Well Mandy was all sweaty and tired, another long day of training, the life of a cheerleader. She just wanted to get away from it all and missed her best friend again. He was off with his special girl to god knows where for the weekend and Mandy was left here, alone with no one to talk too. Raygan was shipped off to boarding school for being a Mandy Plus, so she really didn’t have anyone to talk too. Plus it seemed like the captain hated her a bit, she was also the one doing the heavy lifting and she wasn’t even one of the bigger girls. She sighed a bit as she grabbed her water bottle and took a sip as she watched some of the guys on the football team running a few laps around the field, and as usual, checking out the cheerleaders and poking fun at the male cheerleaders, they were such tools, no wonder she never liked much of them, but watching them run reminded her of Rodney and their runs together. Made her kind of sad thinking about it, though she did have to get over it, Rodney had his girl, she was no home wrecker that was for sure.
There were the guys again, their second lap and again poking fun at the male cheerleaders, it was so annoying to sit through sometimes. Why they had to be such idiots she would never know, then again, boys are just dumb sometimes. Anyways she wasn’t in the mood to get any guy’s attention right now, especially the meatball heads on the football team. She took another long sip of her water as she filled her mouth completely and then swallowed it all in one shot. She then put her water bottle in her bag as she zipped her work out bag closed and threw it over her shoulders and made her way down from the bleachers. She walked down the stairs as she made her way out near the field and saw another cheerleader leaving, it was Lana, the young cheer leading prodigy they called her. She was trying out for the team, they year was barely over and here they were scouting young girls you wouldn't see here in one, two, hell even three years from now walking around campus. She was pretty sure she saw some fifteen year old girl walking around being, well a fifteen year old. What was the point of it all anyways? Half these girls might go to other colleges and join other squads while other might go to other cities and join other squads, either way, they felt it was necessary to scout the talent young, fresh and keep them interested. Plus she felt most those young girls liked being complimented, though it was one in a million who did actually get a compliment, the others would just get a rundown list of criticism especially from queen bitch head cheerleader here.
But Lana was well know, most colleges wanted her and this college was no different, they extended their invitation for an early try out for this one and would most likely be scouting her till she was eventually college ready. The Head cheerleader had a serious case of jealousy and Mandy knew she was better than her but what was the point really? Mandy did wonder what she said to the young Lana, she kind of knew who she was through Rodney, she was his roommates' cousin if she wasn't mistake, maybe if she made her way towards the young girl and gave some kind words any criticism miss bitch pants had told her wouldn't bother her, since Lana, was no slouch when it cam to cheerleader, Mandy had heard a lot about her. “Hey it's Lana right? Hopefully those stuck up crazies didn't discourage you from wanting to come here” She said with a smile.

Hands were on her hips. Her feet were on the field. Her short hair was tied in a small tail of pink and gold. But her heart wasn't in it. She had been training all day with a bunch of different girls, including the captain that Lana had just luckily reached neutral ground. She used attitude and Lana punched her in the face; at least she called that neutral. Shana looked over her shoulder at Lana, and then straight back around and Lana was left with a smirk on her face. God, only if Nessa was still here. But her cousin was off on a evil evacuation with Palmer, so she couldn't complain. She hadn't even really been into cheerleading lately unless she is given a chance to look over the supernatural footballers. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to do it anymore. It was a good distraction, yeah. Kind of giving her a taste of her old life. But this was her now, she wasn't a popular little cheerleader any more. She was - she wasn't really sure who she was. But she wasn't this. Not anymore.
She had been offered a scholarship. After her senior year she was offered a scholarship for cheerleading, but it interfered swith photography. The idea was already dead - but she couldn't give a shit. She was going to be a photographer and that was that, being here was just an escape to not be at school for a day. But look who seemed to grace her with her excessive use of makeup - the head cheerleader for the college team. "Lana Evans, we would just like to extend you a welcome to LAUC Cheer squad. We are so happy you came! And with - um - nice hair". They smirked as they looked at her pink streaks and walked past her. Okay, another reason not to join. That just looked like far to much bitchyness for a four year course, so she just smirked to herself and kind of looked away. Okay, by the looks of her outfit she looked like one of the schools cheerleaders. Great, just great. But as she came up to her, she was actually nice. Thank god all mighty and stuff!
