He opened the door to the shop slowly and stepped inside. To everyone around him, he looked like any other potential shopper in the store. However, he was on a particular mission. He was looking for a book to allow him to track individuals down, but not just any run of the mill spell book to track an average joe. No. Samael was looking for a powerful tracking book, that would allow him to find his father. There were rumors that this simple little shop would have a copy, despite the book in question being nearly six centuries old. Regardless of where it was located, the powers inside of this book had the ability to track down anyone in the world, if one practices the ritual correctly. All Samael needed was a location, an image, or just the slightest little detail as to where his intended target was, and he would be on his way. Afternoon sun shined in through the windows, giving the store some natural lighting, along with the fluorescent lighting that was already inside. Samael looked around idly, as if seeing if the store held other treasures besides the one that he was searching for. Perhaps there was a faster ritual that he could use to assist him in his ultimate goal. He cursed to himself constantly about how he could no longer access the fifth circle of Hell anymore. Lilith, his mother, and now Queen of the Fifth Circle of Hell: Anger, was using her powers to keep Samael from returning. Once he became a full demon, her powers would stand no match for his, and he would be able to return to Hell with little to no effort. Perhaps if all does not go well, he could use his own connections on earth, and pull a few strings to find a way towards his father, but Samael was not expecting a brawl from anyone in the shop. In his mindset, it would have been a dreadful shame for him to spill blood all over the walls. Things were so much more easier when he knew what people wanted, and he could offer it to them. Walking towards the counter, he rang the bell, standing still as he surveyed the area momentarily before turning around to face the counter again, waiting on the owner to show themselves.

Talk about rushed! My god, if there is any kind of time for magic to not be so active it would be now. With a big bad and zombies roaming Los Angeles, magic looked like a nightmare. It definitely wasn't doing much good now, but Lana was happy to help out where she could. At home it was like a lifeless den. With Vanessa busy finding evil and Palmer still off on his run-of-the-mill lead, Lana was left holding the fort with the great brother's trinity. Not like she was complaining, she was trying as good as she could be with Axel possessed and off everywhere, and everyone upset that he is in fact dead, Lana tried to keep busy to facing the truth. And the truth was that maybe Axel won't come back, and maybe they can't stop whoever this chick it. With Jace gone and shaking everyone already, and not to mention the uncontrollable power boost of Everette's, Lana had to take responsibility. So after taking a few days off work, she decided to help around the house and today, help around at Everette's work where apparently; magic was all the rage and customers were everywhere. The Brothers had apparently been to tell, and this is hell in the retail world: when the manager is out of town and the guy running things is in the midst of a break down. So yeah, Lana was happy to do her part. And after finally restocking the mandrake root, she heard the worst bell in the world and came running to the counter.
"Welcome to Charms and whatever, what can I help you with". It wasn't as rude as it sounds, she just sounds very busy and exhausted. That is what happens when the little cousin becomes the family mom. Looking to the guy, who was cute, she gave him her most welcoming smile. But before turning her full attention towards the guy at the counter, she had to do it. Pulling out a pen from her jacket, Lana decided to update her never ending checklist. It had things like restocking mandrake, feeding Sarz, polishing vials, resystemizing the dark magic books and more endless things to get done in an hour. For a fairy, life was shit, and having one more of her would help a lot. But after updating the sheet, she shoved it to the side and turned her full attention on tall, dark and possibly wiccan over here. Usually now days, the cute ones were evil bastard, taken - or evil.

Samael waited casually, but inside he was growing impatient with waiting. He constantly wondered where the clerk was, and if he should kill them for making him wait, but upon seeing exactly how exquisite the clerk looked, he figured that he could give them a benefit of a doubt. As she welcomed him politely, he cracked a soft smile and raised an eyebrow. “Busy day?” He asked with a soft chuckle to the young girl. While never having been on Earth before, he had a small knack for faking human emotions, and interest in things. “I hope you do not mind me asking, you just seem like you have a lot of your shoulders right now. Are you the only person working here today?” He went silent for a moment, having decided to play gullible for a bit to the girl before him.
