STRENGTHS
▬ Bilingual; Connor has a passion for other cultures, their languages, their different foods, and traditions. Having travelled around a bit, he is fluent in at least three languages with aspirations of acquiring more. His three languages being; German, Irish, Spanish.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Photographic Memory; Connor has an eye for detail, paying attention to the things that go on around him regardless of importance. Usually he can accurately recall things he has seen with vivid detail, right down to the shoes they were wearing if need be. Before he was turned, many thought he would end up as a detective of some sort.
▬ Courageous; His courage is seemingly endless, almost to the point of being stupid. He is the sort of man who doesn't fear to walk into a hail of bullets, a pack of wild animals, or even fire despite the fact that it would incinerate him almost instantaneously. He can be pretty brash, not thinking things through before he does them, though he always has the best intentions in mind.
▬ Charmer; Connor is a charmer by nature, though he is not exactly Mr. Bond. He has a sort of goofy charm about him, making others laugh by mistake is apart of it. If one was to observe Connor they would find half the things he does to be comical, such as running into corners due to lack of attention. He is not exactly the smoothest of Vampires.
▬ Strong Willed; Connor has a strong will, though it is often tested by what he is. Daily he fights against his urge to kill, though he is just barely winning. He accomplishes almost anything he sets out to do, refusing to quit just because the odds are stacked against him. His will makes it hard for others to control or manipulate him in anyway.
WEAKNESSES
▬ Temper; It is not hard to force Connor to lose his cool, causing him to be irrational. Due to the confusion of being a fledgling and his anger that he represses when he snaps he really loses it. His temper is so bad that he is usually the one who is the first to take a swing, even when it is uncalled for.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ The Thirst; Connor fights against the thirst every day, going for as long as he can without taking a human life. He would rather suffer the days of being weak, the burning feeling in his body, and the painful longing. Eventually it gets to the point where he is delirious, causing him to lose touch with reality very easily and start to see things.
▬ Insecure; He is incredibly insecure about his new dillema, unsure of how people would react if they knew. Ever since he became a Vampire he learned of other odd species like himself, though he feels that he can never have a normal relationship with any of them anymore. Connor sees himself as a monster, one who cannot be normal no matter how he wants to try to fit in with society.
▬ Lazy; This doesn't always apply, though to those on the outside he can seem lazy in the things he does. He puts the least amount of effort into things to get by unless they are important to him. You're more likely to find him laying about reading a book than doing something of actual importance.
▬ Lone Wolf; He tends to shy away from others, afraid that he could hurt someone at any moment. He often locks himself away at night, somewhere as far away from people as he can find. He keeps to himself, not even bothering to try and mingle with his own kind as he doesn't see the point in any of it. What could he really have to say to those who were dead like him?
▬ Jealousy; Connor envies the living, those who have the thing that he wants back the most. He has a terrible habit of falling for women with a pulse that he cannot have, making matters worse when they are with someone already. There have been a few incidents where he has drained their lovers dry out of jealous rage, though he truly didn't mean to kill them.
LIKES
▬ History; Connor is a history buff, he loves to read and debate choices made in old wars especially. He is mostly fond of European history and history around about the world war two era. This is perhaps the one area of knowledge that he feels that he knows more about than anyone else, and can seem arrogant in discussing it.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Horror Films; He is a bag fun of new age horror films, despite how cheesey they can be. He finds them comical to watch, being a vampire himself, and will often spend many hours laughing at them through the night. This is perhaps one of his absolute favorite activities, even when he has to do this alone.
▬ Heights; Connor is incredibly fond of heights now that he is a vampire. He loves to challenge his powers, finding new heights to climb and fall from. That is most likely the way he is going to leave this world, pushing his abilities to their absolute limits.
▬ Chess; Fond of things that challenge the mind, Connor plays chess by himself often. The main room in his home is an on going war of multiple game boards he plays on, most would question his sanity if they saw this. The endless amount of time he has on his hands however drives him nuts.
▬ Fashion; An odd like for a man like him, however he is fond of the many different fashions in the world. Since fashion shows often happen at night, they are something that he can actually attend and enjoy. He makes sure to keep himself well dressed, despite the fact that he interacts with few people.
DISLIKES
▬ Darkness; Tired of living only at night, Connor often considers just ending it. He longs to live under the light of the sun just once more, though the desire for self preservation stops him everytime he works up the resolve to attempt such a thing.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
▬ Vampires; Having left a rather bitter taste in his mouth, Connor dislikes other vampires. He especially hates those who make a sport out of hunting other humans, though he would never bother to stop them from doing so. Starting a war against them is not in his best interest, no matter how much he longs for release.
