Letting Loose (Eli)

Since coming back from New York and her old life there, Ai was feeling useless here. In New York, she'd managed to make an imprint on culture there... And while her clothes were selling, it seemed like she couldn't be a force to be reckoned with... Perhaps it was her quasi neutral stand with the Brothers...?

Ai shook her head. These thoughts were self destructive. She could perform if she doubted her ability to perform... Eli... Her mind drifted back to Eli... Suddenly a voice burst into mind, clear despite the noise... "Yea... That was that guy's name... The Artist that played the other night... Wonder why they got a Death Metal band to play at a club... Every time we've seen a band like that it's been at a different type of venue." She looked around... Stepanka had explained that she was part of a four Vampire long line of telepaths with different views of the world... That was it! The buzzing! She was developing her sire's gift, like her Sire before her and His Sire before him!

She shook her head... Well that was one issue solved. She was in a good mood now, she knew what was going on. She stopped a moment at the bar to order a drink and smiled around the room. Life made a little more sense... Now what to do about the fact that everyone thinks she's Noah's little pet... He was hot for sure, and she'd gladly tap that, but doubted it work passed that.

"Let's see." Ai closed her eyes and started practicing Stepanka's mind clearing technique... The buzzing quieted to a dull roar, and she felt for the first time since coming to LA that she could relax. She smiled more freely. "I love this city!" she muttered to herself.

Darkness covered him. He didn't know if Thomas was in the crowd or not, but it was only a count down now. A ticking timer to when his new life would begin, and this shitty place could sit behind him. He was excited, and hopefully would be staying with Thomas in San Francisco until Eli got onto his feet. Thomas was - sweet to let him. He wasn't exactly sure what was going on, if their is something there or just Eli's hopefully ear, but he was totally interested in this guy. It was something he hadn't felt before, where all the problems in the world go away except for what Eli wants, a kind of motivation to do something with his life. Not fight vampires, but follow his dreams. To make music and get rich, not have to die trying. So up on the stage, the darkness qued his entrance. 'Broken-Hearted Bastards' was still standing for now, and tonight he was going to let loose with a favorite. He had drifted away from 'fun' music, but Thomas must be in the crowd because he was going to bust out with an All American Rejects classic.

The smile could not be wiped off of his face. He loved it, and he would miss it. LA Fever rocked. He had been there for two years, playing singing screwing and all that stuff. But proceeding to greater pastures was on the menu now, and he couldn't wait. But he cherished this. The atmosphere, the fans, the usuals and the free-tab. But finishing up, keeping his shirt on this time, he made his way off of the stage and towards the bar. Call it common routine, but he finishes singing and gets drunk. It worked, and being a vamp hybrid it made getting drunk a bit harder. But as he got to the bar and a brew was put in front of him, he took a sip feeling kinda energetic and happy. A slight smile on his face, he took a sip of his beer before pearing over the bar. There was usually someone he knew chillen out around there, but looking he saw someone. A girl; who he could have sworn he had seen before. His eyes panned and paused on her. It was kind of creepy of him, but he looked at her. At a party maybe, even though she looked to old to be in college. Somewhere they must have met, and as he tried to sus her out he forgot his new rule of run. Where was it going? Maybe this was going to be a much more interesting night then what he had planned..[/blockquote]

She let her mind roll over others' minds slowly. From her ears, Ai could hear someone singing... His voice didn't really sound suited for straight rock... Maybe Screamo, hard, or death Metal... Straight Metal maybe... Slowly her mind began to focus on the singing voice. It was a boy, he was broadcasting love, he was in love with someone, Ai like the sounds of love, the boy sounded hot, and so was the one he was in love with... That was only slightly depressing for Ai, she was so high that she couldn't bother being mad at the universe for keeping someone away from her...

Ai began looking for people who could fit these people. Eventually her eyes fell on one, across the bar from her. He was staring at her. That had to be the one thinking, the more she stared back, a pleasant, flirtatious smile on her lips, the more she became more in tune with his thoughts... Suddenly she understood... Could her thoughts have summoned Eli himself?

With a tilt of her glass Ai stood up and walked over to where the young man was. She reached up to stretch an arm over his shoulder and play with his hair. "You know where I come from, a guy makes eye contact like that and he's expected to buy a girl a drink." She smiled playfully, her lips revealed sharpened teeth, a hint at what she was, and if this was Eli he would know.