“I am looking for a book,” he said in somewhat of a direct voice, but with a friendly smile on his face, “it is a one of a kind book, and it is very old. I heard that it might be here.” He then put his hand inside his right side pocket and pulled out a folded piece of white drawing paper. Upon opening it up, he revealed a drawing of the book that he was looking for. A leather bound book, with a large circle of rubies on the front, and four smaller inner circles made of jewels. In the dead center of the circles was a single, large ruby. “It is called Anima Quaerere.” He said to her and put the drawing back in his pocket, and then proceeded to reach into his left pocket to pull out a wallet that was filled with one hundred dollar bills, to indicate that money was not a problem. It was a little convenient that the drug dealer whose neck he broke had this wallet in these clothes when Samael took them from his body.

Okay, she probably came off rude. Or ignorant, or bitchy. Good going Ms Fairy of the year, scaring off customers. After tossing the checkboard to the side, she looked at him. Oh, he was very very nom nom, but she had to focus. In a teenagers life of hunting and containing family drama, manners tend to be drowned out. Or maybe that was just normal teen behaviour, anyway she had obviously given the impression that she was kind of exhausted. With a risen brow and a cute smile, he asked the most obvious of questions. But rude she did not want to be, she let out a breath and smiled at him. "Am I that transparent?". She smirked and then activated the register. She looked at him, and kind of sussed the guy out. No herbs, no books. What did he want then if it wasn't on the shelves? Suss much!
His concern seemed genuine, and she kind of started flirting. He was older, definitely. But what is more sexy and mysterious then an older man? But she shrugged. Ev was with some girl, Jayla or something and kind of relaxing for a bit. His brother died, it was rough. Everyone had broken down and cried, Lana hadn't had her chance. She was trying to take control of everything now, and it was hard. But she was affraid. If she stopped, she would be stuck with her thoughts. And tears were on the edge of falling. "Well yeah, the owner is out of town and my cousin is - preoccupied". She said, trying to chuckle but nearly chocked on how false it was. Distraction needed now, so she went straight to business. "What can I help you with?"
Looking at the picture, she wondered where it could be. If he had looked on the shelves then it was probably hidden in the back with those strange books. She wasn't sure what kind of books they were but anyway. But taking a good look, it looked pretty - and old. Getting it in her chocked-full memory bank, she gave him a grin. "We probably have it. Just come out back with me and we'll take a look". She gave him a smile and quickly moved around the counter and out the back, leaving the door open for him a bit. Looking at the books, they all looked old. But crouching down, she flicked through them. Rufus Impendium? No. Starlight Shadows? No. The Curse? No. Blackest? No - wait. These were all dark magic books. Probably why they were out back, they were restricted. No one ever really purchased them, and slowly and cautiously as she looked through the books she found the book he wanted. But sliding it under the shelf and hiding it, she felt creeped out. But next to the shelf on a crate was a pair of scissors, and acting like she had to use it for support to get up, she grabbed the blades and rose as smiled at him with a faux grin.
"Sorry man, we don't have it. I can leave a message for the owner to check again when he come back. Okay? Bye now". Holding the scissors behind her back in the secluded back room, she looked at him trying not to show her poker face. Oh god, what was this guy? She knew it! She was always attracted to the wrong kind of guy, and this one wanted some book to locate anyone on Earth. But she knew better then to give it to him, even if it isn't what it seemed.

Samael smiled softly to the young girl and crossed his arms as she asked if she was that obvious. Tilting his head ever-so slightly to the side, he looked into her eyes with his own and said softly, “Not really transparent,” he then jokingly looked past both of her sides and then back to her, “I just have a tendency to be highly observant from time to time.” As she explained that the owner was out, and her cousin was preoccupied, he felt somewhat relieved that she was probably the only one here, especially since the only other customers that were there had finally left. Nobody to bother them now. “What a shame that they left you with all of the work. Perhaps a trip to the spa at the end of the day will wash away your problems.” That was if she was compliant enough to give Samael exactly what he wanted.
