Xzavier blew out a breath as he parked his car at the shopping complex, and then walked through the shops. I wonder who the werewolf is, he mused to himself. Whoever it was, was pretty nasty. He or she had completely mauled their last few victims. He frowned, running what he had learned through his parents journals in his head. He knew that werewolves were human most of the time, but when they wolfed out they were stone-cold killers. But who could it be? he wondered. Well, whoever it was, he'd have to remember that they were usually human, and probably didn't even know what they were doing. As he walked into the shops, his eyes darkened thoughtfully. He'd have to tread carefully. The last thing he wanted to do was anger a potential werewolf. Then, he walked into one of the shops and noticed one of the sales girls and walked up to her. "Hello," he greeted.

Shannelle smiled at a couple kids, that came into the store all hyperactive and laughing as they entered and content with what they bought – but still hyperactive – when they left. She couldn't bring herself up to be anything other than polite that day, as she knew she had transformed that night and it had worn her out completely, both mentally and physically.
”Hello sir, how may I help you?” She asked a customer with a smile, moments before she directed him to the section in the back of the store and her attention was drawn by a man, coming to her. ”Hi.” She greeted him with a smile. ”How may I help you?”

Hi," she greeted him. How may I help you?" "Yeah, I screwed with a friend of mine. Not a girlfriend, but...still---special," Xzavier replied. "I wanna get something for her---you know, apologize." he told her. And it was true. He knew he had hurt Lily's feelings, but he hadn't meant to. He just wanted to make sure she was safe. And the only way he knew how to do that was to keep her at arms length. He'd rather have her mad at him for the rest of their lives then to cause her death. But at the same time, he didn't want her to think she had done anything. "So what can you recommend? he questioned.

Shannelle looked at the guy in front of her, who told her he had messed up with a friend of his. "What does your friend like? We can figure out what to buy for her from that point." She said, as she looked at him, trying to hide the fact that she knew him.. Or types like him, better than he assumed. Her attention was then pulled to a television screen where she saw the attacks that happened not too long ago in the neighborhood. When she saw that, her mouth went dry and the smile disappeared. Had she..? No.. She couldn't have. She looked back at the guy. "I'm sorry, um.. Let's go look at a gift for your friend. She said, smiling again, this time a little bit less real.

"What does your friend like we can figure out what to buy for her from that point,"[/b] Xzavier nodded. That was a good idea. "Yeah, good idea. Well, she's really tough, but she likes the occasional piece of jewelry-gold in in color," he replied. He started to say more, but stopped when he realized that her attention had been diverted. What's up with her? he wondered. Frowning slightly, he followed her gaze. His eyes clouded as the reporter mentioned the recent attacks. He was almost certain that the attacks were the work of a werewolf. Each body had been badly mutilated, practically mauled, and left for anyone to see. He glanced at the girl. "You okay?" he asked in concern. "I'm sorry, um...Let's go loook at a gift for your friend." she said. "Uh, yeah. Like I said, she occasionally likes jewelry---gold in color. But I also have a budget," he told her.

Shannelle nodded and listened to what the guy in front of her, told her about his friend. It however, took her some time to let it register in her head what he had said as she was still shocked by what he said to her and not a little bit too. ”Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just awful what happened.” She told him, trying to sound as sincere as possible. There was no other way then for these attacks to have been hers. And it sucked, because she had been trying so hard to hold it all back.
She sighed and smiled again, this time a little bit more real again. It couldn’t get to her. Besides, no one knew it had been her, right? She shook it off and let it register what he had said. Jewellery. Of course. ”Then I’d suggest you to look at the bracelets or necklaces. They should be in your budget.” She said, as she looked at him.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just awful what happened," she responded. "Yeah, it really is,"he agreed. "Then I'd suggest you to look at the bracelets or necklaces. They should be in your budget," she said. He nodded. Having gone shopping here with Lily during their relationship, he knew exactly what section of the store the girl was talking about...unless they had changed things around. "Thanks," he said, flashing her a smile. Then, he headed over to the section that had bracelets and necklaces. He frowned thoughtfully as he perused the items. Which one of them would fit Lily's personality? Then, a small necklace caught his eye. It was small, gold in color, and was in the shape of a cross. I think she'd like this, he thought to himself. He quickly checked the price. Forty bucks. Little pricey, but nothing that would break the bank, he thought to himself. He carefully picked up the necklace and headed back towards the counter. When he was close enough, he placed the necklace on the counter.

