked at him and listened to what he said, that he had her. She nodded and closed her eyes for a moment, before she bore her hands in his shoulders and pulled herself close to him, as she was freezing at the moment. When they started to run, she placed her head against his chest, not even worrying about Xzavier right now.
