"Let me get this straight," the Asian boy nearly shouted at the Friday behind the glass window. "I can't see him because I'm a member of his gang? But his lawyer, a former member, and his primary health adviser, also a former member, can. Is this the former part, cause let me clue you in Friday!" Jyo stopped and took a deep breath, quickly his voice changed from raw anger to cool death. "There is no such thing as former Black Rose. Even the Cat and the Snake have to be putting in work where ever they've ended up at!" He slammed his hands against the safety glass separating him from his target, and it rattled in place.
He put his hand over his eyes trying to take a deep breath before he started shooting at a police station. Great way for death by cop. "You know what. Never mind. I don't want to calm down and talk to you like a person, because you're not one. Your a friday. Not even a real cop. And I thought the DA was a bitch and half. At least she does something!" He flipped the person behind the glass off and walked back to the back of the foyer. He'd just wait for the lawyer to come, he'd deliver his message for him. Jyo just had to let his brother know that his new nephew hadn't been hurt when his sister had been shot... He just had to.
Jyo walked outside and pulled the package of cigarettes out of his pocket. Sure, they were still a drug, but legal drugs weren't against the rules, it was what ever they were selling that wasn't. He took a long breath of the first stick and match in his hand and looked at it. He'd been contemplating college. Med school sounded nice. Get him off the streets, but his brother still had a year to go. The smoke burned his lungs, altering the genetics of the cells, causing them to become cancerous.
Images of lung cancers flooded into his mind. His lung cancers. His current choice would give him cancer. Jyo cursed. Knowing that werewolves and Vampires were real still didn't tell him why he knew these things. He cursed to himself and put the cigarette out, crushing it under his heel. He could die like that, not after what had happened over the last month. One of the worst gang wars since El Eme had left the prisons for the streets. But those idiots that thought they could over throw the legacy of the Snake deserved what they got. Every single brother and sister lost in the last month was worth the enemy that they had laid low. Never underestimate the usefulness of former Marines living on the streets.

Mari came out of the office area of the police station when she sensed the familiar emotion pattern of Jyo. Walking up respectfully she made noise so he wouldn't think she'd snuck up on him. The light hitting her as she made her way there, her rose heart colored glasses perched on her nose to protect her eyes. "Hey Jyo. What's up? Anything I can help you with? I do consultant work here from time to time on cold cases." she said as she tilted her head and regarded the very handsome Asian man with a flush to her cheeks. What is it with L.A. and gorgeous people? She sneezed lightly at the brief bit of cigarette smoke and then smiled at him. Her blue top and black slacks gave her a professional look she was striving for while being comfortable. She tilted her head and tossed her braid over her shoulder, "How are you doing? I've not seen you in a while." she said as she struck a casual pose. She had been through a lot herself. Her cupid makeover being the biggest change. She looked like she'd been reworked to be runway model perfect thanks to the powers that be changing her. She was still awkward in her body though and tended to move like a young deer learning where to put her legs at times. For all her geeky gorgeousness the smile she gave the gang member was genuine and she listened intently to what he said, shifting to move away from the police station and more towards the street where cars waited for their owners and the meters ran down. Stopping by one she placed about an hours worth of change in it so she could stand and talk to Jyo until they decided to go elsewhere.

Jyo whipped around nearly expecting his God Son's Grandmother... "Oh Mari... Hey," he said flippantly. He was about to turn around again when he stopped and looked at her. "You're gifted?" he asked her, he knew she was though. Damn this gift; why hadn't it warned him earlier of her gifts. "So that's what you do, you're a psychic?" Like Yolie? Why hadn't he thought about that before? Hm... Could that explain him?
He shrugged his thought pattern off when Mari asked him what had been up. Jyo laughed nearly violently. "You mean you didn't hear? For the last month the Black Rose has been at violent war with three different Gangs... The 102's, La Mirada Locos, and Blue Diamond. A couple of La Mirada Locos attacked a couple 102's then the 102 attacked a couple of my Brothers because they were black... And of coarse when Blue Diamond found out that we were under attack they attacked us..." Jyo leaned back against the wall of the station watching anyone who looked even slightly lawery pass. "But we were big enough, the only thing we had to worry about was that La Mirada Locos are related to El Eme... But our strength and numbers meant that war with them cut into both of our profits. They were willing to deal after a months worth of profits went from hundreds of thousands to hundreds for three weeks..." He put an unlit cigarette to his lips sucking on the Nicotene. "Blue Diamond have always waited till we were weaker, but they always loose more then they gain. They lost big time this time. Most of the casualties were theirs... Never underestimate Army Snippers."
"You don't have to wait for me you know. I'm just trying to help a Brother..." He sighed and just started talking for no reason. "Before we put Blue Diamond down, they attacked us, and my brother and his girl were hanging out outside her place and a Diamond shot at them both." Jyo flicked the cigarette away angry; he wasn't getting anything done, and not getting anything he needed from that stick of plant. After a moment Jyo began again. "He killed the bastard dead. She was sent to the hospital and he was brought here last we heard. He's been worried about her and their baby... She was seven months pregnant." Jyo sighed starting to deflate and slid to the floor.
It looked like Mari was still standing where he'd left her when he'd gotten distracted. He snorted. "Real surprising right? A couple of no good thugs with no prospects being good parents? With their thug homeboys actually looking after them? Must be real shocking." He rolled his eyes again.

