Everette and Xzavier follow a trail which leads them to possessed Axel. After bitter exchanges, he explains to them how this had been planned for so long. Axel's aunt and uncle being killed, Axel making his way to Los Angeles, meeting Eli. Going through the portal which infected his own essence and slowly ripped him out of his own body and replaced him with this demonic essence. How Eli becoming a vampire and biting Axel was the key, as Eli's vampiric blood was cancelled out by the trinity blood, which could only be possible in Axel's case as his blood has magical qualities within it. By Eli becoming a hybrid led to the series of trials for them. As Axel was sacrificed for innocents in the end, this demon was able to gain more power and Axel's sacrifice, although it didn't kill him, meant that he could offically be brought into this world. Axel killing Alexandre beforehand, who was a threat to them, Axel lost his blood innocence, and paired with the sacrifice made everything possible. The series of killings had been done by Axel in this transe-like state, as he would zone in and out of consciousness, not remembering much. Possessed Axel ended up leaving before a fight erupted, stating to them that their plans had only begun.
