Thayer woke up panting for air, it must have been a nightmare, he sat up, he was seemingly on this couch, he looked around, he really didn’t recognize where he was, he passed his hand through his hair, trying to remember what happened last night or was his dream real, either way, something was real and something was all a dream and he had to figure it out. He turned into a seated position on the couch. He lifted his head he saw this TV in front of him, then he looked down on the table there was a note. “Be right back – E”. Who was E? Thayer was a bit out of it still, still half groggy and asleep and half confused. He looked around the place, it certainly wasn’t his dorm, neither one of his former trick and treats, he got up to explore the room a bit.
He got up and walk towards the kitchen. His throat was really bothering him as he searched the kitchen and cupboards for a cup or something to have a glass of water. After five minutes of searching he found one. He opened the faucet and then filled his glass with some water but he was still confused to where he was. He then saw some mail as he dug through them, then he saw the name. “Emery”. So she was real he thought to himself. Emery wasn’t a dream, so that other stuff probably was. Which now that he thought about it, is understand able most of it didn’t make much sense.
Thayer then heard a knock at the door, he walked towards the door as he was trying to figure out who it was. “Hello? Emery isn’t here now, who’s at the door?” Thayer got no answer, he was getting really worried it could have been one of Selena’s henchman, he was worried. But it was silent behind the door, he slowly approached the door as suddenly an envelope was sent under the door and it had Thayer’s name on it. Thayer slowly picked up the envelope as he looked at it and it said “To Thayer, from mommy dearest”. From Mom? What? Who sent this. Thayer was shocked he didn’t know what to do. He quickly opened the door to look out but no one was there. The hallway was empty. Thayer closed the door as he made his way back towards the couch. He then sat there, looking at the envelope, not knowing if he should open it….or not.

”Where are you taking me? Wait, who are you again?”
Emery rolled her eyes and turned around to face the guy that she was taking to her home. She reached out touching the side of the face. “I’m Amy remember. The girl you met a few weeks ago at your job. This will be our fifth date. You know what they say about fifth dates right?” She grinned at him, and he began to blush. “That’s right. Plus, I wanted to show you my extremely large mansion.”
He gave her a dazzled smile. “Yes, Amy. Now I remember. You are so beautiful.”
Emery dropped her arm. “Yes, we’ve been through this before. I know. So beautiful.” She turned away from him and continued walking. “Come on.” Maybe she should have picked someone a bit less headstrong. She went for the first guy she came across because she didn’t want to leave Thayer alone for too long. Getting him there was hard enough. She didn’t want him to change his mind and just leave. Plus, she still hadn’t burned the body of the guy who owned the house she was staying in. She had stuffed him somewhere hopefully Thayer wouldn’t find.
It didn’t take long for Emery to make it to the house. Her plan was to at least get this guy to come over for Thayer to play with. She told him she was going to help him with his abilities, and she wasn’t kidding. But it wasn’t going to work effectively if it was Emery who was his play thing. No she’d need an actual human. And she figured that a guy wouldn’t be a problem. After all, Emery didn’t care if it was a girl or a guy she drained. That could of course be because she liked both, but she really hoped he didn’t care either.
Emery jumped up the steps glancing back at the guy who was following after her. She threw her arms up with a happy smile. “We’re here!” She grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him towards her. Her lips touched his for a few seconds before pulling away bringing some of his sexual energy into her and making him even more head of heels for her. It was just one last spurt of energy to take for herself before she handed off her meal to Thayer. The guy was completely frazzled. She grinned as she hit her hand to the side of his face a few times softly. “Come on, tiger. You have some work to do.” She turned back towards the door and opened it walking in with the guy.
“Hello? Thayer? I’m home!” She looked back at the man. “Take a seat. I’ll be right back.” She watched as the man sat down just at the kitchen table on the first floor just as she had ordered him to do. When she could see that he was happy enough in the daze that he was in, she headed into the living room where Thayer had slept the night before. She was extremely relieved to see that he was still there, but he looked a bit apprehensive. She looked down at his hands. There was an envelope in it. She nodded towards it. “Thayer, what is that?” She hoped he hadn’t found a letter with the guy’s name she had killed to keep this house. When he didn’t say anything, she walked over towards him and sat down next to him. She peered down at the letter in his hands and it read ‘To Thayer From Mommy Dearest’. Shit, they had found him here. That Selena chick she still wasn’t sure about. At least that is who she assumed the letter was for. It could very well be from his mother though. She didn’t know anything about him just yet which meant that he could very easily been born from a succubus mother. That would make it very easy for her to find him whenever she needed too. But if it was this Selena character, she really wasn’t worried. She had people in high places that were counting on her which meant they’d be protecting her. And as long as Thayer stayed with her, she’d be able to protect him too no matter who was after him. She looked at him. “Open it.”

