Full moon. It was said that these were a powerful force in this world, and that it gave way to horrifying transformations of those who were marked by wolves. They also gave way to the most powerful of rituals in times past. And if you were looking for someone by means of magic, then the full moon would be the best time to find them. With a branch of Tannis Root, dipped in the blood of five newly hatched snakes, and ground up brimstone, the ingredients were dipped in a flammable substance known simply as Dark Water, the items were to be placed in a cauldron under a full moon and lit. By inhaling the fumes brought on by the substances, the inhaler could find anyone that they wanted. Samael collected all ingredients as soon as he had the book that could tell him how to find Reginald in his hand.
It had been not that long ago, that he discovered the truth about his parentage. In a bid for immortality, and demonhood, Samael's true father, an insignificant man by the name of Reginald, had sex with the demon Queen of the Fifth Sphere of Hell, Lilith. By doing so, she bore a child. Reginald's 13th child, Samael. After slaying his own stepfather, Nergal, Samael was to succeed the throne of the Fifth Sphere, but rather than succeed, he was cast out of Hell by his own mother, who manipulated him for her own, personal gain to control the Fifth Sphere completely. Samael was exiled to Earth over a week ago, and has since vowed vengeance against both of his parents. His mother for her betrayal, and Reginald for ever believing that he could become anything more than an insignificant incubus.
The moon shined its illuminating gaze down upon Samael, as the moon gave him the sign to start the ritual, he snapped his fingers, and the concoction within the cauldron was set ablaze. Samael stood over the cauldron, breathing in the noxious fumes that came from the cauldron. Soon, it felt like his body was hovering, and while he could see what was going on, he could not move, nor react. As such, Samael felt confident that the concoction was now working. Soon, he felt himself appearing in random places throughout the city. Bars, classy restaurants, parks, social clubs. Places that his father probably liked to hunt. And then, he saw him, and he was not far away either. Samael suddenly found himself back in his own body, and smirked as he knew exactly where to hunt. Daddy was hungry tonight.
Once the vision ended, he immediately began his pursuit to where Reginald would be. As he turned the corner, he stood in the shadows, laying eyes upon the man who helped give him life for the first time. As he did, he saw the hot, young little blonde that was in his arms. He was probably going to bring her here to feed off of her and go. Samael's fist tightened as he watched the man enter an abandoned apartment complex with the girl, who looked really uneasy about being there. Once they were inside, Samael slowly followed, sticking directly to the shadows and remaining ever-so silent the whole time. As they entered a single apartment room, he followed. He was not about to ruin this moment. Not when he was so close to becoming something far beyond comprehension. All he had to do was kill him, and Samael would be able to become a full blooded demon, with his powers far more powerful than before.
He wanted him distracted, completely fixed on the girl before he took his time here. Samael stepped into the room, his body hidden within the darkness of the room, moonlight shining in through an open window. As Reginald held the girl against the wall, ready to feed, Samael stepped into the light of the moon, raising his right hand and right index finger. With the flick of the wrist, he telekinetically snapped the girl's neck, literally sending it a complete 180 degrees. With a simple flick of the wrist, Samael killed her. If that did not get Reginald's attention, then he did not know what would.
“So, you're Reginald?” Samael asked with a disturbingly sadistic side grin, “I always thought you would be taller.”