"Partially. I'm a psychic and a Cupid. I help heal people emotionally and foster love in all its forms including helping the dead to find peace with themselves and their loved ones." she scratched her arm lightly, her mark from Michael showing slightly, a tilt of her head let him catch sight of the initials TDM on her neck. As she listened to him both for what he said and did not say.
"My family has been having a personal meltdown. My stepmom and dad broke up and my stepmom sort of took custody of me because my dad was really starting to lose it. She and Trent took over the vampire community immediately afterwards which is why Trent marked me with his initials. I mean its not a gang like yours is but it lets the others know I'm under his protection." she folded her hands in front of her. Her relationship with Trent was complicated to say the least. "My mom wants me to marry Trent eventually. Trent wants it too....I'm just trying to figure life out. Not so sure I wanna settle down just yet ya know?" she listened to his statements about the gang war. "I'm sorry all that shit went down, Jyo." it was really all she could say. She wasn't a part of a gang in quite the same way. "I just have to deal with being a princess of the vampires." she shrugged, "Not like I did anything to earn it." Gotta love vampire royalty. "What room is she in, Jyo? I've got a doctor that could probably help her out a lot. He's a healer." she said softly, "I can't take away the crap that's gone down but I can help some. You just let me know and I'll let my friend know to be on the lookout for her okay?"
"I'd never say that about your family. People are people, Jyo and they deserve to be happy and safe just like anyone else. Its not my place to judge you. I mean yeah I've got money but my dad beat me and tried to get in my pants every day from the time I was twelve till my mom lost it at him and we took off. She and Trent had been trying to get him help but me being a cupid just made him go more insane so they took me away. This on top of the fact that my ex boyfriend showed up and wantss me back. I know its not as bad as what you go through or your homies. I'm just sorry you have so much on your shoulders." she sat down next to him, "I can't fix a lot of stuff but you're a friend so if I can help you out by making sure you get medical I'll do what I can." she looked at him, "I deal with the heart, Jyo. That defies all boundaries you know." she winked at him and looked into his eyes, "I'll do what I can for ya."

Jyo looked up at her, family meltdowns were nothing in his world. "He initialed you?" Jyo knocked his head to the side looking at her as she continued. "I can understand not wanting to get married. It's not like marriage really matters anymore any way." He pointed at her neck. "You know in my world, putting your initials on a woman means she belongs to you, and you can do what ever he wants with you." He opened his palm and shrugged. "Including sell you for ass to any of his friends, beating your ass, and making you run his drugs. Just FYI."
He looked at her and smiled at her weakly. "She'll be okay, the doctor's released her once they cleared any possible damage to the baby from falling on her stomach... But no one, not even her has been able see him... Something stupid about them suspecting he's in Council... As if... They should know that even if he had been, that we've replaced Council by now..." He snorted. "Just shows you what the police know, right?"
"Compared to this guy who had to brand you to protect you, I'd say you ex can't be to bad." Jyo waved his hand. "It's fine. Every brother and sister lost was just one more name to the legacy of the Cat and Snake. Their names will go down as defenders of the Brother Hood and be remembered. This is just incredibly annoying..." Jyo jerked his thumb back at the wall behind him. "Our job is to protect each other and our turf. These idiots would never understand. They look and see just another Gang. They would never understand what we do to survive. What we do to support our brothers and sisters!" He leaned against the wall and rested his arms against his knees. "I doubt anyone that hasn't been here would."