"No, no don't worry. That boat sailed long before that. But the head cheerleader? She is definitely a - a horrible, horrible skank". She smiled as she crossed her arms. At least their was sun, but it was good that if today got a bit too much she had two options; 1, Glisten home asap or 2, call Xzavier and go kill something. Decisions decisions, but she liked 2. But maybe - just maybe today might give her some perspective. Most likely to motivate her to quite cheerleading and motivate her to follow her dreams. Short skirts and screaming for what you believe in, it isn't what she wants anymore. She had to admit, she did love being a cheerleader. Talking fashion with Hensley, trying to rise optimism from Cascia that wasn't about sex, going to movies with Max after games and even trying to have DNM's with Pandora. That was her favorite cheerleading experience, but after what happened how could she cheer for something so stupid. She would cheer for herself instead. "It's nice to meet you - um - insert name here please". She smiled.

Well it looked like Lana wasn’t interested, which was a real shame, she did have a knack for cheerleading, despite Ms. Head Cheerleader being a crazy little vixen, Lana was good, better than most girls she saw come and go, better than most the head cheerleader and her little band of bitches. It’s what Mandy called them, well in her head anyways, she wasn’t going to be mean to anyone if it wasn’t needed, she had better things to do and sometimes taking the high road is just the thing to do. But Lana wasn’t interested, go figure, with that’s bitches’ picking on people she didn’t blame Lana, the cheerleader world was much worse than a world war, people just never spoke of it because it was a bunch of girls, but these girls were really mean. But it’s just like Mandy, randomly talk to a person, call them by their name and not introduce herself, what a great start Mandy wasn’t forgetful, just mixed up her order of conversation.
“Oh yeah, I’m sorry, the name is Mandy, Mandy Donnelly” she said with a smile, she always introduced herself with a welcoming smile, it was the polite thing to do. “You may have seen me from time to time at the bottom of most the pyramids. There seems to be a vendetta against me and actual cheerleading talent in this squad” she chuckled as she glanced a bit at the mean girls and their little group. “So that ship has sailed huh? That’s a real shame, you really have some talent for cheerleading, better than most the girls now.” Which was no lie, she was good, Mandy was a little jealous but no harm, she didn’t care to be mean to anyone she was jealous about, well it wasn’t bad jealous, she just wished she was as good as Lana was. “So, if it isn’t cheerleading, what’s it going to be for you huh? I mean, you don't seem like the girl who likes doing nothing” Well she was a nosey little lady, but that’s how it was sometimes, she was never shy when it came to asking the big questions. The hard hitting questions, she was like an interviewer tying to get all the important details.

She seemed cool. Giving her name, she gave her a nod. It was good to meet some not brain dead cheerleaders. The LA squad was superficial and really, really draining. But Mandy reminded her of - Bonnie. Bonnie was the freshman cheerleader back in Detroit. Bonnie had a smile, but was always appreciated. With an exception of Poppy and Pandora, the Detroit Fairies all stuck together, and just clicked. There wasn't anyone left out, there were a family. Maybe it was the collective fairy thing, since they were connected and stuff. But Bonnie was a small girl blessed with fire throwing, but died before she could get the hang of it. All of them did, and it was the saddest thing. The fairies were there family, and they made a mistake, and it has broken them up forever. There was nothing she could do about that now, but just put on a smile and crossed her arms, as Mandy explained herself. God love her, at the bottom? Lana gave a sympathetic smirk as she herself looked at the stuck up snobs. What she would give for the opportunity to stop on their faces.
