Matt's first two days in LA didn't really turn out the way he had planned. He had gotten onto a trail of a werewolf way sooner than he had expected, but the encounter hadn't gone as planned. After tracking and following it for about a few hours, he turned out to be somewhere in the middle of the forest, not that he actually had a problem with that, he had been in enough woods to know his way around, but with this werewolf? He wasn't so sure.
After trying to find back it's trail when he lost it, he finally found it at some higher grounds, with some friends that were standing by it, having lured him in the midst of them, it were only three, but three in the middle of the woods without this being the plan? It didn't seem like the most logical and smart thing to do. The thing about it was that it wasn't even a full moon now, these werewolves obviously choose to be this way, to hunt like this, especially the one that was on the front of them seemed like a very hungry and enjoying hunting one which was more than drooling at the sight of him right now. 'Well couldn't this have gone any worse?' He mumbled full of sarcasm as he slowly first took a step backward, but then looked up as he felt a first drop on his head, and at the time he looked up, it started to rain down on him, it wasn't too much, but it made things even more difficult.
Matt took a quick glance backward at his bearings, at what was around him and then back in front of him where the growling continued yet again and the one at the front put a few steps forward to him. He should have noticed earlier that he had gone too far into the forest, that he had followed this one werewolf that he had found by coincidence already leading him straight to the place where he'd go if he felt intimidated. Maybe it wasn't even violent? Maybe he felt provoked and that's why it led him here? He bit his lip at the thought of that but shook his head then, no point in thinking about that now, he had already jinxed himself with the whole rain thing. Luckily he had the right weapon and ammo for this situation, so when he saw the best opening, he drew his gun and shot at one of the werewolves in the back, hitting it in one of his legs, making the other two, so including the one at the front, to momentarily look back and then getting even more pissed off obviously when they looked back at him.
Running into this situation to begin with was a noob move on it's own Matt thought to himself but still he took the chance and turned around, started running back the way he knew he came from. He jumped over a few tree branches and other obstacles, still managing to hold his ground on the wet ground that was even getting worse by the minute. He made a small swerve when one of them made a jump for him and just hit him, but luckily no scratch or bite through his protective gear. Just as he was getting his balance back, he made another turn when the other one came jumping in front of him, and before he could make his jump correction, he lost his footing and slipped down the hill that he was on, falling down quite a bit, and hitting his shoulder first with quite some first and then his head against the tree branch at the bottom, which made him blink a few times with his eyes, before losing his consciousness for a moment, just hoping before that moment that he was at least far enough away from the werewolves down there.

Shannelle was lucky that she had her transformations better under control, thanks to Daryl, who she had been training with, for the past few weeks, she could transform at will a little bit better and with the smell of a human nearby, it was actually a good thing. Although she doubted Daryl would be very happy with her not locking herself up at his house. She just didn’t want to be around him, non-stop. And she hoped he would at least understand that.
She had followed the werewolves silently, without causing too much attention being drawn to her and she just.. watched. She wasn’t in a hunting mood and her human emotions came through way better than she had thought. When it started to rain, she knew the wolves wouldn’t be worrying about leaving behind a trail and neither should she. So, she slowly got closer and started willing herself to transform back.
When she heard a gunshot, she cringed and let out a low howl. She knew she had to try to distract them. She had to try and get this human, this guy, out of here. When the guy started running away, she followed him, just like the other wolves and managed to keep a close eye on him, as her body was slowly turning back into that of a human. When the guy was attacked and fell down, she stopped walking and howled again, louder, getting the attention of the wolves, as they realized it was a female. It was all she needed. She stood where she was and howled again, hearing the howl of one of the males and then when they ran in that direction, she quickly made her way down the hill.
She looked at him, eyes pale yellow and luminous and the transformation slowly retreating from her body, which she actually did at will. When she was human again, she was grateful that she wasn't naked or something. So she closed her eyes, ruffled her hair a little bit and started running, as she looked over her shoulder a little bit, pretending to be chased. When she arrived at the hill, she looked down and then back over her shoulder, as she descended down the hill. ”Are you okay?” She called, as she slowly kept making her way down and toward him.