Thayer heard Emery come in but he really didn’t pay much attention to it to even answer. He did more footsteps than usual but the envelope had all his attention for now. This couldn’t be true; this couldn’t have been from his mother. They knew he was here and they never bothered getting in touch with him? This is how they do it? They send a letter? So much of this wasn’t making sense. Did they have people following him? How did they find him here, why not knock on the door and say “Hi I’m your mommy?” They must have known he was looking for them, yet they didn’t make the effort but they send a letter? Thayer was just so far in his thoughts before he knew it Emery was next to him telling him to open the letter. Thayer looked up at Emery with the most devastated look on his face, a face of worry and concern.
“I…I …don’t think I can”. Thayer looked down at the letter again. It all wasn’t making sense to him. “Emery, before I came here I did a horrible thing. I never knew of my powers and I killed this girl when I was younger, I loved her with all my heart and I killed her when we had our first kiss. Before that, my adoptive mother died of cancer. People who get close to me die Emery and I ran away and since then I’ve been here in LA, searching for my birth mother and the only person who knew of my parents was this demon.”Thayer looked down again, he was really emotionally wrecked, his eyes was becoming watery, talking about his past, something he hasn’t talked about to anyone since leaving Canada. “That demon’s name was Selena and she told me if I killed these brothers she calls Trinity Brothers she would give me everything I needed to know about my birth parents.” Thayer looked down, again just practically broken, not knowing why he is letting everything out but he guessed it was the fact that he got this letter is making him open up. “And…well…I failed…twice. That’s why I tried to run away”
Thayer was once again just lost in his thoughts as he looked back down at this letter, just glaring at it, his finger right under the edge, seconds away from ripping it open and reading it but for some reason he couldn’t make himself do it. He wasn’t sure why but he just couldn’t do it. “But now…I got this letter…and…I don’t know what to expect Emery, I just don’t “. Thayer was worried what this letter may hold. He wasn’t sure how he’d react to learning the truth about his birth parents. “I’ve spent all my time here looking for answers, looking for this, but, now that I have it…I’m not sure I want to find out”. Thayer just looked at this letter, knowing he’s seconds away from opening it, but yet he sits there, just looking at it. Not knowing, what would be written in this letter? Hoping Emery could help him make up his mind.

Thayer said nothing to her as Emery sat down next to him. It took him quite a long time for him to finally look up at her, and when he did, Emery could tell that he was very upset. And then he told her that he didn’t think he could open it. Emery wasn’t expecting to get his whole life story after that though. She listened, a face full of fake concern. Of course it wasn’t going to be real concern. She had no clue what he was truly going through. He was talking about how he killed the love of his life with just one kiss and it devastated him. Hell, that was one of Emery’s favorite past times. And then he mentioned the fact that his adoptive mother died of cancer, and now he came to LA to search for his birth parents. Again, that was something Emery couldn’t relate to at all. She had slaughtered both her mother and her ass hole step father. She had no clue who her real father was and honestly had no intention of finding out. He was just one of the guys that knocked her mother up while she was screwing him for drug money. She assumed he was nothing special, sure as hell not billboard dad material. Even though all of this seemed like complete and utter nonsense to her, she listened intently to him.
But it wasn’t until he started talking about Selena and the Trinity Brothers that she really started paying more close attention. If she could figure out where the heck the other two brothers lived, she could pay them a visit. But even aside from all of the Trinity Brothers talk, she couldn’t help but feel sorry for this kid. For one, she was 99.9 percent sure that this Selena bitch had no idea how he was going to be able to find his birth parents. That was just what demons did. They manipulated someone vulnerable because they could. Now that was something Emery could relate too. And now, Thayer thought that this letter was going to tell him everything he needed to know about how to find his parents. When he mentioned that he had failed this demon twice, Emery was pretty sure that if there was something in the letter that could help him find his birth parents, it was just a set up. A way for Selena to get to him where it hurt. Make him vulnerable again and then kill him. Because demons hated to be embarrassed. And she was again pretty sure that if Selena put her faith in Thayer and he failed, that would be pretty darn embarrassing.