She exhaled slowly, "The vampire world is a little different, Jyo. Trent and my mom are the Elders of the community. They are the highest authority of it in the city. This mark...well it means many different things It means that no one touches me. No one. Not without dying horribly by him anyway. Its...well Its like I said it means I'm under his protection. Its not like a gang initiation...I mean it wasn't...well I didn't get jumped in or anything like that. I didn't even realize what he did until after. It didn't hurt it....well...." she blushed and looked down. "It was like a really good hickey. I mean that's the closest I can explain it anyway. Wasn't like we got freaky or anything." She shrugged her shoulders, "Its just there are a lot of factors and I don't think Trent's thought it all through. I'm just trying to be smart about it. He's male and he may have to make deals and even I realize it might not be a good idea to be seen as being with me."
She looked down at the ground, "There are people that think I'm a bad influence on him. Its all this vampire purity crud I dunno. I'm just trying to make sure he has options. Its not just about me its about doing what's best for his people."
"Yeah there are always folks that think they know more than they do. Its just epic suckatude. I'm glad your sister in law is going to be okay though."
"My ex flipped out when he got turned into a werewolf and tried to turn me. He's not all there, Jyo. He freaking broke my collar bone. I am pretty easy going but when a guy hits me its over. I don't care what his issue is. Philip is a complete loose cannon. He doesn't respect hiarchies or anything and he's completely undisciplined. I'm freaking immune to the were virus and he can't accept it. I mean the man just showed up at school, I told him about Trent and he was just completely dismissive of everything I said to him. Trent is no saint by any means but he's never hurt me ever. Yes he marked me but it didn't hurt and I can understand his reasons behind it. Besides with some of the reactions that me being a cupid causes some folks its good to have someone watching my back. Especially since my half brother is like freaking out and trying to kill my dad."
"I won't claim to understand what you're going through, Jyo. I didn't grow up in your world but I'm sorry all the same." she sighed softly at him as she looked at him with sympathy, "All any of us can do is the best we can with what we have." she shook her hair out of her eyes, "Have you thought about going back to school? I mean you mentioned wanting to be a doctor. I think it would be a good thing for you. I really do."

Jyo scoffed. "Wow, he got you drinking the Kool-Aid, huh?" Jyo shook his head. "My colors didn't hurt all that much either you know?" He touched the back of his neck. "So how is that different from the guy that runs the Mongols who takes care of his girls, hunts down and kills anyone who hurts them, is a very high ranking person in the human underworld, and still uses his girls how ever he pleases, as mules, as tools, as ass. How ever you'd think to use a girl." He smirked at her. "I'd say, if your leach is anything like my brothers' claim others can be, I'd say ditch him... Risk and reward business sex is, and I'd say anyone who'd brand you is too much risk and not enough reward..."
He shook his head, "Don't matter who's good or bad for whom. Marriage is a risky business... Too few to make it forever like they claimed... And even fewer actually mean it. And with someone who can't trust you, and even marks you to prove it... Sounds like you won't make it to forever." Jyo looked at her for a moment confused when she mentioned sister-in-law. "In-Law? Oh!" Jyo shook his head with a smile. "No, no, no. We're brother-sister. She's a full member of the brotherhood, just like my brother." He jerked his thumb. "Sorry. My younger blood-brother's dead, and my elder blood-brother's too busy drying up the family to think about anyone but himself."
"You catch ringers don't you Mari?" He asked her sounding amused. "Perhaps you should just start dating humans from here on in, yea?" he asked trying not to smirk. He pointed at her. "Don't think people gotta brand you to avoid trouble. All you gotta do is ask and I can make you an official hang around, the second largest network of Drug Lords this side of the boarder at your back, ready to rumble. Maybe we might ask you to do the occasional shady thing, but since you're not a sister, we wouldn't trust you to do any of the heavy lifting. You never have to trust that dirtbag if you don't want to."
Uhh, sympathy, why him? He hated underserved sympathy. "Yea, just as I can't understand your story Mari. Which is why we get along so well. You catch ringers... It's my destiny to be one... It's the great circle of life." He looked at her for a moment trying to decide how best to tell her... "Well I guess... Right now I'm putting my Elder Brother through Med School... He's to useless for financial aide... I couldn't go back till Ivy League drop out finishes... I couldn't do that to my mother..." He looked back out at her. "And you? I mean Cupids... With bow and arrow's right? Alchmal Silver Halved with Sterling Silver tipped arrows should be pretty deadly to the magical world?" He held a finger up in surprise. "And I have a friend who uses Holy Water filled Silver Hollow points when she's hunting. Perhaps I can find her distributer?"

