She walked into the hospital looking like a nightmare from a horror flick. Covered in pigs blood to the point that it slowly dripped on the floor she cradled her hand and whimpered. It hurt and the rage that had kept the pain at bay was long gone. She'd walked her ass here looking like a chick from a slasher flick.
The shock of what she'd gone through began to hit her and she looked about her as she realized nurses and doctors were surrounding her and asking her questions. She blinked and shook her head as they asked her who had done this. She didn't know who it was. She didn't know and it would take a while for even the vampires to learn of it. She didn't dare even go home because it would be like waving an EAT ME sign in front of herself. Her brain began trying to cope now that she was safe and the stupidest song in the world came to her mind "Supercalifragelisticexpialidocious" she idly wondered why of all things that popped in her head but who was she to make fun of the ear worm that her brain came up with? It was better than "Its a Small World." for heavens sake.
She felt some of the nurses taking her to a room to wash her down and see how bad the damage was. She felt the hot water wash over her and watched the blood roll down the drain. Blood. Moving blood...she sat down and did her best to get it all off in a frenzy. Soft moans acoumpanying her movements as she tried to clean herself with one hand. She had to get it all off....
Her mind came back to itself sometime after she'd been put in a hospital gown and was sitting in a room. She'd managed to have her ID on her somewhere and they were calling Diana and her dad. A nurse asked to see her hand and she let her see it but when the woman went to straighten it she screamed and yowled and pulled it back clutching it to herself brokenly as she began to rock. The movement made her sick and she went for a plastic bucket. The nurse held it as she vomited blood from her dive in the river of blood. She tried to sit up but the sight of it caused her vision to swim as she felt herself starting to pass out.

It was one of those days where life just decided to pile it on. Not only were his shifts feeling increasingly longer, but Sienna had stopped showing up to work altogether. Right after he asked her out, she went and disappeared. Logan was entirely unsure how to feel about that, had he done something he was unaware of to offend her? He wasn't asking her to commit to a white pickett fence, a yard, or kids. It was just suppose to be dinner. Sighing as he wiped his face with a towel, he put his scrubs back on, with such a rush going on he took a few seconds to scrub himself down to keep himself from smelling like a gym sock.
There was a commotion outside in the hall ways, just great, this was exactly what he needed right now. Grabbing his stethoscope, Logan threw it around his neck, rushing out into the hallway. It was truly his day it seemed, because Marina was the one in the hallway, covered in blood. There were so many things this could have been, in his mind they all lead back to that creeper of a father. Pushing his way through the nurses, he was the one to help her into the room, though he said nothing for the longest time as she seemed unresponsive as the nurses helped her change. "Get her something for the pain, for her nerves, and something to help her sleep." he said, sending the nurse off.
"Reginald?" he asked, he didn't even need to specify what he was asking about, by now she would know. There was a look of concern on his face, though there was also a look of sheer frustration. He had lost three patients today, now there was one sitting in front of him in what seemed to be shock from whatever happened to her. Sighing, he took her hand in his own, closing his eyes for a moment. There was a white light that gathered around his hands, a soothing warmth that eminated from them as her wounds started to slowly correct themselves. It was not however without it's pain, as the bones in her hands started to crack, fixing themselves. He could only dull the pain to an extent, she would still feel some of it.
Sweating slightly, he sat back a bit on his stool, arms resting on his knees now as he stared her down. He had almost nothing else to say to her until she explained what happened, he needed to know the situation before he could say anything worth hearing.

She seemed to come back to herself as she heard Logan's voice and shook her head, "No, I don't know who it was. One minute I was helping an old lady with her purse and the next thing I know someone jabbed me with a needle and I blacked out."
Her wet hair tickled her neck as she began to shake, "He stuck me in this place off first and Maple. It was really freaky. I woke up and was chained to the floor. A friend of mine got the key for me but he was hurt so he got it close to me. I broke my hand to get it out of the manacle and used the key to unlock myself. Then I dragged him out of the room because the walls were closing in on us..." she shook her head as the nurse gave her some medication, "I swear Logan I'm not making this up. I didn't see who did it." she shuddered softly and went quiet.
When her hand started to mend she cried in pain. She was too exhausted to try and cover it up. Ducking her head so he didn't see her tears as she sat there and the few scratches she had healed themselves, "The next room required I dive into a river of blood with animal parts in it and find two animal hearts. I had to put them in jars and then the door opened. It was sick but I h-h-held it together f-f-for my friend but he's still stuck in there and no one is gonna believe me." she said as she tried to get her mind off her hand. Sweating as the last few bones mended themselves.
"I walked here after I got out. I didn't want to walk home and my phone wasn't with me to call anyone." she said as she shivered softly and sat there.

