Okay so she was supposed to end up by her uncles place as she came into the future but as she landed on her ass and the bright blue vortex closed she wondered why it was she'd ended up in a pile of sludge instead of something cool like flowers or something.
Standing up a bit shakily she glanced about the abandoned house and shuddered. It reminded her of that Tori Amos song that her Aunt Mari played called "Black Dove"
The room was dark and covered with black shutter cloth that hid most of it in darkness. Her eyes adjusted and she wiped her ass only to really look at her hand. That wasn't mud...it was blood. Crap...
On alert now for danger she looked around the room and realized it was right out of a horror movie. Chains hung from the ceiling and manacles swung in the breeze. There was even a bucket with blood in it and flies buzzing around it. Whatever was going on it hadn't been collected and she didn't want to be here when whatever it was came back.
Running out the closest open door she decided that the quickest way out was to climb the wall and creep along with her claws. It allowed her to peek in another room and see what it held. Body parts. So gross. Why couldn't she have the normal stuff happen to her that kids her age had? She wanted to date and party not pick someones genetics out of her fingernails.
She sighed and moved along the wall as quietly as she could but then she came to the bedroom. There were vampires galore here and no way was she taking on that crap on her own. Too bad they woke up and smiled at her with hunger in their gaze. Crap. She bolted and kicked a revenant in the face as she tried to dodge out the door. Dirt, spider webs and crud threatened to overwhelm her senses as she broke into another room covered in bird shit. Ugg what happened to vampires having class? These sickos were feeding on winos and hookers if the clothing choices of their victims were any indicator.
Anyone who thought vampires were sexy should visit this place. Those old ladies who preached about that Twilight Series they read when they were younger needed to see this place. It stank. It made her eyes water it was so bad as she broke through a window and shook her hair out. Her feet hit the ground and she smelled more sewage. Gah people had no dignity in places like this.
That was probably why there were vampires here. They loved to feed on the hopeless. Those back from the wars who were too broken to work or who never recovered from the housing bubble burst of the 2010's. Her hair was a mess and she brushed it over her shoulder as she glanced about then felt someone tap her shoulder. Spinning around she saw a vampire smile and she reacted hitting his face till she flipped backwards. Too bad he recovered enough to grab her foot and pull her down to the ground where her head cracked on the broken concrete. She saw stars and dug for her stake that she had in her pocket as she felt a vibration on the ground. The sound of footsteps.
She should be working out cheers not fighting off death. She so hated this right now. The most stressful thing in her life should be math not dying. Life sucked she thought.

She was a January Girl
She never let on how insane it was
In that tiny kinda scary house
By the woods, By the woods
By the woods, By the woods
By the woods, By the woods...