"I get what you're saying, Jyo." she nodded solemnly as she looked at him and wished she had pockets, "Its not that simple. The thing with Trent was arraigned by my dad and seconded by my stepmom. I'm not sure what offers and exchanges were made and besides just being seen with Trent nearly got me jumped by a rival faction. If Trent hadn't marked me my mother probably would have and THAT woulda just been odd cause I don't swing that way and she's my mom. Getting marked doesn't hurt its just like the best orgasm you ever had without actually having to grind up on someone. I didn't realize that was what was happening at the time but its kinda a permanent thing." she exhaled and looked at him, "And I didn't drink the koolaid. I know what vampires do probably better than anyone. When all your relatives are vampires, succubi and incubi you keep your head down and you pray to whatever deity that you believe in that they don't notice you. I only have one cousin on my mom's side that turned out alright and he's completely different from me."
She saw what he meant. In gangland forever was a relative term. "Well that's why I've convinced him to hold off on the wedding bells. I won't marry someone on impulse and with how things shift and move I'd really rather have the flexibilty to bug out if I need to. There are bigger forces at work than Trent and my mom."
"Well 'm investigating that possibility but I'm also the type that respects my mom enough to introduce her to whomever I do date. I mean its kinda complicated. Sneaking around just doesn't work with me."
She blinked in shock, "Oh honey that's sweet of you but a nerd like me would totally wreck your street cred. Besides my elder brother Samael is stalking me so the fewer connections I have to regular humans the safer folks are. I mean I know you can shoot Samael's balls off but most humans can't. He's got freaking telekinesis and fire. Its just some trippy shit. He wants me to flip on my family and I refuse to do it. I'm not gonna narc on my dad so my brother can take over Hell. its just not happening." she looked at him, "Sam is this pale looking dude, ripped all to hell with brown hair and red eyes. You see him coming you and your brothers and sisters get the hell outta his way. He's a total sick fuck man. I watched him snap a guy's neck like it was a twig. And he's a total freaking smooth talker. He'd have you selling your soul just so you got five more minutes of time to live."
"Sorry about your blood brother being the way he is. My story isn't that different, Jyo. Instead of a crime family I grew up in a demonic one. I was the great disappointment. I turned out good and all 13 of my brothers turned into demons of their own volition. They all fought and scrambled to be top on the totem pole and now there is just Samael verses my dad. Samael wants to take over the fifth level of hell by killing my dad and I got tasked by the arch angel Michael to stop him." she gestured to the mark on her shoulder." she looked down at the ground. Then back up at him, "Hey, what if I offered you a deal. You keep an ear to the ground for me about my brother and I'll cover your schooling and pay ya extra for expenses. I mean you don't have to talk to my brother but if you hear about him just let me know what you find. No cops non of the mundane forces just between us. I mean I am forming a group up to deal with some of the less savory supernatural types that are causing crap and you're welcome to join that too if you want but the offer is still there. If you join my group that does missions then you'd get full medical, pay, and make your own hours."
"Oh I don't even know how to shoot a gun, Jyo. I mean I know how to load it and check it but I've never actually fired anything. I don't know the first thing about weapons." she admitted with a flush. I mean my team could probably use a steady distributor and such but I'd be the chick organizing stuff mostly. I mean I guess I could go on a mission but I have zero combat skills."