There was a heavy sigh as listened to her story, unsure what sort of place this city was degenerating into. "Someone should give you a girl scout badge, not many people in this city would even bat an eyelash at someone else." he said as he moved to the door and looked out into the hall. No one seemed to be coming so he closed the door, deciding that their conversation was best left for their ears only. Turning back to face her, Logan started to feel pretty weird, as if his energy was returning at an alarmingly fast rate.
Shaking it off, he sat down on a stool next to her bed, leaning against it. "Sounds like a scene out of Saw. If your friend is still there, wouldn't it be a good idea to try and get some help anyway? Someone might believe you, I do." he said as he tried to comfort her. Regardless of whether or not he believed her was irrelevant though. He was a doctor, not a detective, there wasn't a whole lot that he was in the position to do other than sign off on the fact that she wasn't crazy or on drugs. "What about.. your father..?" he started, though it was almost painful to even mention that man.
Logan could tell she was in pain from the healing, but it was that or risk them healing the wrong way. As he folded his hands, they started to cover themselves in a weird light. His skin was warm to the touch, soothing, and seemed to be giving off the same light as a sun ray glowing off of a white piece of cloth. It could almost be described as angelic, however he had always thought that his powers were some sort of gift from a higher being, not nesscarily the god that everyone believed in.
"You.. can use.. my.. phone.." he said, his hands held up in front of his face now as he watched them with confusion. It was almost as if he was drawn to them, like a moth to a flame, he was baffled by this. "What the heck is going on.." he muttered to himself, it was like his body was going into over drive. His energy levels were spiking, he felt absolutely amazing, as if he had never been tired a day in his life before. His body was healing it's self from the effects of exhaustion, oddly enough, somehow he was able to soothe it away in his own body.
Sitting in his chest pocket was his mobile, but he was clearly too distracted by his own hands to hand it to her.

"I've never understood how others can look the other way. I never could. I can't just shut myself off from people like that." she said with a shake of her head as she regarded him, "Its just not who I choose to be, Logan." she was still shivering from her experience but she was sincere. Half the problems she had were because she cared too much. The last few weeks had given her some insight into herself and she realized that even if becoming a cupid was random seeming it was meant to happen. It felt like she was training for a marathon. Yes, this hurt emotionally but so did working out at times. You still had to work past it.
"Oh I am so reporting this in. I did not become a consultant with the police force to just sit back and let things like this happen. My only concern is that it is supernatural in nature but I've got that covered as well." she looked at him and exhaled slowly, "My father wants many things, Logan. But torturing me remotely in some pyramid of the damned is not one of them. He's an up front and personal sadist. He's not for remote torture." she hated to talk about her father. The files said it all clearer than she could. Her dad was a pervert. Plain and simple but he wasn't that insane...yet.
"Logan, you're powers are increasing. It looks like your healing me amplified it." she said as she looked at his hands and then back at him as she got his phone from his pocket and after a few moments she was dialing Darryl, "Darryl, I need you to get over to..." the rest of the conversation revolved around her capture and the place she was held as well as the fact he would need supernaturals to clean up the mess. She looked over at Logan and squeezed his hands before finally hanging up the phone and placing it back in his pocket, "Settle down their Galen. You're pretty amazing but even you gotta pull it back a bit." she said as she looked at him, "How is your pulse? Breathing? Any trouble with your vision or perception? How many fingers am I holding up?" she asked as she held up three and waited for him to respond.

"Not everyone can shoulder the burden of others on top of their own. Can't blame them for that." he said, offering a gentle shrug of his shoulders. Though he was hardly paying attention to much else anymore. Of course things were going wrong, but in the middle of it something seemed to be getting so much better at the same time. His abilities were growing, something he could not figure out on his own, he needed to find someone like himself that could explain it. The problem with that was he felt like he might be the only one of his kind, at least in this city. Find a true healer would be like a needle in a hay stack.
"Consultant with the police force? When did that happen? How?" he asked, raising a brow. From what he knew, she was not some super math wizard. She wasn't a detective, so it made him semi-curious as to what her link to the force was, what they needed from her. It was distracting enouogh for him to look away from his hands for a moment, though the light was not content to stay just in his hands. As he looked at her inquisitively, he was slowly becoming enveloped in a faint white aura as his abilities seemed to be working themselves out without his will factoring into the equation.
It was growing increasingly hard to concentrate though as he felt like a charging battery. He was fidgeting, as if he was absorbing energy into himself from the living things around him. He wasn't stealing it, no, it was more like he was converting the energy that they gave off into his own energy, recycling. While he still relied on his own energy to heal people, it seemed that there would be a lot more of it to go around in the times ahead. Unknown to him however, he would be needing it, every single ounce of power he could muster.
Shaking his head, Logan came back to reality for a moment. "No, I didn't mean your father was responsible. I meant he might be able.. to.. help." he said, drawing a deep breath as he steadied himself. There was one final flash and then the aura of light vanished, however not before blowing out the windows and knocking everything on the tables in the room onto the floor.