After she had asked Samael what he wanted, and he had went into explanation as to what it was, she mentioned that it was probably in the back. On the inside, Samael was grinning like a devil, because fate was making this far too easy for him to do. As she went ahead to the back room, Samael waited for a moment before she was out of sight before he twitched his right index finger and middle finger, and telekinetically closed the front door as quietly as possible, then locked it to ensure that their conversation would not be interrupted, if things want awry. One way or another, he would not leave without that book within his possession. It was the one thing that could help him track down Reginald, and ensure that their meeting happened as soon as Samael wanted it too. So far, she seemed bought on his seemingly genuine concern, and further proved that a pretty boy face would get you far on this planet. If only she knew what his other face looked like, and she would know his true colors. However, he did not believe that would be necessary. Not here anyways.
As Samael followed her back, he stood in front of the doorway as she went to search for the book. Samael looked around the back area, taking notice the assortment of books on the shelves, and realizing how dark these books were. If things went well, he would have to return for some of these books, as they would probably hold a wide variety of information. Stepping in fully, he silently closed the door behind them and stepped forward as she was getting up. Once she turned around, he was standing just a few feet away from her as she told him that the book was not in the shop. Samael’s soft face suddenly went to a darker side, and his gaze went stern. She was lying right to his face, and tried to hide it. As a demon that was raised in Hell, Samael knew when a human was lying, as they always did when they first got to Hell. ’I’m not supposed to be here!’, ’I was misjudged!’, ’I’m innocent!’ they would all cry out in agony as they were torn and cut into in ways that the human mind could not comprehend. All of them had their best poker faces on, but they always had the twitch. The human eye could not see it, but a demon can always see the twitch. She was a champ trying to hid the book from him, but it was not good enough to fool him. Not Samael. And liars made Samael angry.
He raised his right hand, and twitched the tip of his index finger, locking the door behind them, so that she would not escape too easily. “Don’t lie to me!” He barked, his eyes now turning a bloodshot red color, “The book is in here, and despite my best intentions to be civil about it, you want to hide it from me!?” All she had to do was give him the book, and nothing would have happened to her. He had no intention of harming her, or even getting as angry as he was, but now that she had called his bluff, he had no other choice but to take the book by force.
Samael saw a glint out of the corner of his eye, and turned his eyes to the left to see her reflection from a nearby sheet of glass that looked as if it might be used in case of a broken window. In it, he could see the faint reflection of the scissors in her hands and then looked back into her eyes. “Now what do you think those are going to accomplish, besides pissing me off?” he asked coldly to her, daring her to try and stab him, “Just give me the book, and we can avoid any unnecessary bloodshed. It would be a shame that I would have to tear that pretty face off of your body.” He truly did not want to hurt her, as she had something he wanted, and she was actually one of the more cuter individuals he had met thus far. If she was smart, then she would comply with his request.

Oh, he was angry now. As soon as she said it with some cheesily grin on her face, trying not to show what a sly bitch she was being, his face went from light to dark within a second. It was intimidating to say the least, and any potential of him making her teen self hot and bothered beyond belief, he disappeared completely. She held the scissors in a tight grip, ready to spring it out when she needed too. Whay was this? Her cousin just died, the others were a mess and now not only does she have to take responsibility for EVERYTHING, she now has to deal with demons. Well, that is at least what she guessed he was when he rose a hand, and the door out of their locked. Locked doors were like rain for Lana, it can only stop you if you let it. She looked from it back to him as his irises turned a bright red, and Lana was forced to step back slightly. "I think - you may have some retinal bleeding. It looks sick, and you should really get that checked out". Sarcasm always got under evil peoples skin not matter what, and made her smirk.
