She was somewhere inbetween a dream and reality, her body felt like it was floating amongst the clouds. The salt water threatened to swallow her whole several times, however survival instincts would not let her sink as she clawed her way to the top. She was weak from the lack of feeding, she had been trapped for so long without food of any real merit. The blood of a shark that thought to prob her with a bite, however she had probed back. That was weeks ago, when she still had a boat to climb into for her own saftey. She was resourceful however, diving to the depths in her stupor to shield herself from the rays of the sun.
Washing up on the shore against the sand, her body twitched as it felt the dry land. The sensation was almost foreign, like she had never known what it was like outside of the water. Forcing herself to her feet slowly, she slowly rotated on the spot to get her bearings, the sun had long since vanished from the sky. She looked like a monster from a George Ramero film, her skin drawn so tight from hunger that her frame was visible. Anne absolutely looked like the walking dead, a zombie, especially with a soaked white gown clinging to her form.
Staggering forward, she started to wander aimlessly, until she heard the laughter. There were voices, a fire, and the overpowering scent of blood that hung in the air. Almost like the living dead, she turned, tracking the source with vacant eyes. When she found it, Anne shuffled quietly towards them, her mind ravenous, and intent on only one thing. It was almost film worthy when they noticed her, the eeriely thin creature in a white dress shufflings towards them, however when the fires light flickered and danced she was nowhere to be seen when they blinked.
As they all stood to leave, frightened by the 'apparition', a low growl issued from behind them. Anne was more monster than sentient being right now, her mind in a primal state of survival. Turning, screaming, they would never know what happened as they briefly glanced upon her face, that of a terrifying ghoul. The noise of the screams carried on the wind for a short distance until it was only really detectable by vampires or those in the area. In her weakened state she couldn't stop them all, all but the one she pinned down fled. Leave it to humans to abandon one another when the chips were down.
For awhile she just sat there, staring at the body as if more blood was going to magically appear in it. Her skin had not improved much, she still appeared to be the same monster, however now she could feel a hint of her old self returning. "Hungry.." she said quietly, causing her to jump. It had been years since she said anything, the sound of her own voice was alien to her.

Robert had sensed his sire's approach and had slipped off to find her. His senses were keen and he used his bond with Anne to locate her on that shore. Sure enough there were humans who were screaming and running away. 'Great.' He thought to himself as he tried to grip the minds of as many as he could and had them think it was all due to too much booze and drugs. Walking over to Anne he realized how emaciated she was. Luckily he had fed well and he was wearing short sleeves, "Anne, its Robert." she said as he approached her slowly.
He was ready for her to launch herself at him and feed if that was what her mindset was. "Anne what happened to you?" he whispered softly as he tried to get her to come back to herself. His brown shoes shuffled about as he looked at the body and thought about how to dispose of it. First things first, feed Anne. Then get the mess cleaned up.

Once she found that she had a voice, words, Anne let out an ear splitting scream. It went on for a minute or so, until the scream warped into tears. After years in the darkness she was finally able to let it out, crimson tears streamed down her face as she grasped at some sort of sanity. Her mind was trying to piece it's self back together as much as it could, though it had a ton of work to do. After only a few moments, she suddenly became aware that something was approaching her. There was another voice, one that seemed familiar, that roused her from her nightmare slightly.
The name it called seemed unfamiliar, who or what was an Anne? Was that what he was calling her? It must have been, right? She was oh so confused, all she knew was that she was hungry, that was the only thing she could confirm. The entire city would suffer tonight, there would be a series of murders that seemed to be unexplained, grisly. There was more talking, he asked her what happened, but when she tried to remember there was only darkness. Something was blocking out her memory, keeping her from remembering being confined again in that dark place.
"I don't.. know. Who is Anne? Who are.. you?" she asked, flinching as he approached. She seemed like a frightened dear, ready to spring off at any moment. It didn't last long however, the aggression returned as quickly as it had vanished. Without warning she threw herself at Robert, however she didn't go for one of the exposed arms that she could see. Her mind called out for that sweet spot, the neck where the blood came out so quickly. Her glazed over eyes showed no emotion or recognition in the moment as she plunged in, releasing the blood of his victims along with his own dark blood.
Anneliese would have bled him dry too if something hadn't clicked in her head, slowly she was becoming more and more aware of her surroundings. Eventually she would roll off of him into the sand, her face covered in blood as her hands found her stomach. A laugh rolled through her body, as if she found it amusing that it was all coming back to her now, even her skin looked slightly better. The hunger however would not end, nor did she expect it to, the human and Robert only enabled the flames. Climbing to her feet, she closed her eyes and let her mind wander as she listened to the sounds of the city.
"Where am I?" she demanded from Robert.