"Well you seem to be pretty good with handling it." she smiled weakly and exhaled softly. Letting the subject shift away from her to him. "Are you doing okay?"
"I help solve cold cases. They hired me on as the resident psychic. I see dead people so it helps them figure out what happened in a lot of cases. Its not an exact science but it gives me something to do that's good." she said with a soft smile, "You look like you're going through some changes." she said softly as she watched the glow overtake him. She pushed her glasses up on her nose and shifted slightly on the bed. The sedatives were starting to take effect and she really found it was getting hard to concentrate.
"You should go rest and let yourself relax as you get used to what is happening with you." she murmured to him as she saw him twitch and felt his edginess, "You seem like you're going through more than me right now." she mused as she felt his emotions shift. She smiled softly, "Is there anything I can do to help you?"
"My father...." she winced as she saw his powers exploded the windows and she ducked as glass shattered and things fell on the floor, "My father and I aren't living together. He and my step-mom broke up and I'm staying with her." she admitted as she peeked and saw the shattered glass. "Looks like you need more help than me right now." she said as she looked at him with a sympathetic look. "Look, why don't you come over to my mom's address in a day or so and we'll try to figure this out."

"On the surface, maybe. But even what appears to be undisturbed on the surface has vibrations rippling through it." he said, though after he said it paused. The look on his face expressed genuine confusion, as if he had no idea where something like that had come from. It usually wasn't in his nature to say something like that, he was more the blunt and to the point sort of guy. Something was definitely wrong with him today, maybe whatever was going on with his powers was frying his brain or something.
Raising a brow at her, he muttered something like "Ah, right" as he ran a hand through his hair as a nervous habit. It still didn't really register to him that these things truly existed, sometimes he didn't even want to know. There was a certain bliss in knowing the thing that fell over somewhere else was just the wind, not some sort of supernatural boogie man that was going to claim your soul. The less he knew the better he felt, however it seemed that there was no half in or out in this world. Whether he liked it or not his abilities made him a part of it and he was quickly getting a crash course in the basics.
"Changing? I have no idea what that was. Something is happening, but I don't know what. I feel.. like there is a warm fire rippling across my skin." he explained, looking down at his own hands. There was no other way to explain what was happening. Though unknown to him they were not the only two aware of what was going on inside of him. That energy flare rippled across the realms like a beacon, one that would send some demons into a frenzy. There was something out in the open, something worth killing for all the good it would do if left unchecked. Whatever healing her had done to him, it also painted a giant bulls eye on Logan as well.
"No, no. Don't worry about it. You're probably not going to be awake much longer. Just rest, we'll talk about what happened later, alright?" he said, before hearing her mention her living situation. He was glad to know that she was away from the man, though part of him felt sorry for Reginald. The seperation from ones own child, despite age, was never easy. He was a monster though, why did he feel such remorse for the mans current situation? Either way, he would take the news that she was secure and be happy with just knowing that.
"I'll be alright, I'll just walk it off or something. I have alot of work to do anyway." he said, taking the address from her. "..but if you really want I could come over I guess. I figure we can put your detective skills to use, Sherlock." he joked as he looked at his watch.

She shook her head slightly, "I agree with you but right now your aura is flaring so bad I can't get a read on you, Logan." she admitted as she looked into his eyes and her own seemed to glow with an inner light as she shook her head to clear it.
"You're almost too bright to look at with my aura sight." Mari admitted. My senses are scrambled when it comes to you, Logan. I think you need to meet a friend of mine. His name is Michael and he can probably help you." she said softly as she touched his arm and felt the energy he spoke of, "Why am I picking up on that?" she asked softly.
"You're a very kind man, Logan." she murmured as she looked at him and her eyes took on that drugged look which meant the sedative was working on her slowly. She slowly blinked at him and tried not to yawn. Her eyes felt heavy.
"I think it would really help you." she said when he agreed to come by. "It might help sort out a lot of what has been going on lately and help you make sense of it all." she slid into the bed and pulled the covers over herself. Warm blankets were very comforting.