She watched him gaze across into a reflection, and since she could see him in it best chances were he could see her - and the scissors. When he remarked on them, she pulled them out of hidding and figgitted with them in her fingers. "I was planning on stabbing you in the face with them actually, but I guess I could always go play arts and crafts right? You - do not come into my cousins shop and think that you can go pulling out threats. It's not how it works around here, and you definitely do not know who you are messing with". Her made one last threat as she glared at him now, completely pissed and on the defensive. She had fought psycho succubus's, pyrokinetic demons, demonic multi-breeds and super powered jocks, and one out of all of them. How was this any different what so ever. But he pulled the last threat, and Lana firmed her grip on the duel blades. "Please try".
Charging forwards, she was ready. As soon as she was close enough, she did a running trick-double-kick, launching her foot up high to get him up the jaw, it if would. The scissors remained, but it wasn't now the fact that he could do whatever with this book - but that he was evil. And the Evans peops, they really really don't like evil people. And they have good reason too. Landing, she then grit her teeth and stabbed the scissors through the air and aimed for his chest. He may be cute and in many ways, had potential as a supermodel, it didn't make a difference. And even if he did get the upper-hand, it isn't like she would die. Though she hadn't exactly tested her limits just of yet.

Samael took a step forward when she took a step back from him. They always tried to hide their fear with sarcasm, even in Hell. Eventually though, they broke. They all did over time. Their courage, their smartass remarks, their laughing, all of it faded away into screams over time. Sometimes it took mere minutes, and some took years, but they were all scared deep down. This one would be no different. Rather than reply to her witty remark, he remained silent and serious as he approached her slowly with his red eyes growing more menacing. There were wicked thoughts pouring into his mind on what to do with this one. In the end, his darkened face cracked a crooked, disturbing grin. The same grin that sent chills of fear down the spines of the souls of the damned.
"What I am messing with, is a scared little girl trying to put on her game face and deny me what is mine," He retorted soon after her response, "just give me the book, and I will let you live!" His voice was hotter when he demanded the book, and this time he thought about warning her about the precautions of trying to stab him. It would not work out to her advantage, and only succeed in hurting her in the end. The more she pissed him off, the longer he was going to keep her alive if she did not give him the book.
As he foot went flying into the air, she managed to kick Samael in the face, but it was not because of good effort that she managed this, but rather, Samael would simply allow her to demonstrate her powers to him, before he showed her what tricks he could. Once the kick connected to his jaw, Samael's face jerked back, but his body did not stumble backwards. He stood perfectly still and slowly turned his head back to face her, a grin on his face that made him thank the Nine Hells that he was highly durable to damage. As she came forward with the scissors, Samael held his hand out to telekinetically send the sheers flying from her hand and stab directly into the wall beside them. With the same hand, he sent a telekinetic wave her way, that would pin her to the bookcase behind her, if connected. Samael would then proceed to use his left hand's index and middle finger to send another telekinetic wave, only thinner, towards her throat and end this petty fight, if connected.
Samael looked over towards the bookshelf and saw the book. With a smirk on his face, he said, "Soon Reginald, you will die..."

It was like some kind of wacky battle. The little teen, blonde and usually perky and kind of experiencing grief at the moment, but she wasn't scared. Okay, maybe a little scared. But she stood her ground like any chick that kicked ass on a daily basis, how could this guy be different. Being squared in a room was obviously not problem, and it wasn't like she could die. She had tried near everything over the past few days. She slashed her wrists, electrocuted herself, impaled herself through the temple but she still lived, even though it really hurt like hell Or at least she died for a few seconds, but unless this guy was packing some serious ammo; she wasn't worried. But a little scared because hey - maybe he will succeed. He threatened, but she just smirked and moved a piece of hair out of her face. Seriously dude? "Try to kill me! Come on, it'll be fun". She said grinning, before springing into attack.