Luckily it didn't take too long for Matthew to regain his consciousness and he blinked his eyes and tried to push himself up, but quickly felt a sharp pain in both his shoulder and arm and his head and laid back down while closing his eyes for a moment. It was until he opened his eyes again that he noticed the person, the girl, that was making her way down the hill and asked him if he was okay, well that wasn't really the description he would give for how he was feeling now, but he also had worse. 'I've been through worse...' He told her as he bit his lip and moved his body in a way so he was eventually sitting a little up against the tree branch he had fallen against with his shoulder and head, and tried to get the groggy vision to go back to normal fully.
Matt felt his head then with his good arm and hissed when he felt the wound he had on his head there and when he pulled his hand back seeing some blood on it. Still he didn't really focus on that now and when he thought of something, he quickly looked around and then back at the girl that was coming his way. 'What are you doing here anyway? It's dangerous out here, you should get out of here!' He said as she got worried that the werewolves might come back and maybe attack her or something. Still when a thought crossed his mind he narrowed his eyes a little and just looked questioningly at her as she came closer, trying to figure out at the same time by her behavior too if she wasn't one of the werewolves, just turned and coming to finish him off or something.

”Reassuring.” Shannelle said dryly, as she got closer and watched as he sat up against a tree branch. She looked him over and noticed he must’ve fallen on his arm and head and sighed. ”Come on, let’s get out of here. You can walk?” She asked, before looking over her shoulder and biting her lip, as it got quiet out there, almost too quiet. ”We don’t exactly have very long, by the looks of it. So, if you’re a hunter, you’d better come back another time.” She said, as she looked at him again.
When Shannelle saw what he did, she got closer and got down on her knees, as she looked at his head. ”You need to go to a hospital with this.” She said, as she looked at him again. She then smiled a little. ”Don’t underestimate a girl.” She said, as she cocked her head to the side. ”You should be happy too I was able to distract them, or I’m sure the smell of blood would have driven them mad. It still will, if I don’t get you out of here, before the time they figure out they’ve been tricked.”

Matt smiled a little bitter because of how dryly this girl stated that it was reassuring what he said and then shrugged with his shoulders, or shoulder in this case because of the pain in the other one. 'It is for me.' He said back dryly with a smaller but more honest smile for a moment. 'I think so, my shoulder's just busted, you'll have to help me up.' He answered her to her question if he could walk. He could still feel that he had enough energy and balance to walk, it was just that he couldn't really push himself up good enough with just one arm and the equipment he had with him, which he wasn't about to just abandon.
When it got so quiet that the sentence "It's too quiet" quickly came to mind as he watched past the girl to up the hill again before he bit his lip. Still when she called him a hunter, if he was one and that they didn't have much time, he looked at her surprised, not having expected to also run into someone that had an idea of what he was. 'It wasn't even my plan to have a confrontation yet, I was lured into a trap.' He told her, not directly answering that he was one, but he had the idea that she was pretty sure about that already.
He kept quiet for a moment when she got closer and got down on her knees in front of him and looked at his head. 'Yeah, they already see me coming, I don't think that's going to be a real good success, I just need time to heal and some stitches.' He said stubbornly as he looked at her so close in front of him. He laughed softly as he pulled up his eyebrows because of her next comment. 'I never said I was underestimating a girl, but you can't blame me for thinking you can't handle that much.' He said honestly while still looking at her. Yet again his eyes narrowed a bit while looking at her when she said he should be happy too that she had been able to distract them, how much she seemed to know about them. 'You know what they are? How can I trust you?' He asked as she still stuck his hand out to her to help him up to his feet, but had a look in his eyes as to strengthen his question because with that information, he was really wondering if she wasn't a werewolf or something else supernatural herself.