Emery stared at him as he finally put an end to the poor-me poor-me speech. She did feel a bit sympathetic for him, but she wasn’t going to let that interfere with any of the plans she had. Besides, she had pretended enough to be able to get this kid to believe that she actually gave a shit. She sighed as she nudged Thayer’s knee with her own. “Hey, how about you let me open it.” She didn’t wait for him to give her the okay. She snatched it out of his hands and gave him a smile. “There’s no need for you to do this alone right?” She might have seemed confident about this, but she was really just playing things by ear. Who knew what was really in the letter. And whatever this Selena chick decided to put in it could possibly change everything for Emery and her hopefully new accomplice. “And why wouldn’t you want to find out? If you’ve been looking for so long, wouldn’t you want it to be worth something?”

Before Thayer could respond, Emery snatched the letter out of his hand. He wasn’t really focused or sure how to react to her from snatching it but he was still a bit shocked in the moment. Emery said she was going to read it but Thayer wasn’t sure he wanted that, if he was going to find out the truth, or lies, it might as well be him reading it and not someone else. He looked up at Emery as she took the envelope. “I think it’s better if I read it, I…I should face this myself.” Thayer slowly lowered his head as he opened up the letter and got ready to read it. He read the letter and this was written in it.
“Dear Thayer, it’s your dearest friend Selena, you may think you could get away from me, but I will always have an eye on you. But you consider this letter your freedom from me. I know this may come as a surprise but if you are getting this letter, this means I am no longer part of this world, but also that you are safe from my henchmen because I want to give you what you were looking for.
I promised you the identity of you birth mother, well you are reading this letter, so I’m assuming you failed to catch those Trinity brothers for me. But since I am now gone, I think you deserve some kind of closure.
So the identity you wanted and that you shall receive. Thayer, your birth mother, was me. Yes, I was your mother, such a shocker right? I know you must be, I know we haven’t had the real mother son bonding time but there is a way you can certainly make your mamma proud.
You are my blood, my son and like me, Evil is certainly a part of you and that is why I leave my most prized possession with you. “Hart Enterprises”, that’s right, even though you failed to catch those Trinity Brothers, but I know my death won’t be in vain. I know you will try to not only fight in honor of your real mother. But also take over Hart Enterprises and rule LA with all your wrath and fury. Because my son, our family, our legacy and destruction must live on.
So that is what I leave you with, sorry we couldn’t have our little moments but I know you will do me proud.
Sincerely yours,
Your Mommy dearest, Selena Hart.
P.S.: When you finally rid the world of those Trinity Brothers, I’d love their ashes to be tossed in front of Hart Enterprises, so the name Hart would always look down on them.
When Thayer was done reading this, his jaw dropped, he was practically pale on comparison with right before he read the letter. He couldn’t believe it, Selena was his mother, to make things worse, he was a Hart, he was, evil, or so she said, but he never felt evil, he never wanted Hart Enterprises, that building made him feel weird, he never wanted anything to do with Selena, but, she was his mother, it couldn’t be true, but why would she lie about something so big? Thayer was still just lost for words. “I…I…can’t believe, Selena….she was my mother”. Thayer looked up Emery, not sure how to react or what to do.

Emery’s move didn’t work. It seemed that he was giving her all the clues to just have her open it. But maybe he just wanted emotional support. That was going to be a bit trickier than she thought. The last time she had been there emotionally for anyone was back when Caleb and her were still together. That was over six years ago and before he started beating her for fun. She nodded and handed him the envelope to let him open it himself. She gave him a soft and hopefully encouraging smile. When he looked down and began to open it, she watched him. She was debating on whether to read the letter over his shoulder. She normally wouldn’t care what it said, but if she did know what it said, she would be prepared for his reaction. But judging by how quickly he had wanted to claim the letter before she read it, she decided against reading over his shoulder.