When the kick landed, she felt kind of hopeful but only his head snapped back a bit. So that way, she kind of wanted him dead; now. Just don't be scared, why should she? But as she stabbed at him, swinging it down at him with a loud yell, she then felt her grip break. The scissors slashed out of her hand and stabbed into the wall. The force threw her off balance slightly as she fell slightly towards him, but fortunately for him he had a plan - unforunately for her it involved pain. He sent a telekinetic blast, and as she stumbled forwards it caught her off guard as he launched her at the wall. Lana screamed as she shot towards the wall, and hit the bookcase. It busted as she hit it, and glue to the wall. But as the wood smashed over her, she hit the wall like she was being held their by five hundred hands. Though glancing down, she felt the long piece of wood sticking out of her leg. Biting down on her lip, she looked at him, breathing heavily. It would heal, but she couldn't get it out, and he was having too much victory. She had to do something, so as he shot his hand at her again she did what she could. Light shot from her as she glistened out of the way, the telekinetic blast hitting the wall. In the void between the physical world, Lana appeared on the ground behind the creep.
"Not so fast!". She yelled as she, lying on her side, kicked her foot across and to sweep out his feet. After the swing, she looked down at her leg, seeing the foot long shard of wood sticking out of her leg, and gripped onto it. She bit down as she ripped the piece of wood out of her leg, light emulating out of the wound as it healed itself but left a big tear in her tights. Every outfit had to be totaled right? But then she looked to the guy, seeing if what she did had actually worked. Never underestimate a tough blonde - never!

She was really beginning to get on his nerves, and that was never a good thing when it came to Samael. She was only signing her own death warrant by standing against him, and would meet the same end as every other creature that had crossed his path in the past week. Samael glared into her eyes, and watched as she stood her ground. For a tiny little thing, she had some courage, and it disgusted Samael as much as it infuriated him. In his eyes, it was pure stupidity, and he wouldn't mind knocking some sense into her skull. Preferably by bashing her skull in on a rock. However, there were no rocks, so he was going to have to improvise. Something that Samael was handy at doing.
Once she was pinned against the wall, he walked towards the book and picked it up, opening it as he did what he could to hold her down, but as he went to telekinetically slit her throat, she disappeared, and for her sake, she vanished far away from him. However, given how stubborn she truly was, Samael was pretty certain that she would not allow this to end so easily for him. When she reappeared behind him, she managed to knock Samael off of his feet, sending him to the ground. Clutching the book tight, he glared at her as she ripped the shard of wood out of her leg. Samael was prepared to telekinetically open the wound further before watching it heal. Glistening? Healing? Another bloody fairy. It was not as if Samael did not know about fairies. Heck, some of them had been banished to the Fifth Sphere before, and they were amusing to torment, simply because their powers worked even in death. Of course, Hell had its perks in allowing demons to make powers of the souls of the damned work at will, here, it was different. Samael glared at her and quickly jumped back to his feet, putting the book in a side pouch that he had brought with him, locking it telekinetically as he glared at the fairy before him.
“You heal quickly,” he remarked darkly, as he focused his hands suddenly caught fire, “let's see if you can heal yourself from becoming a pile of ashes on the ground!” His hands clutched tightly into fists, and charged, going for her neck to pin her against the wall again with one arm, while the other would remain as a fist and go for her face.
“It is not you I am after!” He growled, “I need this book to kill someone far worse than myself.” He then launched a powerful right hook towards her face with the intention to knock her out. In truth, he did not desire to kill her. He was not sure why, but it was just that he had no real need to kill her, when he already had his focus set on killing Reginald. That was all he wanted to do. He could care less for the fairy.

The puddle of blood laid under her leg, but she didn't care. If she could let a splatter of his lay on the ground too then she would be happy. The demon got to his feet, and Lana had similar ideas. Swinging herself back, Lana performed a backwards roll to her feet, her head swinging up as she looked at him. A good fight, wasn't it fun?The last time she fought, well where it was a challenge at least, would have to have been with Shane against the catwoman and hot-head. Apart from that, this was interesting. But pressing. He had the book now, and she had to get it from him. But telekinesis? Enhanced strength? Who knows what else this guy had up his sleeve, and it worried Lana. She was scared now, but she wanted to be strong. So when he threatened her again, she gritted her teeth and went to swing a punch at him, but he charged her like a bull. His hand caught her neck as she gasped, and a folded fist turned into her gripping onto his arm as he charged her backwards a bit, Lana hissing through her teeth.
