[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Stubborn: he doesn’t give up and once he has a plan, he sticks with it, which is mostly good, but can once in a while get him into tight spots.
- Kind-hearted: he cares about others, which is good in that he’s willing to help others, but bad in that he sometimes gets in over his head.
- Loyal: he’ll do anything for his friends, which means he’ll go above and beyond to come to their aid, but it also means he’ll help someone even if they’ve burned him before.
- Physically fit: he’s in in pretty good shape which helps him when he fights vampires, but he’s still only human, which means he can be hurt pretty easily.
- Quick on his feet: he’s able to think quickly when he’s backed into a corner and can think of ways to get out of it.
WEAKNESSES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- No real fight training or experience: though he’s been hunting vampires for a few years, he wasn’t raised in the hunting world and doesn’t know much about the Supernatural world, which makes him vulnerable and easy prey.
- Hot headed: he has a temper. It takes a lot to get him riled, but once he’s sufficiently irked, his temper comes out and it takes him a while to re-compose himself.
- No special powers: though he’s taken up hunting, fighting, and killing vampires, he has no special skills or abilities to give him an edge over them.
- New to fighting in the supernatural world: he’s only been hunting vampires for a few years and though he’s learned some things, he doesn’t know all that much about them or any other creatures.
- Impulsive: like his temper, this side of him isn’t seen a lot, but there have been instances where he’s acted rashly

[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Music. Even as a kid, whenever he was mad, sad, upset, stressed, etc., music would have a calming effect on him and still does.
- Teaching: he loves music and drama, and he loves sharing his passion with others.
- Practicing fight techniques: he knows that he has to stay on top of things and be in the best shape that he can, so he trains by himself, trying to anticipate an invisible vampire’s attack.
- Keeping fit: even before he started hunting vampires, he cared about his health and did his best to stay in shape, something he still continues today.
- Movies: like music, they help him to relax.
DISLIKES
[/BLOCKQUOTE]
- Vampires: they killed his girlfriend right in front of him, so he wants to kill as many vampires as he can find.
- Being lied to: Kyle values honesty very deeply and hates it when he’s lied to.
- Slackers: Kyle has a strong work ethic and expects his students and others to have one as well.
- Cheaters (Academic/romantic)]): academically, he figures, if you’re just going to cheat, why even bother taking a class? Romantically, he feels that two people should be equally invested in one another. If one of them can’t do it, why bother entering a relationship?
- The Supernatural (Related to his hate of vampires): in his studies, he’s learned that there are other creatures and he figures that they’re all the same.

Kyle’s lived in Los Angeles all his life with his parents, Jake and Melissa, a high school history teacher and stay at home mom respectively. Kyle attended Kingston Elementary and Bronx High and was a good student in both schools, often staying up late to work on assignments. He was thirteen when he bought his first guitar and begged his parents for lessons as well as enrolling in the school’s music department. After much discussion, they agreed, and it was soon discovered that he had a knack for the instrument. Shortly after his fifteenth birthday, Jake had suffered a massive heart attack and died, causing the boy to have to grow up fast. He offered to give up his music lessons and find an after school job to help out, but his mother insisted that he keep the lessons up. Because he dedicated his time to his music studies, he was able to get a music scholarship to LA University, where his work ethic helped him to successfully get a music scholarship. In college, Kyle discovered a love for acting and minored in drama.[/BLOCKQUOTE]
While he was in college, Kyle met a girl named Tina Landsdown and they quickly fell in love. However, it wasn’t meant to last. A few years before Kyle started teaching at LA University, they were ambushed by a group of men who quickly subdued Kyle and then forced him to watch while their leader bit into Tina’s neck and then left her dead. Kyle would find out later that he and Tina had been victims of a vampire attack and would unofficially start hunting them. He’s now living in an apartment close to LA University and working as a music/drama teacher at LA University and hunting vampires on the side, something he keeps a secret so that the school board doesn’t find out and fire him.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
I see Kyle becoming more and more involved with the hunting life, but not so much that it would interfere with his job. I also see him possibly becoming a kind of friend to Eli (would have to talk it over with Ava). Eventually, he’ll learn who the vampire was that killed his girlfriend Tina (not gonna Trenton since he’s also my charrie). I can also see him gaining the attention of the Evans Bros, maybe even getting into fights with them.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

Trenton, Xzavier
WHAM! Kyle grunted as his back hit the wall, causing him to drop his stake. This is bad, he thought to himself. He had to get the upper hand over this vampire and fast. He gritted his teeth, grabbed his stake, and climbed to his feet. The creature snarled and charged at him. Kyle tightened his grip on the stake and stood waiting. When the vampire was close enough, he thrust the stake out pointy-end first. There was a terrible shriek and the vampire disintegrated.
”Thank goodness that’s over with,” he mumbled to himself.