He shook his head. "You're making excuses Mari. Why? Are you afraid of these people?" When she said you had to keep your head down Jyo rolled his eyes. "You sound like a Neutral in my old High School Mari. Let me tell you something. I have to think like these people, and I'm here to tell you, you don't let anyone, family or otherwise, brand you." Jyo waved his hand finally. "You can't keep your head down with people like us. If they regularly kill people, then they will do what ever it takes to make their lives easier. It's better to just cut them out of your life if you can, if not... I hear Wic-Sec is an excellent program." He straightened his shoulders, daring her to tell him again that it was different, that they weren't monsters like him.
With another roll of his eyes Jyo rolled his head over towards her. "Really? Where was she when Trent branded you so that now he can do what ever he wants with you? Where was she was your father was buying your silence about the abuse with hundred dollar unicorns? Why does she have any say in who you date?" Jyo looked at Mari straight and stood up. He dusted himself off. "Mari listen to me. People who can't trust you to look after yourself are only looking after themselves. Think about your Dad... Think about what he did. Don't you think their behavior could be some way related to that?" He looked her in the eyes looking for the slightest bit of agreement in them, the slightest bit that she was right.
"You kidding? You being so sweet and nerdy means that cops wouldn't even suspect you. We need more people that are easy passing." He waved his hand at her. "There'd be nothing dangerous about it... From my end any way... Now you're brother on the other hand..." Jyo closed his eyes, trying to will a vision or a knowledge... Something... Anything... "Well I guess there's only so much I can do... If you need anything, let me know."
Jyo shook his head. It all sounded like to much. Ken had said that there were demons out there... They would try to take advantage of him, but this? This was way too much. Jyo sighed, "Well the only thing I can think to tell you is stay strong, I know what you're going through..." He laughed when she finished, looking sheepishly to the ground. "Ouch, Mari! Ow, that's ma pride you're stepping on cus!" He looked up at her playfully. "You couldn't at least ya know, said 'Spy on my brother and I'll pay you, fifteen thousand dollars," He changed his voice to sound higher pitched and more proper. "So I could be all, 'Sure, cus, that'd be an okay price.' We'd both know what you're doing, but at least I'd have my pride!" He rolled his eyes. "Yea, I'll do it; at least my brother is no were near as bad as that... But ya know, you should stand up to this guy... You can't live in fear of him. If you were choosen by this... Archangle was it? Archangle, then use it to your advantage. Don't stand back and let him stake you to insanity." He wondered if she noticed the smooth glossing over of her offer. He would've, to protect his godson, but he had brother's and sister's on all sides of the magic world conflict. Good and Evil vampires, Good and Evil Werewolves, a magical hunter. He couldn't turn his back on his brothers and sisters.
Mari had to be kidding, Jyo leaned down laughing, clutching his stomach. "Wait, wait, wait," he took a deep breath to calm down. "You mean that you want to create a high tech, magical hit squad to take down evil, but you don't know how to shoot?" Jyo coughed a moment to force himself to stop laughing. "Oooooh that's a good one Mari, but really, what's the stick? Do you have to stick to the bow and arrow or something...? Aren't all you big wigs up there in the exec world all, 'Let me do what I want, and I want my own arsenal and no taxes. But them down there, the little people that work for me, they have to pay it all and, uh... Oh yea, guns in their hands are dangerous, so don't let them have 'em." He looked at her funny. "And don't give me that, Daddy wouldn't let me bull shit either. You're rebellious enough to sell couple thousand dollar unicorns, you're rebellious enough to earn your concealed hand gun license."

The young cupid looked at Jyo wide eyed with distress in her eyes as he spoke, "Jyo, they are vampires but they are my family..." she was feeling very odd about this whole conversation. She rubbed her temple and looked in his eyes looking rather lost. He'd definitely shaken her with his words. Her face going pale.
"Wic Sec? What is that?" she bit her lip and her brown eyes looked huge as she spoke with him. There was no cocky come back as she truely listened to what he was saying. Mari knew that Merry was having difficulty with Connor but not the nature of it. Was it possible that Trent would go around the bend? She just didn't know. She was just trying to get along without bad things happening to her.
"But Trent didn't brand me..." her voice trailed off and her hand went to her neck and touched it subconsciously. She was literally too stunned to speak to him "They've never hit me or hurt me. And Trent's been nice...." She was completely lost now and didn't know what to do. Diana had promised that she would be safe and so had Trent but years of abuse had made her paranoid with good reason. She wanted to feel safe and Jyo was taking what she knew and turning it on its head just when it had started to make sense to her. Add her rabid ex trying to coax her to another state and she was one very confused woman. Were they just being nice to lure her into a sense of complacency? Would they go psycho like every other abusive asshole in her life? Was she just doomed? Her shoulders slumped inch by inch.
"It seems like my life is complex enough right now." she admitted about his black rose offer, "I appreciate the help you can give on what you can pick up, Jyo." she made sure to differentiate what she was accepting. Black Rose was waay too intense for her.
"I did stand up to him. My power washed over him and he stopped trying to strangle me and setting me on fire." Michael hadn't stopped by to heal the bruise marks on her throat so she showed them to Jyo in all their glory letting him see what Samael had done, "I always stand up to him but he's bigger and meaner and all my psychic healing in the world takes time to work. I mean its good for a short burst to get him to back down but too much and I get nose bleeds." She looked into his eyes, "I'm not asking you to turn your back on your family. I just think you'd be good on the team, Jyo. And you're smart and should have the chance to go to school. You need to do something for yourself for once and school isn't that dangerous a thing. Please, just let me help where I can. Let me do this for you."
"I'm too blind to shoot the broadside of a barn, Jyo. I'm loosing my vision bit by bit. Chances are, with the way things are going, I'll be blind in ten years. All those slams into walls has sort of done a number on my retinas. One good wack and I'm completely blind. And given my life...well yeah. So shooting people isn't going to be an issue for me unless I suddenly develop senses like Daredevil. And don't you tell anyone. My own mom doesn't know. I mean I know that Michael and Logan could probably heal a lot of it but leaning on other folks all the time just leads to trouble as you've said." She was now despondent. She'd gone from happy and glad to see him to him slowly chipping her world apart. For all that he was talking about others doing a number on her head he was doing a fairly good job himself.