Emery could see that his face was beginning to get paler as his eyes scanned the piece of paper. Whatever was in that letter was doing something to him. She could see it in his face. She knew he was already done with the letter because he was just staring at it blankly. The suspense was killing her. “Thayer, what is it?” It took him a few seconds to respond. And when he did, he looked up at her in utter shock and told her that Selena was his mother. “Holy fuck! The demon bitch who wanted you dead was your mother?” Emery must have been in shock too because she wasn’t careful with her words at all. She wasn’t sure she could really recover from that comment, so she sighed and looked at him as sincere as possible. She sighed “So, what does that mean for you? And why did she send this to you now of all times?”

Thayer was shocked, he didn’t know what to do, say or act, all he knew was he found what he was looking for but it was too late but also, it wasn’t what he was expecting. He could hear Emery in the background but only vaguely. She asked him why the letter and what it said. He tried to speak but he was actually hesitant to speak, he was just in shock, not sure what to say, how to move or even how to react but Selena was his mother, that had to shock any sane person to be honest. Who would have though, he certainly didn’t see it coming, maybe that’s why he can’t even seem to blink at this moment, it was just shocking.
“She…she’s…dead. I mean she…died…that’s why I got the letter. She knew I was her son. But…I don’t know, I guess she was testing me. I don’t know…but she’s dead”. That seems to be the only sentence Thayer could say, his mother was dead and he had no idea what to do now. She left him a fortune, her legacy so he could do evil as well. But he wasn’t evil was he? He always felt something weird when he walked into that building but that couldn’t be it. There needed to be something else, there just had to be something else, this couldn’t be it.
Thayer looked up at Emery, all sorts of emotions going through his body, he was just not able to gasp what the letter had in it. “She…she left her company for me, Hart Enterprises, she wanted me to take over…and…destroy the Trinity Brothers, take command.” Thayer sighed as he looked down, worried, confused and just still trying to take in all this information at once. “But…I can’t be evil, I’m not like her…I just can’t…I can’t even control my powers, how will I control a multimillion company and kill those Trinity Brothers. How? When I’ve tried and failed twice in capturing them?” Thayer felt this all couldn’t be true, could it? He was just caught off guard by this. Maybe Selena was messing with his head, but why? He didn’t know what to believe anymore.

Emery was very impatient at the moment, although that was something that wasn’t shown at all in her face. She had already known this was going to be a challenge for her the moment she had met him the night before. He was so scared, fragile, and helpless which would normally have been thought of as an easy person to take control of, but Emery was still getting to know him and from what she was learning, he was so confused about everything. Sometimes it was harder to work with someone when they were all over the place emotionally.
She watched him hoping that he would say something. He finally did, but he still hadn’t looked her way. He was still fixated on the letter. He answered her question telling her that Selena was actually dead. Thayer finally glanced over at her a few minutes later and told her about how Selena left her with Hart Enterprises. This was a name she was vaguely familiar with. Many of the demons in Bloodlust had mentioned it in passing. Emery wasn’t sure exactly what they did, but she did know that it was neutral. Some demons talked bad about it, while others raved about how it helped them through some pretty rough times. Either way, it was a huge enterprise that was very successful. What really caught her attention about the subject of the enterprise was the fact that Selena apparently told him in the letter that she wanted him to take it over and destroy the Trinity Brothers. It seemed that Thayer was becoming more and more of a use to her.
But she knew it wasn’t going to be easy when he said that he didn’t want to be like Selena, like a killer. Well, that just put a damper on things. But Emery still had a while. Farra had yet to rise, and to her knowledge, the Trinity Brothers had no crazy plans to take down certain people. Besides, they had no clue who Farra or her were. She knew her opening with Thayer. She would have to gradually get him to accept himself, and then accept his dark side. No matter what anyone said, their kind had one. It was just their nature. Yes, he may have been born to it, but it didn’t matter. Deep down, there was a side of Thayer that she was dying to bring out. Emery sighed. “Easy there. No one has come for you yet. They may know where you are staying, but obviously it isn’t something that is going to be forced on you. Selena had this message delivered to you, instead of having her lackies just come and take you away. That means you have time to decide what you want to do on your own. But whether you decide to take over this company or not, you have to be able to understand your ability. I think that would be the best place to start regardless of what you want to do.”