Timing. Life was about timing. From what suit to wear, to when to make an entrance, and when to have a great meal, people had been working on timing for centuries. Reginald himself lived off this rule and he expected others too as well. Even his daughter had been born on a night of power although she had not realized it and he had never spoke of it. With this in mind he'd brought the blond here, it turned out she had a thing for places that were secluded even as she was hesitant about the nature of their meeting. Still, she was getting ready to kiss him and bring what they had been doing to the next level and he was enjoying himself greatly. When his meal was cut short by such a thing as a broken neck. Damn, now he would have to go find a meal.
Straightening he let the body drop and turned to face the man that had made his dinner less than appealing, "Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but last time I checked it was rude to bust in on someone having dinner." he quipped back and then studied the pale specimen of manhood, "And who might you be young man? A jealous lover? One of my daughters myriad of fan boys that follows her around like a love struck puppy waiting for one glance?" He dusted off his coat and stretched out lazily to his full height, "And don't you know its not the size that counts, but how well you use it?" he asked him.
The smell of the dead girl's perfume hung in the air as well as the smell of dirt and construction dust. The moonlight shown just how filthy the place was and in the shadows bugs vied for food scraps of plywood, and other things best left to the imagination as shattered boards littered the room. The drywall was crumbling to powder as he stood there with a board look and his senses on high alert to learn who this was. They weren't here for coffee that was for damn sure. Then he heard the familiar crunch of gravel that announced his daughter. Pivoting his body he took a protective stance, "Marina, child. Go home." he said calmly as he watched Samael's reaction to the interruption. Her pheromones might protect her, assuming the young man felt benevolant but Trixie's broken neck shown that he could be brutal. "Is he one of yours, darling? I know you tend to garner the wrong sort of attention."

She'd been having nightmares ever since she'd met Michael and he'd given her his mark. She'd been trying to figure it out and make sense of it. The angel was giving her visions but it wasn't helping her to know where the disastrous events might take place. She'd been scouring magazines and books with every spare moment and had been checking area codes and google maps trying to triangulate the place where the showdown was to happen. It wasn't working. She wasn't a witch to cast spells she was just a psychic turned cupid whose abilities were very confusing. It was this confusion that woke her from her dead sleep, drenched in sweat and gasping. Throwing her covers off she dressed hurriedly as she could. She didn't have anything to fight a demon with. Just what she normally wore. Putting her shoes on she surveyed herself in the mirror, blue jeans and a pink shirt with matching shoes and a bow for her braid completed the not so ass kicking outfit as she sighed and made her way to a map and did something unconventional. She took her chaplet of St. Michael and held it over a Los Angeles. Sancte Michael Archangele, defende nos in proelio; contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium. Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae Caelestis, satanam aliosque spiritus malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, divina virtute in infernum detrude. Amen. [/i] ' Show me, please. I don't know how else to find him.' she prayed as she looked at the map. She felt the chaplet move towards a point and then looked up the address online. That gave her the info she needed to do what she could. Arming herself with her chaplet, crucifix and cross she added some holy water just to be safe. She really didn't know how she was going to deal with this situation but she would. Contacting her back up chauffer she was soon speeding along the back alleys to where she felt the showdown was to take place. Stepping out of the car she ran towards the abandoned building. There was no point to acting stealthy it wouldn't do any good whatsoever. Her awkward shuffle announced her and she came upon her father and a dark haired man standing off, when her father asked if the strange man was one of her admirers sh e shook her head, "No, he's not one of mine. I've never seen him before." she admitted as she looked back at Samael and tried to get a better view of his features. She pushed her glasses up on her nose and approached the two men. "Daddy, what's going on?" she asked softly as she made her way to him and tried to not antagonize the strange man. Her hands were in a peaceful gesture and she edged her way to her father. She was scared so it wasn't like she had to pretend after all there was a dead woman with her head snapped around. She felt her gorge rise a bit and looked away as her dad grabbed her protectively and swung her behind him. She yelped with the suddeness of it but she felt her father's mind voice like a vice as she squirmed mentally and whimpered out loud. "Daddy....you're hurting me." she whispered. He tried pulling power from her and she gasped in pain. He wasn't draining her life force so much as pulling her natural talent to evoke love and using that power to call up an energy ball and keep it at the ready. She felt her knees buckle and she slid to the ground as the world spun for a bit. Her father was ordering her up and had wrapped his hands around her braid to haul her to her feet. Standing she tried to get him to ease off as her scalp ached and tears sprang to her eyes. So far this was not working as she planned.

