Was that metal? Oh god, what was wrong with his head. It felt fucking numb, like he had been hit in the head really really hard. Or something - he didn't remember. All he knew is that his tongue was just out of his head just enough to get a taste of rusted metal, and the bitterness and tangy taste of dirty metal. Was he home? His home wasn't exactly perfect but it wasn't really rusted - or metal. But as he opened his eyes, he could see something. While laying on a metal mesh floor, he saw through the mesh a river of red. Was it blood? Blood - holy fuck what was going on? Feeling dizzy, he didn't care. He was now freaking out a bit as he stood up, looking around. It looked like he was in an abandoned water tower or some shit like that, but in front of him a black curtain was drawn and their was no exit or escape. What was this?
Eli stood on the mesh shirtless and wearing only back pants and his rabans. That's all, but looking to his arms he saw circular bandades on his arms, stomach and legs. Pulling them off, he saw little red marks. He wasn't healing though, he needed food. But first, he had to find out what the fuck was going on right now, and where he was. His dizzy head annoyed him but as he tried to listen, it felt like his head was ringing. But all he could distinctly hear is running. Running water? No, running blood. He could smell it easily and it was coming from behind the curtain. What the hell was this shit? But slowly, he drew the curtain back and saw it. Litres of blood falling in a thick blood wall down like a waterfall, and a tape recorder hanging from a string in front of his face. Even though he was sweating, he felt a shiver up his spine and took the recorder. He was kind of hesitant, but then he pressed play. The voice shook his soul.
[/i][/b] [/ul] After hearing that, he nearly dropped the recorder but kept grip. He had to keep a grip on this situation. He had to save someone, but how could he know what was going on. It was supposedly a wall of blood, and it couldn't be too bad. But as he looked to the side, arching over to look past the path he realized that it was at least eight feet long and wasn't a wall, but several of them. He bit his lip, and felt like he was going to pass out. He was so scared, the blood dripping in a crimson stream. But he tried to look past and see who the person was that he was going to save. And the man on the tape was right! It was someone he cared about. Someone he hasn't nurtured as he should. Someone that he needed to save. He saw Mari, chained to the mesh floor and in an instant, he could see the walls just inch a little bit closer. Eli's eyes went wide and he knew one thing: he had to play the game..[/blockquote]

Her head hurt. She couldn't even remember how she had gotten here. Her life had been twisting and turning and now this. Who the hell had grabbed her? One of her fathers associates? One of Trent's enemies? Diana? She went through the list in order to keep from freaking out. She was claustrophobic and had a phobia of being chained down. She tried to calm herself as best she could but she was starting to shake when she noticed the walls were moving. She tried to wiggle and hope that she could find a way out of captivity on her own. She saw Eli and her head ducked down. She was doomed. Eli had said that he needed a break from her, from their friendship. It had hurt her deeply and she'd given him the space she could. Not that it had been hard. She'd had her parents call it quits been scratched by a werewolf trying to protect a friend. She'd met with Trent and he'd done something to her neck but she couldn't remember fully what it was. She knew he hadn't seduced her but her mind was too clouded to fully remember what happened. There was just too much emotion over loading her system for a complete recall. Then Trenton had helped make sure she wasn't a werewolf and she'd helped her friend Mike with antibodies for the virus. She hoped he would be alright. She wouldn't know for another month at least. Maybe not at all after this. She'd then had her mother announce that she was going to be co-Elder with Trenton. He'd admitted he loved Mari and she still was reeling from that. And now this. Now she was captured and drugged by some psychopath with an ax to grind against Eli?? She expected anyone else but Eli. This had happened because of him??? She sobbed and shook she was so upset she couldn't even look at him. Then she felt rumbling and she knew the room was closing in. She closed her eyes she couldn't make him choose to hurt himself to save her. It would be selfish. "Eli, you don't have to do this. I'm sorry I never meant for you not to trust me..." her voice cracked and she took a deep breath. She didn't want to die but she had to take precautions. She began praying softly. Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. [/i]