“Hey, where am I?” Emery was so focused on Thayer, that she had completely forgotten about the man that was sitting in her kitchen. She could hear his footsteps pacing through the house now. Her control had worn off which was understandable. Her and Thayer had been sitting in there for about fifteen minutes already. “And we could always start now?” She asked him. She was hoping he would agree to her proposal, but she would probably need to do a little more work. “Listen, Thayer, I know this is hard for you. It has to be. I mean you get this letter that basically throws this destiny that you had no idea about right in your face. But you have to keep moving. I hate to break it to you, but it seems like you have a lot of deciding to do. So, how about we work on you before we get to the bigger picture of things.” She gave him a hopeful smile.

Emery was right, if he HAD to do this they would have made him do this but they didn’t. But could he do this? Could he really take control of Hart Enterprises, is he up to it? Thayer wasn’t sure he could do this but seemingly Selena believed in him enough to leave this for him. But was he the right choice. Could he be as evil as Selena was? Thayer had all this to think through before he could accept this. But he did know one thing, if those Trinity Brothers are the reason why his mother is now dead, they will pay. Wait a minute, what was he thinking, maybe he was like Selena after all, pure evil. “I just don’t know if I could do this Emery, she’s dead, she can’t teach me anything about my abilities or about her company and what went on there” Thayer then thought to himself for a second.
“Wait, Emery, you are just like me right? Maybe…maybe you can teach me not to be evil, not to be like my mother, you can help me with that right?” Thayer was a bit naïve at this point, anything he figured someone would tell him, could be true, Selena was his mother, that alone was a shocker enough to get anyone going. Thayer then heard a guys voice in the other room, that was weird, he doesn’t remember a guy being there when he got up. “Emery, who’s that?” Thayer slowly got up to see who was in the other room, as he walked through the doorway he saw this guy, sitting in the kitchen, almost as confused as he was. “Who…who are you? Emery…who…is this?” Thayer was a bit confused by this guy, and wanted to know what the point of him was.

Emery listened to Thayer complain about petty stuff that really didn’t matter at all to Emery. She didn’t get it. He was given this huge opportunity, and he was debating about actually dealing with it just because he wasn’t sure if he could handle being evil? What the hell was his problem? She would have jumped at an opportunity like that. She had once when she first became a succubus. She wished her mom was some crazed evil bitch who had been trying to take over LA, but she wasn’t. She was dead and most likely still decomposing in the ground right next to her step father that she murdered as well. She was actually having a difficult time not screaming at him to get over it and move on. But she refrained from doing such behavior. She was pretty sure that doing that wouldn’t work in her favor.
And then finally, Thayer asked Emery for help which was exactly what she was aiming towards behind all of his poor me poor me whiney whiney I’m such a mess ordeal. Emery smiled and shrugged. “Yep, just like you but in girl form. And helping you with that isn’t going to be easy, but we will work on it together.” But just as she thought things were finally progressing along, Thayer said something about the voice that had been coming from the kitchen. She wasn’t sure how he would deal with this especially after the letter. Emery did not see a letter in the mix when she decided to bring the guy home with her.
Emery watched as he stood up and walked into the kitchen. Emery rolled her eyes and stood up as well following behind him. Once in the kitchen, Thayer looked to the man and asked him who he was. He basically just stared from Thayer to Emery which was also to be expected. Just because he was blabbing didn’t mean that he was actually coherent enough to make sense of anything. Thayer then moved his eyes to Emery and asked her who he was. She sighed. “Well, this was the guy I brought home for you.” She gestured towards the man who was now looking around a bit dazed. “Yeah I figured we could get started. You looked a bit freaked yesterday, and I wanted to show you how you can protect yourself. It’s a simple step as an incubus.” She was partly telling the truth. The guy was brought over to show Thayer how to protect himself, but he was also brought over so that Emery could at least see where they were at and how much work she would have to do to get him where she wanted him. Of course, none of that would be something she told him. She would just stick with Thayer believing she was actually trying to help him.