When they say that flattery will get you no where, they lied. Lana giggled slightly when she said it. "Thanks Mandy, I'm sure your pretty rad too. But cheerleading - I dunno, it used to define me. Everyone saw me as the pretty blonde who did what she was told, but I can definitely say that - it's not who I am anymore. The skills it gives just give me that plus advantage". She smirked as she stood now beside Mandy. Maybe not all of LA cheerleaders sucked wang, maybe she had made a friend. And a normal one too, how strange for her. She was beginning to think she was a freak magnet. What could she say, Lana was a freak inside and out. So conforming to such a stereotype for a blonde teenager as cheerleading was probably passed. Like what if she does a flip, lands on her neck and gets back up. She didn't want that kind of drama, so no more cheerleading. Just excessive amounts of chilling and saving the world for this fairy now. "And I would have to say, don't worry what those plastic posers think. It's cheerleader - and you have spirit. I know that much still". She smiled, before walking towards the stands with Mandy.
What was she going to do next? Really? Okay, you don't ask an Evans on options - or future plans - or anything. They are present people, where the future just seems to impossible to plan. So she was stumped, stuck with a resonating "Um". What could she do next? "I'm a photographer - well in theory. I have the camera and everything so I guess its a start. But apart from that - I'm not really sure. I'll find something I guess, I always do". She smiled and kicked across the ground, looking at the girl for a second as they reached the stands, and she tucked her legs up but making sure she didn't look like a sluz with any spanky-viewage. She didn't exactly care but that was besides the point. "So how about you Mandy? Just cheerleading, any other fun and mutually-amateur tenancies you would like to share?". Lana smirked as she played with a hair sprayed strand of pink on the back of her head. This was good. Some girl time that didn't involve getting kicked through a staircase framing or fight superpowered jocks. Just two girls sitting and chilling - something normal... FOR ONCE!

Oh Mandy knew exactly what Lana was talking about, Mandy was always expected to do as she was told, which she hated, but she never did what she was told, well maybe she did sometimes but she did them at her own pace, plus she did a whole lot of things behind everyone’s back, it was the only way she could keep her own sanity. Which is where Rodney came in handy, she could always be herself around him and no judgment what so ever, just her being her and him not expecting certain things about her. “Oh thank you, I’m pretty alright and I know what you mean, but you shouldn’t let it, I mean I actually know my IQ is above average, how many cheerleaders can say that?” Mandy giggled, which was right, most those cheerleaders thought IQ was some fashion line or something; they were not the brightest peaches in the basket, if that was even a saying. “Well, I don’t think I have spirit, I just have an odd amount of energy that just won’t go away and I sometimes just start talking to much and then say odd things, just another example that all blonds aren’t perfect, or that’s what people thinks, or they think their boobs are, well, that can’t be true, because mine are so small, though that doesn’t stop them from staring and now I’m rambling aren’t I?” Mandy laughed, she never knew why she did that, but she had an odd bad habit of saying more than needed.
Well here was a bit of a surprise, the young lady was a photographer or well, wanted to be one, guess she was one of those artsy girls huh? Mandy only figured as much, guess this was another fun person to add to her array of people she knew. Which Mandy hand no issue with, she liked socializing with anyone really it didn’t matter who or what they did, as long as they liked having fun, what really the problem after that? “Oh, that’s great, so I know who to go to when I’m looking for someone to take some great pictures of me? That sounded so conceited didn’t it? Not obsessed with myself” Mandy said slightly as she laughed. “I just hate taking pictures sometimes, and if anyone can make me look good on camera why pass off the offer huh” Mandy said as she raised her shoulders. She was right, why do so? If Lana could take some awesome pictures, maybe some of her and Raygan whenever she got back or her and Rodney, why would she pass up the offer. “But your right, Life always brings us unsuspected surprises, why decide why we want to do now? We’re still young and lots and lots more to experience” Mandy said kindly. Which was true, her one time meeting with Raygan made them friends and Rodney was a splendid surprise to her life.