The stream didn't stop. He wished it would, but it was definitely thicker then he thought. He had to do it, even though this was completely fucked up. He saw Merry, defenseless and tied. If he didn't do this, she would die. He looked over the railing around the stream but a river of blood filled bellow. Fuck! He grunted loudly as he looked at the blood again, wiping the dirt under his nose. It was either facing his fear or letting Mari die, and he didn't want either. Call him selfish, but it wasn't a hard decision right now. He either got hurt or let her die. He had felt blood stains, and they burnt. This was a whole different story. It fell and fell, and he moved closer to try and see what it was like. Slowly, he inched forwards slightly as his hand touched the blood. It burnt like hell, and he pulled his hand back. It was like touching dire, and his hand was burnt horribly. He hissed in pain, holding his hand as he stepped back. "SHIT!". Looking at the waterfall of blood, he had to suck it up.
Looking over, he saw the walls getting closer to her. He didn't have much time, so standing in front of the stream a few feet away, he got ready. This was so fucked up, and it was going to hurt like hell. But that's love for ya. So getting ready, a tear welled in his eye in fear as he got ready. It was ready set go mentality, so taking a breath, he heard what Mari had to say. "Mari..". Charging, he entered the stream. It split his skin instantly, and he kept moving as fast as he could. Charging through, he felt it burn all over his skin like acid. He screamed in pain, but kept going. He felt it run over his back, arms and face and scar him. He got maybe near halfway through when it happened. The blood made the mesh slippery, and he slipped. Flipping, he smashed down onto the metal on his back. Blood entered his mouth and over his face as he screamed in pain on the ground. With weak and burnt skin, the mesh dug in on impact and ripped his back up a bit as he laid their and screamed for help.
Getting up, he felt dazed. He was still burning, and the scream was never ending as he got to his feet. He still had half a way to go, and blood ran over his wounds and stung them more. But he had to keep going. Darting across the mesh, he felt his feet bleeding underneath and charged out of the streams. It was so painful that he could barely speak, and pounced out and landed next to Mari. He looked at her, screaming with his eyes wide open as he looked up at her. ........the key to their salvation is in your possession.... But where? Pockets! With blistering fingers, he reached into his soaking pants and screamed as he reached for the key, and pulled it out. He could barely grip on it right now, and slamming it down next to Mari he lowered his head, feeling the wall on his back as it closed in closer. He couldn't move right now, so Mari had to save herself with the key. He moaned in pain, and he needed to get her out of there. Whoever this was, Eli wanted them dead!

Mari felt his pain as he ran that blood gauntlet from hell and did a waterpark slide to her. She convulsed on the floor as she felt the blood burn him and she gasped softly. Her breath came in ragged gasps of horror, "Eli, Oh god, Eli!!" she panted and squirmed as he stared at her with horror filled eyes. Scrambling she tried to grab the key. Her hands were wet with slippery sweat and she felt it skitter about.
She exhaled, "Steady....steady...." she stretched her fingers and with sheer grit she flexed her fingers towards the key. She clutched it in her hand and groaned, "Eli. I need you to do something for me. Hold absolutely still and don't react to what you see or hear me do. Is that clear?" she said calmly. This was going to suck but it would be better than dying. She exhaled and closed her eyes as she psyched herself up for what she was about to do. It would hurt like hell but she could fix it later.
Taking her right hand, her non dominant hand, she made it as small and thin as she could. She closed her eyes and exhaled. "Okay its now or never." she said as she closed her eyes and pulled her hand through the manacle, the snapping of bones was heard and she hissed in pain. She was destroying her hand and it hurt like a bitch but inch by bone shattering inch she pulled her hand free of the manacle. Sobbing raggedly she panted as sweat poured down her face. After a moment she flexed her hand with a loud CRACK as she felt some of the bones snap back into place, "God!" she shuddered as she forced herself to continue resetting it then grabbed the key clumsily.
Shuddering she managed to get the key in the lock of her left hand after about 4 tries and turned it with the broken limb as she screamed in agony. Gasping and shaking she freed her left hand as she saw the walls closing in on her. "Oh God, Eli talk to me please let me know you're still mentally all there." she said as she unlocked her legs and then sat up. Carefully she tried to help him up. If she failed in that she would do her best to drag him out of the hell hole trying for the door as she shoved him through, if possible, the door if she can. She felt her hand throb but she used it anyway to get Eli out of there, "Don't you dare die on me? You hear me, Eli???" she gasped and groaned. "Come on honey focus. Tell me something. Anything babe." She shivered and the sweat dripped from her form in sheets, "I wanna know who this bitch is Eli. You got me? You get this bastard and you hurt him. He's sick and needs to be put down. I don't care why he did this shit. He needs to be gone like yesterday."