Thayer wasn’t sure what was going on, this guy seemed as confused as he was, but Thayer wasn’t sure what Emery was up to, but she was right, she was just like him, she could teach him all he needed to know. “Protect myself? I’m a born killer; I just suck the life out of everything around me, everything I love, why would I need to protect myself? I’m a monster, nothing but a heartless monster”. Thayer’s eyes slowly filled with water as he looked at this poor helpless guy. He was just probably end up like all of them Thayer, thought, dead, just like the rest of them. Thayer, with his eyes all glassy due to him on the verge of crying. “What? You want me to kill him too? It’s all I’m good for Emery, even my mother thought so, that’s why she used me like that”.
Thayer wasn’t sure what to do; he was angered at Selena, but why? Was it because she used him or was it because she never told him her true identity, why did she wait until now? Until after she’s dead, after she didn’t have to deal with him anymore. It was all complicated for Thayer, he wondered why Emery wanted to help him but he figured at this point, Emery is all he had. He could tell the guy was confused, he completely understood too, he was confused when he kissed Harmony as kid, when he killed her, his first victim so to speak. But he though Emery probably knew what she was doing, she must know more than he did, nobody knew what he was, not evens himself. “Emery…I…I’m sorry, my mind is just…all over the place right now.”
If he wanted to correct himself, he must learn from Emery, she obviously lured the guy in here, but she didn’t kill him, maybe she could teach him that too, but what’s the point, he couldn’t control himself, even when he went after Everrette, his energy was like no other he’s had before. But Everrette lived but he wasn’t like all humans, but why was he thinking now, Emery could teach him all of this, emery could explain to him why. He needed to try to control himself, and trust in Emery, she lived a pretty simple life, she must want to help him be good to, to help him live a normal life, like she did. “Well, I do have to admit, he is cute Emery, so when do the lessons begin?”. He turned and tried to smile with Emery, he wasn’t fully comfortable with it all, but it was a risk, he just had to take. For the sake of his own sanity.

Really? He was having an attitude with her right now? He was raising his voice and everything. If he wasn’t such a possible asset to her she would have killed him already the night she had met him. His overdramatized emotions were really trying her patience. “Not if you practice, Thayer.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “How the hell do you think you are going to protect yourself against the trinity brothers or anything else if you don’t figure out what you can do with your abilities? You might as well just stick a dagger in your head right now because there is no way you’d survive against anyone.” She dropped her arms as she walked over to the bewildered man. She moved him along over to the kitchen chair where she had seated him before. “Sit,” she said pushing hard on his shoulders. He winced as he sat down. She glanced over at Thayer. “Dude! I’m not asking you to kill anyone so chill the fuck out for a second!” She caught herself beginning to raise her own voice at him which wasn’t going to get her anywhere if she kept it up. She closed her eyes and sighed. Alright, nice and slow. She opened her eyes again and looked at Thayer. “Okay, I am not asking you to kill him, but in order to understand you strengths, you need to have test subjects.” She smirked. “I would offer myself to you but it doesn’t work the same when you drain each other as it does when you drain humans. Let’s just say it’s a bit more….intense.”
Thayer apologized, and Emery nodded with as much sympathy as she could falsely muster. She waited for him to continue. And once he accepted her offer, she smiled at him. “Great! How about now!” She did want him to kill. She wanted to see that this whole teaching thing would be worth the cost of her time. But she doubted that that would happen today. Well, scratch that, she did know it would happen today, but she unfortunately wouldn’t let it get that far. She couldn’t. If she did, he would know that she was up to something because she hadn’t stopped him. And because of the state of his emotional stability, it was a sure thing that this guy would die tonight if she didn’t stop him. She cleared her throat and looked back at the guy sitting in the chair. “So,” She said bouncing her hands against her sides, “let’s try this clean and death free shall we? I really don’t feel like burning a body tonight.”

Emery was right, how was he going to defend himself. He has faced both Axel and Everett before and they were both skilled at what they did, but they probably had many years of hunting under their belt, this whole world was new for Thayer, he wasn’t familiar with witches and all that wandered the earth, it’s when he came here this world was introduced to him. He looked down worried as he sighed. “You’re right, I’ve failed against them before and now, I have a chance, to get better”. It made him feel better that Emery was willing to help, even if it seemed like he angered her slightly, but he could understand why, he wasn’t being the most positive person right now. But she said she was going to help him control himself, nobody was going to die, it was a securing feeling only one person he hasn’t killed in his life and that was Everett Evans, but technically he wasn’t fully human, so that didn’t count now did it? . He couldn’t practice on Emery, it would be counterproductive and it would just be two sexually charged demons draining each other of their own energy, like energy masturbation or something.