Way to give a way a plan! She breathed heavily, looking angrily into his eyes as he said it. What could be worse then him? "Tell it to someone - who gives a shit". She grunted, and was about to send a kick into the demons ribs but then a hard punch smashed across her face. She grunted as her head was swung to the side, her head hitting the wall. It was just hit and fall from that point on as Lana collapsed to the floor falling, and laid motionless, or at least for a second. This guy was strong, probably too strong. She was just a fairy - not a superhero. She was an Evans - not a hunter. Probably far from it, but hey, she did keep finding herself in these situations constantly. Blood came from her mouth but it healed quick, but she still felt kind of dizzy. She wasn't going to let this creepy son of a bitch get away though.
Getting onto her hands, she spat the blood onto the floor as she looked up to him. This was it, no more ms nice bitch. It was time for the Evans to come out now, and it was. With blood through her teeth, she smiled. "That the best you got?". On her hands, she then flicked herself up. She rose her lower torse and flipped it up over her, performing a bull-kicking cartwheel not only to her feet but to kick him. Her feet shot up high, aimed at chest height in one smooth motion. With her lower strength, she bullkicked as hard as she could at him to hit him. If not just to have some effect, or maybe to prove something to him. Or to herself - to show that she isn't weak and can handle this. If it was true or not was to be determined, but for now this is what she had.

Women. Whether they're in Hell, or on Earth, they were the most stubborn creatures. It was merciful, even for Samael to just simply tell her why he needed the book. A part of what he said was true. Reginald was said to be worse than Samael, but only worse at making mistakes. He should have known that he had another son, and he should have made sure to kill him. But when it came to cruelty and malice, Samael would by far succeed the father. However, this little pixie was going to be incredibly stubborn and not let Samael get away with the book. What a shame. “When I have peeled the meat from your bones, and your still beating heart is in my hand, you are going to wish you just gave me the book!” The fire covering his fists grew brighter and extended higher past the sleeves of his shirt and onto his forearms. This one was incredibly stubborn, because even after he slammed his fiery fist against her face, landing her on the floor, she still decided to get up. Either he was going to have to incinerate her then and there, or decapitate her, or render her unconscious and kill her later. As she laid on the floor, seemingly unconscious though, he grinned at her pain. “Stubborn little girl,” he said hotly, “if every creature around her is like you, then I am going to have a lot of fun killing them all.” As he began walking away, he began to sigh softly, relieved that it was so easy to take down such a common fairy. However, he stopped when he heard the sound of her getting back up, and his irritation peaked. Turning his head around to look at her, his eyes flared as she asked if that was all that he could muster. It was not that those words got to him, but rather the fact that she was clearly defeated, and still stupid enough to not know her place. Samael turned completely then, only to greet her foot as it connected with his chest, an sent him flying into a nearby metal piece of a bookshelf, designed to hold the wooden portion of the shelf. It pierced his shoulder slightly and while it hardly did much damage, the blood and slight pain was enough to truly infuriate Samael. If she wanted all he could muster, then she asked for it. Then, Samael telekinetically pulled out the metal spike and soon his body erupted in flames at the sound of a mighty roar that came from him. Soon, his roar became distorted and suddenly inhuman as his body began to take on a more terrifying form. Soon, Samael's body began to take on bulk, and while the fire consumed his entire being from being seen, the outline was by far apparent as horns and taloned hands took shape. When the flames finally died down, the demon, the true demon within Samael stood in his place. The monster roared, sending a telekinetic wave towards a nearby window, and shattering it into grains of shards. “I am going to enjoy torturing you, and making you watch as I kill everyone and everything remotely close to you.” the Demonic Samael threatened, walking closer towards her, his claws scraping against a wall, digging into it like a red hot knife to butter. He raised his hand again and sent a stream of fire from his hand, much like a blowtorch to her face.