Struggling in her father's grasp Mari felt her lungs seizing up as he pulled from her personal power store. It burned and she closed her eyes and gritted her teeth to keep from showing such to either demon. "Daddy we need to go. Its not safe here." she tried to get out then gasped as he jerked more power from her. She felt nauseated and spat to keep from throwing up on her father. Her skin taking on a death like pallor from the pain she was going through. Having her power siphoned like this wouldn't kill her but it burned like liquid fire was being poured into her channels.
Feeling herself tossed to the side Mari did her best to catch herself. Her father was launching himself at Samael and she did the only thing she could think of. She got out of the way and then when she had maneuvered around behind her brother she launched herself at his legs, intending to trip him and take him down. "You can't do this its wrong! He's our father. He didn't do anything to you!" she panted and tried to hold onto the more powerful demon. "Please don't hurt him." she said to Samael as she tried to make him see reason. The fact that Samael might hurt her was secondary in her mind. She was going to protect her father from this man however she could. "We don't even know who you are!" she called to him. Indeed Sam had not announced himself as anything than Reginald's son.
She looked up at Sam and tilted her head as she tried to figure out why he'd want to kill her father so badly. None of her moves were meant to hurt him only stop and subdue. She wasn't going to hurt a sibling if she could help it. As her father moved in to weaken Samael she ducked her head to protect it. "Please just stop fighting. Go, Daddy!" she said as she waved a hand in the direction outside the building. She pushed her glasses up on her nose and tried to avoid any blows if they came her way.

"Cocky aren't you?" Reginald said with an eyebrow raise as he picked his spot to stand carefully, choosing not to let the younger demon get the upper hand, his eyes narrowed as he looked at the young man's features. The thought of who he might be teased the edge of his mind.
"Lilith always was one to keep secrets." he mused out loud as Samael revealed his heritage, "Though why you hate me when I've done nothing to you is a puzzlement." he scanned the area around him. He lacked telekinesis. His powers relied on seduction and mental ability this would prove difficult. But then his little pet energy source arrived. Since becoming a cupid she had greater potential than she realized.
Grabbing Marina to him he quickly subdued her by her hair and started to pull from her power source, love. It burned and he hissed in pain but if he could manage it he could get enough power to launch at the young man. She sagged against him and he hauled her up, "Its nothing personal, darling. Daddy just needs a little power." he said as he locked eyes on Samael.
Tossing Mari to the side Reginald launched himself at Samael and tried to strike at his throat, using his life force siphoning to try and weaken his son even as the wood hit him and wounded him. "You will not get the chance to do that." he said as he tried to grasp Samael's energy before it could form into something that could hurt him. "Besides, she's mine. Get your own torture toy, boy." he aimed a punch to the jaw of his son and braced himself.

Samael smirked as Reginald asked why he wanted to kill his own father. Softly, Samael shrugged as he chuckled lightly and said, “Oh, it's nothing personal, it's just, when I killed the man who I thought was my real father, mother exiled me from Hell. You see, by killing you, I will become a full demon, and I will be far more powerful than anything Lilith has to throw at me, including herself. So, don't think I am doing this out of hatred, or spite...” Samael's chuckle turned to a grin, “even though I am going to get a little satisfaction out of this.”
As he watched Reginald drain the power from his own daughter, Samael was already forming his own pyrokinetic abilities into his hand, and prepared for what happened next. As Mari went deathly pale, he looked up at Reginald with a mix of surprise and amusement on his face. As Reginald went to grab Samael by the throat, he looked at his father with an irritated look on his face, wondering if the old man even thought that was going to be effective before feeling the siphoning effects of Reginald's power. Suddenly, Mari was behind him and locked to his legs. A minor irritability, but not distracting at all.
Samael's face became contorted as Reginald began to try and drain power from his son. Slowly, but surly, he felt the effects his father was putting against him, but as Samael looked as if he was about to collapse to the floor, laughter filled the room. A low, sadistic sound of laughter. Samael looked up at Reginald and grabbed his father's hand that was around his throat with his right hand, and grabbing his father's fist with his left. “Do you really think you can stop me, Old Man?” Samael asked as he focused the energy that was going from his body and into Reginald, and began to backflow the energy the opposite way, like putting the opposite jumper cables on the wrong parts of a car battery. Samael watched his father hit the boarded up window, and then looked to Mari before slightly pushing her off of his legs with his telekinesis. “If a name is all you want before I kill you both, then know that I am Samael.” He said grinning as he watched Reginald slowly get back up. Samael charged, preparing to tackle Reginald out of the boarded window, and hopefully make him fall to his death.