So, Emery gave him the word, though the guy seemed slightly lost and confused, Thayer slowly made his way towards the guy as he tried to smile, but suddenly the smile on Thayer’s face turned into a smirk, he wasn’t sure why but he felt he lost control of his body, like he wasn’t himself. He slowly held the guy’s hand as he slowly guided the guy to his feet, then he stood there, face to face, with this rather good looking guy, at least Emery found him a hot guy to experiment on. Thayer slowly glided his hand up the guys arm, as the touch of him just simply felt electrifying to Thayer, the sensation grew, as the guy slowly grew more aroused with every touch Thayer gave him. Thayer then looked at the guy into his eyes, the guy’s eye seemed to have locked on Thayer, like Thayer had full control of him, like he would do anything Thayer told him to, this was the first time Thayer felt so empowered. Thayer slowly tilted the guy’s head on the side, slowly kissing the side of his neck, as the guy gave slight moans, it was clear, Thayer was already partially feeding off of this guy’s sexual energy. Thayer slowly kissed the guy up his neck, as he made his way to the guys cheek.
Thayer slowly made his way up, until he locked lips with this guy, Thayer felt a sudden surge of energy just entering his body, it felt amazing, it was the same sensation he felt when he tried it with Everett. But it wasn’t as powerful but it felt as good. Thayer slowly moved his head away from the guy as his eyes were completely white and shiny as the energy could be seen coming out of this guy’s body and inserting itself into Thayer’s body through their mouths. Thayer suddenly felt this sensation, it was the most amazing feeling in the world, it seemed like the world was gone and it was only him and this guy, he heard screaming in the background but didn’t pay much attention he couldn’t make it out. But suddenly he was pulled to the floor for no reason as the guy’s almost lifeless body falls to the floor and Thayer was also on the floor but this was because Emery pulled him on his shoulder. “Why…I…I couldn’t stop…it felt…” Thayer sighed, he couldn’t control himself, he wasn’t sure this guy was alive or not but all he knew was if Emery didn’t pull him, this guy, could be as good as dead.

Emery nodded as he agreed with her, but really she was nodding because she was agreeing with him. She wanted to tell him ‘oh yeah, you did fail completely because you are pathetic and quite the amateur’, but that probably wouldn’t smooth over too well. At least there was finally some progress. It seemed that her persuasion and manipulation skills were really playing in her favor with Thayer…so far anyways. He hadn’t really suspected anything from what she could see, but she wasn’t a mind reader. But he must have trusted her. If he didn’t than he wouldn’t have started walking towards the man. The side of her mouth lifted, and she didn’t even try to conceal the motion. She didn’t have to worry about him seeing it or caring if he did. His will had already succumbed to the urges of his lust. The yearning for that energy that he could so easily absorb from this man. She could see it in the smile that formed into an evil and very cocky smirk.
When he began to caress the man’s arm and kiss up his neck, Emery watched. She wished she was the one doing this. She hadn’t had a good feeding since the guy at Blood Lust, and it was killing her especially now that she had to watch a newbie do it. And the worst part was the fact that she’d have to stop him eventually when he went too far which would probably be very soon. There was no way he’d be able to hold it in for too long. Once he got just a little taste, he’d want it all. Every last drop of energy he could suck from the man.
The kisses continued to trail up the man’s neck, and she could hear the soft moans of pleasure until Thayer’s lips finally locked with the man’s. Emery could see the sexual energy surging into Thayer from the man. It was happening so quickly too pouring into the young incubus’ mouth. She could see his eyes begin to glow. Did she really have to stop him? He could drop this guy in an instant if he just kept going. But she had to stop him. It was what she had promised him, and it was what would keep her at the status she was with him right now. ”Thayer stop,” she said really hoping that he wouldn’t. ”Thayer that’s enough,” she pushed on, but of course he wasn’t going to stop. If she was draining her victim, and some ass hole decided to step in, she’d ignore the person too. So, she did the only thing she could do. Rip Thayer right off of the man. Emery did so, grabbing his shoulder and yanking him away and down to the ground. Both Thayer and the man fell instantly to the ground, Thayer a bit more pleasantly because he could actually catch himself while the other guy was in pretty bad shape.