▬ Authority; Connor doesn't like to heed the word of authority, seeing himself as above the law now. Those who talk down to him are immediately met with a challenge, causing severe discomfort in most enviroments. It is perhaps one of the single greatest reasons that he has not bothered to try and integrate himself into the human society after being turned.
▬ Self Doubt; Despite doing it himself, Connor hates watching others talk badly about themselves. He'll often yell at them until they see things his way, though he tries to restrain himself some and be more encouraging. To him it gets tiresome to see so many people second guess themselves and squander the gifts that he would love to have.
▬ Modern Music; Given his new senses, Connor has come to find that he dislikes most modern music. Now that he can pick up on things others don't notice, he has become overly critical of the details. While this was not something new he discovered after the change, it was a dislike that became intensified.
HISTORY
Connor was born in Portland, Oregan where he lived with his father, his mother didn't make it through child birth. His entire life Connor had a rocky relationship with his father, his face reminding his father too much of the price they had to pay for his life. He lived and went to school there until he graduated from high school, deciding to branch out on his own afterwards due to his relationship with his father. It was always his dream to see the world, so when the opportunity to travel with some friends came up Connor was chomping at the bit. Their first stop was Munich, as they were on their way to college soon they had it in their mind to visit Oktoberfest.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
It was here after a night of drinking that Connor would meet his fate, staggering away from the festival. Having consumed alot of alcohol, he was soon the perfect prey for the woman who had been eyeing him all night. Seeking a bathroom, he was ambushed, drained, and then given a choice between life and death. To his maker it was just a game, she was going to turn him anyway, however Connor chose life either way. Turned into a fledgling vampire, he was forced to disappear from his friends, continuing to explore Europe with the woman who sired him. However as the years went on, she would grow increasingly bored with him, his hesitance to kill, abandoning him to find another.
This caused Connor to drift back to the states, fed up with mind games, feeding on humans, and everything that came with being a vampire. His sire was especially cruel when she fed, turning him away from that life style. However she left him with a massive hole in his knowledge of what he was, it was up to him to explore this dark 'gift' and figure out what his limits were.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Over time I would like him to learn to resist the thirst, as he is a fledgling vampire. Once that happens, he'll slowly learn to assimilate back into a "normal" life amongst the humans, as best as his affliction would allow him to. His overall goal would be to find another way to live without having to kill anyone, as he cannot stop himself. Also if it's possible, I would like him to become some sort of spy down the line for the good guys since he would be able to slip in with demons and his own kind easily.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

5 Years | None here
As the sun started to go down Connor stirred, yawning as he rose to choose his outfit for the night. He didn't really see the point in this, he was just going to imprison himself within the library when it closed. It was a new habit of his, he figured as long as he was in there reading he could not hurt anyone else. He was always careful to make sure that no one else had lagged behind, there were a few close calls in other places he had done this. It took him several weeks to find a place with a schedule that was easy to keep track of, he often crept into the offices to see what the work schedules were so he knew who was working and how long. Having a photographic memory allowed him to keep track of these things, once he saw something it was not often that he forgot it.
Once he was dressed, he went out the window of his apartment, figuring that he wouldn't waste time with the stairs. That was one of the many perks to being what he was, conventional no longer mattered, even if that seperated you from what you wanted to be the most. Landing without a sound, Connor made his way along the familiar path to the library he loved to frequent. The staff there was excellent for the few hours they were around while he was, but he enjoyed them all the same. There was one woman inpaticular that he saw day in and day out. He never caught her name, but then again he never asked, that took away the fun and mystery.
Holding the door for someone as they passed, he offered a brief nod before walking inside himself. Hands in his pockets, Connor made his way to the reference desk, checking to confirm that who the schedule said was working was the person who was actually there. Lingering for a moment by a book shelf, he watched Merry for a moment, noting her smile, the way she seemed eager to help, and the style of clothing she wore. These details were important him, he enjoyed fashion as much as the next person, criticing it was something he did naturally. Drifting off to find the book he had been reading the day before, he would return moments later, feet up on a nearby table as he found his place without the help of any sort of marking. Occasionally he would glance up at Merry, unaware if she had noticed him at all or if he was simply another patron.
Unknown to everyone here they were part of a test for him, the sound of their blood was maddening to him. Being so close to the humans, practically being able to taste them. It was all he could do to keep himself seated, if he could sweat he imagined that right now he would look like a nervous human.