"You know, Witness Protection?" Jyo looked at her surprised. "Wit Sec, 'Witness Security.' When you flipped on someone who's done something very violent, especially when dealing with organized crime like Gangs and mafia." He smirked at her, "Didn't you ever watch USA on Tuesdays when they had that show on?"
With Each reaction is seemed that Mari became more and more recluse. Jyo shook his head and put his hand on her shoulder. "I'm not saying that you can't have people around, enjoy their company, or even enlist them to assist you in keeping safe. But people that think like me will use innocent people like you any way we can... And depending what part of the underworld they come from, when you start to say no, they start to push you around. What about the fact that you just said Trent did it without telling you what he was doing, and that if he hadn't done it your mom would have?" Jyo tried to gently shake her, "I'm just asking that you keep a closer eye on what you let people do to, not to let him walk all over you because he's been nice. Evil people act nice all the time."
He looked at the marks on her neck and made a sympathetic face. "You mean he didn't give you anything you need to fight this guy? What does he expect you to do? Defeat the guy with batting eyelashes?" He waved his hands. "Not that I'm bashing your gifts... You have more then I got... But what can passive psychic gifts do against that type of dangerous ?" He smiled at her. "Spying on some guy that could kill me for 15 thou a year...? Yea I could do that cus." He smiled. "Should I expect that in 7.5 though say every January and August? Anything else I just couldn't risk... My brother Takeru might end up on your hit list... He's been known to kill unprovoked before. I just can't risk it."
Jyo couldn't help but chuckle. "Well... As far as I can tell, you haven't learned the difference between taking care of yourself and the role of family... If this Micheal character wants you to stop your brother so badly, he'd heal you so you could do it right? That's the way a contract goes..." Jyo held his hands out like he was displaying something. "The guy asks you for something like watching out for something," he moved his left hand up and down; "You get something you need or want in return as well as what you need to get the job done," he moved his right hand up and down. "Right? Even you operate that way."

"Why watch people torture each other? If I wanted to see that sort of thing I could just go with my dad when he's hunting." she said with a shrug of her shoulders as she regarded him quizzically, "TV distances people from the harsh realities of life. The real story is out here, Jyo not some hollywood mogles idea of entertainment."
"I just don't want to keep looking over my shoulder, Jyo. I hate it. I want to be able to trust people." She realized it sounded dumb and nieve to a gangbanger like him but she truely wanted that. Well that and to make sense of her life but she'd start small.
"I heal peoples minds and souls." she said softly with a shrug as she agreed with him on his assessment, "That was why I created the team to help me. I thought it might help me." she admitted as she regarded him and bit her lip, "You're right you're worth more than that. All of the team is too. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was being cheap." she admitted sheepishly as she looked up at him with a flush to her cheeks, "Its been too long since I was out of Riverside. My instincts are shot to hell." she sighed softly. "I get what you're saying, Jyo. I'm cool with what we have so far in the information exchange." she agreed as she looked into his dark eyes and smiled.
"Oh yeah he'd heal me. I can call on him when I need to Its just one doesn't go calling on the Wrath of God unless you have a really good reason to and I'm still assembling my team together. I wanted to do some stuff on my own without leaning on him too much." she admitted with a flush of her cheeks, "I like being independent. Never been one for expecting others to bail me out of things unless there is no choice."