After landing the horizontal stomp, she felt good. She felt liberated, and smiled as she lowered her feet to the ground. Accomplishment and a half, at least she hit him. As she landed her feet to the ground, she pushed herself up, flicking her hair up out of her face. She wasn't scared of him now, and he seemed to have backed into a sharp piece of metal. She smirked at him, stepping back as she searched for a weapon. Something to help her fight, and saw a long piece of wood on the floor, and reached to pick it up. It was something at least, and holding it tight with both hands she walked towards him, ready to swing. But he wasn't finished, and not for a long shot. He shot the piece of metal out of his back, first of all. She was a bit worried, but then he roared. It wasn't the masculine yell or anything like that, it was demonic. It made her step back, startled at what was to come.
Fire covered his body, flames dripped over him as she stood their. Heat waves hit her face as he enveloped himself in fire and turned. It wasn't just red eyes anymore, but horns and flames appeared over him and he evolved into something - hellish. She gasped as she stepped back again, and he was ready to end this. She couldn't die, but she was still affraid. His sharp claws dragged across the wall as he threatened her. A tear actually appeared in her eye, as she shook. Her family? Really? No one touches her family. She just was shaking so hard she couldn't tell him that. Then, as the demon rose its hand, a burst of fire came from his palm. It rocketted at Lana as it hit her, the energy smashing her through the air. Next thing she knew, she smashed on the doors to the basement, and collapsed to the ground. For a second, she couldn't see. Her eyes had been burnt out of their sockets, and the front of her body was black in burnt disgusting skin. But as pink light shot from her, blinding the room in purity she healed herself, and went from seeing black to white. She sighed, resting her head down as her jacket fell off of her and her dress was a mess. She looked at him, but she had a plan.
"I enjoy fun facts. You want to know one?". After having hit the basement doors, flames licked the wood as she glanced from it to the guy. If only he could read minds, but she had a plan. If he wanted to mess with fire - and mess with her, he had another thing coming. Something he would not expect. "Somethings just hate fire. Sarz, Now!". Lana shot her hand through the flames and grabbed the handle of the cellar-like basement way, and ripped the doors open. The loud scream of a scared and angry mermaid occurred as the creature slithered its long snake like body out and upon seeing the guy, screamed as she put her aquakinetic abilities to good use, and sent a blast of water at the guy. Lana laid at the side on her knees, looking up at the scene as a long and powerful bolt of water shot from the mermaid and at the guy. She smiled slightly as she watched it happen.

The lone tear in her eye seemed to finally make her realize exactly what she was dealing with. This girl had spunk, but she probably only ever fought against petty threats, such as the vampires and werewolves of this world, and maybe even an insignificant lower demon, but none of these described Samael. He was a half-breed demon, but he was more than powerful enough to kill his stepfather, Nergal, who was a very powerful Lord of Hell. He was not some common demon, but one who would soon reclaim what was rightfully his, and crush anyone who stood in his way. Starting with this annoying little fairy. Samael's now-razor sharp teeth glistened with an inhuman illumination. Like a monster that was hiding in the dark, and all that could be seen were the fangs and eyes, except she could see the demon. It looked like the embodiment of everyone's worst nightmares. As if they were finally looking at the creature hiding in their closets as children, or under the bed. And it wanted to drag her to Hell while she screamed until blood from ripped vocal cords gagged her sounds.
Samael made sure that the heat was especially intense. Due to his Dragon Demon heritage, he had the power to create only the most intense of hellfire while in his demon form. As she fell to the floor, burnt to a crisp, Samael turned and telekinetically summoned the book back to his hand. He had to drop it when he transformed, in order to keep it from burning up. Now that the little fairy was incapacitated momentarily, he had a chance to send the book elsewhere. Holding up the book, the red demon telekinetically launched it out of a nearby window.
The demon had become accustomed to the predictability of this little girl. As she stood up again, the monster grinned its menacing grin, and ignited both of its hands on fire once more. This time, he would burn her until not even the ashes remained. If she could survive that, then Samael would simply have a very fun pet that he could kick around on a daily basis. When she got cocky again and began spouting out useless information about things that did not like fire, the demonic monster only growled and intensified the flames that engulfed its arms. But then the fairy did something unexpected. Suddenly, something screamed and Samael watched as some kind of snake-like creature with the upper torso of a female came slithering out from the basement. The demon looked at it and tilted his head to the side.