Laying on the floor traumatized by that much pain, he tried to keep focused. He had to save Mari, and looking to the key he needed to grab for it. But he was exhausted. His back was bleeding as well as his feet, but his skin was tanned with a red burn as if he had been sunbaking for a year period. But there were nine people, nine that he had to save and so many tasks he would have to go through. This was the first one, and he was scared for the rest. But laying, the two minutes was almost up. He had to unlock her chains but he couldn't, and she couldn't reach them. This couldn't be it, but before he could possibly muster up the energy to unlock her binds, she took the situation in her own hands - or hand anyway. From what she said, Eli was scared. What was she going to do? But before he could object, she got ready. From what he was seeing, he clicked onto what she was going to do. No fucking way!
When she pulled, he heard the bones break and shut his eyes wincing in reaction. She had just broken her hand to bypass the binds, and it worked. She started unlocking her binds and chains, before trying to get Eli up. He was supposed to be helping her, not the other way around. And he looked like the biggest pussy! But he had to do it, and as he started to be pushed by the door he had to help get himself up. So biting his lip, he strained by shot himself up. Standing, he immediately grabbed for the railing to stablize himself a bit, and then looked to Mari. She was freaked, and he had to do something to make her feel better. She nearly just died, and showed how strong she was. So he pushed out some words in an attempt to lighten the situation at least a little bit. "I-I'm okay". He coughed, and then heard the bang of the walls hitting each other. They had survive, but little did they know of the bonus mission they was about to be put in - or more specifically; Mari.
By the door, a digital clock screen turned on set at two minutes. Not again, fuck that! He was not even strong enough to look at the blood right now, but as a old television turned on in the corner of the mesh, Eli looked down at it immediately. Rapid static turned into the face of a creepy white faced doll that turned its head so slowly and creepily that Eli almost wanted to look away. But then the voice began, and it seemed that things definitely weren't finished yet. Fuck!
[/b][/ul] The television turned off, and Eli stood and stared. He looked to Mari and put a hand on her shoulder. Looking down bellow, the amount of gunk and part in the river made Eli want to vomit. But if she did not succeed, then they would be trapped. As soon as the television went off, the clock started. Eli had done his parent, and now Mari was going to have to embark on her own mission and find the hearts in their. Pearing over the railing, he saw the jars. Cameras were fixed on them, obviously monitoring that the jars were actually having hearts in them, and also weights to see if it is legit. There was a ladder leading from the river to where Eli was originally, and access to the door. But seconds were going, and Mari had to do what she had to. He felt so bad, but looking to her he completely forgot about the pain and sighed. "Are you okay with this?". He asked, breathing heavily.[/blockquote]