"All talk and no action." Reginald clucked his tongue at the demonic spawn of his, "Just like your brothers in that regard. There is a very good reason only your sister remains." he smirked as he pulled the power he needed to deal with the problem.
Reginald pulled as much power as he could from Samael. His focus on weakening the other demon enough to make him yield so he could be vanquished noticing his daughter clinging to Samael's leg he shook his head, "Darling, that isn't how you deal with the enemy. Watch and learn." He'd have to bring her home with him when this was all done. Perhaps reward her for her loyalty, such as it was. A smile played against his features as he looked at Samael.
Reginald struggled with the younger adversary and felt his channels backflowing. With a shriek his demonic visage manifested and he jerked away as best he could. Trying to slow his speed before he rolled and moved to get out of the way when the other demon landed. "Sorry, son. Today is not a good day for me. Why don't you try half past never, boy?" Reginald snapped. He eyed the other and opting for discretion being the better part of valor he tried to get out of there first. Struggling a few moments before bolting.

Mari felt herself removed like a bug from a windshield and she blanched as the demon gave his name. This was the being that Michael had warned her about. He seemed as if he was a bit distracted from being as evil as he might be. He was playing with her father more than actually trying to hurt him still she rose to charge after him if he didn't go out the window. Her face showing determination as she walked towards the window. She was not going to be an easy target and he would learn this soon enough. Right now she had to keep her father safe and felt his mind voice as he apologized for stranding her. She snorted and began to make her way outside as she saw her father heading out and Sam on the ground.

Samael hit the ground with a loud thud. As he opened his eyes, he noticed a metal rod was now impaled through the center of his torso. If he was fully human, this probably would have killed him. But he was a demon and he had a durability powerful enough to prevent him from harming him. One of the perks behind this meant that he bled very little when impaled, so bleeding out was not a problem. But it still hurt like hell! Samael's eyes turned red then as he looked up to find Reginald was now long gone. Samael pointed his right index finger and middle finger at the metal rod that was protruding through his torso, and with a little focus, managed to telekinetically cut the rod from his torso and then force the rest of it out. Fury filled his heart that he had missed the chance to finish his father off. He had been too impatient, and now the little pipsqueak of an incubus would be making sure that he would hide himself from Samael now. “NO!!” Samael roared in defeat as fire covered his body, transforming him into his demonic form. Once transformed, his temper soared, first by sending a fireball into a dumpster, and then telekinetically throwing it into the run down apartment. “YOU CAN RUN REGINALD, BUT I WILL FIND YOU!!” Samael roared into the night, “I WILL KILL YOU!!”

As Reginald disappeared into the darkness Mari watched as Samael transformed himself. Who knew the color red ran in families but there it was in all its wonderful bad assedness. She'd be terrified if he looked at her but she was too busy tip toeing out of the vacinity of the rather pissed off vengeance demon. She hoped he ignored the crunch of gravel as he levelled the abandoned apartment building. At this rate he was going to clean up this area one building at a time.
She made her way closer to her limo and cautiously approached then bolted for the door opened it and threw herself in. Locking it behind her she screamed "Hit it!" and the limo sped off silently to the night. Pushing the button to obscure the partition she murmured softly, "Michael you are so not gonna believe this."
