HISTORY

Vanessa led a sheltered life while war raged behind the scenes. With her family being hunters it stood to reason that she would be trained from toddlerhood on how to be a fighter. She was given ballet and karate lessons and spent most of her time learning how to defend herself when she wasn't going to school. She was at the beginning of her freshman year, popular and bubbly everything was looking up for her. She had even managed to score a spot on the cheer-leading squad before everything turned grim.
The year they come from is 2030 An evil the children were hide from from their parents past rose again. This evil formulated a plan, using an alignment of evils to take over the world. In Los Angeles, the base of operations is there. Everette, Axel and Xzavier are in a war against the evil in the city, looking for a way to beat them back. Vanessa, Channing and Palmer are all relatively trained in battle, but they were hidden with Lily and (Everette's Wife) when the war raged.
During this war, evil went up against good and one out of the three brothers died, along with Eli and Lana. Everette however, wounded and exhausted, told the Next Generation that they have go back, back to the past to help stop evil before it gangs up and takes over the world. Doing so, he used powerful magics and sent them back one at a time, so they would appear within the next few weeks or month. The first was Vanessa.
Before she was sent back Vanessa was a popular girl and enjoyed her time hanging out with friends, oggling boys and being a mischievous imp. Her father loved her and she was his little princess. Her uncle Axel teased her and threatened to show any boys she brought home her baby pictures and although she squealed indigently about it she got along with him and loved that he worried about her.
Her uncle Ev was the one she ran to with problems when her life got too stressful. When she'd first started demon hunting he was the one that helped her through her awkward stage and helped teach her to land on her feet. She got so good at her skills she actually got a slot on the cheerleading squad.
Her aunt Mari (friend of the family) was always guiding her on the right path as she worked through the ethics of killing and Uncle Rodney made her laugh even as he helped her to strength train to be the tough little hunter she is today.
She did learn that not all vampires were evil as Uncle Robert made sure information was passed to the good guys with his daughter Merry backing him up and using the public library as a hide away for hunters. At least till it was blown up. Aunt Merry and everyone was fine but they all had to move the meetings to Aunt Mari's place. It was a real creepy mansion but she'd been remodeling with Uncle Rodney's help.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Vanessa, fresh from the future will do what she can to assist in the destruction of the ancient evil. Her goal is to make the world a better place in the future and to learn what she can of her uncles since she's not seen much of them with the war going on around them.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Her father’s laptop was giving her no end of grief. Stupid slow internet! They had the internet on touch screens everywhere where she came from. No one had to hook into the net you were wired wherever you went because you paid your internet bill with your taxes. Simple and easy 24 hour access from anywhere at any time. Having to use a computer was so dumb. She mashed the keyboard with her hand and a blue screen popped up saying something about a system crash, “What does this blue screen mean???” she asked as she mashed some keys again and the computer started to erase its own hard drive. “And what does “Deleting Drive C:// mean anyway???” Just to stop it scrolling she closed the thing down and left it in sleep mode, shoving it in its case and ignoring it from then on (This would cause it to overheat and melt the motherboard on top of erasing the OS and bios. There would be no saving this machine when Zxavier found it later) Walking over to the kitchen she opened the door and pulled out a coke, kicking the door closed with a stylish (if retro by her standards) sneaker. She turned on some internet radio station and rolled her eyes as “We Are Young” by Fun. Played for what felt like the hundredth time. Sighing she turned on the television and propped her feet up on the table top. These stupid things only let you watch one channel at a time. How stupid was that? She was used to watching five. She texted her brother about how lame tech was here and he texted her back about having to have actual money to ride the bus. Seriously??? Change? Everyone knew you used your bank card and it worked everywhere now.