Robert approached her carefully, "I'm Robert. Your Fledgling, lady." he murmured as she launched herself at him and he caught her. He fell to his knees as she fed and he held his dark mistress knowing she held the keys to true death for him and that only she could pull herself back from the brink, Your name is Anne. Its short for Anneliese." he explained mentally as he tried not to pass out and he cradled her gently. He tried to be a rock for her. To bring her back to herself as much as he could. His body ached as much as it had when he'd been turned. That fire of being bled dry and slowly being born anew. He coughed slightly and rose, the sand sliding off his jeans as he licked his hand and placed it on the puncture wounds to heal.
She rolled off him and he slowly staggered to his feet and pulled a flask of blood he kept on him for emergencies. He downed it hungrily. It kept him sane as the fluid went down his throat and soaked into his cells to revitalize him once more.
'You are in Los Angeles, Lady Anne.' he said with a bow of his head as he waited to see what she would do. He truly loved her but knew that she was unstable and would hie off for years only to come back and paint his bedroom red with their shared blood. There was a part of him that loathed himself for being tied to her even as his dark side relished it and cherished her. He was the perfect blend of self loathing and excitement. He knew she would wreak havoc on the city and those in it without a second thought and he'd end up cleaning up after her.
Speaking of clean up...He moved quickly and drug the body into the water, his vampiric strength dismembering it and tossing the body parts as far from each other as he could. He made sure to tear at the throat near the bite marks to obscure them and sighed. Anne was such a messy eater.
Coming out of the water he quickly returned and began obscuring their tracks. Anne would laugh but later when he explained to her she would be staked out in the sunlight if Noah or Trent caught her he hoped she would be a little circumspect. Though given how ignorant Noah was it was likely she'd rip his head from his shoulders and feast on his blood before tossing it to Trent and saying she was in charge.
Hell had come to LA and she was hungry.

The laughter went on for quite some time, until something compelled her to stop. Shaking her head, she let out a soft sigh of pleasure from it all. To have these freedoms that many took for granted was a gift she could not contest. "There is a reason I am not an elder, I'm not one for formalities." she said, hinting her displeasure at such titles. Her name alone was enough to fill those who knew her with dread, even if it was not fear that motivated the dread. For awhile she stood eeriely still, until everything came flooding back to her all at once.
Los Angeles, the meaning of the name escaped her, but it sounded nice. She mouthed the word once, as if still impressed she could move. It was funny really, like watching a small child figure out their body. She could tell that he was uneasy about something, though for a moment she had forgotten why. That was when she remembered her ability, to read the thoughts of others. It had been so long since touched another mind, it was lying dormant in her until the next sentient being came by. "You seem uncomfortable about something, Robbie." she purred softly.
She was by his side in an instant, throwing her arms about his neck as her blue/gray eyes gazed into his. "You don't have to clean up the bodies, that is for the mortals to deal with. We are above that, let the cattle deal with their dead." she said, so emotionless and uncaring. You would never believe she was one of them with the way she spoke, but she used to be such a kind young woman. There was no discretion with her, she did whatever she wanted whenever, the consequences be damned. Slipping her hand now into his, she smiled, as if she had been given a gift.
"I know what you need Robert." she said, seeming certain of herself. Pulling him along for the ride if he didn't hesitate, they would find themselves just outside someones home along the beach. She could hear them inside, the sound of beating hearts. She counted four different heart beats, how she wanted to sample all of them. "It'll be like old times and then you can fill me in on what I have missed." she said, starting towards the door. She was never very subtle with her intent, it was obvious as the door blew off the hinges.
"Momma's home." she said softly into the home, though she was sure her voice carried into every room. She could almost sense the fear, the father was already out of bed with a gun. Anne waited patiently until she heard the click of the hammer, the gun pointed right at her heart.

Robert sighed softly and nodded, "I understand, Anne. Its been a long time and the Elders of this city are a bit more intent on protocol." he said gently to her as she stood preturnaturally still and her mind, what there was left of it, came back to her. He'd have to watch his thoughts carefully. Anne was an unabashed snoop.
He waited while his clothes dried, "There has been a lot you have missed out on, Anne." She was hugging him and he looked down at her and brushed a golden hair out of her eyes, "I know I don't have to, Annie but its what is expected by the Elders of this place. You are strong but I am just a fledgling. I have to keep a low profile." He sighed softly and she was tugging him, "Annie..." he tried to get her to see some sense. "We should be working on getting you some clean clothes and getting you set up somewhere safe."
There was no help for it though. She was too powerful and it was either watch her throw a grade A fit or travel along. "Anne! We can't just--" there was the click of a barrel and Robert went into instinctive protect mode, "Anne get down. We need to leave!" He could only hope that the bloodbath she was going to engage in could be covered up. He dove for the ground in an attempt to protect her. The gun went off and he felt his world go in slow motion