“What the fu-” was all it could utter before being put on guard for the torrent of water heading his way, which then sent the demon crashing through the door to the front of the shop. The monster growled, suddenly gaining the attention of the bystanders outside, who jumped suddenly when hearing Samael's angry roar. Getting up, he walked back through, arms still on fire and growing brighter with how angry Samael was. The mermaid's stream of water was still flowing, but now it was coming back towards him. If Samael was going to end this, he had to do it now. If he knew anything about water, he knew that even water was combustible if one simply cranked up the heat. The hotter the fire, the more of a chance of being able to separate the molecular structure of water into its two basic atoms, hydrogen and oxygen, two very combustible atoms. Samael did not know this was how it happened, but he did discover this trick in Hell, when an aquakinetic soul was sent to the Fifth Sphere. The end result was...mildly explosive to say the least.
As the mermaid targeted the demon again, Samael raised his hands around the same time that the mermaid did, and directed the flame directly into the stream. Suddenly, water and fire both extinguished, and a bright explosion rocked the room. Samael was gone by then, transforming back into his human form in the midst of the chaos, and slipping out of the back. An unfortunate necessity, as while he would not die from his shoulder would, his demon form kept it from bleeding so much. He looked around for the book, finally finding it on a pile of trash, and taking off down the street. His wound would be healed within an hour's time, and that was all the time he needed to perform the ritual.
He stopped as he was halfway down the third block, and looked back to where the little shop was. He grinned as he thought that it would be only right if he sent the shop money later, along with a note for the fairy, promising to see her soon.

And she got him. Lana nearly wanted to scream in happiness as she looked at him fly back. She rose, looking as Sarz sent the concentrated water beam at him. Standing by the door, she looked over at Sarz. Luckily Ev was a weird piece of business, because his pet just saved her. Sarz smiled to her slightly, and gave her a wink with crystal-like eyes. Lana didn't know if to smile because it was weird, but just looked from Sarz and tried to see if anyone was out their. The store was still open, and the scream of a woman showed her that yeah - the shop wasn't empty. What if he hurt them? Lana should glisten out their and see if everyone was okay - but she was stuck. Stuck by fear, the fear that even though she is invulnerable she can still be hurt; mentally none the least. But as she finally moved forwards she went to sweep past the beam but something happened. It scared her, a gasp escaping her mouth as she looked at the beam. He had a plan, and a good one because as the fire hit the water, it didn't loose. It won, and Lana had only seconds to react.
As the fire hit the water, it boomed a bright light. Lana was no chem genious, but she knew it wasn't good. So she jumped towards Sarz. If not the tackle her back down to the cellar, to scare her into getting back. As a boom sounded behind Lana, she had scared Sarz as the creature slightered back down, and Lana was hit by the blast. The whole back of Charms N' Thangs exploded. The roof blew off with flames and pressure as blistering steam swept over Lana. It burnt her everywhere, but she was safe. It burnt over her and shot her at the wall in the process. Lana felt her side connect with the wall, smashing into it as she fell to the ground. She laid damp and covered in burns on the ground as everything blew up around her. The walls cracked, books blew apart and she felt like the world was ending as it combusted. Light radiated from her as she healed herself through the bust, light laquering her skin with new. She shook it off slightly, but the demon had gotten away. And with the book. So now; a demon was out their will spells to find anymore, the store was destroyed again and Lana was still shaking. Not out of the cold or the power; but the fear. She hadn't felt so scared in a while, it was kind of eerie. But she needed to be scared, especially if he comes back. Sarz pocked her head out and mouned a harmonic sound at her, but she looked to her breathless. "Good one fish". And with that, she realized that she definitely needed to tell her cousins about this - and that their is definitely a new threat in town.
