-Takes place during episode 4-
He had to go and see Xzavier, to see how he was. After all, his older brother nearly got killed by his other brother...Something was definantly wrong with this situation. He knocked at the door, seeing that Xzavier was home because of the car. He wanted to to be alone, anyway, so they could try and talk things through. They didn't do this much, especially one-on-one. It would be strange, probably awkward but he had no idea how Xzavier was holding up. And he felt bad, one of his brothers had turned on him in an act of rage, Xzavier needed all the family he could get right now. And it could be some good bonding for them.

Things were never normal for the Evans brothers. Xzavier was always hunting vampires, demons, and weres to protect his family. But what happened when the problem was a member of your family? The brother you tried so desperately to take care of through the years after your parents were killed? What do you do then? It was so easy to come right out and say that saving him was the best way to go, but how do you save someone that didn't even know he needed to be saved? Someone who was just....lost and unable to find his way back to you?
There were too many thoughts in Xzavier's head right now to concentrate on one in particular. And just when Xzavier was about to try and sort through each and everyone one of them, he heard a knock at the door. On instinct he jumped up hoping and praying to himself that it was Everette who had returned to discuss what had happened not more than a few days ago. It had been that long since Everette had come home, and although Xzavier should have been upset with him, he was more worried about him than anything else right now. But as he threw open the door, he felt bad for being so disappointed that it was just Axel, his long lost brother who he was still trying to accept into the fold of things. "Axel," Xzavier nodded towards him as a hello. "Come on in." Xzavier assumed Axel was here to talk about Everette, but he wasn't so sure that he could. Axel hadn't been with them long which made Xzavier believe that it was probably hard for him to understand them. But who knew? Apparently Everette and Axel had gotten close, and according to Everette, Xzavier hadn't been there lately.

It was strange. He had known the brothers for several months now, yet he hadn't been to their house much. He smiled as Xzavier greeted him as well as he would expect from his brother, and walked in when he was invited in. "Hey," he responded as he continued walking in, then turning to face Xzavier. He didn't expect much talking from Xzavier, it was obvious he was the one who repressed his feelings while Everette showed them. "I've spoken with Everette, how are you holding up?" He asked, not sure really what else he could say to his brother. "This looking terrible thing is starting to stay with you, you know? No offence," he smirked softly, breaking the slight tension. He had no idea what Xzavier was going through, he hoped he would be able to help in some way.

As Axel walked in, Xzavier smiled back and then closed the door behind him. Xzavier wasn't surprised to hear that Everette had already talked to Axel about everything. It just seemed natural. If there was one person that could make anyone feel welcome it was Everette, and he had been doing so with Axel ever since the brothers reunited. Xzavier on the other hand, needed a few more months to do so. It wasn't that Xzavier didn't like Axel, it was just the unfamiliarity of the situation. He didn't know Axel at all. But that was Xzavier's fault. I mean here Axel was probably trying to be nice towards him especially after everything that happened, and Xzavier still seemed to find more pressing things to think about other than bonding with his brother. Family had always been the most important thing in Xzavier's life, but for some reason, it was taking Xzavier much longer to adjust to having another brother.
"I'm holding." Xzavier said but then changed the subject rather quickly. "How is Everette? Any other psycho glitches in the hocus pocus crap I need to know about?" And there he was again putting up that front so he didn't have to deal with emotions head on. It was his way of handling things like this.
Xzavier chuckled when Axel threw in a humorous comment of his own. It definitely alleviated some of the tension between the two of them which was good because Axel was here to try and help. He had to remember that. "You should see me on my good days. It's really not much different than this." It was the consequence of the trade. Being a hunter you didn't really have time to make yourself look good. Especially when you had to worry about brothers going off the deep end with magic. Xzavier cleared his throat. "Does he know you're here?