Shannelle sighed and nodded. ”Fine.” She said, as she smiled a little and looked at him. ”Still not reassuring, though, at least not for me, mister tough guy.” She then simply nodded and bit her lip, before she got up on her feet again and helped him up, to his feet. ”Okay, you’re stubborn, I get it, most guys I know are just like that, but you’re human too and honestly, you only have one life, so don’t be stupid and waste it by being stubborn. I’m taking you to the hospital and I’m gonna tell them you slipped. Let’s go.”
When she saw how he looked over her shoulder, she did too and then looked back at him again. When he started talking again, she narrowed her eyes a little and looked up at the sky for a moment. ”That’s just stupid. It’s a full moon, in the middle of the forest, of course there’s gonna be more than one here, we’re in LA.” She said, as she looked at him and sighed a little, as she looked at the forest again, listening closely to any sudden sounds. ”It’s the town of crazy, so please, if you’re gonna be a hunter and everything, then do everyone a favor and be careful.”
She then laughed. ”No, you just think someone like me can’t do anything useful against a couple of werewolves. Which, you’re telling me, has nothing to do with me being a girl?” She shook her head a little. ”Doesn’t fool me.” She nodded then. ”Of course I know what they are, I mean, I’ve lived in LA my entire life, you should think I’d know the difference of a normal sized wolf and a werewolf, don’t you?”

From looking at his shoulder Matt soon looked back at the girl in front of him that smiled and looked back at him as she said fine to his comment, but then added soon after that it still wasn't reassuring, at least not for him and how she called him mister tough guy. 'Oh sorry, I didn't know that the question if I was okay actually meant to reassure you.' He said dryly but also a bit teasing automatically before he bit his lip because of a little dizziness setting in because of her helping him up, but then getting his balance back and standing on his own feet mostly, but still for then holding on slightly to her. 'Great, so now I'm the mister stubborn tough guy?' He asked dryly with a small smile before shrugging his good shoulder again. 'No, just... Just take me somewhere that's calm and has some supplies, with your help I can do this... No hospitall.' He said as she stopped walking and looked her in the eyes with a determination in it about that.
Matt looked back at this girl again who looked at him with narrowed eyes for a moment before she looked up at the sky and he followed that for a moment. 'Well excuse me for having my calibrations off for when it would be a Full Moon, because when I started tracking the damn thing, it wasn't that time yet.' He told her before he hissed for a moment, grabbing his shoulder for a moment and then continue walking next to her. It was still too quiet, but he still hoped that was just his paranoid state of being injured and a hunter and not that it actually was too quiet, that never ended well if it really was, hopefully they had just given up, although he still doubted it. 'I am careful, but everyone makes mistakes you know? Some and most of those creatures just don't give a damn and go on killing... If it's werewolves, or demons or whatever.' He said back that this was the town of crazy and so if he was going to be a hunter, to please be careful.
Matt soon rolled his eyes when he heard her laugh but mostly because of what she continued on about her not believing that it had nothing to do with her being a girl that he thought she could help herself. He sighed and put a few more steps forward before he turned around to look at her and laugh slightly. 'Okay fine, look at you, you might be cute and look good and all, but that's kind of the point isn't it? That just that hasn't any effect on surviving out here and them? Because of that you honestly don't really look like much, but the biggest thing in my head is that I'm trying to wrap my head around, is that you might have lived her all your life, and now the difference between a werewolf and a normal wolf, but that wasn't my point, because you are here so cocky and sure of yourself, how can I know for sure you're not just one of them that wants me all for herself? Or are you telling me you're a hunter too or something?' He asked as he narrowed his eyes questioning and put a step toward her as he kept looking at her. 'Because for the girl part? You can blame me all you want, then you can take the chance once to prove me wrong that you're a miss tough girl.' He started, referring to her calling him mister tough guy too. 'But you can't blame me for wondering why you seem so sure of being able to handle yourself against werewolves.'

Shannelle rolled her eyes, slightly beginning to think that this guy didn’t want to be helped. ”I’m just trying to help.” She said, as she looked at him, refraining from giving him a sarcastic comment, even though she kind of wanted to. She smiled then, at what he said and nodded. ”It fits you.” She said teasingly. She then sighed and nodded, allowing him to lean on her a little bit more. She might as well just listen, she wasn’t going to argue him anyway. ”I can take you to my dorm, but I don’t know if my roommate’s home.”
Shannelle smiled at how he talked about the moon and everything. ”People have calendars for that, you know?” she asked, before looking at him again and walking further through the forest, which got kind of slow the further they got. If she had been alone, it would have gone a lot faster and she’d probably be at the forest’s hairline already. When he hissed and grabbed his shoulder, she bit her lip and stopped walking for a moment. ”I could have just left you here, you know?” She asked sarcastically, as she looked at him.
When he turned to stand in front of her, she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in front of her chest. ”You are so prejudice! Thinking you know every damn creature is evil! Like I said, I could have just left you out there and I’d already been out of the damn forest!” she rolled her eyes and pushed him aside slightly. ”You could have just said you didn’t want my help.” This guys was such a jerk!