Thayer began to speak, and Emery looked down at him, his eyes filled with worry. Ugh, it was sickening how pitiful he was, but she held the act she had been playing since she had first met him. ”Thayer, it’s fine. He’s fine.” Emery said stepping over Thayer and kneeling down by the man who’s eyes were closed and was lying there, the shallow occasional breathing was the only movement seen. Emery grabbed him by the front of the shirt to lift the dead weight up to her and opened her mouth. Oh boy was this going to hurt her later. A faint strand of clear aura escaped her mouth and flowed into the man. After a few seconds, the man’s eyes flickered open and Emery closer her mouth. The man’s eyes met hers, and she glared at him with displeasure. She had just saved this man before his heart gave out. He was the last person she wanted to be locking eyes with. She let go of his shirt, and he fell back with a grunt. “What….what happened?” He asked just as confused as he had been just minutes before the whole scene had played out. Emery stood up. ”Relax, you were walking to work and you got lost. But you start in fifteen minutes so I suggest you hurry up and find your way there pronto.” The man looked to become very worried as he stood up quickly almost as if nothing had happened to him at all. The man nodded at Emery. “Thank you for helping me out. I guess I must have really gotten turned around.” Emery gave him a very friendly smile. ”It happens to the best of us.” She waved at him as he left out the front door. Her arms dropped, and she spun around on her heel to look back down at Thayer. ”Rule number one. If you think you’ve gone too far, make sure he’s dead before you start crying about it. You can save him if his heart is still beating.” She held out her hand to help him up. No matter how he took what just happened, she wouldn't be able to stay with him all day. Giving up some of herself for this thing would mean she would have to go heal herself. She felt completely and utterly drained now, but at least he had witnessed the possibility of saving someone which would probably save her from dealing with him weeping about killing someone.

Thayer was on the ground, dead worried, did he kill the man, he had to, he didn’t stop on time, he was hungry it felt great, but he didn’t feel good, it was insane, Thayer wasn’t sure what was going on right until he looked forward and there was Emery, as calm as ever, kneeling over the guy, telling him it’s fine. How could it be fine, the guy was probably dead, all his fault, Thayer with his puppy dog eyes, stared in worry as Emery attended the guy. What was she going to do? Check if he’s dead? It’s pretty obvious that he is, no questions asked. Thayer closed his eyes, he was worried, another body to add to his list of dead people. Great, just great, like those weren’t enough? When Thayer opened his eyes, he was a bit surprised by what he saw.
There was Emery, she had the practically lifeless man held by the shirt and Thayer noticed, Emery was well he wasn’t sure was doing, he flickered his eyes, trying to see if he was dreaming, Emery was actually giving this guy her energy, this couldn’t be true, it just couldn’t. Thayer looked on in disbelief as he looked on speechless. “What are you….” He couldn’t even finish his sentence because of the state of shock he was in. Not because he practically killed a man, but because she was bringing him to life, Thayer has never seen anything like it before. The guy woke up shocked as Emery seemingly just lied to him and he believed every work she said. Thayer wasn’t sure what was going on. What just happened but his mind was clearly just blown beyond proportion.
Emery was a gem, a true actress acted like nothing happened at all. She kindly escorted the man out of her apartment as she turned her attention back to Thayer and held her hand out to help him to his feet. Which he gladly held onto as she pulled him to his feet. He just looked at her in shock. In complete disbelief. “How…how did you do that….you…you brought him back to life…how did you do that” Thayer made his way towards the chair as he sat down at the table as he put his elbows on the table and put his face into the palm of his hand slowly wiping off his face, he was really freaked out by all that just went down.
“I…I was sure I killed him…but you…you revived him” Thayer was taking time to process all that had just happened. He wasn’t sure how she did it, but he wanted to learn how to do that, maybe if he knew he wouldn’t have killed his friend all those years ago, he would never had run away, he would have never found out about his birth mother, he would have just been better off If he knew of all of this earlier. “I need you to teach me this” Thayer asked in worry and wondering if she would agree too it. She had to, or he would continue to kill, he couldn’t live with himself if he did.