He smirked softly, putting his head down to the ground at Xzavier's comment about Everette. It was bad to smile after everything that happened, but Xzavier did have some witty comments from time to time. "Uh...Not that I know about, really." He wasn't a magic person either, he didn't really get the appeal about it. He wouldn't say he disliked it as much as Xzavier did, but he wasn't too fussed. Everyone had their own strengths, he realized this. And magic was in their blood, their essence apparently. But he just hated seeing how Everette lost control because of it. He needed help, he admitted that and Axel would help him. But he couldn't just ignore Xzavier either.
He chuckled, eyeing Xzavier cooly. "It sounds like you need to get out there more. I get it, I do get what your doing here. We may not have known eachother that long, but theres a part of me that feels like I do. You know what? Of everything that has happened to me over the past few months, that part of me makes me feel safe. Now, we can't have that part of me looking like a struggling meth addict all the time." He smirked softly, there was nothing wrong with a little playful teasing, especially in a time like this. Then he asked about Everette, and Axel sighed softly. "No, it doesn't matter either way. Your my brother, he told me the gist of what happened, but I don't know much. Everette has admitted that he needs help...But I don't know how to help him. Ironically enough, I think that the only way to help him is to help you first. And I'm not talking about how shit you look, either."

Xzavier wasn’t sure what to say to that. As long as he’d been protecting the family and doing what he could for them, Xzavier never really had anyone tell him that his efforts had been working, or his efforts were at least helpful in some way. He never felt like he needed a ‘thank you’ or anything like that. Family was family. You didn’t need to thank them for saving you or thank them for watching over you because it was their job. But at this moment, Axel explained that he understood the things that Xzavier did and why he did them. And he also explained that he felt safe because of it. But emotion was a liability, and expressing it wasn’t the easiest thing for him to do. Xzavier may be able to help Axel, but what about Everette? Was Axel only saying this to make Xzavier feel better about the fact that he has been doing a rather shitty job of helping and caring for Everette? He wasn’t sure, but he needed to say something. Xzavier hesitated, ”Well….that’s what familys for, right?”
And Axel pushed again with the brother thing. Everette had been so good at accepting Axel, why was it so hard for Xzavier to do the same? Was it because he didn’t trust Axel? No, he had proven himself to the family countless times so far. Was it because he was potentially harmful to them? No, that wasn’t it either. If anything he was helpful to the two of them. So what was it? Maybe it was just because Axel was new to him. It had been Everette and Xzavier for years just the two of them protecting eachother and fighting the good fight. Now, it was Everette, Xzavier, and Axel. It was a big change to go through, and because Xzavier was so ‘keep to himself’ all the time, it was hard for anyone to make a connection with him. He knew that.
It was nice to know that Everette could see that he needed help, but what did Axel mean? Xzavier chuckled. ”Help me? What do I need help with?”

He disregarded Xzavier's comment, because he felt he was just saying it for the sake of saying it, not actually acknowledging that he was really helpful; Xzavier just didn't seem to be able to admit that the things he do protect them. It was like he doesn't feel like he needs or deserves any recognition for it.He knew Xzavier didn't like to appear weak at all costs, and in many ways, it was his weakness. He chuckled at Xzavier's comment. "What do you need help with? Where do I start? But its Everette who needs help right now, I know this isn't Everette who has been doing this..." He sighed softly.

Xzavier couldn’t help but smirk too when Axel wasn’t even sure where to start with all of Xzavier’s problems. He was right. Xzavier had a lot of issues, and even though he didn’t want to admit them to himself, he found it funny that Axel had no problem coming right out and telling him. But things got serious again once Axel mentioned that Everette’s behavior was not him actually doing it. ”It’s not Everette. He wouldn’t hurt me like he did.” Xzavier shook his head. ”No, if it isn’t possession than this magic is completely taking him over. Bringing out a side of him that needs to be dealt with before crushing me against a brick wall is the least of our problems.”

He nodded in agreement with Xzavier. He was just glad it was Xzavier and not him that Everette had crushed against any brick walls. "What do we do, though?" He wasn't sure how to approach this situation, hence why he needed Xzavier's help. Xzavier had known Everette his entire life, he would know how to help the man with his magic problem, probably more than anyone else. He had no idea how to tackle this situation. It wasn't like he was fighting against an enemy, he was fighting against his brother and he wasn't the enemy! How do you help someone like that?

Xzavier paused for a few moments to think. What could they do? Killing was not an option at all. Xzavier looked at Axel. ”Well we have two options. We start with talking. Try to get through to him. If we can’t, then the only other thing we can do is strip the magic completely.” He knew Axel would probably protest to that and so would Everette. But he had to do what needed to be done. If taking away Everette’s power was the only way to keep him alive and good, Xzavier wouldn’t hesitate. ”Everette is strong though. I don’t think it’ll come to that.”
