STRENGTHS

- Manipulative. It doesn't matter if you think it's a strength or a weakness, Anna believes that it is her saving grace in life. She can manipulate you to kill yourself if she really wanted to. She's never had to manipulate someone for any other reason besides herself and her vain reasons but you get the idea.
- Strong. Not physically strong but emotionally strong. Of course, she is physically strong as well but that isn't what we're talking about. It takes a lot to hurt her. It doesn't matter what you say to her, she probably won't let it effect her nor will she think about it for more than a second.
- Dependable. If she says she's going to do something, she'll do it. She may come off as a very flaky person but in reality, if she says she'll do something, it's going to get done. Of course, she may not always handle it herself. She may hand the problem off to someone else but you can guarantee that it will get done.
- Outgoing. No matter where Anna goes, she can make friends. Of course, they aren't her real friends as they'll probably die in 80 years while she still looks 17, but they're her friends for the moment.
- Happy. While most people in her situation wouldn't be happy, Anna couldn't be happier being a vampire. She had always felt a little off but the second she embraced being a vampire, she had never felt more herself in her life.
WEAKNESSES

- Family. Anna of course, doesn't have contact with any of her family but she knows all about them and keeps tabs on them to make sure they're safe. If anyone were the threaten that, she wouldn't know how to handle it. Much less if someone did hurt them.
- Unable to commit. You may be able to depend on her if you have her word but after that, she'll be gone and you won't hear from her until she needs something from you. She's had relationships before. You can't live 167 years without being in one though she has never fully committed to one person.
- Blood. Obviously, blood is a weakness. She needs it to survive and can't be her full self without it. She has thought that she may need it a little more than some vampires but she soon realized she liked the hunt more than the actual blood.
- Pretentious. She talks a lot of talk about a lot of things but in reality she isn't as great as she makes herself out to be. She knows she isn't nearly the strongest vampire. She's still fairly young and can't do a lot of things most vampire can do. Sure, she can read the occasional mind but besides that she can't do much. What people don't know won't hurt them though.
- Secretive. Don't expect Miss Anna to tell you her life story the seconds that you meet her. In fact, you'll probably never hear her life story. If you do, consider yourself lucky and expect her to stick around to make sure you tell no one else.
LIKES

- The thought of a God. Though Anna is sure that when she dies, she'll be going to hell, it's a nice thing to think that there's someone who will forgive her for everything that she has done in her life. She's murdered, stolen, and who knows what else. It's just a nice thought.
- Romance movies. It may be an odd thing for a vampire with commitment issues to like, but there's just something about the consistancy of them that she likes. You know whats going to happen. You know that no matter what happens, everyone will end up happy.
- Shopping. Getting money isn't really something she has to worry about. If you looked at her spending, you would see that immediately. Countless designer clothes, shoes, and handbags litter her apartment. She feels that she should always look nice.
- Water. Water comforts her. She isn't really sure why. The sound of rushing water calms her nerves and being near a natural body of water soothes her.
- Chivalry. Anna doesn't believe that chivalry is dead and if she's ever going to even consider a man, he'll have to be a gentleman. She likes to think she carries herself regally and won't settle for anyone who doesn't treat her like that.
DISLIKES

- Animals. The smell of animals disgusts her and they normally don't react very well to her therefore she doesn't like them. Maybe if animals weren't always so loud near her, she would like them. There would still be the issue of smell though.
- Over emotional people. Her emotions are almost always kept at bay so it really bothers her when people are really whiny or cry a lot. Even people who are too happy bother her. You're more open to destruction if people can read you like a book sitting on a table.
- Being alone. Being almost always alone takes a toll on a person eventually. It's happened many times to Anna in her life and she doesn't plan on it happening again.
- Not having a family. When Anna was a human, her family and her were vary close. When she was turned, her parents thought that she had run away or worse, died and was eaten by wild animals. It broke her heart to see them like that.
- Being vulnerable. This could be taken in many different ways. Emotionally, physically, you name it, she probably hates it. She likes to feel like she can't be touched and she'll do almost anything to keep that.
HISTORY

Annalise was born in 1845 to Peter and Marie Franks. Her birth name was simply Anna Marie Franks. As she grew older, she craved a more exotic name and started going by Annalise Maria. She kept her surname though, out of respect for her parents. Anna grew up in a time of corsets and petticoats. Needless to say, the change in America has dumbfounded her.
Her parents were immigrants from Bulgaria. They wanted to fit in so badly in this amazing place called America. They even went as far as to change their names. Her mother's original name was Marina, her father's was Petar. They tried very hard to raise Anna in a home that was pure American rather than one that was Bulgarian. As soon as they landed in America, they moved to a small city in the south to open a store. Their store did relatively well. Well, as well as a store could do in the time.
Anna always did well in school. she spent most of her time studying and perfecting her piano skills, at the request of her parents. By the time she had turned 15, she had begun to rebel a little bit. Not directly though. She had to much respect for her parents to do that. She started doing things more on her own, without the help of her parents. Her parents noticed and tried to keep her in the house as much as possible, scared that if she was out on her own she would be hurt.
Now for the most important night of her life. It was late at night and she was returning from a gathering of sorts. She was halfway asleep when she felt the carriage stop and heard her driver scream. She quickly got out of the carriage and saw a figure holding her driver by the neck. He spotted her, but she couldn't run fast enough to get away from the figure. The next thing she remembers was waking up in a basement.
She spend the first ten years being a vampire hiding from it. She lived off of animal blood when she absolutely needed it, never drinking from a human. It wasn't until the last 1860's when she had her first taste of human blood and she never went back. She was a predator. She loved the hunt of finding someone who was gullible enough to believe whatever story she had spun that night. She spent her time traveling and killing.
Welcome to the twenties. The time when Anna truly found herself. she finally settled down in the great city of Chicago. She got an apartment and everything. It was her favorite era that she had lived in and she didn't hide it. She was out and about almost every night, careful to cover her tracks so she wouldn't be discovered. It wasn't like it had been before.
Present day. After the twenties, she followed wherever the 'fun' spot of the decade was. That led her to Los Angeles. She lives in an apartment alone, feeding on nobodies usually. Though sometimes she can't help herself and takes someone well known.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I want my character to end up softening up a little bit. Honestly, I don't know exactly where I intend to go plot wise. I would have to discuss it with people. But I love plotting.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Anna smiled at the doorman when she walked into her building. She had decided to stay in a hotel near her house last night after her mom and her had gotten into it. She knew her mom had left now though and she hadn't seen Parker in a few days. Her younger brother was a bit of a trouble maker, but still loveable nonetheless, at least to her. She was sure that some people would disagree. sometimes she wished he would grow up, but she had been just as bad, if not worse when she was a senior in high school. Her partying days were over though.
She pressed the button to close the elevator doors and waited patiently until the doors opened. She immediately smelt smoke and rolled her eyes. Of course he was smoking in the house. Her mom's one rule and he was breaking it. It wasn't like she would notice or anything but it was the principle of it. "Parker!" She spotted his head peeking over the couch and walked over to him quickly. she ignored his cigarette, knowing it would only make him want to do it more if she told him not to.
"I miss you, baby brother." She smiled at him, sitting next to him. She set her purse on the table in front of them and smiled at him. "Got any big plans for tonight?" She knew he did. He always had plans. she leaned back on the couch, leaving her body angled towards his.