So she wanted to know more about Mandy, what was there to say really? Mandy was oddly like most girls even though she tried not to be, she was girly in so many ways, she sometimes sickened herself. But what can she say, she wasn’t a stereotype though, which she liked. “Well, what can I say, I live such a boring life, I do lots of shopping sadly, but I’m good at it, great bargain shopper here, I can save you so much money, which I know is odd coming from a rich girl, but I’m good with numbers so might as well put that talent to use I say” Mandy said cheerfully as she laughed, it was pretty weird for someone who had as much money as she did to be so picky with prices, maybe the idea that it wasn’t her money made her that way. “But aside from dating complete boneheads, working out a lot and juggling three majors…don’t think there is much for me to do on my free time” she said giggling as she dug in her bag a bit and checked her phone, nothing as she expected. She quickly glanced back up at Lana and continued to talk to her. “So how many collage boys approached you already since setting foot on campus, though I wouldn’t waste my time with half the football team, they are for the most part idiots, well not all but most” she suggested, which was true, Rodney was part of the team and he wasn’t a complete tool, so there must be more like him on the team, at least a couple more.

"Not many I'd wager". Talk about overwhelming. This girl liked to talk, and not just the casual talk, but ramble so much. Lana didn't know how to take her right now as she went to speak but was cut off. She was slightly - intimidating right now. Or crazy, take your pick. But she was sweet, and innocent, and lively. Lana could vaguely remember feeling like this, but that was pretty far gone now. It went from routines, boys and prada to ambush tactics, demons and weaponry. Not exactly this seasons collection right! But it was something, and she had that 'purpose' thing most people were searching for. But as she looked to Mandy, she thought. She could never - ever - ever go back to this life. Not that their is anything wrong with it but she wouldn't give up being supernatural for anything, because her life right now was bleak, but she could never say that it was boring. And if he biggest worry was boys then she would go nuts. Um, just a lil bit". She said as she shook off that kind of excessively-wordy attack and kept moving. But no, she could never be like this. She needs people with something - a little more three dimensional around her. Mandy was a sweet girl, but this could never be her kind of group. Cas, Ness and even Pandora on occasion; those are her kind of girls. Those that don't remind you that life is fantastic.
She couldn't help but smirk at her. She didn't know if she was nervous or just quirky, but it was like a cute little sister at this point. She didn't see her as a cheerleader, she really didn't. But she had to snicker just a little. "I guess". They kept moving, and then Mandy actually said something pretty profound. Too bad getting every experience was extremely limited for Lana. She had made it to LA where she has fought demonic footballers, been blown up far too many times and has spent the week trying to appeal to the good side of a vicious killer. Who said that experience was limited again? But aside from the supernatural, what could she accomplish. Become the first president with a degree in glistening? An actress with paparazzi finding out about demons and ruining her life? Lots to experience was nothing for Lana, but hey, she can't die so what the hell right?
The girl went into her life. Once again, very ordinary. It kind of made Lana slightly jealose that this chick was not only rich but could actually complain of a boring life, but she just nodded. Bargain shopping? She hadn't really done it before. She had her parents life ensurance and additional funds from Ev, but she hadn't really used it all year. Well - until now. Now, she was getting dresses and tights, changing her look and style. Being able to regenerate was fun, but it kind of made her feel - stuck. You fight, you die, you move on. Lana could only keep on fighting. So she kept changing and kept up with these new facades to prove that she could change. But if she can't die, can she age? While Mandy had the luxery to think about boneheads and school Lana thought about this. How was this fair? "None of them actually. Color me relieved! Boys and I aren't really on behaved playing fields anyways. You don't know if they like you or - want to burn your face off right!" She smirked and then looked down at her phone. It was a mms of - a picture. Looking down at it, she tapped on it as it started to open. She didn't have the number and it was weirdly arranged. That should have been the first sign, and as it opened her mouth dropped. It looked like the alley on 27th, and it was a body. Maybe two, burnt together on the ground with blood everywhere. Her eyes went wide as she looked at it and knew exactly who it was until another message came through. "I'm waiting for you...." Lana's heart nearly dropped as a tear came into her eye as she looked up at Mandy. "Um - I - Mandy, I have to go. But - um - I'll facebook..... Yeah". Without properly bidding her new 'friend' goodbye, she ran across the lawn behind the bleachers, and in mid run glistened. How could he do this now? Lana now felt broken. And that he life wasn't normal - but it wasn't without hope. She just didn't know why she had so much hope for him.