The close of the doors had her exhaling but by now she was paranoid. You did not grow up around darkness without knowing how to manuevere. When she saw the video of the doll she watched it like a hawk as she finished setting her hand absentmindedly. What a total loser this tool was. Hiding behind a prop? Fuck that noise this bitch was going down! She tilted her head to the side and smirked a bit, Pigs blood huh? Guy musta ran out of humans. Well it proved he wasn't as BA as he thought. She'd seen worse in her time. She frowned as he said her heart would burst if she didn't find those pig hearts. Well in for a penny in for a pound.
"Relax Eli I got this." she said as she looked at the water and passed him her glasses. Then waded into the bloody river and took a deep breathe before diving in full body experience. She made sure not to inhale as she looked about and saw various bits. Intestines, pigs heads with the eyes gone. Oh wait there went the eyes....this was like bobbing for apples vampire style. She reached for something that floated buy. No dammit that was a liver freaking A. This was seriously annoying. She hyper focused her senses and shut out everything but the clock as she kicked her way around and felt her right hand throb. Fuck she hurt. Ahh well. It just gave her more focus. Reaching out she shoved a bunch of entreals that were drifting in her way. Oh goodness the damn things had ruptured and there was pig shit in here too. Freaking fantastic. She saw it then drifting past and reached out. Grabbing the heart in her hand she held it aloft as she went back down.
Then near disaster struck. Someone had put darn near a whole pig corpse in here. It was ripped open like that bantha in Empire strikes back and it gave her an idea....then it hit her and knocked her under. She clutched the heart in her left hand and body slammed that dead pig under her. Pig surfing for the win! Sighing she grabbed the carcus and came up. Putting the first heart in a bucket she went organ diving. Hauling that dead pig with her. She smelled as its bowels let loose and swore in gaelic. Now she was covered in pig pee. Freaking wonderful. Taking a deep breath she dove down and began ripping and tossing useless organs over her shoulders. She had to look like Repo! the Genetic Opera but she so didn't care right now. This pig was cold and as its lifeless eyes stared at her she reached in and pulled out a fistful of maggots...No shit that was where the heart was supposed to be. "That bastard!!" she screamed and tossed the dead carcus away. Sighing she began looking over the eddies of organs as she felt her own starting to expand painfully.
Wait a sec...hearts were light...well relatively. So it had to be bobbing up on the top next to the eyeballs. She sifted through some pig brains and there mashed in with one, for some messed up reason, was a heart. Ripping it out she walked it over to the jar without a heart and felt her organs aching. She gasped but kept moving just as her foot tangled in some entrails and she went down. Mouth full of pigs blood she spat but didn't loose the heart. Staggering she made it to the jar without a heart and put it in there before gasping. She looked at the clock five seconds. Shit. She slowly climbed her way out and joined Eli. Blood dripped off her in sheets "FUCK YOU CARRIE! I got your prom right here bitch!!" she shouted as she wrung her hair out to get as much blood out of it as she could. Spitting some more she stuck her finger down her throat and made herself vomit the last of the blood up in a corner. Half dead maggots came with it. Gotta love protein.

He felt like a coward. Turning when he saw her rise from the intestine driven lake at the bottom of the room, he turned his head. What he was confused on was that this 'guy' was giving them direct passageways out of the building and to safety, but there were still eight other people in the building. There should be someway forwards, and not backwards. His feet still bleeding, he hobbled over towards the door behind them. It was attached to the moving wall. At least he knew the walls had to close, and looking at the door he twisted the handle and it opened, luckily. At least he knew where he had to go, but in front of him he saw a piece of paper attached to a string. A hint, always helpful when you are playing for your life. Ripping it off, he looked at it feeling exhausted, his limbs tingling in pain and from the injections. When you look at the numbers on my face, you won't find 13 any place. One step from the wrong person could end in death. Sometimes only one can move forward, and one must move back. If not - her organs will combust. Make your choice Eli. Looking at it, he realized what was going on. Mari couldn't come with him, or she would die.
As she rose again and the door opened, he glanced back at her as she vomitted. Tossing the note onto the floor, Eli looked at her. "Mari, go get help. I'll be out - I promise". Before she could object, in which he knew she would, he moved through the door and slammed it behind him, hearing it lock and the movement of the walls reopening, ceiling off the door completely. The fact scared him, but it had to be done. Mari had already been through a lot because someone obviously had it in for Eli, and she had been caught in the aftermath; and who knows who else would have to go through this. So once it locked, he looked at his hand. The blisters that covered it had faded slightly, and the pain wasn't as bad. At least his healing was still working, so sighing he turned and walked down the hall. It was dripping water from the slightly leaking pipes above, and it was messy, one solitary light hovering above and faintly eluminating the path as he walked down, and entered the next - - - game.

Moving back up she watched Eli move towards the door. "Eli?" she said as she took a step forward. "Eli, be careful." she called as she saw him close the door behind her. Slowly she made her way back out the door, her glasses perched on her nose as she slipped backwards through the maze. Sighing and keeping herself together as much as she could.
As she walked she made sure to double check that there were no traps waiting to catch her. She exhaled and made her way over to the first room she walked through the wall of blood and felt it coat her body like another batch of goo. Shaking herself like a dog she rubbed her glasses clean and looked at the recorder that was dangling in front of her. Grabbing it she held onto it and walked her way out to freedom. She was going to find out who did this and why as soon as she got her hand fixed. This was not something she could shrug off. She began a slow deliberate walk to the hospital.