The click barely registered to her as she watched Robert dive to the ground, she would deflect his attempt to protect her with a swat of her arm. She wasn't exactly always the nicest to her fledglings when she was in this state of mind, it was a wonder they never banded together to kill her. Taking a few steps forward toward the man, he squeezed the trigger, putting several rounds into her torso. Blood spattered the remnants of the dress she wore, but she kept on moving as if they didn't even bother her more than a minor bug bite. The metal did sting her flesh, but the idea of a warm meal was much more pressing.
Staring into the mans eyes, she forced him into submission with compulsion, causing him to cast away the gun. He even walked willing into her arms, which she casually accepted and led the man up the stairs. "Let's say hello to the family, shall we?" she said, laughing as she pulled the human up the stairs. There was more screaming as she rounded them all up into one room, her human pet helping her in the matter. Anne was quick to fall back into her brutal ways, as Robert would now witness.
"I want you to watch." she said simply, releasing her grip on his mind. Walking over to the mans family, she would ravage them like a monster, painting the floor. By the end of it, it was easy to see that the man was breaking down, his pained screams came through the fading effects of the compulsion as he slowly realized what was happening. Before him she had eaten his wife, even his children. Yet what was so terrible was the fact that she had no intention of harming this man, she planned to let him go, to live with this image until he destroyed himself.
Her color had all returned, her blue eyes radiant, golden hair shining as if it were in the sun. Her skin was flawless, she stood out like a well polished gem in a pile of coal. The bullets that found their way into her body now dropped to the floor, the wounds closing slowly behind them. "Thanks for dinner, handsome." she said, strolling out of the room now, ready to see the city. She wanted to get her bearings quickly, to hunt more. The woman on the beach, Robert, the three bodies in the upstairs bedroom, even they were not enough for her.
"I want to see the city now Robbie, to find a better herd of cattle." she said, once more labelling them with such a low title. "Leave the bodies, as long as I am by your side no one is going to touch you." she commanded, striding out onto the porch. "Take me to the noises, I wish to see them."

The blood bath only got worse the more he watched. His attempts to stop her proved fruitless as she tore through the human family like they were tissues. He inwardly sighed and began to think as he slipped outside to let her finish her kills. Any attempts to stop her would be wasted. Still there was more that could be done.
Robert remembered the spot so he could come back later and finish the human to put him out of his misery. No one should....he began to break out in a cold sweat and moved into the water. Its cold dephths not as bad as the chill that filled his body. The way the room was painted red it was similar to Melissa too similar and he shook inwardly.
Walking out of the water he watched her approach and saw as her dress hung on her in shreds, "I know just the place, Anne. But we need to dress you better first. You want to be able to surprise them don't you?" he purred at her and gave her the grin that had made her turn him in the first place. He beckoned her to follow him and made his way to Ai's store. Clothes. It was late, the only one there would be vampires. He'd be able to let them see her.
"I always like it when you wear nice things." he called over his shoulder and kept running faster than human sight could read. "I know a woman that makes exquisit gowns and jewlery and she should know all the prime hunting grounds."

Anne watched Robert from the porch, her face, and what remained of her gown covered in their blood. Her eyes were pitch black, the feral reaction triggered when she fed on humans. For several moments she studied him, wondering if she had failed somewhere again. In her quest to create the perfect fledgling, she was utterly disappointed so far, though Robert was closer to it than the rest. But he avoided the room, in fact it seemed like he loathed what she had done. He lost alot of blood, there was plenty for him to feed on, yet he did not.
"Is there something wrong with my body still? Are you ashamed to look upon me like this?" she shot back, her tone sounding irritated for unknown reasons. She loved to watch them flail in the breeze, searching for the right things to say to not set her off. Though she knew he had decent intentions, he simply thought she might be more comfortable most likely. "You didn't join me." she stated, her tone expressed a hurt similar to being the only one at your party.
Seeing him start to run, Anne took off after him like a shot, the human blood flowing through her. She felt empowered, more so than she had in the last few years. It took restraint not to simply outrun him, to keep going until she decided to stop. "I know you do, Robbie. I know." she said quietly, it was truly the one thing she even gave back. She let him do these things because he enjoyed them, that was a rare privelige when it came to her.
"I hope that is true, because I want more.."

He came to her and enveloped her in his arms softly, "I love you, Annie." he kissed her forhead softly and licked a bit of the blood off her forehead. He leaned in and kissed her with heat to melt her cool icy rage, "Now come. Lets get you some nice things." he took off at a quick run. "You'll get more I promise." he said quietly to her as he moved through town in the blink of an eye and left her to follow him. THREAD CLOSED