Matthew did want to be helped, and a part inside of him told him to relax just a little bit, but this just caused a few questions to stay in his head and keep bugging him, which made him frustrated and act like this in the first place. 'I know...' He mentioned to admit with a sigh about how she said that she was just trying to help, but he couldn't really get an apology off his lips right now. 'Well it's good to know how you think of me already.' He said in a dry tone again as she said it fit with him, how she called him just now. When he heard her suggestion of where she could take him he nodded and looked at her for a second. 'If she is, I can just kick her out.' He said simply but also joking slightly automatically.
Matt soon laughed only partially sarcastically as he rolled his eyes for what she said about the calendars and then looked at her again. 'Of course, I mean calculated the time that I had, I don't even know why I'm explaining it to you.' He admitted as he shook his head and then looked back in front and slightly around as he kept walking as good and fast as he could right now. He kept standing still for a moment then too and looked at her again before cocking his head to the side again and smiling a little. 'I know, but can you really say that you know many people that would help you and risk getting attacked by werewolves themselves? There aren't really that many good Samaritans around anymore that don't have an ulterior motive you know?' He explained his reasoning to her before he had walked a bit further.
When Matt was facing her when he had turned around so he was in front of her, he could see her rolling her eyes and crossing her arms in front of her chest. He frowned in surprise then when he heard how she called him prejudice and what she said to him after that before he rolled his eyes lightly himself but still narrowed his eyes for a moment when she didn't really deny that she was one of them at the same time. 'And you could just answer the damn question.' He said before he cocked his head a little again. 'Because if you would have listened to me, I said MOST of them don't give a damn, I mean who's the prejudice one here? You think that just because I'm a hunter I see black and white? That I just go around, killing everything that's different than me?' He asked her with a frown again before shaking his head. 'And if I didn't want your help I would have said so, but here I am aren't I? And if you really just want to help me, here you are too, but with those werewolves attacking me, can you really blame me for wanting to know for sure that you're not one of them and luring me into a trap? To just at least want to hear it coming out of your mouth? You know, so that either way, there's a common thing called slight trust at least?' He asked her while keeping his eyes locked on her for now. Damn this possible werewolf chick! She was so annoyingly stubborn and defensively in the offense!

Shannelle simply felt on edge, mostly because he was a hunter and she was.. well, what he hunted, apparently. She was a werewolf and that alone brought her to a point where she just wanted to run off. When he said that he knew, she looked at him and nodded, before she smiled a bit at what he said next. It was true what he said, she already thought of him in a way, although it wasn’t the most positive one. ”I’m certain she’ll like that.”
”I asked.” Shannelle said dryly, as she looked at him, noticing he actually managed to look different when he was laughing, even though it was partially sarcastically. She noticed how he looked around and let him, as she waited for him to know that they weren’t being followed. Yet. She looked at him, when she heard what he asked her and thought about it for a moment. ”Yes.” She then said, thinking of the people in her life that would actually help her. Daryl, maybe even Marina.. She had enough people around her. ”Someone helped me, so now I’m helping someone.”
”So what if I am? What if I am one of those werewolves? What if. Does that mean that I just have to lure you to eat you? That’s nonsense!” Shannelle looked at him and narrowed her eyes at him, before she looked at the direction they were heading in to see how far along they were. ”If I’d have been a werewolf, you’d have killed me by now.” She said, before she started walking again, as he really was getting on her nerves and she didn’t feel like listening to him anymore. ”We need to go, they will be on our trail soon and we’re almost there.” She said, not answering what he asked her.

