Shannelle made her way into the woods, in order to train some more, while her mind wandered off all on its own again. She knew there were few people she could go to, to train with. Especially not, because she knew what they would do, once they knew her secret. And if her secret was out, there was a big chance she wouldn't survive at all.
Then there was Daryl, big strong Daryl. He was a big reason why she kept going, if only to prove that he was wrong and she could do this all on her own, because she could. She knew she could and even if she couldn't. If she broke down crying at the end of the day, where she had trained herself exhausted, she wouldn't go to him for help.
So, she trained along, because she liked it this way. She liked to be on her own and not have to worry about anyone else around her. It was quiet and gave her more space to just concentrate on the things she was doing. However, after about fifteen minutes of training on her speed and strength, her body decided to call it a day and she slumped down against a tree.
Once she sat down, she looked up at the sky and relaxed. It was an amazing night and she was happy that she had come here. Well, actually.. It wasn't night yet, it was in fact nearly evening, but it felt as if it was so much later then it actually was, which felt strange, but also somehow calming. It calmed her to know that there was one part of her life she didn't obsessively have to hold onto.
Shannelle had come here straight from work, so that she didn't have to face Kyra's immediate questions on where she was going. Kyra could be a real pain sometimes, always looking for at least something to gain, in her opinion. And yet, she couldn't help but like her. She never saw them become friends, because in her own opinion there worlds were too far apart, but who knew? Anything could happen, right?
A sigh crossed her lips, as she closed her eyes and allowed her body to relax even more. She loved the night, she just did. For a big reason, it was because she saw better at night then at daytime. It had changed, but she was surely not complaining. Suddenly she heard howling and with a start, she got up and looked around her. ”Hello?” She called out, as she took a few steps into the direction of where it came from. Immediately, she heard a new howl and made her way toward it, starting to run through the already darkening trees.
The realization that there might be werewolves running around, only came, once she was already on her way to the howls. Now, she only hoped that the cops were long gone and weren't still lurking around, looking for whatever had happened to the hiker couple, that had been found, brutally murdered, only two days ago. She was certain it wasn't her, because she trained more. But, she had still kept a close eye on the news, to ind out who had.