Shannelle smiled and looked at him, as he headed to the section. Then she headed to the counter and quickly told the one behind it, she was going to take a break. She couldn't focus on anything anyway. And the full moon was tonight too, meaning she had to stay inside.. Or get home quickly, as it was already nearing the evening. She quickly eyed the guy she had helped, before heading toward the exit. "I couldn't have done all this.." She mumbled, about the attacks, to no one in particular.

To his surprise, the girl he had been talking to told someone else to ring him up. Okay, that's kind of weird, he thought to himself. But on the other hand, the images that they had shown on the news report had been pretty gruesome, even for those with strong stomachs. He then pulled out his card and paid for the necklace. Once that was done, he turned and started headed for the exit. "I couldn't have done all this..." Hearing the mutter, Xzavier turned around and headed for the girl. "I think we need to have a talk," he said quietly. I don't know how powerful she is, or what she's like as a human, so I'll have to tread carefully here," he thought to himself. Hopefully, she wouldn't attack him....

Shannelle walked quickly, praying nobody heard her and that she would be able to go home. She'd call in from there that she fell ill or was tired and wouldn't come back or whatever. She couldn't go back to work with what she'd done! If only she knew what she had done and if only there was a way to stop it. She closed her eyes and shook her head, almost bumping into an older lady. She quickly apologized and walked further away.
Suddenly, she froze and bit her lip, when the guy she had last helped, in the shop, told her they had to talk. Damn it! She turned around and looked at him, with a questioning look in her blue eyes. ”What do you mean?” She asked as normal as possible, as she desperately hoped he hadn't heard what she said about the attacks.

As soon as the woman that they had to talk, she froze. "What do you mean?"[/b] she asked. He motioned for her to follow him and then waited until they were out of earshot and eyesight of anybody else. "You were fine until the news report about the animal attacks came on. At first I figured you were unsettled, which would makes sense. I mean, I've got a strong stomach and the images made me queasy, but I heard what you said," he answered. And it's a shame because she seems pretty cool, but she is a monster, he thought to himself. "And I think we both know who's responsible for these attacks", he continued, fighting the wave of sympathy that was starting to course through him. He just had to get her out of here so that no one would see him when he did what he had to do...

Shannelle looked at him, slightly suspicious and then followed him with a sigh. ”I don't.” She said, on the strong stomach part. She hoped she could talk herself out of this all, but she sincerely doubted it. When he said that he had heard what she had said, she bit her lip. ”So? It could have meant anything, right?” She asked, as she crossed her arms in front of her chest and looked at him, now totally cautious for him to try and do anything.
When he said they both knew who was responsible for the attacks, her confidence faded and she took a quick step away from him, eying him suspiciously, because face it, if he was a hunter, he'd kill her. ”What's your proof?” She asked him, sounding a little bit more timid, but hiding her fear quite well.

"I don't,"[/b] she insisted. "I heard what you said," he told her. "So? It could have meant anything, right?"[/b] Xzavier bit his lip. He'd have to tread carefully. "This is true, but I know what I heard, and add it to your reaction to the news report... Zzavier's voice trailed off. "What's your proof?"[/b] she asked. Xzavier started to respond, but stopped. She was right. He didn't have any proof. "Well, if it wasn't you, can you think of anyone it could be?" he queried.

Shannelle looked at him and nodded slightly. "If you did, then why are we having this conversation?" She asked, more nervous than relaxed. If he found out what she was.. Or if he saw her transform, he'd kill her. No mercy, no questions asked. He'd just.. Kill her. When his voice trailed off, she looked around her and back at his face, silently studying his emotions. "I don't have a strong stomach." She said again, while narrowing her eyes slightly. "I don't see how that has anything to do with your obvious suspicion of me attacking those people. How the hell, do you expect me to have done it anyway? With my bare hands?"
"I don't know who did this, aren't the cops on this? You don't look like a cop." She said, before trailing off herself, knowing she wasn't good with staying calm, while she was as nervous as she was now. And if her voice betrayed anything, she'd be doomed.

"If you did, then why are we having this conversation?"[/b] she asked nervously. "I was giving you a chance to come clean," he responded. If you asked him, that was pretty fair. Usually, he'd just shoot first and get the information later. "I don't have a strong stomach,"[/b] she told him. "I don't see how that has anything to do with your obvious suspicion of me attacking those people. How the hell do you expect me to have done it anyway? With my bare hands?"[/b] Xzavier straightened his stance. While her attitude could be from being mad at him for what he was saying, he got the feeling that the girl's wolf side was influencing her. I don't know who did this, aren't the cops on this? You don't look like a cop."[/b] she said, her voice trailing off. Xzavier let out a scoff. "Please. The cops here couldn't find drugs in a crack house," he replied with a roll of his eyes. "Let's just say I have a vested interest in this," he told her.