Matt wasn't here in LA for the werewolves alone of course, it was just the most quickest thing that had caught his attention and he had gotten the chance to hunt after, not that it turned out so great... He still wasn't going to explain that to her yet, but this whole situation was all but very nice or something. He chuckled softly about what she answered him about her roommate and he shrugged his shoulders then before he cocked his head to the side again. 'Well not too much I hope, it would be preferable that you get to clean and patch up these wounds after not too long.' He said dryly as he smiled slightly and looked at her before looking at where they were going again.
'Yes, you did.' He then said with a small smile again, which he knew himself made him look quite different than the completely serious and brooding expression he usually had, but in the forest, with someone he just knew, and he wasn't sure about yet if she was human and just with huge guys and intelligence, or just a werewolf that really did this out of the goodness of her heart, it wasn't like he seriously suspected her of leading him into a trap, but he just wanted to be sure, just wanted some reassurance, that wasn't too much to ask right? 'Well then you've had more luck than I have through the years.' He said with a sigh honestly about how she seemed to think about it and he believed the answer that she gave him then, that there were apparently really those kind of people in her life. 'Why? Because you want to or out of some sense of duty or something?' He asked her, feeling himself that there was an important distinction.
Matt sighed as he let his hand go across his face and he momentarily shut his eyes when he heard what she asked and said to him about what if she was one of them and then opened his eyes after a while to look back at her and then shortly in the direction they were going, noticing that probably they didn't have too much farther to go at least. 'Listen to yourself, you're listening more to your own prejudice about hunters than to what I'm actually saying, I know it's not all black and white, I hate black and white vision, but I'm a hunter, you already noticed that first chance you got! I just wanted some damn assurance, just one time saying that you're not, being honest with me and just answering the damn question "Yes I'm one of them but not planning anything like that, just here to help." or "No, I'm not, I'm just a chick with damn balls." is that really so strange? If someone just came to you that you didn't know, told you they wanted to help you, but you weren't sure, would you just let it slip?' He asked her as he frowned and shook his head then in a way that said he wouldn't believe it if she said that she would just trust that then and there.
He sighed and closed his eyes again, fighting against some dizziness coming up from explaining that so much to her and trying to make his voice as convincing as possible, in the hopes of her realizing what he was trying to say, and then grabbed the tree next to him for a moment while keeping his eyes closed. 'No you wouldn't... There have been more supernatural beings that I haven't killed, that I've worked with, but at least they answered my questions when I asked them out straight, not being ashamed of themselves, or just too damn suspicious of any hunter to, trust has to come from both sides you know?' He asked her when he opened his eyes again and regained some of his balance as he bit his lip with a questioning look again for a few seconds before nodding because he knew she was right. If she wasn't going to answer him yet again, he would just throw a damn uncased silver bullet in her hand or something to see what it would do, but he didn't want to be her enemy, but like he said, if she acted so suspiciously against and around him, how could she expect him to just blindly trust her with her help? 'Let's go then.' He said with a nod and pushing himself off the tree, continuing to walk as steadily as possible. 'Could you maybe...?' He still asked her after a few steps while biting his lip in some discomfort again in his body if she could help him with supporting him again, he could be stubborn, but not too stubborn when he knew help would be a lot better.

"Yeah, don't worry about that, I promised I'd take care of you when we get there, my roommate's just not one of those girls that cares about a lot.. At least, I don't think so. I don't even know how much of the supernatural she knows." Shannelle shrugged a little, as she told him this, while she looked at him.
Shannelle looked at him as he smiled and noticed how much better he looked. It even made him look.. handsome, which was quite an effort, as she didn't like him one bit. And yet, she could feel her face soften up a little as she smiled too and nodded. "I don't really know if it has much to do with luck.." She said then, before she shrugged again and thought about his question for a moment. "Well, it's partly duty, but it's also partly because I couldn't just leave you out there, it isn't in me to hurt people. And even if i do, I immediately feel guilty." It wasn't the whole reason, but she wasn't completely sure what that was either.
She stopped walking and looked at him, with a sigh. "Fine, yes, I am a werewolf and no, I am not going to kill you. I actually train to transform at will, because I hurt one of my friends, now can we get moving?" She asked, getting agitated more and more by the minute. when he grabbed the tree next to him, she however knew something was wrong and listened to what he said next. "You are unbelievable! It's not that weird to be afraid of hunters and yes, I am ashamed of what I am, 'cause about not that long ago, I was still human!" When he said to get going, she nodded. "You kind of make me hope I don't actually have to work with you." She said, as she looked at him and then in the direction they were heading in. She then smiled and supported him. "Come on, big boy." She said, as she took him out of the forest and to her dorm where she took care of his wounds, complaining that he really should go to a hospital.
